Man, I hate writing this review. I purchased my Optima here in 2013 and I have returned here for all of my servicing since (save the occasional oil change), but this visit was NOT good! My A/C stopped blowing to half of my car; the driver's half! So, having purchased the extended 100,000 mi./10 yr warranty, I figured this would be the place to go. Not so. First, my service advisor told me that my warranty had expired! Knowing I spent an extra $1400 on the upsell, that rattled me, but I remained calm until I had time to check my own records. I left the car to have the problem checked out, never having approved any charges for the diagnosis. I returned home and found my records and i was right; I bought the warranty. Then I hear from the service advisor; yes, she said, you do have the extended warranty... but this is a hose and it doesn't cover hoses. The repair would be $580. I tell her I'll have to shop around since it's not covered. She says fine and tells me I owe them $130 for the diagnosis. I tell her I approved no such thing and after some back and forth, the charge is waived. Ultimately, I found a local independent mechanic who did the job for $350, including recharging the freon. At the same time, I asked Kia to look at my brakes and rotors. I had just purchased new tires and an alignment and the car still had some shimmying when braking at higher speeds. The tire shop told me the problem was the rotors, but to hold off on getting them done because I still had plenty of brake pad and that I should get both jobs done at once. Not surprisingly, Kia told me I needed new brakes. First Kia, you used to be a reliably honest shop. Maybe it's time to re-examine your operation. read more

I came here for oil change, a recall fix, as well as a complete check for my car. It was around 25K miles, and I only done oil changes for it prior to that, so it was due for a check of all its components. Oil change and recall fix were completed. However, it turned out the mechanics only did a simple quick check (fluids, tire pressure, air filter and such - something I can do myself). So now I still have to go through the proper checks procedures again... Also their garage is very open, which lets all the dirt and debris blown inside while they worked on my car (i saw that on my dashcam footage). Definitely not recommending their service department. I would go to a different Kia dealer, who pays more attention and cares more for their work. read more

I look for honesty and quality service. Kia posts vehicles on auto trader (as many others do) then upon referencing the stock # for the advertised vehicle, refuses to honor their advertised price. Needed to do my normal car maintenance so I called for price quotes to compare between several different dealerships. Person on the phone quoted me the cheapest price compared to others (cheaper than Santa Clarita, Van Nuys, and Glendale). However, he was pretty darn condescending, and was giving me attitude because I was asking him for clarification on services provided and cost. Salesman Mark Brody couldn't have been any nicer! He answered all of my questions about the 2019 Kia Sorento. We went on a test drive and he showed me all the features about the car. It was a no pressure and very professional experience. All though this vehicle won't work for me because I need something a tad bit bigger, I highly recommend giving Mark at First Kia a call to look at any of what Kia has to offer. They have a fantastic lineup of cars to choose from. Something sporty or something for the family? They have a lot to look at. Honestly one of the worst dealer experiences I've probably ever had. I'm not one to write a negative review but this entire experience just was horrible. We show up to view a used vehicle on their lot and they start very pushy like any regular car lot. No big deal. Once we decide on a vehicle and want to start the process we go to sit down and work out a price. After all the numbers and information is in we wait for the finance department and not 10-15 min, but we waited 47 min just to sit down with the finance department. Was never told prior that it would delay, they just kept saying 10 more minutes. Until finally they come and say oh it'll be another 30 min, after we've already been waiting almost 30 min. Okay so we wait. We process paperwork and finalize everything. Automatically as soon as it's done they drive me off the lot to the local gas station because the tank was on empty. When I try to go inside the gas station I try to lock the car with the key fob they gave me to find out it didn't even work. On the advertisement it said keyless entry and remote start. Vehicle didn't have either feature upon purchase because the key fob didn't work. I go back to the dealer and ask hoping it just a dead battery. They open the remote and I see it's empty inside. No chip no board of any sort. Just a piece of plastic that looks like a key fob. Upset I say this is not what I purchased, your advertisement said keyless entry and remote start. The sales rep and demeanor and attitude was I don't care. He went to respond, we gave you a good deal on the car, you can just go get a another key fob. I stood their in shock like are you serious? I asked again this is not what you advertised. He said well it's no big deal you can just get another one or come back another day and we can give you a discount on programming one. A discount? That's not what you advertised. At this point I'm upset. Spent over an hour waiting to get seen to finalize paperwork( side note: it was only us and 2-3 other customer at the lot during our time there) and when it's done they tell me just go get another key fob that I'll have to pay for it. Unfortunately since the vehicle had already driven off the lot it was no longer their problem and now mine. Very unprofessional and would not recommend this place ever again. read more

We have gone here multiple times for our two Kia's for service. Customer service was terrible. Drove up and got out and no one comes out to help you, it's like you aren't even there. Took one of Kia's due to air conditioner issue. They said we needed to replace the air conditioner due to leaking for approximately $800. Took it to a car air conditioning repair place and it only needed to be refilled. Nothing leaking. 3 months later and still working great. Not impressed with Simi Valley location. Have switched to Ventura now and very pleased. read more

I'm in there over an hour, looking at a staff that's classic 1970 con man car dealers--straight out of a Tarantino movie while classic rock blasts and their women's bathroom looks like it belongs in a mechanic shop. He comes back to me with a deal over $450 a month. How these people sleep at night is beyond me. Before me was an elderly couple and I can't imagine what ploys they used to take advantage of them. I recently had my 2014 Kia Optima serviced for a manufacturer recall and needed a diagnosis for the air conditioner not blowing cold air. I was told that the compressor was not functioning at an optimal percentage and the recommendation was to have the part replaced. I was provided a quote which included their standard fee for the diagnosis of the problem minus the tax on parts. I decided to proceed with the repair. However, upon arriving to pick up my vehicle, I was told that there was an error with the original quote and the labor was not factored into the final price. I was obviously not thrilled about this and Oscar Robles was kind enough to right the situation and provided me a reasonable solution to the error. Oscar was very thorough and professional throughout the whole ordeal and made me feel as though he was doing everything he could to make me happy. 1st KIA dealership service manager refused to take my car in for warranty service. It happened with the worst case possible, like never experienced such rude, unprofessional customer service. The service manager said to take it back to the dealership you bought it from!!! It was my first trip there for service, and guaranty to be the last. I felt like I was in another country!!! This is unheard of. What an awful experience. This must be dealt with. I will post everywhere, and will file a complaint.
