First he did tile work and gave us a quote for 3800 then behind my back changed the quote and got another 2000 extra out of my mother that I didn't even know, then we decided to hire him to install hardwood floors because he said he does it all the time, gave us a quote for 7300 and then did two days of sanding and came back and said it will be now almost 10k because he has to level and I decided to get estimates from other people and they all said all that is no necessary and the work he did was pointless, and my mother went ahead and paid him a 2000 dollar down payment and we unfortunately had to go elsewhere and now he says he only owes us 300 back out of the 2k and charged us for paying his employees and renting a sander(idk which hardwood flooring installer has to rent a sander then throw the price at you later) we agreed to pay him the 550 for the sanding in the quote and he said no it's now 1700 for all this stuff he decided to add on, also the people installing now got almost all the way done and have to stop because he didn't measure right. He came by our house 3 times to take measurements!! now the installers have to stop and have us order more while all our furniture is in the living room and my mother is without a room, on top of all this heartache I'm 6 months pregnant! Unfortunately we had a really rough experience working with him on a flooring project in one of our rental condos. It was an insurance claim so we weren't looking for the cheapest contractor, we were looking to hire someone reliable and professional who does good work. Dominic didn't show up on the day we'd scheduled, he sold himself as a crew but was a one man operation, he kept finding new "issues" that he somehow missed in his initial inspection and bid, he repeatedly asked for money before the job was done, he would get frustrated and rude when we'd ask reasonable questions, and then he ghosted us with the job less than half complete. I'm not sure what's going on with him but I would avoid them and find someone else for your flooring project.

While Rydawell is good at cabinetry (they get 1 star for that), their foray into building out…read morecamper vans (i.e. Sprinter) has resulted in an extremely poor experience for me on the mechanical and quality elements. Not only did the build out take forever (7 months), but since picking up my van on my first/second use, I have had roof leaks because they didn't install the "C" gaskets right for the AC unit, I experienced multiple leaks in the pressurized plumbing system (see pictures below) which caused wood damage to the cabinetry due to poor PEX seals, I still have no relief from the misbehaving (and Rydawell recommended) Ecoflow electrical system, I discovered they failed to insulate the sliding door, they actually plumbed the gray water lines into the BOTTOM of the gray water tank using the same penetration point as the drain (this caused water to back up into the shower pan when using the sinks (not to mention it would fail completely in freezing weather) and I discovered that the Rixen heating system was installed against manufacturer recommendations (to name just some of the issues). This has caused me thousands of dollars to get repaired (so far) at another (competent) van builder. While his hourly rate may seem cheaper, it takes him much longer to accomplish work items. As an example, his quote to install a 2nd battery (which he was supposed to have left room for) was twice as long as I was able to get it done elsewhere by professional van builders.

The project took about 14 days and a bit of a wait to get the shower door installed which had to be custom ordered because the shower has a non standard configuration.
