This place is always packed! No matter the location. So I recommend making a reservation, even on weekdays. I always get the same thing when I come to First Watch, which is the waffle and eggs. It's good every time. What I really love here are the drinks! Every special drink I've tried was so good and refreshing. I've tried the morning meditation drink and the purple haze drink. This was my third visit to First Watch and the restaurant always exceeds my expectations! First, I love the fact that you can join the waitlist from your phone. This option is rather convenient during these Covid times! Sitting in your car until your table is ready is awesome and it would be nice if more restaurants would/could implement a virtual waiting list! During each visit, I am thoroughly impressed by the friendly service I receive. The restaurant is always clean and the food is always fresh and affordable! This was my first visit during Covid and it is clear the restaurant is taking precautions to keep its patrons safe. Guests were only being seated after every other table to ensure the six foot spacing recommendations is met and the waitress were cleaning tables after each party left. I would come back with a smaller group, but I wouldn't trust their reservation system again. We had a big group, so we set up a reservation and called in that morning to confirm the reservation. When we showed up they had given away our big table about a half hour earlier. A couple of the workers were extra snippy about it too. I always enjoy eating here or at any of the first watch restaurants. The decor and the customer service was really good despite the high volume. Sunday mornings and brunch time are crazy hectic and wait times can be around an hour. The waitress was kind and the food came out relatively quickly and was fantastic. I've seen this chain in a few cities, but this was my first visit and I can't believe I've been missing out! This place is the definition of attention to detail to give you a great dining experience. We were immediately seated upon arrival around 9AM on a Sunday. Our friendly server showed up with a carafe of coffee in hand, and left it with the table. We appreciate this, as we are big coffee drinkers. We both ordered the Bacado omelette, with an a la carte French toast slice to try. I liked that the syrup was delivered in a warmed jar. Our omelettes were fantastic, but the real note worthy part for me is everything that came with it! The potatoes were perfectly crispy, yet still soft, and full of flavor-- if I needed to pick a golden standard for breakfast potatoes, they would be these! The multigrain toast was definitely a premium bread, it reminded me of something artisan you'd pick up at a farmers market. The preserves had me asking at checkout if they happen to sell it by the jar, she laughed and said she gets asked that a lot. While the main course was fabulous, all the small details are what truly made this a phenomenal meal. I saw a Purple Haze drink get delivered to a table nearby were the recipient exclaimed it was the best drink she's ever had, so of course I had to order to see for myself and it definitely did not disappoint! It was very sweet, which worked out as almost a dessert to finish our meal. Overall I highly recommend giving this place a try, I'm certain it will not disappoint! I end up ordering food yesterday for the very first time I sent my husband to go get my food and before he got out of the vehicle I seen a Spanish lady cleaning the floor and she let a Caucasian woman in and when my husband walked to the door, she looked at my husband and walked away from the door. A Brown skin lady had to come all the way from the kitchen, and she was in the kitchen cooking to open the door for my husband racism is disgusting. This is my absolute favorite brunch spot in Maryland. I used to go to the one in Timonium because it was right by my work. So once they opened the one down here in Glen Burnie, my heart did a million flips and danced the night away. I went with a friend after yoga class one Sunday and she loved it so much, we actually go here almost every week after yoga class! The decor is so beautiful here and you get very much of a farm vibe from here. The carrot cake pancakes will always be my favorite. It's so hard not to order it, but I have tried many other dishes off the menu. My 2nd favorite would have to be the Market Skillet Hash. It's so filling and comes with potatoes, egg, and toast with butter and jam on the side! Everything is all homemade here and I've never been a fan of jam, but it is pretty good here! My friend once got the french toast that came with some kind of strawberry preserve and THAT was amazing. I would ask for that over the jam that comes with your toast. They often have specials and they change it up every few weeks, and they have this cute large chalkboard on one of the walls that also list the specials along with some cool art and drawings of the food. They did the same at the Timonium location and I wonder if that's a skill quality they look for when hiring to make sure they have 1 person on staff who could always update that. Anyway, my 2nd favorite pancake flavor was on the specials once and I wish they would bring it permanently on the menu! If you ever see the Cinnamon Chip pancake, you must order it! It's basically a cinnamon bun in pancake format and without the frosting! That combined with the carrot cake pancake has heaven written all over it! I was hesitant at first because I thought the "chip" part meant chocolate chips, which I am not a fan of, but nope, it's literally chips of cinnamon pieces! Can you tell I really love this pancake? There was only one thing I ordered off the specials menu that I was not a fan of, and that was their vanilla chai pancakes. I'm a huge chai fan, but this came with banana cooked right into the pancake and I don't like fruit in my pancakes, but they haven't failed me here before so I gave it a go. Let's just say it was a waste of a meal and carbs in my body. I would never order that again. It came with almond butter drizzled on top, which seemed appealing, but it wasn't much. And I had to order a side of actual butter because who likes pancakes without any butter? Anyway, aside from that one meal, all the food has been amazing. They also often have different juice specials and you can actually ask for samples of these. And they have all been good! None of them tasted like dirt or like you're drinking the Earth, like some juices can. PRO TIP: Add yourself to the waitlist through Yelp 15 minutes before coming here because there is always a wait. I ordered coffee which was warm...not hot. #3. I ordered the ham and grocery, 2, I thought with fruit but was given their version of a salad, I may have made a mistake with the online order. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Frittatta which was quite small for the price and had a sauce on there that really wasnt necessary. Had I read correctly I would've stated no on the sauce. It was bland and just wasn't enough smoked salmon to the eggs ratio and there weren't any vegetables in there( guess they forgot to put in there). It's like an omelet but flatter like a pancake. I also order a purple haze it's like a lemonade but with lavender quite tasty but not worth the high price tag for this. The best part of this visit was the hostess. I definitely understand the hype around first watch. They've opened up so many locations in Maryland, you truly can't miss them! I've gone to the Laurel location before and this was my first time at Glen Burnie. First off I will say that the aesthetic is BEAUTIFUL! It's definitely a clean hipster type vibe. The prices are fairly reasonable too and they offer a lot of options, especially healthy options. I decided to be as basic as can be today and got the avocado toast and some donut holes. I mean you can't really go wrong with avocado toast, however, make sure you keep the salt and pepper nearby cause it does lack a little flavor. I think that's a common theme with the food, it's good but could use a little more flavor. I will say one of my favorite things I had today was the maple bacon (BOMB). I will definitely be getting that again! Overall, the service was amazing and I would love to check out other locations to see if it continues to live up to the hype :) read more

Just had breakfast here a few days ago after seeing it in the lowes parking lot often enough to warrant us trying it. We got sat immediately without a reservation after walking in around 11am. Greeted and brought waters quickly and placed order for their specialty drinks and coffee. When we ordered our 2 bowls for breakfast we were surprised how big they were. Definitely filling for our first meal of the day. Had a blueberry muffin with the one which was super tasty with the granulated sugar atop. Today was my first time at this First Watch. It's nothing like the one in Pikesville or Owings Mills! The hostess made us watch for almost 45 minutes for a booth and then said she forgot about it. The Eggs Benedict with Smoke Salmon I got had the worst presentation and just tiny. And, forget about a refill of the coffee carafe!! Bottom Line: Great breakfast and lunch selections and friendly service. I'm a First Watch fan so I am glad there is a new one in the area. At this location the decor is a nice a play on farming and the Chesapeake Bay. There are lots of hard services and high ceilings so I see the potential for it to get quite noisy in here but on a Sunday morning at 8am the noise level was average. My drinks of choice at breakfast are usually water and coffee so I like that First Watch brings out a cute glass bottle of water and a hole coffee carafe. As far as the menu goes, there are so many options from savory to classics to decadent sweets to healthy items. They also have specials and what is whay I decided upon today - a special with two eggs, chicken sausage and a pumpkin pancake. Ohh how I appreciate any spot where I can get a sweet and savory breakfast which is hard to find. I guess my only gripe is that my sister wanted a single pancake as a side to her entree and that single pancake cost almost $6. Yikes. Otherwise, I think prices are reasonable. Coffee cups are on the table when you first sit so you can get it fast and hot! I ordered a hash that was seasoned very well and did not have a lot of oil on the bottom. The serving was big and satisfying. I prefer a bit more meat in it because there were a lot of potatoes. Our waffle kids meal came out fluffy and hot! The bacon was crisp and hot too!
