I have to give a huge thank you to Richard, the manager at Firestone in Upland, CA. I had some work done on my vehicle on October 10th. Last Tuesday I had a problem that was so alarming I was afraid to drive my vehicle. I immediately contacted Firestone but they were in the process of closing. I work in Los Angeles and there was no way I was going to attempt to drive the vehicle anywhere. Lucky for me I'm in a carpool and though it was my turn to drive my carpool buddy picked me up from my house and volunteered to drive until I was able to have the problem taken care of. The next morning I contacted Richard at 7:01 a.m. and explained the problem. I told him I couldn't miss work and the only option I had was having it towed to him on Friday since I was off that day. Normally when I go to Firestone I have to sign papers saying it's okay to start the work. I asked Richard if I had the vehicle towed to his shop that morning would he be able to take care of it without my being there. He said absolutely. Meanwhile I'm being tormented with thoughts of what the problem might be and me having to pay hundreds of dollars. A couple of hours later Richard phoned me and told me the vehicle had been fixed and everything thoroughly checked and I was okay to go. No cost to me. Even offered to pay my tow. Talk about steeping up. Instead of a step stool he used a ladder. My point is that whatever the problem was...instead of trying to cheat me and say it was this or it was that...Richard stepped up and corrected the problem. I don't know about other Firestones but my Firestone truly stands by their work and their promise to correct any issue that may have been related to a job they've done. Thank you Richard. GREAT service. The staff here does a great job making you feel taken care of. There are shops out there that make you feel cheated and you also end up 10 things wrong with your car when you come in with 1. They explain everything that they do and while they suggest more services, I never felt coerced into it. Definitely take your vehicle here! read more

This was my first visit to this business. The rep. was Richard, I came to get my tires checked. His customer service was great also, the staff who worked on my car was quick. I was there for about an hour once the service was complete. Richard explained in details what was the issue and provided me with a couple of quotes for tires. I will visit and recommend this store to my family and friends. read more

I love this place. I've been here a couple of times and they always treat me great. The staff here is friendly and never pressure you into doing more work on your car than you are willing to do. Of course they do make recommendations but they leave it at that. Today Michael helped me out. I came in because I had a screw in my tire. To my delight I purchased my tires from Firestone and had some sort of warranty that made the repair of this tire free. Additionally, the last time I was here they told me I was going to need new rear tires. I had told Michael that I only had a 30 minute window today so I planned on coming back next week to do that but as they were doing the job they noticed that there was another screw in one of my worn rear tires. At that point I told Michael to just switch them out now. Knowing I was on a time crunch and thinking I was screwed, Michael, Misael and Victor had the whole job knocked out in less than half hour!! It's the day before Thanksgiving, and these guys still took my car in to put new tires on after blowing a tire. Michael K has excellent customer service, he was very helpful and didn't make us feel rushed or bad for coming in 15 minutes before closing. I would highly recommend Firestone in Upland! read more

Needed new tires. Originally went to Brea for a quote (people there were kind enough to fix my flat & put my spare on for free) but decided to go here since it's closer to work. Called & the manager was able to match their quote & go out of his way to get the 4th tire I needed from another Firestone. Told them I have work until 4 and was able to accommodate me. Went on a Monday. Said it would take 45 minutes but was there only 30 minutes or so. Extremely happy & easy process. Not pushy at all or deceiving. Will return for rotation & alignment. I had a coupon for 99.95 brake job, 1 hour later they were trying to sell me a part and the whole thing was going to cost 647.50. I asked for a printout as this was a new car and this part that they said needed replacing was covered under warranty I found out after calling the dealer. They gave me the printout showing what they said was needed I did not look at it as I trusted them at this point, when I got to the dealer i went to show the invoice and realized it wasn't what i had asked for. the dealer ran a complimentary diagnostic for me and the part was fine, but I did need new brakes which is why I went there in the first place. I never write reviews but I am writing this one so other people do not get taken advantage of. read more

Had an issue with a nail - quite bummed they had to replace the tire as it was too close to the exterior wall. Had another issue and the tire was completely replaced, free of charge! I will be a customer for life because of the reputable service this Upland Firestone maintains. read more

I really like this store and its personnel. I've been going here since 1993. Well this last visit really frosted my glass. I looked on line and noticed that Firestone had a sale for a break job $89.99 after a $25.00 mail in rebate. I went to get a break job. The sales associate informed me of the special. I agreed to allow them to do the work. The shop manage came out and was going to charge me full price, $160.00. I told him about the sale and he made the corrections. But then he told me that an item that was not included in the sale was the break hardware kit. This is the stuff that holds and puts the breaks on and together. This was going to cost me $24.99. I could not believe it. Had I gone to AutoZone they would have included everything I needed for a break job for half the price. I felt that I was a victim of a bait and switch. I get the pads but have to buy extra the hardware that is needed to put it together. That is like buying a tire for $100.00 only to have Firestone charge you an extra $50.00 to put it on. (Which they do charge if you get a tire from them.) I am tired of being nickeled and dimed to death for something that was and is to be included in the service. What's next are they going to charge me the air that goes into the tire? According to the sale, I saved ONE PENNY. Boy, where can I go to spend it? 1 May 2014 Tom K. of Firestone Complete Auto Care Business Customer Service, I got your message. First, there was not misunderstanding when your sales associate explained the corporation's Break Job Special of $89.99. I went to the service center knowing the deal from what I saw on the Firestone Website. When the corporation advertises a break job, with no disclaimers about added expense such as a Break Hardware Kit, then I assume that the term "Break Job" would include any and all parts. After all, that is what is implied when the term "Break Job" is used. You are correct in that not all cars do not require a Break Hardware Kit - when you consider that these cars were built before the year 2000 or older. Tom K. you know as well as I do that it is recommended not only by the manufacturer, DOT, Department of public safety, but by common sense that any time that you replace any break on any vehicle that any and all mechanical parts involved should also be replaced as well to prevent any metal fatigue, unusual wear and tear on the breaks and break parts and system failure. This is why you know that when you get a car on the racks and the mechanic looks at the breaks a prudent man will not tell that mechanic to put the breaks back on so that that prudent man can go else where out of fear of break failure. It is for this reason, the Break Hardware Kit is included when you go to an Automotive Store when you buy new breaks. I did some checking, Pep Boys, AutoZone, Sears, Midas, Goodyear and a few other break service places. They all agree the Break Hardware Kit is included in their "break Jobs." Your coupon/ special didn't have a disclaimer stating that the Break Hardware Kit is extra. Therefore, it is misleading. Your coupon for an oil change has disclaimers. Such as synthetic oil is extra, fuel filter is extra, disposal fee is extra, and there is a limit on how many quarts of oil are used. But you have no such disclaimers for your "Break Job." What should a prudent man do - get taken by misleading advertising? I was not confused, but disappointed in the bait and switch tactic that occurred. I don't need your apology nor do I have any further questions or concerns that require your attention other than run what I have said by legal and see if I am not correct in that your corporation should have some disclaimers in it. It will prevent a law suite. Tom K. next time please take some time to think about what has been said before firing off a comment trying to soft soap my experience in the hopes of making the Firestone Corporation look good. I don't usually write reviews but service was excellent. I new what i wanted, walked into the store and asked for it. The service guy quickly went and grabbed one for me to look at, didn't try to sell me on something else and put them on my truck. Very quick I couldn't believe they finished the job so fast. Definitely will go back for the next set of tires. read more

Location is nice. Comfortable and modern interior. A/C is run and having a TV while waiting is nice. Richard is awesome. The other manager, what a piece of work. Lifetime alignment is a joke here. Wish i would have gone with an independent shop. Ended up going to other nearby Firestone locations to seek better service in the alignment department and thankfully have found one that is marginally better.. I can't speak for the rest of their services since I have no used any of them. I hate trying to be sold stuff I know that I absolutely DO NOT need. I am very mechanically inclined and have done any and all major and minor work on my own vehicle and many others. Multiple times when I have brought my truck in for alignments, I receive it back with the steering wheel off center. Tie rods aren't rocket science and neither is doing a two-wheel alignment on my toyota tundra. Tried to blame the naivety of the alignment tech(s) on my worn out suspension components after i had just completely rebuilt the suspension on the front end (LCA bushings, UCA bushings, tie rods, Upper BJ, Lower BJ, Sway Bar End links and so on). I suggest the location by the Montclair Plaza for alignments. As always, use caution. read more

Oct 2016 I brought my Nissan Titan Pro 4 to a Firestone in OC for a complete front end brake job and was very pleased with the service and pricing I received, however in November as I was driving down Mount Baldy I discovered I had very little brakes. Not going over 35 mph and having to keep the gearing low. With new brakes this should not happen !!! I immediately found The Firestone in Upland. Was greeted by cheerfully and allowed to explain my circumstances. Mind you this is on a Saturday morning and one their busiest times. Within two hours I received a phone call that my truck was ready for pickup. Upon returning to pickup my truck I spoke with Micheal, very informative, professional and pleasant. He explained that my pads needed to be replaced and upgraded without any questions asked. Finding good customer service and a co that stands behind their work is hard to find, this Firestone and Micheal bring confidence back into dealing with auto repair !! read more

BEWARE ON CHARGES! I decided to open a credit card with them and take my truck here for service since I was no longer under factory warranty. I took my truck in to have my brakes inspected. I was told that my front two brakes needed replacing right away and the back ones were half worn. They quoted me over 1000.00 to fix the front 2 brakes. During the inspection I was told that a hose was leaking under my truck which had to be replaced too. I asked how much and they quoted me 200.00. All together the printed quote I got was about 1700.00 for labor costs and all. I told the guy it seemed like a lot and made a comment like am I going to pay another 1000.00 when my back brakes go out too. I ended up calling my uncle and took my truck to his mechanic and he inspected my truck. I ended up paying 450.00 to have all 4 brakes worked on, which the cost also included the hose that needed to be replaced. This Firestone was trying to rip me off and people that don't know better would have been. I am cancelling my credit card with them and taking my business elsewhere. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I also have a copy of their quote along with the receipt I got from the mechanic I ended up taking my truck too. read more

We went here for service on a Sunday. It was the only local place that was open and we needed our battery checked. They do a free battery check, which is great. Sure enough, we needed a new battery. We also had them check our AC. I told them I suspected it needed some freon and maybe had a leaky hose. They came back and said it was in super condition...just needed the freon. I appreciated that they didn't say I needed something that I didn't actually need. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because we were there for almost 3 hours. They were busy, so it wasn't entirely their fault or anything. But we were there for an hour just for getting the battery checked and were told it would be 15 or 20 minutes. They had some toys for the kids and basic satellite channels. The waiting area was clean and air conditioned. The customer care man was super friendly. I would definitely go back. read more

I had purchased tires from this place about 8 months ago. It came time for me to get my tires rotated and they do this for free since I purchased the tires through them. They had a special going where they would look at your brakes for free so I had them go ahead and do that. The guy came back about a half hour later and told me that my brake pads had 3mm of wear left on them and that they recommend to replace them along with readjusting the rear brakes, that my tires were wearing badly and that I needed an alignment, to flush the brake fluid and that I had a nail in my tire. I thought all of this was suspicious so I called another local shop which told me a cheaper price to plug the nail hole. While they were plugging the nail hole and had the tire off I asked if they could tell me if I needed new brakes. The guy measured it and told me there was 5mm of wear left and that my front brakes would be good for another 10 to 15k miles depending on how I drive them. They also said my tires showed no indication of wearing funny so an alignment was not needed. The only thing they recommended was to flush my brake fluid but they said this could be done when I get new brake pads. The bill at Firestone was $539.30 for work that I didn't need except to flush my brake fluid which isn't a huge deal. I will never go back to this place again. I hope this helps. read more
