I have never honestly had a bad experience with Firstwatch as, they always serve delicious, hot, spot on food. Not sure if today was situation since, they weren't slam packed and it seemed like a pretty casual day. I ordered online and instead of door dashing it, decided to make the drive. I walked in and upon my entrance was greeted promptly. After inquiring for my pick up order I was told they were waiting for one of the dishes to be completed to finish my order. I waited approx an extra 5-6 minutes for it to be brought out and the waitress (didn't catch her name but have seen her there on previous visits described my order. Trusting (I should have checked) everything was correct because they had the extra time, I left. My drive was approx 18-20 minutes so heat wise, it held up nicely. However two things stick out about one of my items and they were deal breakers which, had my family dined in would have had the dish sent back and recooked. I specifically asked for NO RADISHES in my Carne Asada Hash as I'm allergic to them. I also specified scrambled eggs which were not present in my order. For the number of times I've enjoyed their food, today however the ball was dropped. It won't discourage me from returning and so get to be more diligent in checking behind the adults who are being paid to make sure my order is correct. read more

Well... -Our initial server, who said she would be taking care of us, was great with giving recommendations...never came back. maybe she switched, I am not sure. But she was still in the building waiting on other customers. -I agree with other yelp reviews when it comes to the eggs. If you order 2 eggs scrambled or fried, its only one egg. When I mentioned it to a server, I was promptly given another one. -Potatoes...they were tasty, but 1/2 of mine were BURNT on one side like they were forgotten about. I had to show my server and he was not happy about that. He profusely apologized. My friend has the same complaints but she let the egg go. I shared my new potatoes with her. I will definitely come back here again. Lots of great choices. Don't be afraid to speak up about those eggs! My wifes over medium egg was scrambled kinda. I get staffing issues. I have them too. I get your other staff needs to make money but having them stay and pretend all is good is wrong. Close the door. First Watch is a nice restaurant but the host they have today, May 3, 2025 at 11:15 am is very unprofessional. So there is no confusion, she's African American, in her 20's. She wouldn't acknowledge us, maybe because we looked like her, she could have cared less if we stayed and waited for a table. We chose to leave but I see she greeted another couple with a greeting; they did not look like her. On 4/27 I was leaving town to take my kid to their grandparents. I stopped by First Watch early in the morning to pick up my usual: Pesto Chicken Quinoa bowl and Million Dollar bacon. This is all I ate plus water. About two hours later I returned home and felt very tired. I became super sick and the food was coming back up (multiple ways and times). I was sick for the entire day. The next day I am feeling 80%. I return to First Watch to get a refund. Clearly this time the food made me sick. First they offered a gift card... No, I dont want to eat here again. I want my cash. Then the manager takes the receipt that I ripped off the bag and asks me why I didnt call him yesterday. Then he asks for the bag that the food came in. Then he asks for the original receipt. Do not come here if you have a party larger than 4 people. This is a small establishment and literally have only two tables that are set up for large parties. They don't move tables together to accommodate larger parties. We waited for over an hour while watching literally dozens of parties of 2-4 pass us in the wait list. We finally gave up and went to Cracker Barrel where they have a larger dining room and are able to accommodate larger parties and have equally, if not better, quality food. read more

Highly recommend this gem of a place. We grabbed breakfast there and loved the place. Even though the air conditioning didn't work, the staff did a great job of keeping their cool and not letting it impact the experience. The food was great, came out fairly quickly and was well worth the wait. I do wish there was more variety on the menu, but they nailed everything we had. And the freshly squeezed orange juice was good, could have been a little sweeter, but I am not complaining. Love their Belgian waffles for breakfast, nice and light. I also enjoyed the sausage. Our waiter was fantastic, gave us just the right about move attention and kept it real about the choices on the menu. I highly recommend this place, for breakfast, and we look forward to visiting again. I have driven past this place too many times to count. I decided to visit when I had family in town. They'd never been here before and wanted to try it out as well. There's free parking in the parking lot outside but there are other businesses that use the parking lot. We had a party of eight. We walked in and were immediately seated. The interior is a nice rustic, home feel. It's an open concept. The customer service was awesome. I don't remember our waitresses name but she was very helpful and honest when I asked her opinion. We didn't know that the food was a farm to table kind of ordeal. Our table ordered two orders of Bacon Cheddar Cornbread. I'd give it 2/10. Everyone agreed that it was dry and the butter didn't help. I wouldn't order it again. My order is seasonal as I went in July 2023. My drink of choice was the honey caramel crunch iced coffee. It was DELICIOUS!!!!!! 1000/10. I considered ordering another one but I decided against it. For my meal I ordered the Strawberry Tres Leches French Toast. It was very yummy! I'd rate it 8/10. I saw a nearby table with the fresh, seasoned potatoes so l shared them and they were delicious, 10/10! I also had a chicken sausage patty, 3/10. I didn't like it. I couldn't quite put my finger on it but I wouldn't order it again. I'd definitely revisit, if you're considering, GO! I've passed the place several times and never had an interest because the rear of the restaurant is adjacent to Christenbury Pkwy. After I saw a review about this restaurant I thought I'd give it a try. I'm certainly glad I did. I was impressed by the ambiance; very nice. My waitress, Chris, was very attentive and knowledgeable about dishes on the menu. This breakfast/brunch establishment. I was hungry and ordered too much food. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. However, it was delicious! The preserve was perfect with the Belgian Waffle; syrup wasn't needed. The Works Omelette was ok, could have done without the link sausage. Placed an online order that said it would be ready in 15 - got there and still had to wait. No problem. That usually means piping hot food. But not here. Drove 10 mins home to find hard, not-so-cheesy grits, wayyyyy undercooked potatoes (had to throw them in the airfryer), and everything seemed to have been sitting there for about 20 mins prior to me receiving the food and driving home. I visited First Watch on a recent weekday morning with my mom and we were able to be seated with no issue. When we arrived, I was surprised to see how small it is on the inside and then immediately understood how wait times can get ridiculous on the weekends. You gotta show up early! They have a pretty extensive menu covering your typical breakfast meals (pancakes, eggs, etc) to the more healthy-conscious (grain bowls, steel cut oatmeal). I decided to stick with the traditional and ordered their tri-fecta: Pancakes, eggs, and choice of meat (bacon). While we waited, we got coffee and I was glad to see they offer stevia in the raw as one of their sweetener options. I will say, we didn't have the most attentive waitress, especially considering the fact that it wasn't busy. Our food came out in due time and everything was good. I wasn't a big fan of the type of the regular bacon they serve; I guess that means I'll have to try their famous 'million dollar bacon' on my next visit! read more

There's raw sugar and steva on the table with half and half and little coffee mate pods. I went with a Belgian Waffle. It was crispy, light, held together pretty well with syrup and the delicious berry stuff that comes on the side. It had a mountain of butter on top which I mashed into it. The waffle itself before I went nuts tasted good on its on very lightly sweet buttery toasty, with a slight cinnamon taste. First time I saw a First Watch was in Kennesaw GA earlier this year. Later MSN portal in the food section gave them high marks as one of the 10 upcoming new chains to watch. I put the Kennesaw store on my hit list to try and despite the fact that I've been back to Marietta to see my son and his family several times, each time is too packed with activities with the grandchildren and not enough time to try First Watch. Will get there eventually . I was excited to see that one had opened at Concord Mill a couple months ago. Turns out this is the third First Watch in the Charlotte Metro area with one other in Matthews and one on Providence Road South of Charlotte heading towards Weddington. Over the last month, we had previously tried twice and each time were told that the wait time was around an hour. Each time we left and went to other restaurants where we had great meals and are reviewed elsewhere. Since I am off Mon, Tues and Wed for the Holidays, my wife suggested we try it on Monday, yesterday when hopefully the crowd and wait would be less and shorter. Even though yesterday was Christmas Eve Eve, she was right. Pouring rain with flash flooding with some areas to the South of us getting up to inches of Rain and heavy traffic, we got seated with no wait. I dropped my wife off at the front door while I parked the car and I was lucky because a car parked in front was backing out so I got a front row parking spot. Good thing because it was raining profusely. Took less than 2 minutes to park the car but still I was shocked when I walked in and she was already seated. Went to the table and we already had menu's and place settings. My wife had talked to the manager who seated her and made a comment that this was our third attempt and he acknowledged that they had been busy. Our server popped by and said she would be with us in a few minutes but that few minutes expanded to around 10 minutes. She finally came back and asked for our beverage order. My wife wanted Iced Coffee and I went with their promotions of a drink that was Fiji Apple Cider, Pear Juice, Chai and Cinnamon. Since we had had so much time with the menu, we told her we wanted to go ahead and order our entrée. My wife ordered the cup of soup of the day which was a broccoli cheddar along with a half sandwich of ham and Gruyere . I opted for the Monterrey Sandwich which is Turkey, Bacon, Avocado and Tomato our you choice of bread which in the case was Sour Dough. Mixed Greens were served on the side as well She turned to leave and in the process, picked up all of the Coffee Cups and I stopped her saying that since the day was so cold and wet, I wanted a coffee as well. She left my cup and came back in about 5 minutes with a Carafe of Coffee and filled my cup. I asked the origin of the Coffee an she said it was East African which I am familiar with. The worlds best coffee comes from a small area n Kenya and the Ethiopian Highland. The coffee before harvesting came from a small women's Co-Op of Widows seeking to provide for their Children. Coffee as very good with good notes and depth but the coffee I had was good but weak. Lunch finally showed up. Wife loved the Broccoli Cheddar Soup Still not convinced that was any Gruyere Cheese on the Sandwich and she even dissected the sandwich. My Monterrey Sandwich was excellent. Overview is that food is excellent within it niche. Service needs improvement in that you end up leaving with the impression that you exist to meet the needs of the server. I will NEVER eat here again. From the start, it was an unpleasant experience. We called ahead and were told it was about a 20 min so get in the wait list online. Easy.. we were 10 min away. Upon arrival, we were told another 20 min. What's the point of the wait list? The server forgot to put our order in. Two tables were sat after we had placed orders and SERVED meals before we even got ours. Also the server had a TOTAL disregard for dietary restrictions and put an English muffin on the same plate TOUCHING my gluten free toast. It got worse. After a recent visit with a friend, I have to unfortunately remove a star for service. On any given Sunday, there's going to be a wait to be seated, that's expected. However, after waiting for a little over an hour my party was up to be seated next. Instead, I watched three parties that were added to the list after me be seated because they openly complained and repeatedly asked the hostess how much longer they had to wait (one party even threatening to leave)... not to mention a party of two that just walked in and were seated before another of party of two that were in the waiting area (I was standing near the hostess' station when she asked if they were on the list and the gentleman that'd just walked in said no). I understand wanting to keep your customers happy but stand firm on the waiting list in respects to all parties waiting. Once we were seated, we had someone swing by and state that she had to drop of drinks to another table but that she'd be right back. After some time, another waitress walked over and stood at the table looking at us, no seriously... she didn't say anything so I spoke and asked if she was there to take our drink orders... she said "I can". We honestly didn't know her name until we received our check. She may have been having off day, but she sincerely didn't want our table and it showed through the service. Overall, the food is good. After we were seated, we ordered quickly and it took over 30 minutes for some food to come out. It took another 10 minutes for the rest of the food to come to our table. After taking 2 bites, the check was brought to us. We personally found that to be quite rude as we were nowhere near being finished with our meal. I have been to many locations all over the US and I have enjoyed them all, however, this location was very different! It was extremely busy, which wasn't a problem, because all locations are always very busy... But the service was so very slow that I felt like I can literally feel my stomach hitting my back bone, as I waited for anything! I ordered the coffee first and when it came out, it was ice cold I had to send it back but when my waitress returned with a hot pot unfortunately, there was nothing to stir in the cream or sugar! no spoon no stirrer, no nothing! It took about 20 minutes for me to ask for something and for her to go find one which again made my coffee cold. I ordered the avocado toast with crab and the over medium eggs. The yolk was runny, but the whites were totally uncooked so they were runny as well. The avocado toast was very tasty and loved the pickled red onions so I gave an extra star for that. The bathrooms were disgusting and every time someone open the door either to enter or exit you smelled it in the entire restaurant. I will never return to this location! I have been here 4 times thus far. The food, every single time, has blown me away. I absolutely love the food here! I am the "stick-to-what-I've-tried" type, but each time I have been here I have tried something different and they did not disappoint. So delicious! The staff has been friendly each time I have been in. There is obviously always a wait because this is a popular establishment. The waiters I have had have been great! The reason I am giving 4 stars is because 3/4 times I have been in my guests and I have waited over an hour for our food to come out. One time it was 90 minutes. I have read other reviews and it seems to be short on staff... my suggestion is to then only sit a certain amount of customers so that we all can eat in a timely fashion instead of packing the restaurant. I understand making money, but you'd probably leave with happier guests who will return again. For me personally, I'll wait because the food is that good. Lastly, I took my son here after he won his little championship basketball game and our waiter gave him free pancakes because of it (what a surprise!) He was so happy and asked for his autograph lol! We used Waitlist for brunch today and once checked in we were waiting to be seated outdoor(requested initially). We were called in and we were asked to follow a gentleman(believe he's the manager) and he showed us our table indoors. When I politely told him that I requested outdoor seating he mentioned that there's nothing availlable (3 tables were empty then) and I need to join the waitlist again. I told him that the lady who I checked In for my waitlist booking she confirmed that outdoor table will be availlable in few and we were only waiting for that. I did go back to the lady and she did made us sit outside. We enjoyed our meal but since they are short on staff do give them some time to get your food out. We've been to a couple of First Watch locations and the food has always been excellent. This location is NOT one of them. When a ham and Greyere cheese omelet tastes bland, there is a problem somewhere. The ham was a single slice of processed sandwich meat and the omelet had brown crispy edges, about an inch into the omelet. In other words, overcooked. My wife ordered a diet coke and it arrived looking more like a glass of tea. If I'm going to pay $20 for a breakfast meal, I certainly expect something better than this. When you walk out the restaurant and see a McDonalds across the parking lot and simultaneously say "we should have just eaten there" indicates that low quality can be had at a much lower price point. read more

Most of the staff was friendly but the girl that took my order put my name in the system wrong which resulted in my order sitting on the counter. This food chain is hit or miss. I ate a seasonal brisket bowl a couple years ago that was AMAZING and they have yet to bring that exact item back. That being said, their regular menu items are just okay. Their grits are not good. I don't suggest them. Could be the type of grits, but they are very grainy. And I really wanted to like them. The carrot cake pancake was huge, but nothing to order again. The ham and Gruyère omelette was so dry. It was like a stack of deli meat and some cheese folded into an egg. Maybe if they added a sauce and didn't just pile the meat in there like that. I do NOT suggest it. I have not tried the entire menu so I wouldn't discourage visiting this establishment. They are always packed so clearly people like it, and I haven't written them off completely. I do think a little more care goes into the seasonal items though. The service is great.
