Terrible iced coffee and horrible oatmeal they used instant and it was dry and tasted like paste. To confirm that it was instant you could see 6 boxes of Quaker instant oats prominently displayed on the kitchen shelf. (Too bad I didn't see these first!) I love First Watch! The pancakes are LARGE and fluffy and delicious. All of their egg dishes are scrumdiddly-upticous. I have not been for lunch only breakfast/brunch. I loved the pumpkin pancakes in the fall. The multigrain is good all the time! Breakfast scrambler is great! My only complaint I had in 5 visits was that my English muffin was too hard--maybe it was toasted too long? Maybe it legit was stale but whatever they replaced it with a perfectly great one! read more

Carol and I had a terrific breakfast at First Watch in Franklin, TN. We each had a "hash" dish, she the Parma and I the Market (I believe I am correct on the names.) We added an order of turkey sausage links. The price was $30 for the two of us, perhaps a little more than we normally spend for breakfast out, but no complaints here. There was more than enough food, the service was great, and the environment very pleasant. We want one in Louisville, KY. We have not tried wild Eggs, in Louisville, KY yet, but suspect the overall environment may be similar. Had a great time. read more

If you are anywhere near Franklin avoid this place at all costs, literally a terrible experience from the moment we walked up, got nasty looks from all of the customers and there was a wait out the door. Must be a place for locals which we are not because everyone seemed stuck up. Not a good vibe at all. The staff was dismissive and rude and the ONLY reason we stayed was because we were so hungry. The wait was supposed to be 30 min and it was an hour. We were seated at a dirty table with only two water glasses, the waitress took FOREVER to get to us and then brought the wrong food. Food itself was average at best. Never come here, waste of time and a headache. read more

Love this place! It's simple stuff, but I'm convinced I could not make avocado toast or biscuits with turkey gravy taste that good! It is a little pricey, but lively with excellent portion sizes. Their seasonal and blueberry pancakes are wonderful! I didn't give it 5 stars because we go there 1-2xs/week and the service is inconsistent. There are a couple of waitresses in particular who consistently keep us waiting for 5 minutes before even taking a drink order to linger at other tables to chat. Frustrating enough that we have ventured to one of the other 3 locations. read more

Our salads and fresh pressed juices were delicious! 5 stars for the food and juice. 1 star for the service. Our waitress took almost 10 mins to even greet us, Didnt bring water over until our juices came. So sat for 15 mins with nothing. Kitchen also messed up my salad my boyfriend was basically finished with his before she even came over to check on us and return mine. On our visit to Franklin for the Pilgrimage Festival we ate a heavy brunch at both First Watch and Tupelo Honey (located in the same shopping center) to avoid lunch food lines at the festival. Each place had its pros and cons. But overall, I'd say they are comparable in terms of price and quality. I thought the prices were in line for the quality of food and the atmosphere. My best friend ordered the juice thing? with tumeric and beet juice and such...and it was SO GOOD! Probably the best thing we had, even though everything was really good, fresh and hot. I liked that the eggs benedict was served on a substantial, toasted ciabatta roll rather than a thin soggy muffin. Lemon ricotta pancakes were also super. We did wait a long time to receive our food, but that might have been due to the busy festival weekend. read more

I got the Chickichanga with eggs whites and it was amazing! The other person in my party ordered the Beefeater and raved about the Parmesan-crusted sourdough. I honestly love the food at First Watch! Great menu selections but the food is usually delivered lukewarm versus right off the grill. They have THE BEST waffles in Nashville but every time I order them they are delivered with a scoop of butter that of course isn't melting because the waffle isn't hot. So I started ordering egg dishes because I really want to love the place. And fortunately, the same issue - I can't figure out if the issue is the cooks or servers take too long to deliver the food but it is an issue. They also have darn good coffee, which is always hot. read more
