So I got my tires here many moons back and it's a place I trust even though I don't know a single person nor know for a fact that they do good work. It's just faith. I dunno if it is worth buying the lifetime wheel alignment via Firestone because I've only gone twice in the 4 years I've had my car. I tried making a reservations online last night but today was unavailable. I just figured I'd wing it since I had something going on in the early afternoon. I arrived at 9am and was told another appointment was ahead of me and that it would take an hour. At 9:20 that alignment spot was still vacant so I asked the manager what is their grace period for no shows, shortly after that my car was being serviced. I figured if I just sat their and said nothing I'd still be sitting their. Plus I had an appointment. All in all this place does did their job and I was on my way. read more

I brought my Acura in to repair a tire which was repaired at the Firestone location in Walnut but was still leaking. I left my car so I could get my tires rotated and repair the leak. Two hours later I received a call from Ernesto saying my tire that my leaking tire could not be repaired and there were nails in two other tires and only one could be repaired. Since I had road hazard protection they offered to give me credit of around $62.00 per tire and with all the added extras I was looking at another additional amount of money and a up charges of another $201.00! I advised Ernesto this didn't sound like any deal when I knew I could get brand new tires at $119.00 each at America's Tire and told him to prepare my car for pick up. Firestone Tire centers is always trying to up sale additional services that are supposedly needed. On the last visit they said I needed a timing belt at 90k miles and the factory said it's not necessary until 120k miles. That's bullshit, also when I called for quotes at various locations on the same tires I would constantly get prices with large price differences. I think these technicians are on commission or have to meet quotas! I advised Ernesto that I'm done with Firestone and they have lost a customer. It's sad that every time I would go to Firestone I felt I was getting screwed over in some way. Life's to short for this. read more

Don't go here! Avoid at all costs. We had a flat tire and they just glanced at the tire, saying immediately that they couldn't fix it, and that we had to buy a new tire, quoting a price of $275 for one. They didn't even take out the (very) small piece of metal that punctured the tire to see if it really was irreparable. Such scammers! If you value your vehicle and ONLY want to deal with auto repair shops with honesty and integrity, DO NOT take your vehicle to Firestone in Whittier. Years ago, I began to purchase lifetime alignment and wheel balancing and rotation for every vehicle I had, so I've used Firestone for years. I've never had any issues with their service until recently. On June 8, I took my car in to be aligned and the tires to be rotated and balanced. Upon "completion" of the service, I picked up my vehicle and I was told the services had been rendered and there were no other concerns. However, I noticed my vehicle did not ask me to recalibrate my wheels (this is something, the vehicle's computer requests after the wheels have been removed and replaced, or the air pressure has changed). A week later my front brakes began to grind, a sign my brake pads had worn down. Every time Firestone works on my car, they will advise me of parts that need to be changed, especially brakes (an opportunity to sell me another product) . This is another indicator they never removed my tires and balanced and rotated them. I changed my brakes myself after I noticed they were grinding only to find that one of my tires had no weights on it and the others had so much old brake dust and was obvious the tires had not been balanced. I called to complain and they asked me bring my car back to rectify the situation and to change my oil. I did and this time they told me my front driver side tire had to be replaced because a screwdriver had been lodged on the inside tire wall and could not be repaired. I refused the replacement tire and I was told to pick up the car in 30 minutes as they needed that time to get the car ready. I just happened to be down the street, so I went in less than five minutes later and the car was already sitting out in the parking lot, and had not moved recently. I took the car over to a local tire shop and he inspected each of the four tires and none of them had any punctures. Again, Firestone in Whittier is unethical in their business practices. read more

I called the day before to ask for a set of tires & asked for 2 brands being told they're in stock. I arrive to my 10AM appointment & am told it will be an hour. Then I am told they don't have those tires in stock but had another one. An hour and a half later I ask if they are almost done as it's past the time I was told. They responded that they haven't even started working on my car yet as they need to go to the warehouse to get it. 2 hours later they get back with the tires and then realize they don't have the engine filter either & need to go back to the same warehouse a second time to get that too. I was told it's "not their fault that they don't keep an accurate store inventory". Furthermore the tire I was supposed to be getting instead of the one I asked for was supposed to be $69 each, not $109 each. Also I was told it is a 65k mile warranty and the paper they gave me after I paid says 50k warranty. At no point in any of their screwups did they have the common decency to let me know what was going on or ask if I wanted to wait. I drove out here because I was impressed with the service when I initially had come here, but today reality hit and it was as if it was a bait and switch type of service. My father and I came here and were immediately treated with rude and horrible service. This horrible individual saw us with drinking cups and stated "We don't have trash cans!" This man-woman is a poor example of an employee and exemplified how much she hates customers and her job. We asked how much it would take for an alignment and she stated rudely it would be 3hrs! we would have waited but honestly the look on her face was that of disgust. On my most recent visit I decided it would be my last! I purchased my lifetime alignment service three years ago and I've been regretting it since. I went to this Firestone on 03/29/2017 at 3:00pm to get an alignment because my 2008 Scion tC was pulling to the left on city streets. I left and came back at 5:55pm to pick up my vehicle. The guy behind the desk gave me a sheet that said no symptoms so I asked for the printout of the before and after results but he stuttered in telling me he did not have the paper. I told him I wanted it so he told me he's not sure if the printer works but he said he was sure the technicians worked on the car because he personally them working on it. I told him to try and print it out so he walked into the work area and came back to tell me the printer ran out of paper. That paper is the proof of the work done so I told the man I would be back the next day to pick up the results sheet. He said the paper would be immediately printed out once they inserted the new ink. While driving home I noticed my tC still pulled to the right! I went back on 03/30/2017 at 3:22pm and I had my car go to the front of wait list because I called before going to complain about my car still pulling to the right. I immediately asked for my printout but I didn't get it because the guy at the desk told me the computer couldn't print the sheet because the service was done yesterday. The alignment service was finished at 4:34pm and adjustments had to be made and this time I did receive a before and after results sheet. Since adjustments had to be made on 03/30/2017 it's safe to assume the service was not done properly or at all on 03/29/2017. I called Firestone corporate same day to complain and was not contacted by the service manager in the 24hr timeframe Firestone corporate told me. I called Firestone corporate again on 04/05/2017 to notify them no one from Firestone Whittier called me so the lady on the phone told me my complaint would be forwarded to the District Manager and I would be called by him within 24hrs. I received a call from Firestone Whittier on 04/05/2017 and a call from the Firestone District Manager literally a few minutes after. When I talked to the Service Manager he of course apologized for the inconvenience of having to go a second time to get a service that should've been done. I told him I no longer want to be a Firestone customer because of the deceit from his employees and I felt this was good reason to receive a refund for my lifetime alignment service but he didn't feel it was. He told me he wouldn't give me a refund because I bought it three years ago but he would me give me a free oil change for my inconvenience. I told him it was not enough because I did not trust Firestone with my car anymore. I called the District that day but since he didn't answer I called him back the next day and my call went straight to voicemail so I waited a few days to call back. When he finally answered he already forgot about me so I had to remind him of my experience and just like the Service Manager he didn't feel it was a good reason to receive a refund but he offered a free oil change at a different location. I wont go back to that Firestone or drive to a different Firestone. To think a free oil change is sufficient for the lies and inconvenience of going again is ridiculous. read more

BEWARE THIS PLACE STEALS PARTS!!! 2 yrs ago i use to be a loyal customer for firestone. I had lifetime alignment in my vehicle and one day i took it in because it was steering to one side. They gave it back with a different air filter i had a K&N air filter and they swapped it out with a cheap $3 dollar air filter never again. ON JAN 1, 2020 my dad took his car to get aligned and when they gave it back some lady in the front told him that his car couldn't be aligned because his car did not have shims. The lady tried to cover her part by saying that she would only charge my dad $20 to put new ones but to not tell her manager. She also did not want to put that in the report of the alignment. They are scammers. We went back and they try to cover there backs, by acting like they don't know each other and what they have done. NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

After my tire inspection , they removed a nail, repaired the leak and saved me a bundle of money all as a courtesy at no charge. In the event that the tire had to be replaced, they were willing to do a price match. Monica Becerra's customer service skill level, patience and politeness was outstanding! Anthony the tech was also careful not to scratch my expensive black wheels while doing the repair keeping it professional during the tire inspection from the inside for possible damage. I will return in the future for my next set of tires and highly recommend Firestone complete auto care to my friends and family members. I took my Mini Cooper to get some parts replaced. I went on a Saturday. Monica, the front desk staff, told me they would need a day to get everything done. I had the option of returning it the next day early in the morning. Monica then said she would have it ready by 12pm. It was 12:30 when I got the call and said they couldn't replace the parts because mini requires a special key to replace them. Why didn't they tell me this before I handed them my keys. I'm sure I'm not the first customer to have this problem. Why don't they order the 'special key' in that case? As soon as they see a foreign car drive they should let the customer know as soon as possible, not four hours, if they can perform the job or not. Came in today to get an oil change and asked about a tune up as well. Being late and near closing time I thought they would turn me away. I was surprised when they were able to perform all of the services I wanted on my Yukon and didn't have to wait such a long time. they were prompt in getting to work on my truck and having it completed in a quick rime. I was on the road again within 2 hours. I have had work done here before and the price has been reasonable and they have always treated me with respect and courtesy. That kid (I say that cause he's younger than me) went above and beyond to get my alignment taken care of. He assisted in adjusting my front end suspension by modifying pieces that I never would have been able to do without a full machine shop. I took my company vehicle this Sunday morning around 10 am to do the front brakes, there were a few customers ahead of me, so I decide to leave it and comeback in the afternoon when it is ready., 3:30 pm no call from firestone so I called and they told me that it was next on line after 5 and half hours when they close at 5. So I went back to pick it up cause obviously is not going to get done and the front counter lady apologized to me and told me that they got too much work., I respond back saying that it was BS cause they took care other customer after me . I work for a big corporation and I will email the fleet department of my company tomorrow Monday morning complaining about Firestone auto care and I will going to encourage them to terminate their business with them. This is the second time that I have had trouble at this location. Unnecessary recommendations. First time, there is a screw in my tire, they said they could not fix my tire. I go to the tire shop and he pulls out the screw that is less than an inch long and said no charge have a good day. Today... went in for an alignment and balance(warranty)The guy sold me the care check up for $9.99. Then he calls me telling me that I need to get my belt replaced... they didn't even look at it because it's less than 3 months old, the the wiper, I replaced those in February. Waist of my money. Save yourself the time, take your car elsewhere. I bought a new battery here and had it installed. Easy. Maybe paid a little more than I would expect but hey I'm willing to pay extra for certain things. Fast forward to 1 month later, car dies and won't hold a charge even with a jump. Great. Well it's a good thing I paid for that warranty. Towed it back to this place first thing in the morning and asked them to check out the terminal connectors since the battery is brand new. I return at the end of the day, they say that everything regarding the battery and connections is fine but my car will have to return later in the week for further diagnostics (another fee) and the problem seems to be fuel related (more $$$). What? But I towed it here? Can it stay overnight? Oh there is a fee for that! Something didn't seem right to me so I ended up towing my car to a different place down the street on my next day off. They had my car diagnosed and running within 2 HOURS of dropping it off. Amazing! What was the problem? The terminal connection was bad. Moral of the story: Find a shop that is fair and reliable, this is NOT that shop. read more

In September 2011, and in need of brakes for my car, I was given an estimate of between $500 & $600 for a front end brake service ( I don't remember the specific amount and no longer possess the paperwork). I decided to leave my car, a 2004 Mercedes Benz, at this location and have the front brakes replaced. A few hours later I received a phone call informing me that the rotors on my car were not standard and would require a special order from the MBZ dealer. Additionally, the cost would now be $700 as a result. I ok'd the additional charge and the work was finished. Fast forward to May 2013 and the reason for this review. After experiencing severe pulsation ( the steering wheel would shake violently when braking ), I take my car to the local MBZ dealer to address the problem. I'm informed by the service tech that the reason for the severe pulsation is that the rotors which were replaced by Firestone, are after market rotors ( not made by MBZ ) and are the wrong size for my car! Firestone put on rotors that were too small and as a result the brakes have worn in such a way that a lip has developed on the brake pads, causing severe pulsation when stepping on the brakes. So not only did they use the wrong size parts, the service advisor, Enrique, lied and said they were using rotors purchased from MBZ. It has cost me $1100 to get the brakes replaced at the dealer and sufficed to say I will NEVER be returning to this Firestone location, or any other for that matter. One star only because you can't leave zero! Stay away from this shop!!! read more

It is because of Sally at Firestone. I have gone to her since she was the manager at the Firestone in La Habra. The quality and service decreased significantly after she left. I found her in the Whittier store. I have gone with her for almost 5 years. My girlfriend has also gone to her. She gives you a fair price, definitely not the lowest but she is honest. I can't say that for everyone at the store but I would definitely recommend her and find out when she is working. I just took my mom's Prius in today and they took care of it very quickly, less time than I had expected although I did have an appointment that morning. read more

Super happy with my visit here. It was my first time and I had a bolt in my tire this morning and it was completely flat. I had AAA fill it and drove it to PepBoys to find out they don't "patch" tires, just plug them.. and their plug wasn't big enough for the hole.. so stupid. So I came to Firestone and they fixed it up in less than 30 min. Plus.. it was less than $20! Thank you, FIRESTONE!! I'll be coming back here from here on out! read more

This place is terrible. I have lifetime alignment on my 2006 scion xb,and I've taken it to them a few times to have it done. Every time I've had it done they quote me a time when it should be done and every time it has taken them at the least 2 hours longer than the time they quoted. Their response to me once, was i should have let them know that i was in a hurry, so they could have done it sooner. The other time they said technician went to lunch in the middle of doing it,and when i asked why didn't they let me know it was going to take longer, because i was sitting 5 feet away from the front desk in their sight, their response was, that the technician probably thought he could get it done in time. This place deserves zero stars. I went in on a Wednesday to have my brakes checked, they weren't able to see me and made me and appt for the following day at 4. I show up at 4 on Thursday and they tell me it's going to be and hour n a half wait for just and inspection. I went in to get my tire checked for defects on a car that I bought brand new and the tire ruptured on the freeway without any type of road hazard. Under the manufacturer warranty if there was a problem it would be covered through them; this was a toyo tire. The guy at the front desk looked at me like he didn't know what a manufacturer warranty was. When I showed him the paperwork/pamphlet he had to take it in back to ask his manager about it. He came back and said we had to call Toyo to file a claim. Even though the paperwork says the opposite. I called Toyo and was told they should take care of everything and that there was no need for me to contact them.
