We've been to this location several times and have usually had good experiences, but this visit was disappointing, mainly due to cleanliness. The dining area was noticeably dirty, with multiple tables covered in visible crumbs, food, and trash, even though it wasn't busy. It made the whole experience feel uncomfortable and honestly pretty off-putting while trying to eat. This hasn't been the cleanest location on past visits but because we've been in hospitality we've tried to give some grace and have come back again, but it was especially noticeable this time. Food was mixed - the tenders were fine, but the nachos were much lighter on toppings than usual and the jalapeños, onion, and lettuce were very roughly chopped to the point I ended up picking a lot of it out. I also found a bone in my chicken, which was concerning because it was a good size. Hoping this was just an off day, but the cleanliness is something that really needs attention. For now, we might be changing up locations if we're craving Waldo's chicken. read more

Visiting family out here in the great state of Tennessee and stopped by Waldo's for the first time on the way home. I'm not big on chicken tenders but this place wasn't too bad. I feel the only real value is with the tender combo as why would you pay more foe a chicken sandwich when you can get 4 tenders and a drink for less cash than only a chicken sandwich? Fries were awesome. I later found out that you can get them extra crispy making them better, but I digress. Coleslaw is straight diabetes. Also great. I got their hottest dry rub and some habanero oil on the side. Both were manageable if you like heat. Customer service was on friendly and on point. Probably would stop by again for a quick snack. Quality chicken all around, love that they fry in beef tallow!! The drive-thru moves surprisingly fast for the quality you're getting. I recently tried the fried strips and mac & cheese and really enjoyed both. Everything was packaged well and still hot when we got home about 10 minutes later. My only suggestion would be offering a bit more sauce or allowing more than one sauce flavor for free. Otherwise, a solid experience and I'll definitely be back. read more

Waldo's is one of my favorite convenience options in Franklin. The food is good, the employees are friendly, they have a drive thru, and the prices are reasonable. I can also find fairly healthy options! This location is on the back of the strip with Vu Kitchen and Big Bad Breakfast. The drive thru is a big reason I end up here so often. There aren't a lot of drive thru options in this area so I'm very appreciative that Waldo's offers this. The employees here are very friendly. My first couple of visits I needed a minute and the employees were really nice about that. They are thorough with questions about orders to make sure they get it right. Waldo's isn't typical fast food so plan a few extra minutes. I have been fine with this since I think I get better quality food here. This is a great spot for healthy options or decadent ones. The fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and biscuits are delicious. Those are my more indulgent choices. I mostly come here when I want something healthier. The rotisserie chicken is delicious. They have about a dozen sauce options to kick it up a notch too. The cucumber salad is light and fresh. I like their collard greens too. The fries and potato wedges are just okay, a little on the soggy side. The Chicken Scratch Salad included a lot of greens, a generous portion of chicken, and really tasty croutons. The drinks are a hit with my husband and daughter. They love the sweet tea and lemonade. If I can grab a decent meal at a decent price without pulling my kids out of the car then you have my loyalty. Food Everything was bangin! Ordered the rotisserie chicken, the OG, cheddar biscuit basket, Mac n cheese, potato wedges and Everything was amazing! The thing I Like is their chicken is actually seasoned well, not too much breading on the OG, the Alabama white sauce was really flavorful and paired well with the pulled chicken. The cheddar biscuits are a must-try and don't even need the butter. Service was extremely quick! Felt like we had the biscuits before we even sat down lol. Small interior, so most orders were takeout. Small selection of draft beers to choose from but the reason to try this place is definitely the food! read more

Great little place in Franklin with inside seating and a drive through window. Not a large place but the tables turn fast. I did see a lot of takeout orders being picked up around dinner time. I ordered the 6 piece chicken strip dinner with 3 sides. Chicken was moist and flavorful and breading was very well prepared. I opted for Buffalo and the Hot dipping sauces. Both were good but the hot had more flavor. White beans side was awesome, Mac and cheese was average and the cole slaw good but not exceptional. Quick and friendly service with beers on draft and a light bar offering. I'll be back to try some other options. Worth a stop. read more

Since moving to Nashville, we have been a fan of Waldo's Chicken & Beer, visiting several of their locations around the city. Little did I know there was one near my office in Franklin, so when I found that out, of course I swung by for some tenders! This Waldo's sits in a plaza on Liberty Pike, features a drive thru, small bar to belly up to and a variety of seating for dine in. Service is always solid at Waldo's, no matter location. The employees here are always friendly and helpful when needed. Food wise, we always go for the tender meal, but have strayed and grabbed the OG Sandwich or even the nachos on occasion. My latest visit here, the tenders were calling, so I picked up. I usually go with the fries as my side, and they are decent. I am not a big fan of their side selection, but it does the trick. I usually get my tenders naked with the Alabama white sauce for dipping. They do offer a variety of beer and your standard drinks, which is what I usually go with, as that sweet tea normally hits the spot! Wait a damn minute .... Waldo's just rocked my world. I actually cannot stop thinking about their chicken tenders. And the mac & cheese. And the little cheddar biscuits. I want to wake up and pop one of those into my gullet every day. Usually I try and be eloquent & poetic in my Yelp reviews (i.e: not use the word "gullet) but today I'm at a loss for words. I don't know how to fully express my adoration for the FLAVORFUL, SALTY, perfect chicken. The staff were also so kind today. Specifically this one guy whose name I neglected to catch. Family friendly, great for date night with the hubby, meal with friends, you name it! We ordered the Loaded Nachos with fried chicken, wings (ordered 2 sauces and they split it 50/50 for us), side of French fries, and coleslaw! It was an added bonus they have chocolate chip cookies at the register! Brought them home and had them with milk and some ice cream! Delicious! Highly recommend getting a side of onion rings. The fries were great, im picky on my fries but these were great. Loved the slaw, best I've had in Nashville thus far, the flavor is impeccable. Went to Waldo's tonight and had an Incredible Experience. Met the manager Corbin and he was super nice. This wasn't our first visit and won't be the last. Corbin was telling us about his favorite side the white beans. I mentioned that I had not ever tried them and he brought out a sample. I will get them on the next visit. Simply put....just down right delicious, tender and juicy chicken and oh-my-goodness great sides (especially the white beans - truly remind me of home). This has become our default friend or roasted chicken go-to. Family friendly....eat in or carry out or drive through. Stopped by for lunch today. Got one fried pickles (as this place does them best), cheddar biscuits, 2 house beers that super smooth and refreshing and 2 8 pieces wings that have a lot of good flavor and are meaty. I've wanted to visit Waldo's for a while now, this location in the ever-expanding greater Cool Springs area near the hospital, located in what locals will recall was a field just a few years ago. And I finally made it! Waldo's is often touted as one of the better local fried chicken joints, But competition is stiff. Do they hold up? The employees are wonderful and very efficient during the lunch rush! You won't wait long for your food. The menu boasts that all sides are made fresh daily, but I made the unfortunate choice of selecting the potato wedges. Whether or not they were made that day, they were reminiscent of something prepared days in advance, frozen, and reheated when I ordered. They were soggy, very unappealing, and way oversalted! And with that first unimpressive bite, the rating began at two stars. But Waldo's made a comeback. The OG is probably one of the top 5 chicken sandwiches in the Nashville area, and that's saying something! A deep-fried chicken thigh with as much crispy batter as meat is accompanied by pickles, lettuce, and herb mayo on a fresh, chewy bun. If you're a fan of Alabama White Sauce, their peppery version of this dipping sauce is fabulous, maybe only second to Martin's in the entire area! Honestly, if you like southern cuisine, I think you'll enjoy Waldo's. Just avoid those dreadful potato wedges! read more

The food was decent. However, something keeps happening every time I go. They leave something out and I have to DRIVE back to the store. In response they give me extra rolls, etc. A number of times I have spoken to the manager about it. He (they) apologized. Now, the sad part is that I continued to give them my business. Afterwards, on another occasion the manager literally came to my car with my order but guess what I realized when I got home! Yet again, he (they) had left something out of my order. Not to mention, when I did return for him to complete my order, he had a bit of an attitude. Thereafter, like an abused lover I went back, but started going in rather than through the drive through. In particular, to hopefully avoid the manager who I had begun to believe was actually being passive-aggressive. Those 1-2 times going in rather than driving through were okay but eventually I stopped patronizing them all together. Well, guess what happened today! I decided to go back to the abuser. Initially, the young guy at the counter was fine. Then the passive-aggressive, yellowed eyed manager came out, and he seemed to be trying to position himself to catch a glimpse at my face. I had on a hat and tried to keep my head down and back towards him. Finally, the young guy brought my bag over. To my surprise, not! I headed for the door but decided to double-check my order because the clerk's energy had changed. I noticed it after he had gone to the back for an extended time, and also taking account of the history with the weasel manager. Well, wouldn't you know that he had left a whole half dozen rolls off of the order. I informed the clerk that had his newly introduced yuck energy. He supposedly went to get them. He waited on other people, went to the back office, pulled items out of his pocket. He said, "is something wrong." I asked him again and he said, "Oh! I thought I had given them to you." Then it took him a little bit to bring them thereafter. I then went outside filmed and posted about my horrible experience with Waldo's inept loc'd haired manager with the yellowish eyes. I am now on a campaign to make this horrible manager with yellowish eyes that manages the Franklin, TN on Liberty famous for his horrible management. Think about it, all of this falls on him. As a customer, I had to encounter this inept service 5-10 x s out of my 15-20 visits. I am so over them! The management sucks if they and the employees continually leave things out of their customers' orders, and/or the manager is a passive-aggressive, yellow eyed weasel. This is probably my favorite chicken place I've had in Nashville. Way better than chick-fil-a. Their mac-n-cheese & cheddar biscuits are soo good. I will say they give you the tiniest amount of sauce, like my tiny container is usually filled only half way. All in all a really good chicken spot. read more

This place is AMAZING !! My family is from Buffalo, and we are pretty serious about wings. Normally, I don't even order them because they are disappointing (Buffalo Wild Wings is disgraceful). But, another wing aficionado recommended that I give this place a try and he was 100% accurate. Not to mention,EVERYTHING on the menu that they serve is FRESH - and NEVER FROZEN. So, you're getting quality food. The Mac & Cheese was superb, the fries are excellent and the banana pudding is as good as my wife's. Oh, and the muffins are to die for...I'm not kidding. I was contacted same day and over the phone I explained I was not from the area but was given Waldos as a recommendation for an upcoming event. Nardin, the Catering Manager invited me in to taste catering options to ensure we chose what was right for my team. For over an hour she and the Store Manager brought out different plates, explained how they were made fresh in house, answered all questions and went over different options. I was blown away the experience as I often place catering orders for work and have never had the high level of service and quality I experienced today. If I could give ten starts I would. The sauces are very good. It sort of feels like somebody made some great sauce recipes and then needed to figure out what to dip in the sauces. We had the Comeback Sauce, Jalapeño Ranch, BBQ, and Honey Mustard. Note that the Honey Mustard sauce is not creamy but more of a "honey with mustard powder" type. It was really good, just not what might have been expected. Very tasty sauces all around. The chicken tenders are good. Not the best I've had in the area, but very good. They are also a bit small for tenders, so you might want to order more than you think. The Mac N Cheese was good, backyard BBQ style. The Cheddar Biscuits were also good. Potato wedges were basic but good. Staff was friendly. Online order for pickup went smoothly. And they have a drive-through too. read more

My wife and I tried Waldo's for the first time tonight. Staff was excellent, food was excellent. However, the prices are very high for the amount of food received. We order the bucket of chicken but didn't really get that much chicken for the $42 price tag...kind of surprising. Anyway, we will still be back but buy something else that is more in line with amount of food/price of food balance. read more
