No one wants to have to use this kind of service. But when you need this service it is nice to have someone who is so talented and so honest that you don't have to feel like you're getting "insult to injury" I had an unfortunate accident with my band new BMW. I did not have plates yet. I had of course gone to a dealership, to a specialty "high end" repair place, and to one of those chain repair places. After waiting around I received very vague answers and a potentially massive bill from all 3. After a couple days of this, I made one last call to First Class and had the incredible luck of speaking with Dave. It was 5:30 and he answered the phone. Instead of the answering machine and run around he was engaging and asked me about the nature of the incident. He asked me to take some photos. None of the other places did that. He said NO problem. The other places wanted to schedule an appt where they look at it with intense consternation and go inside and make you sit around. The theatrics are ridiculous. They will of course help you but it's gonna cost you. PLEASE! Dave has been at this for decades. He does not have franchise fees or crazy crazy rent. He has a nice facility that does SUPERIOR work with techs that have been at it and with him for a long time. That in itself says a lot. What you get is the best workmanship in the business at a very reasonable cost and a comfort level that you haven't been taken for a ride. Don't wast your time with the franchises and specialty paces. Just the hassle is costly. GO HERE and get the best work done! read more

Fantastic! I did not think I would actually enjoy getting my car fixed but the team here made that happen. I enthusiastically recommend them to everyone. I brought my car in to be fixed from wind damage. It was a relatively minor repairs so I didn't want to claim it on my insurance. They told me they could repair it 80% of the way for the bid they gave me. It was dramatically less than the other bids I had received. When I went to get the car, I would say they repaired it 99% of the way! They also went above and beyond with cleaning my car which was embarrassingly dirty when I dropped it off. I'm usually very timid about taking my car in for any kind of service but I have to say they went above and beyond. The woman that hit my car ironically works for Progressive. Progressive attempted to only approve after market parts for my 2013 Subaru Crosstrek. First Class Auto not only communicated this to me but they fought the insurance company to get the correct parts. I picked up my car yesterday and it looks like new. The best service I have ever experienced. I was rear ended and had spent a few days reading reviews and landed on these guys. I called and spoke with Fernando, and he asked when it it would be convenient for me to bring it. I brought my Xterra in on a Wednesday and by Friday it was ready to be picked up. They replaced my rear bumper assembly and detailed the vehicle as if it were on a dealers lot. Fernando and mechanic Wayne even rode along with me to pinpoint the cause of a rattle with my tailgate, which they fixed free of charge. This is the best body shop in all of the Phoenix area bar bar none. The owner Dave is a stand-up person who has assembled the best office staff and auto body technicians in Arizona. I met Dave when I was a Navy recruiter in Scottsdale. When it was time to fix up my truck from years of abuse and neglect I knew where to take it without hesitation. My truck had a ton of scratches (Arizona penstriping). Even when it was clean the black pearl paint looked gray and horrible. I also had a dented front bumper from hitting a rock out in the desert. I will just say that when it was done it looked better than new. People come up to me and tell me that I have a nice truck. I had someone ask how much I paid for my truck and they were blown away when I told them it was a 2009. I thank Dave and his team for everything they did for me! I couldn't be happier. read more

I chose this place based on the yelp reviews. I unfortunately had a bad experience with my window tinting as they bring in a 3rd party to complete the job. Poor communication after calling several times and was overcharged. Was charged for removal of tint when factory tint is not removable. My advice when planning to get windows tinted, is speak directly with the person or business completing the job. Needless to say it was a disappointing experience. read more

Do not use this business, they are thriving on vulnerable people and their insurance companies. Ive been to this place twice now. 1st time was about 2 years ago. I had a truck in for repair. Took way too long and they were mostly rude during the brief encounters I had with their staff. 2nd time was recently. I came back because they come highly recommended by Whiteys auto repair with which I have been a customer of for 17 years. On my 2nd visit i brought my car in for repairs after an accident. The insurance company decided to total my car and proceeded to tell me that 1st class was charging $1100 for 10 days of storage and that I would have to pay for it. $1100 just because they didn't fix the car? I imagine if the car was repaired by them that I wouldn't have a bill for the repair and the storage. Regardless, it is appalling what they are doing to people. They assured me everything would be covered by my insurance company. I took their word for it when i signed their document. When i heard about the charge I called 1st class and again the guy was rude and said 'The Insurance Company already paid, so what do you care. They covered everything." I respectfully reminded him that they passed that bill onto me and I was paying it asking him if they would refund the money or work something out with me. He replied with "nope" and basically hung up the phone. About 3 days later I called back and anonymously asked what the storage fee would be if I brought my car in for an estimate and my insurance company decided to total the vehicle. They said it would be no fee. read more

I've been living here for a little more than a year now and I have already used First Class Autobody multiple times. As soon as I pull up they already remember who I am. They can thank Yelp and the horrible drivers out there in AZ for my business. When I first moved here I needed to get my windows tinted because I had to park outside for work. I looked around on Yelp and didn't find a place that specialized in window tinting that I felt comfortable going to. I came across this place and at that time, they only had 1 review. I noticed that they were a family owned shop and the owners were from the Midwest. Being from Chicago, I prefer to choose Midwesterners since they're generally honest and reliable. Hey, it worked out for me this time! I stopped by after work one day and asked if they did window tintings. There are special requirements in every state and I inquired about the IL rules in case I ever moved back. Wally did some research for me since he wasn't sure and then showed me a few examples of different levels of window tints from cars that were outside. Window tints are actually outsourced to a local company but he assured me that they did a great job and quoted me a very fair price. The turn around time was very quick and to this day, the tints are still in great condition. The second time I visited Wally was when a drunk driver hit me from behind. My bumper was completely smashed in so I automatically took it here. When working with insurance companies they usually have a preferred list of places they want you to do business with but I was set on using Wally because I knew they did quality work and the other places had horrible reviews. He helped me work with their insurance company and was able to get my car fixed in no time. The third time, a coworker ran into my car while backing out so of course I took my car here again. At this rate, I'm going to have a brand new car paid for by the wonderful people of Scottsdale! His insurance company insisted I used a Geico body shop and provided me with a free car rental, so I had to go there. Luckily, they did a great job as well. The shop is always busy with a ton of cars and customers. However, they always manage to squeeze me in without any problem and the turn around time is always very quick. Super friendly, honest, and fair. Moral of the story: go see Wally if you need a reliable autobody place! If you need a mechanic, go next door to Whitey's. read more

Went in for a quote to get a fender installed and painted. RIGHT WHEN MEETING ME the very first thing he did was look at the business badge that i was wearing and then proceeded as I was in business wear. The guy i then spoke with then told me how I won't need to get just the wonder piece painted but need to paint and fade half of my hood, windshield support, passenger door, and mirror; reason being is because "it's not possible to match my paint" when it's for a stock silver 2011 subaru legacy. I have taken other cars for paint/damage repair in the past and this has never been the case. On top of that I then noted that my sister works for subaru corporate and already have an OEM wheel well protector, skid plate, and the pins to keep it in place. Immediately after that he kept asking if I needed certain things done to it which would then add onto the pricing. Next thing you know he quotes me out at $260 TO INSTALL 2 THINGS I ALREADY OWNED. THESE TWO THINGS GOT QUOTED AT AN ACTUAL SUBARU DEALER FOR INSTALLATION FOR $200. When I told him that subaru quoted me out much cheaper than that, he IMMEDIATELY dropped the price $60 saying he "miswrote somethings on the quote that he didn't mean to". Seriously man, stop kidding yourself. ***Spare yourself and your wallet. Go elsewhere.*** read more

We went to the shop and received a quote for window tinting. We also saw some examples on what other car window tint in the parking lot. We dropped off our car on Thursday before closing. It was done with a car wash next day (Friday around 2pm). Very friendly and helpful place. I was referred to these guys by the tow truck driver that was scheduled to take my car to another place, basically telling me this place is THE body shop in the valley. I was skeptical at first, but after I dropped my vehicle, every person I came in contact with had nothing but praises about this place. After getting my car back I can clearly see why this place is so highly regarded. My car was in a wreck (not at fault) with only 10,000 miles on it.
