First time at this location which was not a good experience.... unsure if it was a fluke or often like this. We checked in and were told it would be about 45 minutes. 45 mins come & go. Go in to check.... there are 5 parties ahead of us still waiting to be seated. Well over an hour goes by. Go in again to check, "the kitchen is backed up". Left & went to Hop Doddy next door instead. Almost finished eating by the time the text is received stating our table was ready I would NOT recommend going there UNLESS you get there SUPER early!!! read more

I generally like other locations of First Watch but this one is so disorganized and chaotic when it comes to the waitlist. Normally, you can join the waitlist online to avoid waiting a long time at the restaurant but the online waitlist means nothing at this location. We showed up to check in and we're told it was an additional 20 minute wait. 20 minutes later - I ask where we are on the list and was told it was an additional 20 minute wait. 40 minutes later - it's still an additional 20 minute wait - really? I like the food here but the service and wait make it not worth it. I won't be back here again. Don't bother. Walk over to the Grove. We finally got a text 2 hours later and halfway through our meal at the Grove that First Watch is ready for our order. Ridiculous. read more

I'd like to leave NO stars. I have always loved coming here and have left 5 star reviews in the past. You FAIL today and I recommend you review your customer service instruction book. Very few patrons. We were seated within a minute. That was the end. We sat for 15 minutes in our booth. No one looked at us. No one smiled at us. No one said 'it'll be just a minute'. Instead we watched at least 5 wait staff ignore us. No other staff members noticed we had not been served. As we walked out the host was at his podium. I asked for the manager whom I was told was 'in the back' but he did ask what was wrong. He was told then we said never mind the manager we are leaving. I haven't seen this type of poor service in a long time. BTW we went to IHOP at Lakeline. Never had better service, nor better food. They get the 5 stars. read more

I arrived during business hours and they've closed early stating that they didn't have customers. It's hard to drive to a place and trust I'll get the coffee I wanted if they randomly change hours of business without notice. It's a rough experience. The food has high quality ingredients but they're unlikely to prepare it in a way that's hot and tasty so I mostly just drink the coffee. Update: Came in for coffee and they told me the kitchen is closed. I'm kinda blown away by this place. Why not change business hours to 2pm to accurately reflect hours? read more

We took a drive to get this this joint on a recommendation from my girlfriend's co-worker. We got there to about a 30 minute wait around 1030 (no complaints there, it's a breakfast joint for cryin out loud) Once we were sat and ordered it took about 20 minutes to get our food. My skillet was super good, the order didn't say anything about tomatoes (which are dirty water pockets) BUT they grilled them to perfection and I was happy they were there. I would 100% come back. Decided to try this for the first time and had a so so experience. We actually had no wait and our waitress was friendly, prompt and helpful with menu suggestions. Now the bad...the pitcher of water brought to us had gunk floated around in it. We brought it to her attention and she apologized and brought us another...also had floaties in it. I think due to the shapes of the bottle they probably don't clean well going through the dishwasher. Now onto the food, my sandwich and salad had a GREAT flavor. I really enjoyed it. My husband ordered a breakfast bowl and again we were disappointed in his food. His avocado was brown and he had grapes on the side that were rotting. The potatoes were burned and didn't have a good flavor. He was kind of grossed out and it's a bummer to pay for food like that. This is in a great location, however, once the Hop Doddy's next to it opens parking is going to be a nightmare. It's already kinda bad if you don't get here before 10 am. Speaking of business, for this location in particular I highly recommend downloading the first watch app and checking in online. There's almost always a long wait otherwise without much seating room inside to do such. It'll be a life saver for you. The inside is nicely done decor wise. But the aesthetics make this location particularly loud which makes holding a conversation a little difficult at times Food is good, never had anything I didn't care for. This location is nice in the fact you can get an adult beverage with your breakfast, but they're on the pricey side about $8 for a mimosa. 3 Stars instead of 4 because of spotty service. Hoping that since this is still a fairly new location, they can work out these issues. If you're in a rush to eat, this is not the place to do it at. read more

Very excited to have a new breakfast spot in Cedar Park! My wife grew up in Florida, and used to eat at First Watch all the time, so you can imagine her excitement when this location opened! The decor inside is a farmhouse theme and it's so very homey! We both had the Bacado Omelette, with a side order of the Floridian French toast (to share) and it was delicious. Just the right amount of food to make you full. The staff was very friendly and our waitress was great. Looking forward to eating here again! Wish I could give it a 2.5 but a two will do. Anyways- I got the smoked salmon and roasted vegetable frittata, wayyy to many chuncks of onion. There must've been at least 1/2 a cup, the only roasted vegetable in it was tomato's and they were heavily salted, the salmon was good but definitely not smoked. They put a dry spinach mix on the side- no dressing just plain. My boyfriend got the waffle and a side of bacon + sausage. He said the waffle was OK, a bit sweeter than he would've liked. We were fortunate to try them out for their first friends and family day! They did not disappoint! I've only been to the location on Lakeline so walking in to this location was amazing. So much natural lighting, felt open and beautiful. We learned that the other Austin locations are corporate owned and this location in Cedar Park is part of their franchise group. They are the first location, (in Austin at least) to have a bar as well. I'm all about coming back to try the cereal milk drink (adult iced coffee) or their bloody mary! Both sound amazing!! We tried the Kale Tonic and Morning Meditation juice. Both were delicious and refreshing. I thought I wouldn't like the Morning Meditation because of the beet but it was actually my favorite one. We shared a plate of the Million Dollar Bacon to start with. You HAVE to do this anytime you go. My husband ordered the Eggs Benedict and I ordered my favorite the chickichanga and my kids ordered the French Toast. Great presentation, everything tasted so good and they are all big portions. You won't leave hungry. Overall, the staff was great and knowing this was their first day serving real customers there is grace to be had. The only mistake in service was my kids (11 and 13 so not little kids) had both ordered off the adult menu and were expecting the Floridian French Toast. So it was a little disappointing when they brought out the regular french toast, even after she came back to confirm their order. The waitress offered to fix it but we were hungry and we certainly won't complain at this kind of event. They still thought just the regular stacked French toast tasted good. We will just have to come back another time to try the Floridian one. And I want to give the Lemon ricotta pancakes a try!! If you go in their first weeks give the staff some grace as they are new and don't be rushed. Cedar Park is so lucky to get another great tasting restaurant in our area!! read more

Management should seat down at a table to see what the real temperature is. It's much colder seating down than running around, and who do you really want to be comfortable. This morning it had to be in the sixties in here. HVAC system obviously still set to low (incorrectly set) from yesterdays high exterior temps. Good rule of thumb during cooling season is no more than 15 degrees inside than outside differential. Unfortunately my memory of this breakfast will be how fast my food got cold. read more

I have eaten a number of items on the menu and today was in the mood for something new. This meal may just be my new favorite. We didn't even get to the food part because the hostess stand is a mess. We checked in 30 min before we got to the restaurant and still waited another 30 min. We were in line and every time someone would ask a question the customer would walk away and the two working the host stand would talk crap about the customer walking away in front of the whole line. Then we got sat and never had a a server come up to us. As we were leaving I asked the two hosts if they even told the server we were sat, they did not. Open tables everywhere and a full patio waiting. A tragedy for such a beautiful restaurant. Ive been in the industry for 10+ years worst I've seen. I was excited to see First Watch open in cedar park!! It's nice to have something new other than fast food. The wait was about 40 minutes and another 20 for the food. The staff was very friendly. We saw our server twice throughout the service, to bring get our order & to bring our food. I feel she should've checked on us a little more since we did want to order some drinks but ended up just staying with the water & coffee. The restaurant itself was very clean and had a southern feeling to it, making you feel right at home. It's very loud inside just from everyone in talking. The food was super tasty & everything tasted fresh! The ham really dry, maybe left on the lab for too long, it was hard to cut through & I really loved the preserves that come with the pancakes! Our waitress Sung was amazing! Very attentive and helpful and moreover she was patient and kind and is the only reason my experience was bearable. As far as everything else, I was not impressed with their service. The host first said that there would be a wait to be seated, as I looked around the restaurant and saw that it was mostly empty, I alerted this to him and then all of a sudden we could be seated right away. Then when he was in the middle of seating our party, he stopped and started cashing people out as we stood there. I probably will never come back to this location ever again. We arrived at the time waited on waitlist (110 minutes) only to be told they are closing in an hour and there are too many Door Dash orders that take precedence over us that had waited and arrived in person. Drove all the way to Cedar Park for the patio at this First Watch and I'm pretty sure we'll never go back to the other locations much closer to our home in Austin. I checked in for a table online, it said 30-45 minutes. We arrived about 40 minutes later and a patio table was waiting for us at 11:30 on a Sunday, talk about ideal! The restaurant itself was busier/more crowded than I would prefer at this stage in the pandemic but we only went inside to pay and felt fairly safe on our first post vaccine brunch. The food was SO fresh and delicious. The parking lot was pretty full, I assume because it's shared with Hopdoddy but we did find a spot a bit away. All in all, a very positive experience. read more
