I called the store to ask for a real wait time since the on line wait list stated it was a 1-2 hour wait.( that's what is says every weekend I check since the new store opened) the girl on the phone process to tell me that she is not a hostess and does not know what the wait time is and I'll just have to wait to see when I get there! I then asked her if she could go check and she processed to tell me no, i can't check im not a hostess. I understand people get busy and there are things that can't be done, so then don't answer the phone if you don't have time. I have heard talk about First Watch, so I gave it a go this past Sunday. The prices on the menu was average. So I been craving for a egg Benedict for sometime but no place seem to cook it right. I took a chance on ordering it, Well, just as I thought, it was hard as a hard boil egg. What a let down! So I had asked to change the egg to scramble egg and that too wasn't scrambled. It was more like chopped sunny side. At this point, I was hungry and I just ate it, wondering how a Benedict would have tasted with the chopped bacon and the focaccia bread. Lol comon Chef, at least get my scrambled egg right. So if your wanting an egg benedict, don't bother ordering it. Stick with basic scramble egg, bacon, and toast. Overall, waitress was just ok, never apologize for the bad order. Don't expect to much out of this place. It pretty normal to me, I'm not overly static. First watch is my go to brunch spot! Their giant pancakes are delicious. They make my favorite blueberry muffins (super stuffed with blueberries!) Everything is made fresh. And they make great regular coffee. I haven't had a bad experience here ever and I've been dozens of times and will continue to come back! read more

I do NOT recommend. At least not when BREE is working. The worker, BREE literally stole part of my order for herself. Prompting me to request a refund. I sat and watched her stoop down eat her order of bacon at the register and then when another order came out she hid it under the register. When my to go order came out it was missing bacon. The cook came out and explained how 2 orders of bacon was made and BREE quickly moved the bag she had hidden. When she was asked what is that...she replied "oh that's just my food". Pretty sure she didn't pay for 2 orders of bacon. Off to a slow start, didn't get drinks for a bit, don't know who our server is. Manager sure got his breakfast tho. After he stood in another diners way for at least a minute. Seems like they would have trained at another location before opening? Coffee is bitter, perhaps burnt? The server we ended up with was phenomenal! We weren't in her section at all but she stepped up and took good care of us. Management needs to step his game. Food was really good, especially the fresh preserves! I understand it was a busy Saturday morning at 9:45 but the hostess harped on the over hour wait - but pushed Sitting at the bar. it was as if she wasn't willing to even put our name down for a wait. went to the bar, (which was dirty) and we had to slide in. Two bar tenders behind the bar. Nobody even acknowledged us. We sat there as they continued to do the very difficult task of opening water bottles and never even looked up. we finally just got up and left. Our waitress here was absolutely horrible, while the food was good I will never come back because of the waitress we had. I don't know her name but she had short brown hair and tattoos. If I was her manager I would be completely appalled by her behavior. This was the first and last time at First Watch. I would recommend the bacon and potatoes but that's it. The other items we ordered had no flavor plus the eggs were extremely undercooked (runny whites). The breakfast sandwich had 1/2 piece of bacon on it and the brioche bread could have been toasted. Again no flavor. I doubt the adult beverages we ordered had any vodka. The drinks are all premade and after watching the bartender (?) make them we knew why. I had eaten at the VB location and loved it. So I was over the moon when I heard they were opening a location in Chesapeake. I ate breakfast with my good friend today at the new location. They have only been open a week so some misses were expected, however, they executed perfectly on everything. They also offer a wait list which reduces the waiting time. If I could give 0 stars I would. The service her was quite possibly the worst I have ever experienced. Hostess greeted warmly and directed me to a seat at the bar. This was the only positive interaction I had. I then sat for almost 15 minutes before the bartender even acknowledged my existence and she then cleaned off some dishes next to me and wiped down the bar leaving it soaking wet in-front of me and proceeded to ignore me again for the next 5 minutes, didn't hand me a menu, didn't say give me a minute, nothing. Finally she hands me a menu, literally sets one glass down and immediately asked me if I'm ready. "Uh no, you just handed me a menu". So I review the menu, wait another ten minutes and finally place my order. Classic eggs Benedict, and point to it on the menu. She puts my order in and I wait another almost 30 minutes for my food. So at this point I've been here an hour, I'm already frustrated with service and then a plate of Salmon Eggs Benedict is set in front of me. I try to get the bartender's attention and finally do and tell her my order is wrong that I ordered the classic Benedict, and she proceeds to argue with me. Irritated I get her to acknowledge that the classic Benedict I ordered is with Canadian bacon not salmon, but at this point I don't feel like waiting yet another 30 minutes for them to make the correct dish. The food looked like it would have been amazing and had I not been throughly frustrated I likely would have just eaten the salmon Benedict. However with things stacking up it was just the last straw and I left. I will likely never go back to this location, and I don't recommend anyone eat here. Service and food are both absolutely STELLAR!! Especially considering the busy Saturday afternoon. I will say though seeing the sex offender from Rock Church waltz in with his wife and sit a few seats down from us kinda put a damper on the lunch. Shouldn't he be in court getting sentenced instead of getting brunch? The good mood picked back up after I believe they felt unwelcome and left shortly after arriving. This restuarant is constantly busy so we expected spectacular and got mediocre at best. Staff was pleasant but service was bad. Food was not great. It was dropped by a staff member who did not even pause to see if we needed anything else to go with our french toast like butter or syrup. After a ten minute wait with our meals in front of us, we finally found our waitress and almost had to tackle her to get her to stop! At getting the needed items, our meal was ice cold. I couldn't help but notice they were a different skin color than us. I can't believe the service I received today. We sat at the bar for the first time today and the bar top was a little wet and dirty from a previous customer so after we got our drinks I asked if the bar top can be wiped down. To where the server handed ME the wrap and said it was to wipe down the bar top with. I've never had that before. The food took over 45 mins to get and they first brought out my fiancés plate and I thought mine was soon to follow (thinking it was weird they didn't come out together) we were handed the check and that's when I said I did not receive my meal. While this happened a family tried to also sit at the bar and it had not be cleaned up from the previous guest that left 15 mins ago. So they were sitting in front of dirty eaten off plates. When we went to the front to pay the girl did not ask how everything was, which is when i was going to say something.
