They did not have the tire in stock that she needed. So she asked if they could put on her spare tire. I went in for an oil change and I overheard his conversation with an employee instructing him to be a shark to me and say that many things are wrong with my car when it isn't. His employee even told me about it and apologized to me. What a fucking jerk! His employees are even to embarrassed for his behavior. Last year when I purchased my lifetime alignment, they were way more accommodating. Now, not so much. Full disclosure: I have a lifted SUV. When I purchased the lifetime alignment, I asked if it would be a problem. They said no, just as long as you to lift the truck anymore that what it is now. Fast forward to today, they said they can only do a limited alignment. That is not what I was led to believe when I purchased the lifetime alignment. If I knew that, obviously I wouldn't have bought it. I then proceeded to ask for a refund, and they declined. read more

I'm happy with Firestone in general. I use them for all my cars. I have 5 kids, so we've had a lot of cars over the past few years. The manager at the Santa Ana location is friendly and easy to work with. When I walked in, he apparently had looked at my car in the lot, looked up the plate in their computer and said "Hi Paul, I already have your record pulled up." Nice customer service touch. I go to Firestone because they have a network of stores. They have the Primewell brand that is economical but today they said they also have the Pirelli PZeros that I need for my Porsche. I can go here or the north Santa Ana location and the service will be prompt, professional and friendly. read more

Service is NOT their middle name. Started my car this Sunday morning and discovered that my Left front tire indicator was on. I drove on my run-flat to firestone for air. All the bays were empty but there were two employees working on jobs. The manager, the guy at the front desk, was just standing around with nothing to do because there was no customers in the store. He told me that I would have to wait 20 to 30 minutes before they could check the air in my tire. I told him I was late as I did sound at my church but he just got more insistent. I have been buying tires from firestone on Bristol in Santa Ana for 30 years now. I have the firestone card. I always thought the service was poor and attitudes equally rude. I set the appointment for 3 and called saying I was going to be late they quoted me an hour and when an hour went by and no one even moved car I asked for my keys back and left. I called back later asking why I even made an appointment and they said they quoted me an hour and a half to two hours. Wasted 3 hours of my life I can never get back. Came here to bring my Tesla Model3 in for an alignment after I installed a lowered suspension on it. I explained the the service advisor Ivan that 1) the car was lowered 2) since the car may not be in the system I have a print out of the factory alignment specs and 3) I just needed to also retorque the camber/ torque/ and sway bar links. Easy stuff... front end is like an Audi A4 and rear end is like a Porsche 911. The advisor looked at the car and said they've aligned lower cars than mine. So I asked if they have 2x4's to put under the ramp to make it up and he said not to worry it'll clear no problem. Fast forward 3 hours later and they come back to tell me the car is too low for their rack. The advisor said the ramps needed are locked away in another techs box (such a BS response since you only need 2x4's and the car would clear easy) Complete waste of time!!! read more

I barely write on yelp, but I feel people need to know about this one in particular so it can be avoided... and so I'm gonna rant here instead because corp won't listen. I cringe every time I drive by this place. Can't believe it's still open. Long story short, manager or whoever there overcharged me for tires, did not want to honor the online price even after I showed him. He seemed like a pushy crooked salesman. Pretty much told me "hey too bad". It wasn't all too bad though, the ones working on my car were good and friendly people, did it fast, but in the end the manager pulled a fast one as well haha. I reported the incident online, they said they'll take care of it, but actually never did, never contacted me once. I believe Firestone is a good company, but they need to weed out some people. Dear Mr. Gleason, I volunteered to send this letter. This is to thank you for such outstanding people to work with as Vince Harris and Sam Gordon at the South Bristol Firestone Store in Santa Ana. I came into the store on February 28 at about 12:30 pm and was immediately greeted by Vince in the most gracious and polite manner. I was impressed by him as being extremely personable, and customer-service oriented. He made me feel welcomed and had an innate ability to make me feel like I had been a long time and appreciated customer. As we discussed my needs to replace my tires, it was obvious to me how knowledgeable he was with Firestone products and how intellectually sharp he was overall. I could see he would take an approach with me that would meet my needs as a customer while offering the best service and products offered by Firestone. In addition to these qualities, Vince is a superb communicator. He is able to sense what is needed and make the customer feel fully understood. After understanding the needs of the customer, he did an excellent job of providing a clear picture of everything that would be accomplished in order to meet those needs. That communication skill and knowledge, something that I have observed in varying degrees for over 40 years in banking, is remarkable and very rare. He could obviously serve at an executive level. I also want to thank you for the opportunity of associating with Sam Gordon, the manager in the store. Sam was also extremely polite and considerate in dealing with me. It became obvious as I sat in the lobby that his overall professionalism and customer-service orientation has created a culture there in that shop that makes employees and customers feel comfortable and highly valued. We came to fix a nail in a tire that had become quite an issue over time and really needed to be resolved ASAP. Called a couple of places off of Yelp and were unhappy with the news we got until we called this place. Unlike everywhere else, they didn't hassle us over the phone, didn't charge an outrageous fee, and guaranteed a quick turn around time. Sold! We were about 5 minutes away from the location and the manager knew who we were before we even walked up - "you called about the tire?" Yep. He got a guy to assist us, look at the tire, quote a price, and then told us to chill in the lobby, enjoy the wifi, and all would be sorted in 15 minutes. 15 minutes later and $25 out of pocket, the tire was all patched up. The shop itself is very clean with a great lobby area and friendly respectable employees. They didn't try to up sell us which was greatly appreciated. read more

I was concerned about coming in here given the poor ratings from prior, but the location was close to where I live and they were open early! Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised by their excellent customer service and care. They got my car in for a quick flat repair and I was out of there within 30-40 minutes. They did a great job of patching a tire, explaining the process, and were courteous throughout. Sam, the manager, took good care of me. He seemed honest and courteous. He explained that the morning slots are typically not saved for appointments so that they can get people in with emergencies like mine in and out. This is a nice feature and should be noted for anyone looking for urgent matters to be addressed in the morning time! They seem to have done a good job with the tire itself, but I guess only time will tell. I would certainly come back here for any urgent needs. A definite recommend! read more

I came here back in July and paid over $600 for service. I was not ordered any coupon specials for any of the services I was rendered. I am also a Gold member who is terrible customer service. I took my vehicle to another location today only to find out the technician never returned my wheel lock back to the box they took it from in my glove compartment. I call and am given a story about another lady that complained about hers not being returned but end up finding it in her glove compartment. Making comparisons to customers is never a good idea. Only because it incinuates that your situation is the same. Now our am told I have to go back so their location so they can look at my vehicle. It's either you have it or not, which they should. If they don't, then it is their responsibility to replace it, since they failed to return it initially. Every Firestone I've received service from has always returned it back in my glove compartment in the box hey found it. My schedule is so full that if I find time to make it there (it's out of my way), then I will be losing time from work which means I'll lose money. I should actually take away all their stars. I am giving Firestone another 2 stars for the quick turn around response and how corporate handled my situation. My situation was handled with the most satisfaction. To make a long story short. I have my wheel lock and I am satisfied. If I didn't have the initial experience I am sure I would have given Firestone 5 stars. Perhaps I might try this locations once again but I know this time around I will have to be cautious and not be so trusting they are going to return my wheel lock or anything else. However when I explained my predicament that I had to drive to San Diego the very same evening, Omar the manager did not hesitate to help. They brought me in, let me use the rest room to wash my hands as I had changed the tire to the donut. Both Omar and the Tire Technician Jose, worked on the tire to ensure I was safely back on the road. These two gentlemen saved the day. These guys went above and beyond,stayed beyond business hours to help me get back onbthe road. Extremely professional and best customer service ever. Thank you Omar and Jose. I took my car here because I had two nails in my tire, and wasn't sure if I needed a repair or replacement. I was quoted $30 per patch for my tires. The person who helped me then told me 30 mins later me that my tire was unfixable, and that I would have to replace both rear tires. I didn't have time to complete the service, so I took my car and brought it to American Time Depot the next day, which was closer to home.They examine my tire and told me that it was totally fixable! Whoever helped me at Firestone was trying to up-sell me, and it sucks. read more

Review update. This location has a hard time keeping appointments. We came in for a 9am appointment and were told it should take about 2-3 hours. We came back 3 hours later, and they still hadn't started on our car. Their excuse: "well this is one of our busiest locations." And...? That's not an excuse to overbook. That's not an excuse to forget to take a car in. I work in one of the busiest industries...NEVER do we excuse ourselves for missing something. They lied to me twice in two days- over a simple tire repair. Yesterday they told me that it'd take 1-1.5 hrs to fix my tire that had a slow leak. I called them after an hour to get an update. The guy (a young person in his 20's) said my car was just put up on the rack and he'd call when he had an answer whether it could be repaired or not. Since my phone was almost dead, I decided to walk back to the store from across the street. When I got there a few minutes later, my car was in the parking lot. The guy looked very surprised to see me and said that they had to take my car down because of another car something. I honestly don't remember the rest of his lame excuse. I was going to tear into him, but I just asked for my keys and left. Today I spoke with a different person (the other guy wasn't there). He told me that my tire couldn't be repaired b/c the nail was on the outer quarter of the tire and a patch wouldn't work. So instead of $20 it'd be $80 for a new tire. I told him I couldn't afford it and left. I drove down the street to the Sears store and they repaired the tire. When I explained what Firestone said, the guy said that as long as the leak wasn't on the outside edge of the tire it was repairable. I've been going to this Firestone store for years, but after this two events, Firestone has lost my business forever. read more

I came here for a battery test and somehow they managed to up sell a test for alternator and battery . I have seen this test done by most auto techs for free . The worse is I eventually did get my battery replaced for free and in most cases such diagnostic tests get waived off too but this store did not . Based on one of the earlier reviews I totally agree that these guys try to extract the most out of you for nothing . Saddened by the way how they extract out of customers . I am writing to express my concerns about the service I received on April 22, 2019 at 3733 S Bristol St, Santa Ana, CA 92704 (Store #018716 / Customer Invoice 183196). I arrived at approximately 9AM for an oil change and an alignment since I have the lifetime alignment warranty. I received an estimated completion time of 45 minutes. One hour later, I received a phone call explaining that my vehicle had several suggested maintenance packages to ensure the car functions properly. I accepted because it was stated that they would be completed within an hour and trusting that this was in the best interest of the vehicle. An hour and a half later I returned to the shop, the vehicle was parked outside, and I was informed that two customers were ahead of me and it had yet to be serviced. I told them that I needed to leave and to cancel service because I would be late for appointments. They insisted that that they would have it out in within a few minutes, so I continued to wait. Thirty minutes later I was told the vehicle was nearly complete. Over twenty minutes after this update I paid and left. The time was nearly 12:30 PM. Less than five minutes after leaving a warning light appeared on the dashboard that was not there before my visit. Every team member was cordial; however, I left with several concerns: 1) Were the services on the invoice actually completed? 2) If yes, were they completed properly? 3) Was I overcharged? 4) Why did I have to wait almost an hour and forty-five minutes longer than the quoted time of completion? I prefer to give up the lifetime alignment warranty to avoid this type of experience in the future. It is not worth my time and I do not see the value in the upcharge for services that may have been unnecessary. I will not return Firestone with these concerns and would urge others to consider a different service provider. read more

I went in and paid for a full synthetic oil change. the first guy who helped was polite. I was told it would take up to 40 - 50 minutes as they were not busy. After 20 minutes of waiting another employee called me over to one of their terminals and said I needed new brakes and it would cost an estimated $800.00 maybe more but he can apply a 10% discount If I pay cash. I said let me think about it I'll get back to you, he then raised his voice at me and said "ma'am this is your family's safety and you have to think about it?" I was more than a little taken aback by his tone and demeanor when speaking to me. I went outside to contemplate how I was going to decline the brake job. I noticed the first guy I spoke with enter the waiting area and I hurried back in so I can tell him I wasn't going to get the brakes done as I didn't want to speak with the other guy again. When I tried to talk to the first employee who helped he said I would have to wait for the other guy. when the mean guy entered I told him I wasn't getting the brakes done, he said "okay it's your life at risk not mine. it will be a 2 hour wait for the oil change" I advised him we were given a 40 to 50 minute wait time and he replied " we're busy, it will be 2 hours". I then said I couldn't wait 2 hours and asked for my car back , he said since my car was on the lift and everyone was busy, i would have to wait until someone became available to take it down. I stupidly said since I already paid I would be back later to pick up my car. I left to do some retail therapy to calm myself from this horrible experience. I went back to get my car a couple hours later and when I drove off I noticed my car felt different like it was struggling a little to move forward, sort of like when your car battery starts to die. Forward two weeks later and my car felt like it was going to turn off while driving. I pull over and open the hood like I know what I'm doing. The first thing I notice is crumpled up food wrappers and my oil stick hanging over halfway and bent. i called triple AAA and they towed me to the nearest mechanic shop. The guy there was really nice and he said since I used regular motor oil it wasn't lubricating the engine parts like the synthetic oil I should be using does. I did tell him I got an oil change 2 weeks back and I ordered full synthetic. He advised that is not what they put in and my oil filter doesn't look like a new one. one engine flush later my car feels better while driving and the mechanic said my brakes were good, also I checked and he didn't leave trash under my hood. Now, I'm going to go and give that auto shop a glowing review. read more

I asked again for air, I needed to get to work, someone in the shop shouted you have to wait 5 or 10 minutes. Well you shout at me for no reason other than I need air in my tires, I am gone ,will never bother you again for anything. The staff here are friendly, and timely, if you're looking to get an oil change you're probably ok. I asked them to replace an actuator in my dash that was making noise, which cost $800 to remove the dash plus parts. A month later I had the same noise, plus another one, and my heat and AC won't adjust the temp. anymore. I've had to call their help desk so many times I was supposedly transferred to a corporate office representative because I had moved out of state and wasn't getting support for the warranty work to fix my car in KS, where I had moved to at the time. If you're active-duty military (like I am) or if you move a lot, I would encourage you to go somewhere else. The mechanics by in large are good, they may have failed to annotate which part they replaced and the mechanics in KS wouldn't honor the warranty, I think because they wanted to be able to charge me another $800, plus parts. I ended up spending a few hundred dollars on a rental car in KS because the corporate office doesn't have an effective system for tracking what their mechanics are capable of, so I struggled to find a store in KS that could even assess the problem. I've been a firestone customer for several years, and now I want to help others avoid them if at all possible. It's a shame because the mechanics are great people, but the corporate and regional leaders are incompetent in my opinion. read more
