The gentleman who helped us with paying for the meal told us "well, I will punch someone back there for you." He didn't offer to take the hard eggs off our check or go and get a manager. Went there for breakfast with my husband today. He got the Tri Athlete. What he got was a single paper thin egg wrapped around a lot of filling. He said there was way too many chilies on it. For the price of $13 dollars it didn't seem worth the price for the small cup of fruit. the toast and the eggs with filling. I got the Frittata Rustica. The frittata really should have been cooked longer since there was a bit of yellow liquid in the very center of it. It should be cooked all the way through. Good luck to whoever decides to read this. I hate leaving bad reviews. This was my first and last time at this location. Placed my order for pickup at 11:36 am. I drove to the Florence location (which is my go to) only to realize I ordered from the Crestview location. When I got to the restaurant it was 12:15 pm. I figured my food would be ready, I told the hostess who didn't have a friendly demeanor that I placed my order almost an hour ago. After waiting what felt like forever...honestly I should have asked for my refund and left, at this point, but I came straight from the gym, (I literally placed my order while I was heading out of the gym) I was starving and nursing a hangover and all I wanted were some fluffy pancakes. I was approached by the manager (I think) and was told that my order was supposedly picked up by another customer. I was told that my order would be re-made. I finally get my order at 1:09 pm. I went to my friends place which is 4 mins away, I'm excited to get some warm pancakes in my belly and the food was all TRASH! The order comes with 2 pancakes, I got 1 dry, cold pancake. 2 bites in and I couldn't finish. It was like eating a pancake I left in the microwave and finally discovered it a day or 2 later when I'm about to use the microwave. I think the manager gave me a gift card for the long wait. I'll make sure to order from the correct location next time bc this put such a damper to my day. I've ordered delivery from First Watch and never had to wait this long. Treated our 6 year old to breakfast at First Watch before going back to school after a Dr appt. I had the Farmhouse hash and it was great! Flavorful and felt pretty healthy although I really wish a smaller option was offered as we there was a lot leftover...a half portion would have been perfect, especially if the price was reduced a bit. My husband got the tacos and they were awesome! Good amount, great flavor, just really good. Our daughter got the chocolate chip pancake and it wasn't hot but thankfully the syrup is so that made up for it. I do find it a bit odd that my large meal came with toast and fruit, while the kids meal just had the large pancake... wish they had an option for an egg and smaller pancake and small side of fruit. Dismal customer service. I came in alone. I was directed to the "communal table." I was told "it would be faster, or I can seat you if you want." I could almost hear the eye roll the male server was barely restraining. After 2-3 minutes I started a timer. They seated a couple behind me when the timer was at 6 min. They had their server there taking their order within 45 seconds. As my timer hit 12 minutes I turned around and told them how long I'd been there. At this point, I'm assuming someone overheard and two servers ran up. I told them I was only there at this point to see how long it was going to take. Total time with no one even asking if I had been helped? 15 minutes. There were at least a dozen open tables, not counting the one I was at, and nada. I remember first reading about First Watch in Consumer Reports a few years ago where it was listed as one of the best chains in the United States. It is still a relatively young chain and many chains do struggle with consistency and quality when they expand quickly to meet demand. The menu at First Watch lists up the many advantages of this chain. There is a focus on fresh ingredients and they also offer a fair number of healthy options. Each table also gets their own freshly brewed kettle of coffee and free Wi-Fi is available. First Watch's menu consists of a lot of traditional breakfast items like Eggs Benedict, pancakes, French toast, omelets, and hashes. Other items (not as easily found) include crepes, frittatas and several Mexican cuisine or inspired dishes. For lunch, they offer a few salads and several sandwiches. I went with one of their signature items--the chickichanga. It was scrambled eggs, onions, chicken breast, melted cheese, chorizo, avocado, and green chilies all rolled in a tortilla. The outside was not deep fried, but it was crispy from the searing on a flat top. The concoction was topped with a slightly spicy Latin cream sauce and sour cream. The flavor of the chickichanga was pretty good. I liked the chorizo and the melted cheese. The green chilies also gave the dish a spiciness you do not often get at a chain breakfast spot. The crispiness of the tortilla was also pleasing. The only bad flavor in the dish was the chicken. It was not dry, but it had been marinated in something that made the flavor of the marinade stand out too much. The chickichanga was served with a side of sauteed potatoes. The potatoes were not good. They had no color on them and they were not seasoned that well; they were quite bland. They were also unevenly cooked--some were soft, some were slightly undone and some were very undercooked and quite crisp (like water chestnuts). There was also a side of fresh fruit that featured popular choices like watermelon, pineapple and grapes. I felt prices were good. I think most of their breakfast items were below $10 and the portions were generous. Service was very good. The hostess and manager were very friendly, welcoming and polite. It was the kind of good service that makes people want to be regulars and there seems to be a lot of regulars here. My server was Mrs. Miller and she displayed similar strengths as the hostess and manager--friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly. The atmosphere is pretty simple. It feels like a chain cafe, but the room is also very clean, well maintained and comfortable. I thought the food at First Watch was decent though not spectacular. There might be some good breakfast items here, but I personally prefer Bob Evans based on this one experience (to be fair, Bob Evans has some just average breakfast dishes and sides too). The service is very good though and so is the value. I think if you live in this area and have not yet visited this chain for breakfast, it is definitely worth a try. First Watch is located in a huge shopping and restaurant plaza that has its own free parking lot. First time at First Watch Sunday morning. I love the modern farm look they have, made me feel at home! I did get on the waitlist and quoted 20 min, however it was more like an hour and hot/claustrophobic in the lobby with so many people. Once we got seated, we were met with coffee and drinks and very friendly service from multiple people. I had the best waffle of my life, great bacon, good potatoes, and eggs. First Watch just went way down on my list of places to do brunch. Picked this spot to meet friends for Sunday brunch because of its convenient location, and used the NoWait app, which is a nice way to get seated without a long wait on weekends. And that's about where the "good" stops. Granted it was a busy time for the restaurant, but the level of service was subpar for this chain. The hostess poorly communicated with the patrons, causing much confusion for us and the other guests about where we were to sit and when the tables were ready. Once we were seated, we sat for 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order. And it went downhill from there. Small things that all add up to a bad dining experience: -We had to ask multiple times for a forgotten glass for water. -The food was brought out literally one plate at a time... So between the first person being served and the 6th getting their meal, it had been almost 5 minutes. -We all but had to beg for more coffee for the table. -The ketchup bottle had never been opened and had the interior seal on it, which I had to remove. Any of these things alone would not be such a low rating, but together, mixed with turtle-speed service and minimal attention from the wait staff, they made it hard to ignore how poor the quality of the experience was. I would like to chalk it up to an understaffed crew, but I expect more from this restaurant. One star seems harsh because the food was decent, but two seems far too generous. This is my first visit to -this- location of First Watch and the third different location I've visited. The food is consistently good, no matter which location. Normally, I get a breakfast item, but today tried the Baha Turkey Burger. It was quite good, and I felt like I was eating healthy. I love that First Watch offers so many options that include avocados! I'd give First Watch 5 out of 5 stars if only they would put Tabasco on the table in addition to Cholula. I had been here years ago, but not in recent times because I am not in this area often. I had to be down here for a meeting, and had a free birthday meal reward, so I decided to check it out. We went on a weekday for brunch and there was still a bit of a wait, but nothing compared to the weekends. We were seated and given our menus. We were offered coffee, which was served piping hot and smelled amazing. We ordered the farmhouse chicken hash and bacon and onion hash. They were served with fruit on the side and heavily buttered English muffins, yum! The food was good, right amount of flavor and cooked the right way. The service here was great as well. First watch suffers from a poor taste to cost ratio, and not the greatest service. I'd probably give them a 3 if the cost of the food were a bit lower, but if I spend nearly $60 for my family of 4 to have breakfast I expect something better. $3.30 + tax for OJ is ridiculous. Plus, they offered no special consideration for skipping us in the line (they scratched off all the other names except ours from one page, then moved on to the second page and never looked back. At first I thought they were just filling 2 person tables but when I saw them take 2 people to a large table I spoke up, politely). I wouldn't have minded them not offering consideration normally, but they also did not bring a kids menu for my young son -- and after waiting over a half hour for a table I didn't want to wait longer to have to ask for it, which didn't help with the pricing issue. My honey said his meal (some sort of skillet) was 'ok'. That's about what I had to say about mine (french toast). Cracker Barrel has better french toast, by far, though they have Denny's beat here. The turkey dill crepe is filled with smoked turkey, mushrooms, and Monterey Jack cheese, topped with diced tomatoes, hollandaise sauce, and dill. Rich and creamy, this decadent breakfast dish is not for the calories conscious, but is well worth the splurge. It's accompanied by an English muffin and First Watch Potatoes, the eatery's baked version of home fries. For lunch, I'm a huge fan of the turkey burger, which is far more juicy and flavorful than any other version I've ever tried elsewhere. Served with marinated salad (so delicious), a fruit cup, and First Watch Potatoes, this burger won't ever make you ask "Where's the beef?" I'm inclined to give First Watch five stars because their food is consistently yummy and I don't even mind the wait. It's just the waiting area that I have a problem with. Only tiny bench in front of the counter (which is always packed with customers trying to pay) is designated for waiting patrons. That is not to say things haven't been mixed up or whatever, but this restaurant seems to have the mentality of treating customers well, and being really kind and gracious in their service. For example, I placed a to-go order over the phone. They told me 10 minutes. I showed up in 15. When I went to the podium, they looked at me with wide eyes. Someone had forgotten to put in my ticket. They apologized so many times, even after I laughed and told them it seriously wasn't a big deal. I wasn't in a rush so I told them I'd just do some work while I waited. This is a review regarding the cleanliness and safety of this First Watch. I noticed one of the waitresses/hostess that served my meal to me was wearing black disposable gloves(only they weren't getting disposed of). I watched her serve me my meal , touch tables, bus other tables, touch shared pens, touch the keyboard of the register and touch her face WITH THE SAME PAIR OF GLOVES ON! When I pointed it out to her she became defensive and called me "honey" and "sweetie" condescendingly ....I am probably twice her age......I wanted to inform her that to protect herself and the customers she should wash her hands frequently and/or use hand sanitizer, she only removed her gloves begrudgingly when I asked her to...Iwonder how many patrons have gotten sick with gastric issues/impending flu/covid/colds from her selfish lack of hygiene. read more

I used to really like this place. I would go to First Watch once or twice a week. The service is excellent as it has always been. As a matter of fact the ten years that I have been eating there I have only had one bad instance with a server and that was many years ago. Fortunately they are no longer there. Now let's get to the food. As I was saying I used to really like this place they had very good burgers and a great teriyaki chicken sandwich. Now the menu has gone way too healthy and the items I used to enjoy are no longer on the menu. I had the works omelette with no onion it was cooked a little tough. I did mention it to my server and she was willing to have them make another for me but I decided it wasn't that big of a deal. Also I felt the order of home fries I got could have been a little bigger and my server also took care of that by getting me more. I understand how restaurants want to be on the healthy side with the healthy trend growing, but not all of us out there you want something healthy all the time it's nice to splurge once in awhile. I have cut my visits down to about once every other month and I must say again it has nothing to do with the service because the servers are excellent It's just the kind of food that they serve now. Yet, I bring my to-go order to work to find REGULAR bread. The ticket even said GF! So obviously the kitchen isn't taking the matter as serious as they need to be. Another time I ordered no mushrooms, once again because I cannot have them. What do yah know...there were mushrooms in my omelet. The people working are kind. But with my continuous poor experiences I can find better locations. Kitchen needs some major work on paying attention and triple checking their food items before sending out.
