Taking Our Business Elsewhere! For years, when we lived in Lincoln, NE and the San Francisco Bay Area, we always took our cars to the KIA dealership because of the excellent customer service we received. Since we've moved to Ventura County we have yet to find a KIA dealership in the area that provides the same excellent service we had grown accustomed too! Our most recent and greatest disappointment was when First KIA of Simi Valley over priced us by approximately $3,000 for a repair after they found out we were in the market for a new car. Not only were we over-priced they also stated we required unnecessary repairs. We can only assume that this was a sales ploy to get us to purchase vs. fix our current vehicle. Luckily, we have a good friend (who works for a well renowned dealership) take a look at our car and fix the necessary repairs at a fraction of the cost. Thankfully, there are honest mechanics out there and dealerships that go that extra mile because they care about customer service and customer loyalty! Next time we have an issue we are contemplating about trying the KIA dealership in Santa Clarita or even L.A. even though will cost us over an hour in driving time! Hopefully, they'll be able to restore our trust in KIA! read more

My Optima was making a loud klunking noise coming from the steering column. I took it to a nearby mechanic he wanted $1000 to fix it. He suggested checking to see if it was covered under warranty. I had a very positive experience with First Kia service in the past. Greg Thoma, the service manager is great. This time Brian Keelan took care of me. He was very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. He had estimated 4-5 hours to complete diagnostics and repair. My car was ready for pick up in two hours and was completely covered under warranty. Although there are Kias closer to my house, I will continue to use First Kia for my service needs. read more

A few months ago I purchased a certified pre-owned KIA. The entire process was smooth and painless. The salesman Sid Kahn was phenomenal and patient. Even though this was during the pandemic they went out of their way to make sure my experience was pleasant from start to finish. Had a great experience at 1st Kia! Josh Vafee took us on a Kia Sportage test drive, the second of five cars I drove that day. He pointed out all the features and answered all my questions, without any pressure when I left. As Josh predicted, I loved the Sportage and when I was ready to make a deal the next day, he was fair and honest. It was refreshing to deal with a straightforward salesperson. I left with a beautiful new car and feel really good about the deal we made. Oh, and when I realized I had left an important item in my trade-in, I texted Josh on his day off and he made sure I got it back within minutes. I bought a vehicle from this establishment in December of 2017 and I was promised a rebate within 7-10 business days of buying the vehicle. It's been a month and i still have no rebate. I've had to call several times to get updates and the Sales Manager, Gary, is either not available and when he is, rather than talking to me directly he has another employee do the talking for him. I am starting to believe I won't be getting this rebate because i keep getting the run around. I finally had the chance to talk to Gary today and he told me that First Kia doesn't fund the rebates and that they don't know when I'll get my money because "they have to wait for KIA to fund them". This would have been great to know prior to purchasing the vehicle. Instead, I was told by their Finance guy, Henry, that I would get a check in the mail within 7-10 business days after purchasing the vehicle. I am very disappointed in the customer service at First Kia since my experience in the past with the other First Auto Groups has been nothing but positive. Getting laughed at when I'm upset by a member of the sales team is unacceptable and definitely not appreciated. Take your business somewhere else and if you decide to come here anyway, be careful. If the car you are interested in has an advertised rebate, make sure you get it that same day because you probably won't ever see it if you wait "to get it in the mail within 7-10 business days." read more

First Kia of Simi Valley has absolutely surpassed our expectations. Our salesman Mark Brody, provided us with excellent customer service and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We got a good deal on our trade-in, which was more than every other dealer we visited (including Carmax). The down payment was VERY reasonable and the monthly payments were totally affordable. We are a family of 5 and brought with us our two young girls. They gave them colorings books, snacks and drinks to keep them from getting bored. Mark was very friendly and did not make us feel pressured or rushed. He knew we fell in love with the Sorento and did not try to veer us away into purchasing a different make/model. The whole process was quick and easy. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to lease/purchase a car. We drove to Simi Valley from Downey and it was well worth it. I take my Telluride there for regular maintenance services, but if there's a warranty item or recall that needs to be fixed, they always take care of it. They are super friendly and efficient. This review is for sales. I called and inquired about a used vehicle they had for sale. Came in the following day which I drove 2 hours to see this vehicle in person. I had every intention on purchasing the vehicle as I was not about to drive far to look at this vehicle and not go home with it. I was greeted by Cameron in sales. He was an awesome guy. Wish I had got his name, but my mother and I left right away because he made us feel like we're attacking him with one reasonable question "you have any cars without add ons?" We left fleeing from the sales man who was not very nice to begin with but was otherwise pushing us to leave. We left to Ventura Kirby and eventually bought a car there. I am very disappointed with the staff here as they show no care to your vehicle but the most important part of this review is that I feel scammed by this dealership and it's service center. I recently took mySoul to the Valencia service center for another inspection because it was the only dealership/service center near me with the earliest time slot to inspect my vehicle. The service center in Valencia takes video of your vehicle and points out the good and bad parts shown by the vehicle in the inspection and okie of the parts shown was the cabin air filter which was extremely dirty , almost as if it had never been changed. I am upset by this because just a couple of months ago I took my vehicle into the Simi Kia service center for an oil change and requested to replace my cabin air filter and I was charged for it and was even told that it was changed when it obviously wasn't. read more
