This place is just awful. They give you a fee upfront and then it's magically much higher later. I called on July 5 at about 3:05pm, spoke with Greg, gave my car's details, and was told a fee for a particular type of oil change (full synthetic). He then suggested to come in that same day and they can get the work done the same day. I get there 20 minutes later and I'm told they're full and can't take any more cars. It's the day after a holiday and their lot was full, so I don't press the issue and just decide to come back the next day. I go back the next day and the fee is nearly 50% higher than what I was told over the phone. I tell them that I spoke with someone who gave me a specific fee for the work just yesterday, but they said Greg didn't recall the conversation. I took my car to JiffyLube for an oil change and tire rotation, during the tire rotation it was discovered that my break pads needed to be replaced. JiffyLube does not do break pads so I decided to drive down the street to Firestone. When I got there, the customer's service rep kept trying to persuade me to go home and they'll call me when they know whats wrong with the car (even though I already told them I need break pads, nothing more). I decided to wait in the store since I had nothing else to do. 5mins later the technician got in my car and drove off without any communication. I got really curious and began to wonder what happened to my car, I stood outside for about 5mins until the technician reappeared with my car. After his inspection a different technician called me to the car and told me that my tires were damaged and tried to sell me their tires..thats when I got really upset because I just came from JiffyLube were I got a tire rotation and I know for a fact the tire wasn't punctured. They also mentioned that I need to replace both front and back break-pads...I felt really duped and left the store without getting any repairs done. Ended up going to JustTires and they said the back break pads were fine, only the front needed replacement and the screw didn't penetrate the tire enough to cause a leak so it was just removed free of charge. This place always recommends maintenance that's not usually needed for another half a year or not needed period. I got my fancy Firestone big boy tires here and got the lifetime tire rotation/balance package so I end up coming here for the tire rotation/balancing and get an oil change at the same time. This place is A-ok for an oil change. The staff are really nice and helpful and I know they have crazy sales goals, however proving prices quotes/recommendations for at times premature and unnecessary maintenance is a BIG #FAIL in my book. Pulled into these guys with a screw in my front left tire. Been driving on it for a week with absolutely no tire pressure loss. The technician Wheaton(?) looked at it and says "no problem, it's in a perfect spot for a plug/patch" so I left the car with him. He calls me an hour later and tells me his manager says the tire is unfixable and recommends I replace all four tires, (they have 15,000 miles on them). I tell him thanks but no thanks and take the car. I take the car to an independent shop near my home a week later and they fix it in 15 mins. Didn't even charge me but let me tip out the technician. I ask about the condition of the tires and they say that they are barely broken in. When it comes time to buy new rubber I know where I'll be going. Do not go here. I'm in strong belief they rig cars. I'm an Uber driver and I brought the car here for what sounded like a brake repair. (Since I rent a car through Uber they know that the insurance takes care of all repairs) After they "looked at it," the brakes were a lot worse and something sounded like it was dragging. They said not only brakes but the rotors needed to be fixed. also said they couldn't repair it until they had the part anyway. Then when they repaired it, the brakes were still noisy so I had to take it in again. In the midst of this, when I'm explaining all this to a staff member there, he doesn't show any empathy but instead mentions I was late for one of the appointments I had with them, considering that the car was way worse sounding after they "looked at it." read more

This place is awesome! And the manager is especially great. I needed to replace my mass air flow sensor and to save money purchased it at autozone. I asked several mechanics if they could put it in for me, but they all.said they needed to run their own diagnostic first( I already paid 150 to find out the problem. Did not want to pay again) plus the labor to put it in.(A 15 min. Job) so I reached out to firestone and the manager put it in free of charge!!! Hey Yelpers. I'm having a pretty hideous day which was topped off by finding a screw wedged into my back tire on my SUV. Just bought 4 new tires 6 weeks ago and now THIS nonsense. Lucky me - I happen to have a Firestone Complete Auto Care store less than a mile away from my house. I called them and the lovely Whitney answered and said to head on over and they would help me. Upon arrival she greeted me - all masked up and Covid-19 appropriate which is always appreciated. Even though the place was JAM packed she looked at my tire right away, assessed the issue and explained my options, which ended with me choosing a new tire as the location of the screw made patching impossible. Bummer for me but fast, friendly service cheered me up a bit. Sitting in the waiting room she is so kind to all the clients coming in and out and has a lovely personality and a "don't worry, we've got you" demeanor which is comforting and calming in stressful times. And the mechanic began working on my car quickly and I'm almost out of here which is cool, especially given how busy they are. So yeah. I had a nail stuck in my tire and found out the night before I was leaving to drive to Phoenix to catch a flight. The next morning I frantically looked for places and nobody was available ASAP, open early enough or had the proper material to patch. I called Firestone and spoke to Greg who was quick to answer all of my questions and told me that the material was in stock and they could get it done in 45 minutes. I got there, waited maybe 15 minutes and it was done. Their guys are super fast and Greg the front desk employee was amazing. Super nice and seemed to really care about what was happening with my car. I booked an appointment with them for my 60k check up because of the way they handled my flat. Highly recommend! read more

I had to come here for a emergency flat tire and was met with an uncaring and rude service provider. He barely introduced himself (I think George or something?). He did not explain what he was doing to my vehicle which created a lot of confusion when I received a giant bill. First off, THEY ARE OPEN ON A SUNDAY, so right off the bat they score points in my book because common world, our cars don't know the days of the week so if shit hits the fan on a Sunday yet no mechanic is open, then we are just screwed! Firestone to the rescue! My baby (yes my car) told me it needed service, didn't know what kind of service, but I suspected it was just an oil change and Firestone confirmed it and took my car right in... However, they did not have the right filter for my car so they asked a shop near by to bring one... I definitely waited longer than I wanted but honestly I was prepared to wait and the staff were constantly updating me on my car's status. The ONLY reason why I took off a star is because the last time they gave me an update they said, "ok he's just turning off the notification that you car needs service"... However, that notification STILL POPS UP when I turn my car on. Perhaps they didn't know how to do it or maybe, MAYBE my car needs another type of service? I'll be taking it to my trusty mechanic on any other day aside from Sunday (they're closed) to see if there are other issues! read more

I am very disappointed in this location. I haven't been a regular here for a long but I've taken my car here 3 times. First 2 times were great however this last time, they tried to play me and lied. My check engine light was on so they did diagnostic. The result was an emissions code for my catalytic converter. They initially told me that they would need to look for the part as any shop would. They didn't call me about a part for about a week. When I brought it in for diagnostic they stated the estimate for part and repairs would be about 2600. When they called and stated they found a part in Canada and the cost would be $1600. They called about 5 days later and stated that they were unable to obtain the part and they will need to look elsewhere and 1600 isn't the estimate anymore. 2 days later, they call again and said they can't get a part and there is no where in the country who has the part for my car. I took my car to Atco Transmission on Saturday 3/18 and they stated the same emission code. They called me today, Monday and said they were able to locate the part. I just don't understand what Firestone was doing and what they were talking about no where in the country has the part. My boyfriend and I looked up the part on autozone and found it and it was California compliant. I feel like the guys here didn't want to bother with my car because it is a Saturn in which the parts are hard to obtain for my car because it's not being made anymore. They could've said that instead of lied and wasted 2 weeks of my time. I will still go to Firestone but never this location again. The 1st time I took my car they tried to accuse us of fraudulent payment because my boyfriend has an account with his sister and her husband. They charged her husband card on the account for my repairs and told my boyfriend he lied. Which is a dead lie because when he called them he had to give his card number which is a total different card on the account. So unprofessional. I can't speak for everyone else there but Greg is a lying sneaky dude. And he's rude. Greg was the one who made such accusations. Terrible. read more

DON'T COME HERE FOR TIRES. These people don't respect your time or care about customer service. They couldn't order the Firestone tires I wanted (discontinued) but Tire Rack could. No problem, so I had the tires delivered to this store because it was the closest store that Tire Rack delivers to. When they came in I called this Encino location and made an appointment to come in at 3pm on Saturday. I came in at 3pm and they took my information and said it will take until 4:30-5:00pm. The guy at the computer also said I should have an alignment done otherwise my car will drive "crooked" after they change the tires. I told him that my alignment was recently checked and was perfect. He argued a little more with me but eventually conceded. (I know that tires don't affect the alignment). I was there for about 45 minutes and they told me the shop was too busy and I should come back tomorrow about 2pm. On Sunday I called the store at 2pm and was told it was too late and too busy and I should come in at 10:30am on Monday and it would take until 12pm noon for the tires to be installed. I came in at 10:15am on Monday and told a new, different guy that I'm here to have my tires installed. He said ok, just leave the car and we'll get it done for you. I said how long is it going to take? (I'm single, it's my only vehicle and I'm on my way to work) He said till about 4pm. I said I'm on my way to work can you do it any faster? and he just looked at me like it was my problem or he said that's how long it takes or something like that. I told him there are half the amount of vehicles in the shop compared to Saturday why can't you get it done faster? Unfortunately I got so pissed at his could care less attitude that I started cussing. (unfortunate- I don't feel great about it) I said give me my tires then and he said since I was disrespecting him he wasn't gonna do anything about it. He wouldn't call anyone to help, nothing- Just looked at his computer. I had to go grab my tires (already paid for through Tire Rack) myself so I could take them with me and have them installed somewhere else. I asked for scissors to cut the shipping bands (each pair of tires where banded together) so I could load them into my trunk. He said he didn't have scissors, a razor blade, a knife nothing so I started cussing at him again. He said I'm a little baby and go run back to daddy. I guess he assumed I'm a rich kid (I'm 41) because I drive a 17 year old Lincoln. He also said he was gonna call the police. I told him go ahead. He seemed to take pleasure in telling me off. I was eventually able to get my tires loaded up and I left. Basically what I took from my experience here is they run their shop like a dealership service department. They expect you to leave the vehicle and don't really care how long it takes them and they want to up charge you as much as possible. If you need tires- just go somewhere that only does tires so you don't have to deal with all this BS. read more

They take forever to repair your car and they don't keep you in the loop of what's happening or what they're doing to your car. My family has an old 2001 Toyota Sienna we use as a beater when we need to transport large things and just to have a generally reliable extra car always handy. I needed some minor things which included a rear taillight. I got it serviced and had the light bulb replaced by Joshua. I came in just before they closed, but Joshua was willing to help me even though he easily could have turned me away. He was able to change out the taillight really quickly and I got the van serviced in less than 30 minutes. Joshua was so friendly and helpful and didn't try to overcharge me for things the van didn't require. I plan on defining Italy using these guys because Joshua's customer service was top notch, the service was professional and rapid and the prices were very fair. I had planned on just having the light inspected to see what it was going to take to get it fixed and return on another day. I have a new car with those automatic tire air pressure gauges. It showed all FOUR tires low on air. I had bought tires from this Firestone Auto Care place in the past, so I pulled in this morning. "Can you put air in my tires, please?" "Sure, pull over there." I did and he did. After I offered a few dollars. He refused payment, saying, "We don't charge for air." "Well, how about something for yourself as you helped me immediately?" "No thank you." I had most horrible experience ever had in last 10 years. I booked an appointment for oil change and arrived promptly 5 minutes before the appointment. I went inside the office and reached out to customer service person, he asked me to wait for few mins and he left. I was waiting for 10-15 mins and he keep coming back and forth but ignoring me so I have reached another person in the next booth. This guy asked me to wait for 5 mins and he is keep playing on his phone and computer and taking some random calls. He did not care for the customer standing in front of him. He did not even made eye contact. I was standing like a fool in front of him for 15-20 mins and pissed off and left. The interesting thing is most of the staff are doing nothing, there may be two or three customers and like 6-7 staff members, they would have easily taken care of me but yet no body came for help. I blame the management who do not train the staff in basic customer service. It's pathetic, the only reason the business would be surviving is may due to its brand. I had my lesson, I would now go with friendly neighborhood auto mechanics for any future services and they really know how to deal with customers. Firestone you lost one customer for ever !! The guy playing receptionist was SO rude and a total scammer. I had a nail in my tire I needed removed and patched up. WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING at my car the guy said in order to do that I would have to replace the entire tire and there was no such thing as "patching up a hole" oh AND they only sold tires in pairs so id actually have to purchase two.
