Their pistachio-raspberry cinnamon roll and dirty chai latte and house-made syrups are so good, all five stars! But their pumpkin latte scone and empanadas were more four, and the activist-vibe is a little much, though I love the outdoor and back-room seating. Wouldn't come back but glad to try it.

First Village Coffee was a very nice visit. The shop has cool wall art, a quick/ artistic/hard working staff, and a much appreciated and well lit rear sitting area, which is where we sat. Even the restroom has cool wall art. The owner of the shop was dressed in a colorful and fancy hat. He had a great disposition and helped create many beverages...with a smile. If you're looking for more than coffee, you'll find muffins, sweets, and even oatmeal. Their coffee was amazing and were served in impressive mugs. The rear sitting area was relaxing and had large tables. I recommend this very busy coffee shop and enjoy your beverage and/or sweets.

Finally got a chance to get to this fine establishment. So happy I made it to this chic cool fun coffee house. Everyone is so pleasant and happy to work. Great seating area in rear of store Ordered a bunch of different things to eat there and bring home One thing better then the next. Had to try there croissant omg it was soooo crusty light and perfect. One best I ever had Also tried the mushroom cheese quiche wow so fresh and light. Blue berry muffin so moist inside and crusty outside perfect. Thank God this place isn't close to home I may end up 600 pounds. What a hidden gem. Please fine time to make it to this place there's no better bakery around Coffee to die for. Latte are perfect. Regular coffee so smooth and robust.

What a great little place! Excellent quality coffee which is a must that isn't always delivered. Well, First Village pulls it off. Exceptionally well. The food is also yummy. I got a pumpkin cranberry muffin. It was moist and had an excellent flavor. Crisp crumb on top. Moist cake underneath. The service was excellent. Friendly and efficient. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The decor and ambiance are inviting with a cool vibe. Relaxed and unpretentious. Really nice plants. It was a terribly rainy day and First Village was the perfect spot to rest and refresh.

Having just relocated to the area, First Village Coffee is the community hub I have been seeking. Often walking into a coffee shop for the first time can feel daunting, but I received a genuinely warm welcome (and farewell) from multiple staff members, which immediately made we feel like staying for a while. I noticed how the owner engaged with regulars and newcomers with equal interest and regard, which was a pleasant change from places that choose not to focus on building relationships with their clientele. The cro-muffin was delicious, soft in the middle with a crunch from the crystallized sugar on the outside, and my rose-cardamom latte was hand-delivered with care. Thank you for supporting this tired mom in her self care needs!

This was a great find for the area. A great cup of coffee, took the parents and sat in the back to chat. My mother has said this was the best vegan muffin she'd ever ha, and I tend to agree. Just super rich and well constructed. Definitely a chill vibe and a good place to unwind.

Looking for a quick drink and eat ahead of a little Croton tour and First Village satisfied! Cute little cafe, busy but no wait, street presence, all the right ingredients! Can vouch the "compost cookie" is that to a T - chocolate, fruit, nuts, whole grain, the whole package with the right texture and sweetness. This place not only has top-notch coffee drinks, but a bakery that makes amazing, creative and tasty options like croissants, danishes, quiches and empanadas fresh, daily. FVC is one of only a few elite, locally owned coffee shops in Westchester. People come from far around... and I live down the street! So lucky! read more

BEST COFFEE IN WESTCHESTER ! The coffee and lattes are literally to die for. They are so creamy and delicious not too sweet. They have a bunch of homemade flavors to choose from and they are all SO yummy. The food is also amazing. Their tofu empanada is one of the best things I've ever eaten and I'm not a vegetarian. I went here for coffee with my friend. We had the chicken and beef empanadas, which were really good but could have used a little hot sauce. We also had cappuccinos, chai late and a corto. We ended with a lingonberry turnover and almond chocolate croissant for dessert. Really cute place, staff is wonderful and so nice. If your are in the area you really must stop on by. read more

Definition of a macchiato. Not some milky, caramel laden suckabucks creation. This is an expertly pulled shot of espresso with a nice crema topped with a dollop of milk foam. Luis, Kathryn, Alejandro, and Leah are all skilled baristas whose love and respect for coffee is only surpassed by their care for their customers. Run a coffee shop as a communal hub like them and you will reap the success. read more

Omg what a great place! First off, it was the best iced latte I've ever had (so good that I ordered another to go on the way out). I had my ten-month-old with me, and the owner was so welcoming and kind! It's kind of stressful sometimes being out and about with a baby who is on the move, but I felt 100% comfortable here with my son. I no longer live in the area but would go out of my way to make a trip back! Such a great addition to the town. read more

This is the place if you're craving the best, flakiest croissant in Westchester. Not the flabby, flakeless croissants of bakeries and grocery stores, but the real thing, like they've just popped out of an oven in Switzerland. I was told they're made using a traditional multi-day process that results in that crispy, airy exterior and a soft, buttery inside. And if you get there early -- around 7:15 in the morning -- these addictive croissants are just coming out of the oven. Bliss. I've been on the hunt for the perfect croissant in this county and at First Village, this is it. read more

Best coffee place in Tarrytown/Briarcliff/Croton area. Baristas are super nice and I like the changing art works on display. They use great coffee beans from renowned coffee roasters and have different tasty food items as well. The customer crowd is diverse, good looking and intelligent, so the place feels like XXI century America at its best. Still gulping the instant coffee for breakfast? The baked are really good, and they've got a n impressive selection. The service is equally good. The downside is the coffee. The drip that's already made is on the sour side; the whole milk latte had a weird taste, to the extent that we couldn't drink much of it. Bad day? Maybe. read more

Do not eat here if you have food allergies/intolerances! I had a serious allergic reaction due to one of their baked goods being mislabeled. The staff was not helpful when I expressed this to them, and the employee I spoke to did not seem to understand the urgency of accurately labeling food items for the safety of customers with serious allergies. read more

This place and the owner was amazing. I accidentally came in right as they were closing and they allowed me to sit down with my kids. He even helped me calm down an unruly toddler. Finally some fancy but unpretentious coffee in Ossining :) Great ambiance, wonderful owners, and excellent carefully prepared coffee/tea/drinks. They also serve some really tasty vegan snacks. As you enter First Village Coffee you are welcomed by a magnificent setting, the interior design is perfect. Its an excellent place for an excellent cup of coffee the best i ever had if you ask me. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese, which was made with a fresh cooked egg, which you do not often find these days, with just the right amount of bacon and cheese stuffed in one of their beautifully flakey fresh baked croissants. I will be craving this sandwich for some time to come! My fiancé's everything sourdough bagel was everything a bread lover loves about a bagel and sourdough. It was so flavorful she hesitated putting cream cheese on it. The coffee they serve is from Atomic Coffee Roasters, which never disappoints. It's smooth, flavorful, and for folks that are sensitive to acidic things that trigger heartburn (me...) you will not have an issue. I always drink my coffee black but I'm sure I'd be just as good with stuff in it. All in all, if you are in the area and like bread, pastries, or a good cup of coffee, you should make sure you stop in. FYI, most navigation apps will direct you to the front of the building, but swing around to the back and you will find a parking lot with spacious parking and the entrance to their shop.

In fairness to them, English speaking bakeries do it too but in English. The staff speak some English making it a bit difficult to find out what it is or if you have allergies whether or not to avoid it. The staff is friendly. The prices are standard bakery prices. I had the conejo and Berlin crema which are the exact same thing but different presentation. I had the erizo which you need a fork to eat. I did not know that and it is like trying to eat chocolate cake with your hands (if you did not get the fork). The most memorable part was a male staffer that really did not want to work and wanted everyone to know it. He spent his time kissing his girlfriend, talking to her, and letting her touch his chest. I know he worked there because he went behind the counter when they were done but she stayed to talk to him over the counter.

This is my go to coffee stop every morning! It's exactly what Ossining needed! Not only is the coffee amazing every single time, but I always look forward to all of the amazing treats they have. They carry Baked by Susan treats, along with these amazing empanadas, croissants, oatmeal, cupcakes, vegan brownies, etc. They have an amazing selection. I don't ever have to go to Starbucks again when this neighborhood cafe has it all. Cool vibe, beautiful local art, local treats, and great coffee! Hands down, the BEST coffee - not just in Ossining, but the Hudson Valley! Nice ambiance, art, and everyone is friendly. They make my cappuccino just the way I like it, and I'm a snob. It's also great that they have plenty of parking right across from their front door, so I know I don't have to circle around looking for a spot (which means my dose of coffee makes it down the hatch that much quicker!). read more
