I walked in and was immediately greeted and seated by Brady. Brady was also my server. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I told him I wanted pancakes and needed to be served as quickly as possible because I had an appointment in less than an hour. He said no problem and helped me choose my meal. I consider first watch to be one of great breakfast options to go to in st. louis. With that said, I found a new go-to menu item! I usually get the traditional but i've been focusing on protein rich options and the pesto chicken quinoa bowl was CHEF'S KISS! It was packed with flavor and though it looked like a smaller portion, I was so full I could barely finish it. (But let the record show that I did finish it lol) I like to balance savory with sweet so I also ordered a blueberry muffin. I was disappointed to find only 4 blueberries. As you can see in the photo, it was practically a plain muffin. Service was friendly and prompt. I appreciated the waitress just giving me the bill when I said I was going to pay for me and Linda. It became a brunch rush so she forgot about the container I asked for the muffin, but there was a helpful man who was able to get it for me so no worries at all! We went during breakfast/brunch hours. It was slowly getting busy when we got there around 9:30am and by the time we left there were probably about 5 groups waiting to be seated. My daughters and I went to First Watch for brunch today. It was so crowded. Fortunately we got on the waitlist! If you go to the one in Chesterfield watch where you park. A lot of the parking on the side of the restaurant belongs to the preschool nearby. You can park there after hours and on weekends. Our food arrived pretty fast. Our waiter was nice and attentive. My daughter had "carrot cake" pancakes - very disappointed. It had carrot shards, nuts and either raisins or cranberries. She was expecting a carrot cake batter. My other daughter enjoyed her blueberry pancakes. I just had a plain pancake which was fine. Our eggs could have used some seasoning. The caramel donut holes were super sweet! My daughter had the dragon fruit drink - she said it wasn't nearly as good as it was the first time she had it at a different location. Not sure what changed. Fist watch is consistently good food in all locations. The Chesterfield location is our go to. We came in on a Saturday for a late breakfast. Normally there would be a long wait but since the weather was so cold I think it kept people at home. I recommend going to their website and going on a waitlist before arriving to shorten your wait time. The decor is modern with nice booths. The servers are always so pleasant. We ordered our go to's: Granola banana almond crunch pancakes with a side of eggs, frittata rústica and Belgian waffle. First Watch is a great brunch spot and super family friendly. There's always a wait around peak breakfast/brunch hours so I'd recommend giving yourself 20-30 minutes of wait wiggle room. Stopped by for a later breakfast and was very surprised. We both ordered the 'Works' omelette and it was delicious with a side of home fries (old school potatoes). We also shared a pancake which was plenty for two 0f us. Maddie did an excellent job taking care of us, staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean and spacious. Went to buy a gift card, granola, and cookbook as a gift. Had breakfast while I was there. I sat close enough to kitchen that I could hear rude comments directed at co-workers (but still unpleasant to hear). It took so long to get a server that I almost left. The table I had was unstable and wobbled everytime I took a bite. But the waitress was pleasant and attentive once she started service. Food was good but not exceptional. This was my first time to First Watch and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. First off, the atmosphere is more trendy-industrial than boring breakfast place. Our server, Mike, is a pro, thank you to him. The food was great; the Brussels sprouts hash off the new fall menu was delicious (love the chili crunch!), mom's breakfast was perfect and grandma's waffle was awesome. First time at this First Watch location earlier today with my wife, our daughter and grandson! We decided to try this location because of two reasons, first the location closer to us was a 45-minute wait and second this location was very close to Trader Joe's! Just like our first time a few weeks ago at another location, the food is first rate! It was delicious and tasty! I had the Traditional again but started off with a delicious hot chocolate with lots of whip cream, and two orders of the MUST HAVE Million Dollar bacon! Yummy, is all I can say!! My wife had the Market Hash, and our daughter had the Frittata Rustica! The food is so darn good, that I dare say there is no other breakfast place that rates as high as First Watch in my book! Our grandson had the Kids French Toast and he ordered it with bacon, and it came with like 4 slices, he was in heaven! The server, Kimberly, was very pleasant and very helpful. We walked into First Watch in Chesterfield this morning and waited at the front desk to be seated. The restaurant wasn't terribly busy as there were several empty tables. We stood there for 10 minutes and no one bothered to acknowledge us. One woman, whom I recognized as seating us on other occasions, walked right by us 4 times and didn't utter a single word to us. I felt like stepping in front of her to see if she would walk through me. We couldn't even get the "manager" to acknowledge us as he was talking and laughing with a few employees even though he looked at us a few times. Why didn't he come over and say we will be with you shortly? Several employees saw us standing there being ignored. I understand if you were short handed as that's very common nowadays, but at least say something! We finally walked out and went to Billy G's, which I highly recommend, and there we were acknowledged, seated and had a cup of coffee all within a minute of entering. The lack of service from First Watch is unacceptable, especially since you're in the hospitality business. Shame! read more

I haven't been to First Watch in 15 years. I like getting breakfast at lunch. I ordered the Tri-Fecta, two scrambled eggs, one banana crunch pancake and a bowl of fruit. The menu doesn't list the fruit as an option but I've found most places will allow you to substitute an item for fruit easily. The pancake was as big as I remember. My pancake was cooked all the through which can be hard at times when you have items like a fruit in the batter. My eggs were cooked with no runny juices from the eggs. One of our family's go to brunch spots. A casual rustic decor with farm to fork food! Yes it is a chain, but I like all their food offerings, especially for breakfast. From omelettes, egg skillets to traditional pancakes, waffles, fresh tasty bacon or sausage, and plenty of healthier options. And fresh squeezed OJ too. I have tried the Avocado toast with a couple basted eggs; a generous portion of fresh Avocado on their signature whole grain toasted bread, with eggs cooked perfectly with plenty of yolk to dip. Then I ruined the healthy meal with a couple pork link sausages - oh well, gotta satisfy the craving! My better half ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine, yummy with all the fresh veggies! Today stopped in for late (no wait at 1:30p) lunch and ordered the Monterey Club sandwich and side cup soup. I particularly like their Artisan Whole Grain bread that's thick cut, so asked for my sandwich on that bread rather than sourdough, very accommodating! Fresh roasted carved tender turkey with perfectly ripened avocado, crisp bacon, slices tomato, Monterey Jack cheeses and field greens - delicious! And Broccoli Cheddar soup was today's special, very creamy, thick and rich with flavor, just the right amount of broccoli for me. Lunch was tasty, filling, and seemed healthy too! I've never been disappointed here on any occasion from breakfast meetings to special occasions like Mother's Day. Service is generally fast and friendly with a smile, and food comes out quickly if not rush hour. My only watch-out is to be prepared for a table wait during busier hours, especially on weekend mornings, but enjoy a free cup of java while you wait. I'm a big fan, so ENJOY!! read more

Stopped in for brunch on a Saturday after I had been dying to come here since they have been popping up all over STL. So happy we did! Cute little spot with lots of smoothie/fresh juice options and healthy breakfast and lunch items. I had the sweet pecan salad with no bacon or cheese and it was plentiful with the pecans and avocados- super fresh and awesome. Portion was great. My mom and grandma had the veggie soup and half ham? sandwich. They really liked it. The coffee was great- I like that they had soy/almond milk creamers at the table. The service was good and the prices are decent as well. First heard about this place from my niece who went to school in Florida. It was everything she said and more ! This is now our go to place for any breakfast or brunch here in St Louis. We go at least once a week now. I would strongly recommend their homemade chicken sausage as a side to go with any egg or sandwich offerings. It is really good. The "Mil" bacon is also good if you have a few people to share, and like a little sweet and savory together. One of my favorite dishes is still their pesto chicken, kale quinoa bowl. All the yummy flavors, and freshness that I have come to expect from first watch, but is also filling (but not overfilling). I prefer their frittata over the omeletteS, I think you just get more for what you order.
