    Steak & steak & Hash
    Queen B.

First time at this particular location... love the energy and vibe from the moment I walked in. I was greeted instantly and seat right after. Jennifer was our waitress and her service was absolutely spectacular. I was celebrating with my sister and ordered the closest thing to steak and eggs... which just happed to be the Steak & Hash.! I asked for the potatoes to be super crispy, eggs scrambled soft and a medium rare steak. Jennifer advised that I cannot order the steak to the temp of my choosing because, this dish does not come with a whole steak. This dish comes with cut up steak pieces. She requested for them to be cooked light. This dish also doesn't come with eggs. I ordered it on the side. Overall this dish was very pleasing to the eye but my darn potatoes were COLD... I was breaking all the rules and ordered carbs after my intense workout just to be heavily disappointed with cold taters lol... the fish looks amazing but this goes to show you that looks can be deceiving. The eggs were cooked to perfection.. not just anyone can scramble eggs soft. So the kitchen does get a point or two for that. The steak pieces are very small and thin my sliced.. not much flavor but at least they weren't chewy. Overall I did not eat my dish. I just packed up the entire plate and enjoyed two glasses of champagne with grapefruit juice. My guest ordered a dish called the chicken chimichangas or chickichangas. I believe and she devoured it!!! I didn't get a picked but it looked like a chicken omelet with hollandaise on top and some fresh fruit! Overall I am eating this place a 3 only because my service was excellent, the restaurant was clean and had ample parking.. the bathroom was clean and I just happened to be in great company. Side note. They do not sell regular size bottles of champagne. Here. You can order champagne or mimosa and they sell small individual bottles of Barefoot Prosecco I believe.

I hit up First Watch in Chesapeake before heading out to do some errands and it hit the spot. The staff is always friendly, give great recommendations if you are having a difficult time deciding and parking is a breeze with ample spots in their lot, or the garage caddy corner to them. Décor is like hipster modern meets the farmhouse which goes with their farm-to-table theme. On this visit I got my favorite the Chickichanga. An omelet like dish filled with chicken, chorizo, avocado, chilies, and cheese. Served with a side of home fries this will stick with you for a day of shopping or work.

First Watch is such a delicious breakfast spot and definitely worth checking out. There was a pretty long wait when we arrived, but the staff handled it really well--they communicated clearly, took my phone number, and kept us updated so we knew exactly when we'd be seated, which made the wait much more manageable. The food was absolutely worth it, fresh and flavorful all around. As a bonus, there was a really cool local vendor market happening next door, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable while we waited. I'll definitely be coming back.

The blueberry lemon cornbread is such a delicious treat to share at the able! It's warm , flavorful, and loaded with butter. I also got the pesto chicken power bowl. It was packed with quinoa, protein and the pesto was on point. I love all of their juices. Place is nice and organized. Staff is top notch! I love First Watch!

    Market hash with maple bacon

This was my first time at First Watch. My husband and I came here with two of our friends. We each enjoyed our meals and our server was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Collectively, we ordered the Market Hash dish with a side of maple bacon, pancake with a side of eggs, the Chickichanga, the Quinoa Breakfast Power Bowl, and Morning Meditation drinks. The only con of this experience is when I went to the bathroom and walked out of the bathroom. The women's bathroom had large puddles of water on the floor from one stall and it looked like there was smeared geese poop on the floor of the other stall. Then, when I walked out of the bathroom I immediately slipped and fell. There was an employee there who saw me fall and asked me if I was okay but didn't offer any assistance with helping me off the floor. As I was getting up my husband realized I had fallen and ran over to help me up and make sure I was okay. At first I thought I had slipped because of all the water on my shoes from the bathroom floor, but then my husband said the staff had just mopped the floor outside the bathroom before I fell, and there was another customer who fell by the entrance after they mopped just a few minutes before I fell. This happened as they were preparing to close, and I get that they were trying to clean up before leaving but wet floor signs being posted and prompt cleaning of puddles would have been helpful. Update: Customer care reached out to me immediately after seeing my review and arranged a call with me to apologize for the experience I had, ask if I was okay, and offered to send gift cards if I was interested in giving First Watch restaurants another try. I would try other First Watch locations, and I really appreciate the caring outreach made by the customer care team. I was sent gift cards, a First Watch cookbook, an oven mitt and a handwritten card by customer care, which was very thoughtful and speaks to the level of care and seriousness the company places on customers having a good experience with the company. I'm looking forward to trying First Watch again at other locations!

I came here with my family and honestly this place was amazing. Even though they were super busy the restaurant was clean we were seated quickly and the customer service was excellent. My family even ordered an omelet for me since I was running late. When I asked my mom which one it was she said she forgot but it was still really good. Overall, we had a great experience and I'll definitely be coming back.

I saw First Watch had lemon blueberry cornbread on their menu. I never had that flavor before. The lemon was the whip on the cornbread. I ordered the protein breakfast which contain Italian sausage, mushrooms, kale, quinoa, cheese, and over easy egg. The meal was delicious. I will be back for the cornbread and trying another meal. The service was fast and the restaurant was busy. There was music. Paying for my food was a new experience, I paid on my phone, there was another option you can choose.

We were recommended to try this place so it was a bit of a wait considering it's the day after christmas. But it's a nice place with friendly service. the coffee was very good, but i wish they had some options like lattes. anyway everyone enjoyed their meals and the portions were generous. Just a suggestion to go easier on the salt.

Steel Cut Oats Breakfast is an instant classic! The oats are smooth, warm and delicious. The fruit, brown sugar and milk are perfection. The blueberry muffin is a perfect accompaniment. Love, love, love!

Our go to brunch spot. It is always busy on a weekend for brunch/breakfast for good reason. We sat at the bar to avoid waiting for a table to open up. The bartender was super friendly. Food; my favorite is the Pesto Chicken Quiona Bowl. If you like pesto it's a great brunch option. My wife gets the Works Omelette with the million dollar potatoes upgrade which is delicious. We have never been dissatisfied with any food item here. Drinks; I got Honey Caramel Iced Coffee it was sweet and delicious. My wife got the pomegranate sunrise which was a perfect brunch drink. The ambiance is wonderful. The restaurant is clean and the staff are all super friendly. You won't be disappointed with anything here. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for an excellent breakfast/brunch spot.

Our server Ashley was great! She was quick and efficient with a warm smile. Our food was ordered and arrived timely. I had the double bacon Parmesan hash...it was delish!! It's the perfect mix of bacon, eggs, home fries, and veggies (onions, spinach, and arugula). I really hope they add it to the regular menu. I added a side of chicken sausage patties to increase my protein intake. I also had a Purple Haze, which is my new favorite drink! They have a bar area plus some booths and tables. I like the variety of seating. There's also outdoor seating available for warmer days. It's in the Summit Pointe complex near the Dollar Tree headquarters. Check it out!!

Came for brunch after church.Thankful I got on the waitlist so once we arrived we didn't have that long of a wait, it was packed in there!!. Our server was very friendly. I got the morning meditation juice and the healthy turkey omelette and cheese grits. The omelette was really good. I wasn't sure if I'd like the tomatoes in it, but it was good. The juice was cute and tasty. Another great meal.

    Shishito Pepper Hash
    Liz R.

Visiting a friend in Chesapeake and we decided to grab breakfast at First Watch before hitting the road back home. Our server brought the energy the entire time and was extremely attentive throughout our visit. They featured lemon blueberry cornbread on their summer menu (& on table toppers and their chalkboard) but when we ordered it we were told they weren't able to prepare it due to a shortage of ingredients from their suppliers :( BUMMER! However they did have the Shishito Pepper Hash which I ordered and absolutely loved! The potato hash itself was a flavor explosion and the pickled red onion, charred shishito peppers and brisket amplified things making the dish a true winner! The side of chicken sausage looked great however was just ok (I only ate 1/2 a patty). Overall it was a good breakfast and we arrived a little after 9am and did not have a wait, although when we were leaving there was a bit of a wait....but the restaurant provides free coffee while you're waiting which is a nice touch. Oh and there's ample parking as well.

We always choose the Greenbrier location in Chesapeake since there's ample parking available, and the service is very good. Tonight I tried a new salad, the Lemon Basil Harvest Blend, and I appreciated our server, Jackeline M for asking if I preferred the dressing on the side. Yes, please! I'm so glad she asked! This mixed greens salad has some star ingredients that caught my eye: charred artichokes, green olives, and grilled balsamic chicken. Yum. I'll be ordering this salad again. My bestie ordered her favorite bc combo with Tomato Soup and the Wine Country salad. She says that soup and salad combo never disappoints. She finished it! But, we always save room to share a trusty bc favorite dessert: the Wimbledon (strawberries with whipped cream crepes). Although it's no longer on the menu, the Greenbrier location always whips it up for us when we ask. It's an oldie, and a goodie! We enjoy the cozy atmosphere of Baker's Crust and find that our dinner catch ups over their delicious food and dessert are always long overdue. I boxed half of my salad to take home and Jackeline was kind in bringing me extra salad dressing to go. Very thoughtful. We'll be back soon!

It's in the same group of buildings such as Michael's (around the corner). My visit here was on October 27, 2025. The outside view of the business is simple, but effective. They have a specials chalkboard next to the entrance. Parking wasn't an issue on this visit, but I'm sure it can fill up at busier times. My mom and I were both in the area as she wanted to go to the Michael's store here. When we came inside, it wasn't busy, as it was around 3:30 pm when we got here. We were greeted by the one who would be our server for this visit. He gave us menus to look at and asked us for our drink orders. I generally stick with water with lemon, which I did here. We were there during the time where it was still the lunch menu (though for us, it was more like dinner for us that day). When he came back with the drinks, he asked if we were ready to order, but we weren't just yet. He also asked if we had any questions about the menu and options and gave us more time to mull over the menu. When he came back, we weren't completely ready, but asked a question about the specials of the day. After that, we knew what we would get and placed our food order. My mom ordered the Meatloaf Lunch Special with mashed potatoes and spinach. I went with the Meatball Sub Lunch Special with mashed potatoes, though I don't normally do potatoes that often. After about ten minutes or so, the food came to the table. The food looked really good, and it was hot too. The bread for the Meatball Sub was very soft and easy to eat. The meatballs were huge and made for a worthy meal. The mashed potatoes with gravy was really good and fulfilling too. My mom loved the meatloaf, and their meatloaf doesn't have ketchup on it like some other places do. She loved the meatloaf, spinach, and mashed potatoes too. After we were done, he asked if we wanted any desserts. We both declined as I normally don't do them anymore. Overall, we both had an excellent experience here. The food and service were on point. The food I had that day did spike my blood sugars, but I expected that with bread and mashed potatoes. I don't make a habit of that though. They are a great local business. There are lots of food options to choose from. If you are looking for a place to eat while in this part of Chesapeake, this place is worth coming to.

I was amazing at how clean the water glass was... it's small things like this that tell me about their attention to detail - very important to notice! The Chorizo Bowl was bland and boring, which is unfortunate. I really wanted to like it, but there was no sauce, no flavor distinction between the items in the bowl and it smelled like flat top grill, not like the ingredients in the bowl. Hot sauce helped, but didn't really help that much. I ended up eating about 1/3 of it. My server did notice and ask, but I told her it was fine...
