Went to Sunday breakfast there on February 13, 2022 with my wife. The food was good as usual - that is the good news. The service was horrid. We sat and waited a very long time to give our drink (coffee) order. After finishing my coffee, I asked for additional creamer as they use the tiny plastic creamers. After waiting over 20 minutes and not seeing our server, I reached over the barrier and took the bowl of creamers from another table. Now there are 16 creamers, two small cups that contained catsup and jelly on our table with the plates, now empty. No one came to clear the table. Sadly, the tip reflected the poor service. As customers, the two ways we can vote is with our wallet and with our feet. This was a wallet vote. Cannot justify an 18% tip, he got much less. We like the restaurant, the food is good; in this case we got a bad server. Better training and a focus on the customer is needed badly. So I went there with me and my five kids I thought mine was really good I got the chickichanga all of the potatoes we got were undercooked. I thought the iced coffee were more ice than coffee. Today I decided to have something different and ordered the oatmeal. It was absolutely amazing it What served warm and came topped with Fresh strawberry and banana Pieces. It's also served with the little ramican of brown sugar as well as a little bit of milk. The oatmeal is great on its own and does not really need any milk at all. It's also served with the fresh muffin on the side. Oatmeal isn't something I would usually order in a restaurant but I'm glad I took a chance. Highly recommend! Wow. I'm very surprised they don't have full stars on Yelp because my experience on the countless times I've been to First Watch, especially the Happy Valley location, has been spectacular. The servers are beyond friendly and are attentive. You just want to be friends with all of them... The food is amazing every time I go and it's always in great portions (they add potatos or fruit to almost everything). YUM. I am seriously never disappointed! As the day progressed, 3 out of 5 of us (whom hadn't previously seen one another for over 2 weeks) who ate here for breakfast became incredibly sick, one being a toddler who was nearly brought to the hospital for severe dehydration after throwing up over 20 times in 2 hours. I've eaten here before and never had an issue with the food making us sick, but this time was enough to deter us from coming back for a while. Unsure if food safety standards weren't upheld or if it was just a bad batch of eggs that was used, but I can't say this'll be on the top of our list to return to. First Watch is one of my favorite breakfast spots but let me tell you, today we stopped in and I was prepared to order my usual Kale Tonic and Breakfast Hash but our wonderful server Emerald supported my decision to try their seasonal items instead. I had the Barbacoa Breakfast Tacos which were bursting with flavor and the black beans (!!!) we're stellar and well cooked. Brunch is on! And with that, we were off to - "First Watch", a restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona. We were seated immediately at which our drink orders were taken. I, ordered the Traditional Breakfast, served were two "cage free" eggs over easy, bacon perfectly cooked, seasoned potatoes, and a full grain toast, with real butter,...thank you, I am so totally against margarine, aka fake butter - gross! The other order was the Avocado Toast, with a side of bacon. The side was generous, three slices and again, the bacon was perfectly cooked! Each slice of toast was loaded with avocado and again, very generously loaded. They offer, Million Dollar Bacon, how is this? I know their normal version of bacon is amazing, but I can't even imagine it being even better! But this, I will be back to try. The regular bacon is already to die for. If you have not been to this restaurant, it is a must! The staff were extremely professional and engaging. Engaging is a plus for me. Now, the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. This is probably the best pancake that I have ever had. Made with adding whipped ricotta to the batter. The lemon flavor was perfect, it was as if eating a lemon cake, very flavorful, but not overpowering with sweetness, which I love. We eat at First Watch often and normally it's a good breakfast. Today, must have been an off day. The place wasn't busy yet because it was early Saturday morning. Our server was very pleasant. When our food came- and it was quickly, it's was barely warm. My husband sent his biscuits & gravy back due to it being cold. They brought another that was warmer- but, my husband said the biscuits were stale or something because they were hard. I had the Belgian Waffle which was good and the special bacon. But, both were barely warm. When we were checking out with the cashier they asked how it was- when we stated that we were disappointed in our breakfast.
