Went to First Watch ,for the first time . Friend and I ordered the Monterey club sandwich . Did not look like a club sandwich . It looked like a regular sandwich. We were disappointed with the sandwich. Only the crust was toasted . They left off the avocado . And the turkey was thin sliced what looked like lunch meat . .There was a lot of it . ,but for everything to be fresh this was not what we expected. The bread fell apart in a few pieces, even though it was cut in half . For a $10. Sandwich we were disappointed. We will not go back . read more

I think this is a much needed breakfast place in LH! Yes, there are some growing pains, new staff, be patient! It's packed about every weekend since it opened and the staff is working hard! Meh . . . Waitress took our order and didn't see her again (it'd be nice to get water pitcher refill). Ordered the cornbread carnitas, which came out cold, the poached eggs on top were lukewarm. My family was about finished when i caught the attention of a manager (no one came by to see if we needed anything). They couldn't reheat the oder so he offered to remake it. Well after waiting 15mins for that we decided to leave. As we stood up my oder appeared, too late. He took it off tab, which one would expect. OOOOOO this was terrible. After checking in online, we checked in with the hostess at the door (literally, she was opening and closing the door and yelling out names and whatnot). She said that it would be about 5-8 minutes longer - no biggie. Took turns running our toddler around the building 30 times to wear her out, and after 25 minutes of this, the same hostess asked our names and said "Oh, your table's been ready for a while! We were looking for you!" Uh, no. We've literally been standing here the whole time. Went inside and the OTHER hostess said "You need to check in w/me, not her" (despite that they both had tablets that had our info, ok). No one came to our table until we went back to the front, then we had our order taken, drinks dropped, food dropped, the forgotten food dropped, syrup dropped, and check dropped by different people each time. Everyone sucked. The food was fine, but forgettable. The service was not. read more

First, great location. We need more breakfast spots in the area. Nice place inside. I've eaten at a First Watch in San Antonio so I knew what to expect food-wise. Have given this location 3 tries in their short life span. They still need a LOT of work, especially when it comes to customer service. LH folks are patient yet we have lots of great restaurants and will not tolerate poor service. Food takes wayyy too long. First 2 times it was 20 minutes. Third time it clocked in at just over 9 minutes. An improvement, yes, but still too long when the place was half empty. Waitstaff, when you finally greet me after sitting down, don't immediately ask for my order. I just sat down and haven't received a drink yet. BUT don't ignore me the rest of the meal either! I need you to check on me instead of vanishing into the back of the restaurant. And it's not "convenient", as you say, to give me my check right after I receive my food. I now feel rushed. Perhaps that's another reason you don't come around again? Corporate trainers were still there on visit #3, sitting in a booth. I'm wondering what they are doing since there's still a need for training. Food is delicious so I'm not giving up. Yet. But patience is wearing thin. read more

This location is still working out all the kinks. Expect an incredibly long wait to be seated and then be prepared for the kitchen to be backed up by 30-45 minutes. For a place that's only open for breakfast and lunch you'd think they would be prepared to be busy. There was trash and old pieces of food debris on the counter tops and on the floors along with pieces of smashed foods that seemed to have all be marinating there for quite some time. When we arrived at the restaurant there was a chewed up straw, loose piece of cookie, and a kids cup at the register and when we left it was all still there. If that's how they keep the dining room I'd be afraid to see the state of the kitchen. We were told because of all the problems the restaurant was having we would have our meal comp'd by the manager. While the manager was talking to GM to do so, the server came and told us we would be getting $40 in brunch bucks. When the manager came back she gave us $20. We spend an average of $50 when we come in. We were also told the GM would call and follow up with us to make this experience "right." It's been three days and no words from them. Go to the location on PRESTON & FOREST. They are the only location that seems to have a handle on how to run their business. read more

I want to start with the food was great! Vast menu with options for anyone. That being said, the service we received was terrible. This was our first time trying this place. As soon as we walked in the hostess was very friendly, but that was about it. The rest of the staff walked around with no sense of urgency, we didn't get acknowledged at our table for almost 15 minutes. Our waitress was rude and unfamiliar with the menu when we asked questions. The food came mostly correct but there were a few things we asked for that were missed. After our food was delivered, we were not checked on even once till we had to flag our waitress down for a to go box and check. When we checked out, there was a hope for cashier to ask how our visit was because I was ready to lay out our frustrations, instead she stuck her hand out for our check while talking to another employee, then said you just swipe your card, and handed me back a receipt. Didn't even get a thank you upon leaving the counter, except again from the hostess who opened the door for us and told us to enjoy our day. I wish I got her name, but she and the food itself are the sole reasons for giving a second star. read more

I have eaten at other locations and always had fantastic food and good service. Today we went in at 8:15 on a Monday. There were only a few other people in the restaurant. We placed our order and after 40 minutes the waiter came back with our check ( we hadn't even gotten our food). They didn't say anything just went to do something else. We then got our food 10 minutes later with no explanation about what had happened. We had seen several tables around us get food after arriving 20 minutes after. The eggs on the Benedict were hard boiled instead of poached. So I know they are new and kinks in staffing will be worked out but no one said anything about what happened or even acknowledged the mistake. read more

Ordered the classic eggs Benedict with potato and no tomato. The order was wrong. My husbands classic breakfast came with bacon. The bacon was not cooked properly and was half raw. Breakfast was almost $27.00 for the two meals, a water and iced tea. This was our first time and probably last. It is close to our home which is why we decided to try First Watch out. Will be doing the drive to Matchbox instead for brunch in the future. read more

Used the waitlist feature on yelp and did not have a wait at 9:15 on a Sunday. We had excellent service. Server was attentive and prompt. Our order came out as described, was hot and had great flavor. I tried the banana granola pancake which was like eating banana bread. My husband ordered an egg white omelette off of the healthier menu and really enjoyed it. The fruit cup was very good and had a variety of berries, pineapple, grapes and melon. We will defiantly be returning. read more

What a disappointment!! Went there on Black Friday for brunch. The restaurant was not crowded. We were seated quickly & our drink order taken. After we rec'd our drinks, our server took our food order. We were beginning to give up on our order when ours and another server brought out the orders for 4 of us. We didn't want to eat w/out the 3 remaining family members receiving their orders. Finally, we gave up on that happening & started 2 eat!!! Our eggs were cold!!! People all around us were getting their orders! It took 15 minutes for the remainder of our order to come! Oh, but wait, we were still short a chocolate chip pancake. By the time it came, we had all finished our meals!! I don't know if the kitchen was short staffed, but our server was not on top of her game--1pot of coffee for 7 people. She never came around to see if we needed anything, like more coffee!! Finally, my daughter-in-law said, "we'll make this do!" There was only white granulated sugar & sugar in the raw on the table. Being diabetic, I asked for artificial sweetener. They had none, but would bring me half & half, or I could use the sugary Int'l Delight creamer on the table!! Ugh!! I had really looked forward to going to this restaurant after everyone I know had bragged so much about it!! Now, I'm thinking it will be a long time before I return!!! read more

The food is okay. But they don't understand the concept of bringing your order out in a timely fashion and correct. I live in the area and have been there maybe a dozen times. There's a pattern and it's problematic. Food takes to long and your order is either incomplete upon delivery or wrong. Once they comped my meal. Once. At this price point they need to raise their service level to match the expectations of the paying customers. The competition is getting it right. read more

Had brunch today with my children and parents. Joined the waitlist on the App and arrived at the specified time. We waited only five or so additional minutes from the time specified. Once seated we waited at least 20 minutes to order and then another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Sitting for over an hour before food arrives at the table is unacceptable. When asked, the waitress told us not to eat there on Sundays if we didn't want to wait. I love to support local restaurants. But I will not go back anytime soon. Way too long a wait for pancakes, salad, soup, and eggs. read more

I've been to other locations which is why I tried this one. Disappointed. The service was slow. A 20 minute wait for my husband's bacon and eggs. My omelette arrived 10 minutes later and was cold in the middle. The server apologized and comped my meal. The problem was the kitchen and not her. Excellent Brunch! The Richardson location never disappoints. Very accommodating to all tastes and allergies. Highly recommend the Million Dollar Bacon, go ahead get one for the table! No reservations, but if you use the app to get in line before you arrive, there is no issue, and you can avoid waiting. read more

Today it was not so great, although at their location nearby on Northwest Highway and Abrams we had a really good experience and the food was served warmer and better overall. This place looked dirtier too. Maybe it's the management at this location. We went late, so maybe the grills were dirty by then. However, they should clean them off regularly during business hours too. There were four of us, enough to sample many items. We ordered a skillet, the traditional breakfast, a works omelet, and eggs and biscuits and gravy. None of our food was hot. We had to send back two items because one dish had 2 raw bacon slices and 2 more that were charred and there were dirty char marks on all the food, which makes food taste terrible. The potatoes on my wife's dish were burnt and cold. I could describe how each item including the toast was made wrong but I don't want to waste anymore time with this spot. All, in all we regretted bringing our out of town guests to First Watch. read more
