First off, I had to leave it overnight because they were super busy. Totally fine and understandable EXCEPT I DIDN'T DROP IT OFF WITH A FLAT TIRE which is how they had it waiting for me when I went to pick it up today! The vehicle didn't pass the inspection with some supposedly costly repairs, BUT that was no reason to 1. blame the nail in the tire on me and 2. leave my glove box ransacked and its contents strewn about my car. An overall horrible horrible experience and I would absolutely warn everyone against this location. AVOID! read more

I called this location to schedule an appointment for a State Inspection, No answer. I went on the website and scheduled it only to get a phone call saying they Do Not accept appointments for State Inspection. I asked what time they opened and was told 7am. I was at the front door at 650 am. Third person in line with only one other person getting an inspection..... ..... Dropped my car off 7:30am for 3 services inspection, car care, and oil change. Was told it'd be ready in the afternoon, never heard from them all day. Go back around 4:30pm to find my car sitting in the same spot. Was told no one was there to do inspections. I guess since that couldn't be done it was decided not to do anything to my car, so no services were rendered. Was told I could leave it there or bring it back another day. Never called, never said anything just let my car sit there all day while others were serviced, been going to this place for 6yrs never had any issues but the unprofessionalism is too much. I went to this location for the first time this morning because the other Firestone at Kemp's River told me at 7:20 am, that I had to leave my car for a state inspection and it should be done sometime tomorrow. I arrived and the young lady behind the counter was very accommodating after I explained that I was there for an inspection and possibly new tires. My vehicle was pulled inside for the inspection within 15 minutes. They came and advise me that yes, the vehicle did need new tires to pass inspection. I picked out the set of tires, and roughly an hour later the installation was complete and I was on my way home. The staff at this location was very nice and completed both the inspection and installing the new tires in a very timely matter. I caught a flat tire coming off of Indian River road. I called Brian to see if they could fix my tire. Didnt know it was going to take 2 hours for the tow truck to get to me, to take me less than 2 miles. Brian was able to fit me in before closing that night. They had a hard time because they didn't have the thingy to fit my lug nuts. But they made it work. I have been driving smoothly every since. The customer care was AWESOMESAUCE. read more

Take your car in For an inspection and it sits there all day. You can even ask for specific things and they still push it back to the end of the day. Needed actual work done and refused to do it because an inspection is attached to it. By far the worst service imaginable once you attach a "mandatory" state inspection to your list of items to accomplish. Update: Took the car in the next day, work was completed satisfactory. They inspection system needs to change as I was the first customer needing an inspection that day. I was the second customer in line when the door opened. read more

This Firestone is the worst, but I go to them because they are close and it's the most convenient place to go!!! I have dealt with them for over 10 yrs. and I have yet to see them not being busy. This is way before the Covid pandemic. I want one simple tire put on, that they yet again said they are busy until next week. I called on Monday to have them repair work that another firestone did incorrectly. They told me to drop the car off on Wednesday and they would look at it first thing Thursday. Thursday came and went, Friday came still no call so I called at 7:30 to find out the status. That is when the really rude woman tells me they are short staffed she is the only one working and they don't have anyone in to do a diagnosis test, they should have someone in on Saturday to do it. I asked her is it normal practice to not work on a car for 2 days and not call the owner. She again got rude stating she was the only one working and too busy to make calls. And it will be worked on Saturday. Guess what....it's Saturday and someone called after 6:30 to say they couldn't get to the car today and it will be looked at on Sunday. They can not say that they will be able to work on it, only look at it. read more

Avoid Firestone Tires on Military and Providence Road. I went in for 4 tires and requested to keep the old ones. After a few hours the mechanic calls and tells me that my oil needs to be changed and replaced with high mileage oil because my truck has over 200k miles. Wrong. The motor has been replaced and only has 35k miles. He then tells me that the transmission fluid needs to be replaced. Wrong. My husband is a retired mechanic and maintain the fluids regularly. He then tells me that it's leaning to the left but the alignment is fine. He can fix it for $100. The bottom line is that they trashed my old tires, I had to add a quart of oil bc it was lower now, the radiator fluid was filled to the top causing the truck to overheat and the cap had been messed with. read more

We ran into some pre-existing complications when getting my car aligned that led to me not being able leave the shop like I had initially planned. They were not only willing to work around the issue but they got my alignment done quickly so I could get to work. They could have easily turned my car away but they didn't and I seriously appreciate the time and effort they put into getting my back on the road. I will be back!!!!!! Beware of firestone practices! They solicited a credit application out of my 16 year old. They asked him questions like how much do your parents make. My child is clearly under age and every business should be required to ask if the applicant is at least 18 years of age. Now my child has a denial of credit on his credit report. Find a more honest business is my recommendation. read more

I arrived here on May 5th for a wheel balance, and for my front left tire stem to be replaced since it was losing pressure. I inflated all 4 tires to 35psi (Ford recommends 30-40 for my truck) about 10 minutes before I left for my appointment. Now I was aware about the uneven wear the tires had on the ends since they were never balanced. After they got done, they recommended me to get 4 brand new tires ($900), a Virginia state inspection (The truck is registered in North Carolina with a NC title), coolant exchange (It looked old, but still functional), and my front right valve stem to be replaced. I declined the other work since everything else was fine. So I paid, drove it home, and when I checked the tire pressure they were all at 35psi except the front right. It was at 15psi and had lost 20psi after I drove it home. I figured they were checking the pressure and forgot to put air in it, so I did it myself. It lasted for a week then my TPMS light came on. It lost 15psi of pressure so I was a bit suspicious. Also within that week, my truck had overheated 3-4 times and left me on the side of the road. The coolant had some sort of brown dirt inside hat was clogging up the lines. Now I never had this issue before so I brought it in today for the manager to look at it and explain to her what was going on. I told her everything that happened so she scheduled me to bring it back in today. Upon inspection, it was discovered that dirt was inside my coolant tank, and the reason why my tire was leaking is because there was a nail in it that looked brand new. Even though they said it was the valve stem. She went ahead and told me the work would be free and that it would be looked into. They patched my tire, and fixed the coolant issue with new coolant. I'm usually not the type of person to leave a bad review and give people a hard time, but I expect honesty. All I wanted was for the tire issue to be addressed, and for the dirt to be removed from the coolant. I didn't care about it being replaced. They went ahead and installed a new stem, patched the tire, and gave me new coolant for the trouble. I've been going to firestone for all my tire needs for the past 5 years and never had an issue. But just like everywhere else just be careful who/where you go to. They went above and beyond to correct the issue and in a timely manner. If you discover an issue that wasn't there before don't be scared to bring it up. They will make it right. And with that, I'm happy! Good job to the management team and honest mechanics for making this right. read more

They did a great job. I had a flat tire... Due to other circumstances I didn't have an appointment today so they didn't have the tire that I needed. They looked it up in the system and found the budget version of the tire so I could just get going quickly without being gouged for the highest priced tire they could get on my car. After talking for a bit we decided to get a longer lasting tire that they'd have to go pick up. And the whole job still just took a couple hours. I do feel like they tried to upsell services a bit when I was telling them what I wanted, but that's par for the course at car places. They did NOT pull the common "oh by the way we found this this and this that you need fixed" that all car places seem to do so that was nice. I recommend and I'll be back. read more

Had an awesome experience particularly at this location . I bought my car in to get serviced they were interested in my concern right away and they were very willing and friendly . Brandon in particular is who took care of my concerns at the counter with his great customer service . Brandon had very good communication on updating me on the status on my car . Services was done on my car in a great amount of time , around 2 hours . They offered a great deal And I got the life time alignment special as to where I get free alignments for a 1 time fee of $170 for as long as I own the same car . I though that was pretty neat . My husbands car was not turning on. The lights and navigation were working but the engine wasn't turning over. I did some research and told my husband to jump the car. It worked and got him back home. He immediately took it to Firestone (a company he thought to be reputable) but when they told us what they would have to do, it did not sound right to me. They told us the alternator was overcharging the battery and shorting the battery. Both will have to be replaced and because it is in an unusual place the AC will have to be drained and the manifold will have to be taken a part. Then when put back together the AC will have to be refilled. Oh and the back tires need to be replaced. With military discount the price was still $1100(for alternator/battery and service). I told my husband to get his car. I called up RK Chevy a company I have used many times before, found some coupons for battery replacement and they gave us an estimate for a little over $700 (alternator/battery and service) without the coupons and or military discount. When we picked it up from Firestone they said they'd be willing to match the price without even asking for the paperwork from the other place. We took the car to RK Chevy and they ran the tests over again and found the battery was the only thing that needed to be replaced. The car was otherwise in great shape. The cost is only $140. I feel like Firestone was trying to take my husbands money. I will tell everyone I know never to go there because they are thieves. read more
