However, they still charged me the $9.99 and advised me I needed 2 new tires. My tires were new. They came back with a long list of things I needed done. All of my struts needed replacing, they were leaking. Needed new wiper blades. All of this was to be a total of $3148.68! they wanted me to do it today. I called Dr Automotive and got a rough quote for the 4 struts and it was $500 cheaper. I took my car to Dr Automotive to have struts replaced, they looked at them and told me they are not leaking and do not need to be replaced. So Firestone lied to me!!! I dropped my vehicle off at Firestone to get bolt stem replaced. I was quoted $226.00. I called Discount Tire to get a quote for the same repair, and it was $100 cheaper. I called Firestone to ask if they had already started working on my vehicle. I was told yes, and I explained the situation. I was instructed to talk to the manager. I talked the John the manager and explained the situation. The only thing he said was, well I guess that we charge more for labor. He showed no concern about my issue. Please get other quotes before taking you vehicle to Firestone. The part was only $6.99 and it took less than an hour to repair. I paid $182.00 in labor. read more

We should have known a corporate mechanic would have been the worst possible decision to make. We made an appointment three days prior, and called the day before to confirm the appointment. Everything checked out. We took our truck in to have the ac fixed at 7am, and we're told we did not have the appointment. We called the correct store. I used the same page to get the adress to the location. They took us in that slot anyway. As they should have, being as we made the appointment AND called to confirm it. Then we were told it would be a four hour job. Five hours max. They started on it at 9am. That couldn't have been more incorrect. I dropped off my spouse at the five hour mark after calling to make sure the truck would be ready for me to drop him off in my way to work. They told us they had 20 more minutes on it. 2:30, I drop him off. And he ends up being there until almost an hour past close (8pm) when there was supposedly 20 minutes left. They admitted to breaking bolts. Claimed they didn't have anything they needed to work on the vehicle. Instead of telling us, they wasted our time by telling us it's almost done when they haven't even started. And yes, they admitted to not starting it at 8pm. My spouse had to Uber home. No reimbursement was offered until a complaint to corporate was made for the waste of time and lack of communication on firestones part. Same thing happened the next day. Completely wasted our time by telling us it's almost done and then saying AGAIN they need more time because once again, they didn't have the part AGAIN, after us driving there to pick it up. 48 hours later and $2500 for what? They claimed they added discounts, but how would the price still be the same as when we were quoted? The truck is currently making cranking/clattering noises when the ac is turned on as if there's metal banging. We took it back once again and they opened the hood but didn't bother to run any kind of diagnostic or try to figure out the problem because it wasn't making the noise in that moment. There's $2500 down the drain and we've found a new mechanic that has to go back in and fix all that Firestone has done. By far worst experience. I would not reccomend Firestone to anyone. Shit customer service no follow through doing what the say they'll do, corporate customer service just as useless. So I had the people here to check the AC on my car as it wasn't blowing cold air. They determined it was the compressor and priced the labor and what not at $1,300!!!!! So I asked them to give me a quote to which was told it would be emailed to me. And now 5 days later still not quote. Even though I was assured that I was emailed the quote even when I called back twice to have them email me again. Yes I checked the junk file and no email was from them. Sent corporate a message to which a response was given that they would be happy to assist me and get the quote I just needed to give them my info. Easy done, and after a day of nothing I receive an email saying that they had spoke with someone from the store, Will was his name, and they would email the quote to me. Guess what still no quote. So because they want to treat me like a fool, no longer will I use Bridgestone, Firestone or its affiliates anymore. If I could make the rating lower I would I hope this helps someone else not use these people for auto repair. I made an appointment for 9am to check my battery after the team at valvoline told me it was bad and I had gotten it just shy of 3 years from this Firestone. I dropped the car off and didn't hear anything so I called at 10:30am and they hadn't even tested it ( which takes 5 minutes) and said they would do it next. Again didn't hear anything and at noon I called again and they hadn't tested it and said they would do it now. I get a call 5 minutes later that it is bad and I not only need a new one but my headlight is out (which valvoline checked and it worked the night before). They quoted me $311 and at first didn't prorate the battery since it was a 5 year battery and failed after 3 years. Guy said he needed to check with someone and would call back, again an hour or so goes by and nothing. I had to call them again to get an answer - they were trying to upsell me a higher battery which I didn't need since my car is older and not planning on keeping it that long. I didn't get the car until almost 4pm that day - the whole experience was a pain and the guy who was handling the phones was so unhelpful and acting like the whole interaction was a bother. The lack of communication and wasting time is so unprofessional, what's the point in an appointment if you're not going to do anything until 3 hours later. I have been A loyal customer to the Smyrna fire stone for many years. Always allowing them to do everything from a lightbulb change, new tires, tuneup, brakes, literally almost EVERYTHING on the vehicle. This last visit on 1/20/20 and then on 1/25 will be the last! We had made an appointment because of SEVERE vibration between 60-70 mph. Coming from a mechanical family background. We were thinking, an alignment, rotate and balance. WRONG! According to Firestone Smyrna. Even though it had only been 2 years since new tires where one BY THIS FIRESTONE, had them rotated and balanced as outlined in the original ticket, and only having 35K miles. I'm being told that "They definitely need to be replaced and this WILL correct this issue" per Kevin Sales advisor and manager Randy. Reluctantly I agreed because this is the only vehicle that I had and had to make sure that me and my family were safe. They install the tires and next thing you know amazingly I need an alignment now. I tell them to go for it. I have to keep my family safe. Fast forward 3 1/2 hours later and everything is done. Immediately I get on the interstate at Sam Ridley and he's my way to 70 miles an hour. It starts shaking and vibrating like it was doing the exact same way before. And now when I apply the brakes it makes it even worse. I safely slow my car down to 55 miles an hour get off the exit at Almaville Road turn around and head right back towards that area but now they are already closed. I called the manager and explain exactly what happened and how I was told that if we put new tires on this vehicle even though the previous ones had only 35,000 miles on them that it would rectify the situation and it is still occurring. He tells me to bring it back I'll tell him I will as soon as I can, because I work horrible hours, I was not able to bring it back in until the 25th. But in order to keep my family safe I actually went and purchased a brand new car off of the lot. Fast forward to yesterday which was January 25. My husband goes in speaks with them and they take the vehicle back. They say that everything checks out the only thing is there's one tire is pulling high and they say the alignment is fine and everything is fine. So they rotate the tires again and say you should be good to go to my husband. I'll tell him to get on the interstate and see. Still doing the same thing. I tell him to go back and he does. They take it back and I told him to mention to him that my brother who has been a mechanic that lives in another state for 42 years said it sounds like your rotors are messed up, even though you just had brakes put on through fire stone not more than a year ago. I tell my husband to tell them what my brother said about the rotors so they take it off and says that there is a spot on the rotors and they turn the rotors and can turn the rotors for $70. I finally told my husband go ahead and do it because we have to be traveling out of town in the next few days. We will see today when I take it out on the interstate if it is fixed or not. They even performed a safety inspection when I got the new tires and also every time I get an oil change and also if I have a headlight replaced I have them check the car over because that's how I am with my maintenance on my vehicle. Never one time have they said anything about the rotors having a hotspot on them even when they changed the rotors and brakes themselves. I understand one of the values of a business is up selling however when a facility puts their patrons life in jeopardy and don't give a damn about it that is when I have a problem. AND BOY DO WE HAVE A PROBLEM!! This incident has really concerned me and I have reached out to fire stone corporate via their little review "thing". And as I told them they need to make it right AND stop messing with peoples lives and safety especially in a vehicle that travels the interstate every day I don't think they understand the number of lives that they are potentially causing serious permanent damage or death to with their scare tactics and sales techniques. Additionally I have suggested that they possibly need some diversity training. Because you can clearly see from my picture on this review I am gay and to hear the workers of this shop call people "Faggots, Queers, and "Butt Pirates" is unacceptable and I will be reaching out to Corporate Firestone AGAIN, the attorney general of Tennessee, the council persons of Smyrna and Rutherford County, as well as my attorney. Bad Customer Service Be careful of this place. They damaged my car. I took my Dodge truck to this store to have the brake pads changed out. When I picked it up the next day and drove the truck not more than 3 blocks there was a loud grinding sound coming from the back axle. I looked under the truck and saw fluid leaking from the rear differential. I took the truck back to Firestone and asked from them to look at it and have the manager call me. The Manager never called and when I went back into the store they said they did nothing to to the back of the truck. I told him how could that be when they supposedly do a full body inspection to give service recommendations. A rear differential normally will last the life of a car unless you drag race. I believe someone took my truck at night for a joy ride. The manager would not do anything about the damaged truck now that is undriveable. He would not even take money off the service I just had or meet me half way. He quoted me a price to repair the truck at over $3000. When I brought my truck into Firestone it was drove fine and just needed brakes changed for $200, now it is unmovable. I waited 5 1/2 hours to have rotors and brakes put on. They try to upsell me on everything including tires that I previously bought 2 months prior at a different place. When they suggested I need a new tires before they worked on my car I knew immediately I was at the wrong place. I felt most badly for an elderly woman who waited four hours to put brakes on her car. They told her they needed to order the parts but after she had been waiting for 2 1/2 hours. They also ordered the parts from advance auto parts, she could've driven down there and picked them up and come back in less than 10 minutes as the store is only a few miles away. I've used this firestone for several years. They used to be decent and trustworthy. They had a guy there they helped us a couple times and we were pleased with the service. Then they got a manager who was a jerk. He refused to let us use the discount coupon Firestone nailed us. He said we were already getting a good deal. Then I needed brakes. Took it in, paid full price. Breaks still squealed. Took it back and were told we needed new breaks. They apparently charged us and did not do anything. Got home, still squealing. Took it back a THIRD time and waited for them to replace our breaks. That was a couple years ago. Now our car is making a chirping sound in the engine. We took it in. They said it was the belt, and charged us. Guess what, the engine still chirps while running. Here's the kicker though. When we were checking out, the manager came up and told the tech to call another customer to get their car. The tech said to his boss "but you overcharged the labor by 4 hours", the manager replied "I don't care, just call them". This place is in NO WAY honest or trustworthy. If you got you car worked on there in March '18, look at your bill. Somebody got gouged several hundred dollars. I will not be back after I get my money back for this belt. I will never use this company or it's services again and will recommend the same to family and friends. When I went to drop my truck off for an oil change, spark plug change, and to have my brakes fixed, I was quoted almost $1000. This included things that I did not ask for, and was told it was included in the tune-up. After removing those things that I again, didn't ask for, I was quoted almost $700. Fine, a bit steep, but you pay for convenience. I receive a call a few hours later stating that my brakes were in terrible condition and that they would fix them, but my new total would be almost $2000. I went back to the store and asked for a breakdown of the work they recommended as well as what I was already paying for, as I didn't seem to understand. Maybe I'm stupid, or maybe it wasn't explained well, I'll be the first to admit I'm not good with cars, and your business model seems to be built around preying on folks like me. When a different man quoted me the price on the things that I was originally quoted $700, I was quoted only $500. So not only were my brakes being fixed (as I was expecting) not included in the original amount I was quoted, but I was also going to be charged $200 for seemingly no reason? I never did get an answer as to why the services were all of a sudden $200 cheaper either. I told the man that I could not afford to spend almost 3x the amount I was originally told I would be spending. Again, I would like to reiterate they wanted to charge me $2000. The representative pleaded with me to have it done, and that my truck was not safe to drive, but I couldn't afford it. I had to drive my supposedly unsafe truck back home, because I couldn't afford to spend thousands on what I thought was included in the original price. So, not only are my brakes still not fixed and dangerous to drive on, but I had to spend almost $500 on an oil change, spark plug change, and new ignition wires. Went in on Saturday to get an alignment took 2.5 hours with an appointment. Got my truck back and started to drive, the truck pulled right and the steering wheel is facing the 10:30 position. Took it back the following Sunday to get another alignment. I hear the alignment tech flooring my truck everywhere. Not sure why the guy was out there beating the heck out of my truck. To top things off the alignment is still the same. They gave me read outs of each day, not sure how i drive 3 miles back home park my truck and come back the next day and the alignment is out of wack again and im hoping it doesn't hurt my brand new tires(According to the readout). They fixed the power steering and told me that the BRAKE LIGHTS were fine. When I reminded them that I had no tillights, the sales clerk just said "oh." Crooks. Plain and simple. Had a flat. Used a temporary name brand emergency plug kit to get my business to Firestone and give them money and get it professionally plugged. They say it's against store policy to repair/plug tires that the customer has touched. But they can sell me a new tire to replace the year old that needs repair. You just lost all my business... Just now. Seeing as the other tire stores nearby had no issue plugging tires that customers used an emergency kit on, I call BS... Beware!!!! Today I went to Firestone for an oil change and was read a list of recommended repairs. The girl that read the list said I had an axle boot ripped open. When I asked to see the boot, I found that there was nothing wrong with it at all. The boot was simply seaping grease as is expected on my 2004 Pilot. I called the manager to the front, not the real manager Randy, and explained how I was lied to and taken advantage of by his employees. After investigating further, the mechanic admitted he had misrepresented the severity of the boot damage and apologized. The girl in the front of the store never apologized for exaggerating an already exaggerated lie. The manager in the store at the time apologized and said it was a mistake. It wasn't a mistake. It was intentional and they got caught in a lie. What they did is enethical, illegal, and criminal. I will be calling the store manager tomorrow, Randy, to tell him about this issue but I will also be leaving reviews concerning my experience. I've worked with them for 8 years.
