Nice place for breakfast. Gets very busy on weekends so try to come here on a weekday morning if you can! There is a cute outdoor seating area with nice mountain views and palm trees. Everything in this part of town is almost brand new. I have tried two things on the menu avocado toast and the Super food bowl. Both were delicious! The Super food bowl is my favorite with coconut chia seed pudding and berries. It is served with toast with almond butter and sea salt. I like that they use local ingredients when possible. I've heard good things about this place and was so excited to try it, but I was really disappointed. The bad: *Waitress didn't come back for extremely long periods of time *Water jar was empty for what felt like a long time when 1/2 the party was only drinking water *waitress didn't give the whole table a chance to ask for anything so she only brought one condiment at a time *waitress dropped off the check and left before even asking if we needed boxes * we had to leave the table to go ask for a box because she never came back * card reader was down creating a 10 minute line to check out and leave * the cashier ran out of change and had to ask another staff in a panic to get some. * 1 person enjoyed their meal, 2 of us said it was fine but it didn't make us want to go there again and 1 person didn't like their meal. Portion sizes are a bit small * the staff seemed really stressed, maybe the management wasn't supporting them well The good: * it's decorated nice * we were seated pretty quick * coffee pots and water bottle on the tables are very convenient except when they don't get refIlled. Bottom line? I won't be going back or recommending this to others and I feel bad for some of the staff. read more

We love First Watch and try to get there every weekend for breakfast. Mary is our favorite server! She knows our orders by heart, is fast, friendly, efficient, and obviously takes pride in her work. The food here is good but the place is in disarray. The last two visits saw long delays to get seated while there were several empty tables, and then lengthy delays to get attended to. Today we waited 40 minutes. There were people queuing outside, people waiting to check in and people waiting to pay all while there were 4 empty tables and and empty booth that were empty for at least 15 minutes. Had it for the first time today and it was delicious! Highly recommend trying the chickichanga! Has chicken and choizo inside which was an awesome combo! I also had the wheat toast with a very generous amount of avocado on top! (I love avocado) and to top it off they have cholula hot sauce!! A big plus for me because I hate Tabasco hot sauce!! Have only had good experiences here. Food is always on point, it can get a little crazy during the weekends though. Expect a wait if you show up on a Saturday or Sunday morning. You can keep track of where you are in line via Yelp so usually we'll head off to Starbucks to grab a cup of coffee and chill. Gave the restaurant a second chance, and the experience was so much better. We got our food quickly and it was still hot, like it had just came out of the oven. I don't know if the company will actually read these reviews but they need to get their act together over here on Happy Valley. Half empty restaurant with a 30 minute wait on a Saturday morning makes no sense. If it was full I would get it completely ( I'm not that customer ).Food is ALWAYS inconsistent. I have been there and received great customer service but the second time I went there was horrible. We were there for about an hour, was sat down outside and our waitress was poor. It took forever to get our drinks and we were waiting so long that it even took long to get refills. About an hour later the waitress came over to say that they 'lost' our ticket and that our food had not even been cooked yet! Despite many times she came over saying it will be right out, and silly me thinking she was actually checking on our food- she wasn't. I was so appalled by this service that we just chose to leave and proceeded to call the manager on our way to eat somewhere else. This was unacceptable service that our food was never prepared in the hour we were there. I will never be back to this location. read more

This is a reliable place for bfast in the north valley. What i like most is that it is not all syrup and batter-- they have healthy options as well. This is my favorite brunch spot, and I come almost every weekend. The food is consistently good and the servers are friendly and prompt. However, things have declined over the last month. You have to wait a long time to get checked in and one of the people that check you acts like she's really bothered to have to do it or to seat you at all. My boyfriend and I go here almost every Saturday. The wait staff are all friendly and recognize us. The service is fast, precise, and friendly. They talk to you just enough and leave you be once you're satisfied. I love the food and they are very accommodating for substitutions. I haven't tried everything because I've found the Farmhouse skillet is my favorite and I have a hard time trying anything else! But I have had the avocado toast as well and it's delicious (hard to mess up). They have simple ingredients, not a huge menu, and great coffee and juice. It's a really relaxing atmosphere! read more

We have been to this location 2 or three times and each time we figure we will give it one more chance. Well today the food took foooorrrever.... the eggs Benedict were terribly over cooked and they kept putting steaming hot plates of food directly in front of our 13-month old. I feel like they were short some servers, but it seems to be the trend. We did politely notify management but they didn't seem terribly concerned nor did they offer any fix. Literally the worst service from a first watch. I normally go to the one on 83rd and 101 which I will continue to go to. Melinda was probably the rudest waitress I've ever had, rolling her eyes at myself and my 2 other mama friends with little babies. We felt so uncomfortable and unwanted just because we had babies with us. Great food will always love the food, but I've never encountered someone (mind you I'm 24 and she was in her late 50s maybe) around my moms age to be so rude to another mama with a baby. Kelsey dropped off our check without saying anything, before even getting to take a bite and still missing some of our food, didn't check in or ask how anything was, as well as the menu said my food came with 3 tacos, and she gave me two because I switched from corn to flour, but I was unaware I would be getting less food from switching tortillas, would've ordered something else. This was our first time trying First Watch. The food was pretty good, but the breakfast potatoes were extremely salty. I mean, so salty that I physically couldn't eat them in a bite by themselves. I had to mix them with something else, in order to make them edible (and I am typically a salt person). My boyfriend is not a salt person, so he pushed them aside altogether. We arrived about 35 minutes prior to closing, so our server was more interested in getting the restaurant cleaned and ready to leave, rather than serving us. Drinks sat empty for an extended period of time and he didn't check in much, but he was friendly. I suspect that the experience might have been better, earlier in the day. Overall, a pretty good meal and we will give it another try. read more

For the money, this was a very poor breakfast. Eggs were way overcooked, sausage was really bad made from chicken or something.

Food is a 4 and service is a 2. Recommend avoiding weekends. Also had to ask for avocado that was in the description of the dish.
