An oil change estimated around 2.5hrs and the coolant+brakes added another like 2.5 hrs. Went in at 9 and picked up notification at like 2:30PM (wasn't waiting there). [[HIGHLIGHT]]No shuttle today (maybe only drop off no pick up), but timely texting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The coffee is pretty good, limited seats inside, solid air conditioning, EXTREMELY CLEAN. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They gave me quotes no problem on things I needed to fix and space to do my own research. I appreciate they didn't try to take advantage of a girl/was approachable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was a google review thingie and coupons for $10 off. Maybe a bit of upsell on the coolant, but i figured my car needed the service once in a while for all the life its had. They suggest a liittle more serious things than I have experienced in the past like shocks/control arms. But overall anything they suggested for immediate repair totaled to a little under $1000 - decent// i did not do everything. I think the tire deals are cheaper than costco (and has some sort of repair warranty), the coolant they use is not the manufacturer brand (a common third party blend, long life), and they offer full synthetic and synthetic blend oil. I came in for an oil change deal ( tip: you can get a coupon if you sign up for the rewards on the chain website too). [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also honored super transparently - no price upcharges (basic sedan) besides a bit of tax), the appointment was super easy with a form, email confirmation from the scheduler, coming in at the time- line moved fast[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a really good deal and I appreciate the nonaggressive sales pitching.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything was in terms of best interest maintenance. It can be a bit pricy in some things (probably a great deal on tires though), but its probably to the cost of the living area/economy situation of parts. I replaced my rear brake pads and it fixed the squeaking. Overall, I felt like it was a clean earnest location and I was happy to receive the quotes/have an informed choice. Always good to have an idea of what you come here for :). I would come here again, but I guess I do have to see how the quality holds up as I'm not a car person. I'd recommend dropping your car off and walking to the other plazas to try some nice food like crack shack/back bay area walk (if you're motivated to walk that far). I brought my car in on the Thursday and was pleased to see the price was $10 lower than the original quote. After the work was done, less than an hour, the guy at the front desk, Drake said " I have some good news for you, your car didn't need an alignment" and subtracted $100 from my already great price. I would rate this repair facility with NEGATIVE stars if it were possible. I had several repairs performed on my vehicle to prepare for a 2000 mile trip. I was VERY clear that I would be towing a trailer so I spared no expense addressing the issues. 1) I paid for valve cover gaskets to be replaced. This is a diesel that has 6 individual valve cover gaskets. They replaced 5. The back one was too difficult I guess. Valve cover gaskets were not torqued, so half way on my trip, the truck starting spraying oil all over the engine compartment creating a fire hazard and a potential for engine failure. 2) Brakes. I asked for them to address a brake that was pulling. They replaced rotors and pads. One week later- I had a brake failure while going down a grade with the loaded trailer, almost striking 2 cars. Brake hose wasn't replaced and it failed due to mishandling. I had to take the truck to another shop to complete work I asked to be done. 3) At another shop, inspecting the work, it was identified that the dust caps over both front wheel bearings were left off. Creating no way for grease to remain in the front wheel bearings and potentially creating a bearing failure while traveling. Remember- I told them I would be towing 10K behind me for a 2000 miles. 4) I paid for AC to be repaired. They replaced the AC condenser. AC was not fully charged. 5) Front end components. ( Tie rod ends, Upper control arms, etc.) I was told that the reason the front end components were so expensive was that the center link was "very large". The center link was not replaced. Cotter keys were not installed correctly and new parts were not greased. I can tell you that I am lucky I did not have a wheel failure at speed or have an accident that hurt someone or worse. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP. I spent almost $5000 in repairs that I have to have redone due to poor mechanic work. Oh- and one last item that was more annoying than anything- when I was told the truck was ready to be picked up ( I had already paid my bill)- the truck had heavy grease on my floor mats, door sills and steering wheel. (The truck was clean upon its arrival) I have pictures of all of this. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I spoke to the Manager when I picked it up and his only answer was for me to "leave it" and he would get it clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Again- I cannot say this loud enough: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR ANY SERVICE!! read more

Woke up to a flat tire thanks to a nail. I called Discount Tire, and they told me to come right in, they'd patch it for free. When I arrived, the shop was nearly empty--maybe two cars. Despite this, they quoted me a 4-5 hour wait. Strange, considering how slow it was. Then came the real scam: after a quick glance, they told me my tire couldn't be repaired and that I needed two brand-new tires for $1,100--which is more than what I paid for all four tires originally. I didn't buy it. Took my car straight to Costco, where they patched the tire for free, no BS, no upselling, and certainly no lies. Discount Tire didn't even try to help, they went straight for the wallet. This place isn't just unhelpful, it's predatory. They prey on people in a bind, and they hope you won't question them. Chris at discount tire had much better pricing, service, and worked much more quickly than the time estimate given by the dealership. Installed four new tires and let me know the alignment was off, but to double check with the dealership first before getting it fixed. The dealership again gave me a much higher price than discount tire for getting my alignment fixed. Brought it back into discount tire and Luis, the manager, gave me a great discount and showed me how the process was done. Even though they are "salesmen," it doesn't feel like they are actively forcing you to buy anything and make sure you get a discount if you are dissatisfied or in distress.
