We have been going here for 3 years. Great food, great service. My 85 year old Dad eats there 3 or 4 times a week. The staff always treats him so great. Every time we come to Arizona to visit family, we also visit this location. The food is amazing (I'm not a bacon person but my husband gets the million dollar bacon every time) with generous portion sizes. We have been to this location several times as it is close to our home and it's really good food. Although after our recent encounter with a common waitress we have had several times I had to do a review. We have had Mary several times and after the first I have never wanted her again, she is rude, always interrupts if you are with a group and just seems like her overall moral of being a waitress is extremely low. We took two friends with us to breakfast and when I saw she was going to be our waitress I almost asked for someone new but we went through breakfast and sure enough the same attitude, and lack of interest went throughout the entire meal. Then towards the end she seems to take notice that we aren't receptive to her lack of enthusiasm and tries to turn it around. At the end of the day I'm all about you having a bad day but after several visits it's hard to not write a review, if your unhappy with being in the service industry then there are plenty of other positions to accommodate you. read more

I've repeatedly tried to like this place since they changed their name from Good Egg and also changed their menu. Went there this morning and had the Power Wrap. Service was slow and food was extremely dry. Most items on the menu seem to be over a thousand calories and just don't appeal to me. Omelettes and traditional breakfast seems to have been purposely left off the menu. Since the place was virtually empty, I have to presume that others are agreeing with my evaluation of the First Watch experience. I won't be back!! read more

Literally the best breakfast I've had in months. Lauren (sp?) was a great server and the food was delicious.

We ordered the ham and cheese sandwich and we got the works omelet instead, we sent it back and then got the same exact omelet the second time. Once we sent those both back we finally got the sandwich. After getting the sandwich the second meal was already cold and the sandwich was barely warm. Only nice thing was that we didn't have to pay for the mistake. Definitely won't be coming back. read more

My favorite west valley breakfast spot! Definitely try the Kale tonic! It's sweet and refreshing and delicious! I love the smoked salmon frittata with the breakfast potatoes!! 3rd time here. They were very busy, (9 am Sat morning) so we waited about 15 minutes. After being rushed to a table that was still damp from being wiped down, I immediately noted that the silverware and glasses were horribly water spotted and dirty with fingerprints. The coffee mugs were far worse with sticky syrup and lipstick smudges. When the server finally showed up, I pointed it out, and she took our drink order and then hastily grabbed them and later came back with cleaner(?) glasses and mugs. The water glass smelled of the chemical used in the dishwasher. We weren't ready to order, which appeared to irritate the server even more. She left and returned about 10 minutes later, which was simply way too long to wait. I ordered an advertised special and my wife ordered a standard menu item with some changes. When they arrived, I noted mine did not look like the advertised item and was missing some ingredients. I had to wait about 8 minutes before I could flag down our server, who had yet to come by to ask if everything was to our liking. When she did finally show up after waving at her, I asked if my order was supposed to include additional ingredients and she immediately left and brought back the missing part. No apology was given, nor was there any suggestion to replace with a fresh and warm meal or the offer to remove it from our ticket. However, she did blame it on the person who brought the meal out. I requested that she remove it from our ticket, which she did. There was never an apology given. The cashier asked rotely how our meal was but did not wait for, nor seemed interested in a reply. It is quite evident that the restaurant management and staff were unprepared for increased business (first day of the month - after a payday - and a direct mailer had been sent out... really?) and EVERY employee there (wait and kitchen) were poorly trained by management and ill-prepared to handle the increased business properly and professionally. In my previous experiences, the food has been exceptional, prepared and served correctly. That is the reason for the two stars. If I were a first-time customer, I would have given a one-star rating. I hope they get their act together as I do like the quality of their food. We will see..... read more

This is USUALLY our routine Sunday breakfast spot my husband and I attend. However this past Sunday was the worst experience I have ever had!! We use the waitlist which is suppose to alert them we are in our way (granted we literally live two minutes away!) therefore the wait time won't be as long.. it's a lie! My husband and I arrive stand in front of the hostess for TWO MINUTES before she acknowledges us. She starts to argue with another coworker in who will check us in! It literally takes a second! Then we are told the wait time is 20 minutes! We waited for almost an HOUR! They literally sat everyone who arrive after us before us! Finally we are seated and the restaurant is empty! Breakfast is the easiest to make and serve yet, my eggs, potatoes, toast and bacon were cold. Our server didn't do the usual 5-10min follow-up to make sure I was happy with my meal...so I just sat there...when server did come back, she didn't remove my meal from the bill. Nice place for breakfast. Gets very busy on weekends so try to come here on a weekday morning if you can! There is a cute outdoor seating area with nice mountain views and palm trees. Everything in this part of town is almost brand new. I have tried two things on the menu avocado toast and the Super food bowl. Both were delicious! The Super food bowl is my favorite with coconut chia seed pudding and berries. It is served with toast with almond butter and sea salt. I like that they use local ingredients when possible. The bad: *Waitress didn't come back for extremely long periods of time *Water jar was empty for what felt like a long time when 1/2 the party was only drinking water *waitress didn't give the whole table a chance to ask for anything so she only brought one condiment at a time *waitress dropped off the check and left before even asking if we needed boxes * we had to leave the table to go ask for a box because she never came back * card reader was down creating a 10 minute line to check out and leave * the cashier ran out of change and had to ask another staff in a panic to get some. * 1 person enjoyed their meal, 2 of us said it was fine but it didn't make us want to go there again and 1 person didn't like their meal. Portion sizes are a bit small * the staff seemed really stressed, maybe the management wasn't supporting them well The good: * it's decorated nice * we were seated pretty quick * coffee pots and water bottle on the tables are very convenient except when they don't get refIlled. Bottom line? I won't be going back or recommending this to others and I feel bad for some of the staff. read more
