I've always loved first watch! The past couple of times it has been a hit or miss though. I think it is because they are usually always busy and a tad understaffed. Last time I went, it took the server 15 minutes to bring us drinks. The manager actually noticed we had been sitting there for a while and sent over another server but then our original server wound up coming out. The service is always prompt and friendly, the food is always fresh and made as ordered, and with their recently-refreshed interiors, the dining room is a pleasure to look at. It can get pretty busy for weekend brunch, so if you do attend on the weekend for breakfast, go early or put your name on the list via Yelp first! I usually get either the "traditional" or a "trifecta." Those are great go-tos if you want a fairly standard breakfast. I started hitting first watch just a few weeks ago. It's a very unassuming place from the outside. It's by some other fast food places like Taco Bell and Chick-fil-A, but wow it's very much the opposite. It's one of the healthiest breakfast menus I have seen. And what's more,,, edible healthy! Everything looks and tastes great. I have been hooked on the power wrap. It's tastes incredible. You would swear it's not healthy as good as it tastes. And yet it's nutritional and comes with a big bowl of fruit besides. The kale juice that you can get must have something added to its extra tasty because it tastes better than any kale thing I have had before. I haven't had too many other items(avocado toast is killer good) but I definitely plan to. So far the word isn't out on this fairly new spot. You can order and be in and out far faster than you would expect. Just one more reason why I dig the spot. To be fair, it's sits near my gym so convenience plays a small part. Let's update my review to my even worse experience at this location. Upon arrival we requested a booth and were placed at a table (of my choosing) to notice that the table was set but very dirty! The juice cups were filthy as though they had not been properly washed if washed st all. Our waitress agreed and said they did a poor job the night before but the staff still set the table...? Strange! Disgusting! Why would they do that. Cups were removed and never brought back. Service was terrible. The food came out and didn't look anything like other locations. My eggs weren't cooked evenly. Everything looked sloppy. My fiancé' ham was overly burnt and the outside of his pancake as well. So disappointed, again! This location is so convenient for us! Quick, convenient, fresh. Food was splendid. Service is mediocre. I've had far better serve at their other locations. Wasn't given water so when the manager walked by, I asked for some. This is the second time in two days that my to go order has been wrong. And if you count the amount of times my assorted jobs in the area have ordered from here over the past year for us -7 out of 7 times they have gotten my order wrong. I want to like you First Watch but you've literally never given me what I've ordered. Yesterday i got a chicken soup instead of a tomato basil and I'm vegetarian so i didn't get to eat lunch at all yesterday, thanks for that.... Today i ordered a pecan salad with no meat and extra avocado, I got less than half of an avocado and NO PECANS which are the highlight of the dish if you get it without the meat. C'mon. This is ridiculous I'm basically eating lettuce, cheese, and the saddest third of an avocado I've ever seen. I worked in food service for years and i never would have let this terrible excuse for a salad be seen by a customer. Please show the effort to make this right? read more

I had the seasonal pumpkin pancake breakfast and it was so delicious. I left feeling very satisfied with the portion. Mine came with eggs and fruit. We started with the million dollar bacon which was amazing and couple of the seasonal juices, which were good but a little pricey for being just good. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious; chickenchanga was good but needed more avocado. Biscuits and gravy were also good but the gravy needed to be thicker and more chunky. As a customer here for years, on a weekly basis I have to address some major issues that have gotten worse and worse at this location Food is undercooked - bacon may have been fresh from the packaging and not cooked (3 meals worth at once) had to send back for safety reasons and took 3 different people to "check on it" 5 different employees came to our table leading to no consistency. Our son wanted orange juice, which was ordered with the meal, never came after 5 different people were asked. Even when the check was given to us there was no juice to be found. Tables were sticky and not well cleaned This establishment was once a great location but has since fallen terribly. We will not be back. read more

I love 1st watch and frequent the Deerfield location. Sometimes they do fall a bit short as this happened last Sunday that I visited. Its not very organized with checking in and paying, literally a mob of people pretty much 9-1. I visited around 12:30 and was told a 20 minute wait, waited 40 minutes, and their digital list said it was an hour plus. The food came out fast but the servers are never to be found for fresh coffee or condiments. I asked for water and didn't recieve it until the end of the meal. I'll be back because I love the food so much but I may go out my way to another location because of the inconsistent service and disorganization. read more

On Dec 24 I had breakfast with my mother. The bill came out to $28 dollars. Days later, I saw they overcharge my credit card for $60 from this restaurant. Spoke to the manager. Refused to credit my card but promised to mail me food coupons. The coupons never arrived and they kept the overcharge. Please watch your bank statement when visiting this location. I'm not too impressed by First Watch. It's maybe a little nicer than a local breakfast diner because of the decor and the whole 'healthy' facade. Being vegan, there's virtually nothing off of the menu that I can just order without making substitutions. I've been to the location near Tampa and had the A.M. Superfood Bowl which is a bowl of coconut milk chia seed pudding with fresh bananas, berries, blackberry preserves and housemade granola. It's served with a slice of the whole grain artisan toast topped with almond butter and sea salt, which after browsing the website, I realized is in fact NOT vegan (thought it is labeled as such). Apparently the bread apparently contains milk. There's nothing that I can't stand more than misinformation when it comes to ingredients, it's not brain surgery. As a server, you should be 100% knowledgeable about what is in the food you serve, as some people have real allergies that can be life threatening. With that being said, on this trip, I decided to go with something different and tried the Brilliant Beet Toast (not yet realizing the fact of the toast). I was happy that our server said I could sub out the eggs that the dish is served with and of course omit the goat cheese. I asked our server if the potatoes were vegan since it's sometimes cooked with butter; without hesitation she says, "oh yea, that's not vegan". So I reluctantly went wIth the tomato soup that she assured me was vegan. That was when I decided to go online and double check. Come to find out the opposite - potatoes are vegan and the soup contains milk thus making it NOT vegan. My husband called her back to the table to discuss and asked her to just go ask the chef. She came back and said she was mistaken and that the potatoes are cooked in oil but said the soup is new (??) and it really is vegan. Okay lady, don't believe you at this point but okayyyy. Either way, the food was good but we both left irritated at her ignorance. Let's not forget that when we walked in and waited to be seated, the couple behinnd us was helped before us. Wtf? Apparently the line when you walk in the front door is to pay your check. Good to know. Thanks for the sign.
