We've been to multiple first watch locations and have always loved it because the food is always good. This is a new location near our house so we were unsure if we wanted to go while it was so new or wait til a few weeks later. We went on a Friday and were seated easily. First time back at first watch since Cove it there food is very good and tasty and the portions are more than generous. My only complaint is I find their prices to be slightly high especially when you go there for a brunch. I can't think of anything negative to say about this restaurant other than if you have a big party you'll have a long wait because the place is usually really packed. Came in and was told there was an hour, after seeing everyone get a table, a party of six walked in and ask how long was the wait and didn't check in previously, there were sited, I asked and was told because I was put for a wait of 1.5 hours I still had to wait 30 minutes. I love First Watch and am so excited to have a location closer to my house! The food is impeccable almost every time. The menu is pretty big (literally) with a wide selection of both breakfast and lunch items. It is obvious the ingredients are always fresh and also delicious. I attended the soft-opening at the Glendale location and expected a wait, but was seated right away. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. I would not recommend coming to this location, this was also our first time ever trying to eat at a First Watch. When we got here they told us a 20 minute wait, which did not seem right by how many people were waiting. we watched group after group be sat and watched more and more people check in. We went to ask where we were at after 40 minutes they said we were 8th. Which made no sense. We went back in to make sure they didn't mix us up with another group and now was being told we were next. Again, at least 3 big groups were sat before us after being told we were next. So it seems he was dishonest about what place we were in. Now we are at an hour of waiting. We do not mind waiting, but the dishonesty of the staff was ridiculous! I honestly think since we were only two people they were wanting to sit the bigger parties over us as we saw people check in after VW sat before us. Someone made a mistake and probably totally forgot about us so the excuses came. Either way we won't be back. read more

Absolutely delicious. I ordered the chicken pesto quinoa bowl. Everything on the menu looks so good. Everything on the menu looks healthy and not absurdly loaded with calories. You can't go wrong. I found this spot by accident. I'm happy I decided to stop in and give it a try. The staff was friendly. The menu has lots of options to choose from. I ordered the Chikichanga, and it came out hot fresh and delicious. The breakfast potatoes were cooked to perfection. Today, I went for breakfast with my daughter as we do about 1x a month. We LOVE the Million Dollar Bacon ($5.99). We joined the call ahead at 730, arrived at 8 and we were seated upon check in. We then sat at least 5 min before a female server came to our table. We ordered a hot coffee (the one served in a carafe) & an iced coffee & the Million Dollar Bacon. The bacon & iced coffee arrived without the hot coffee. Bacon served LUKE WARM. A few minutes passed, then I flagged down a female who appeared to be in mgmt. I learned she's the GM. I told her I'm waiting on my coffee. Several minutes later, our server arrived with my coffee. As she poured my coffee,I said, " I don't expect to pay for my coffee or the bacon. The coffee arrived very late and the Bacon arrived Luke warm". She offered to replace the bacon and I declined. She also responded to say " I'm sorry I have other tables too" I replied to her and said "I don't want to hear your excuses, that's the job". Several other things went wrong including the later identified GM not ever apologizing or taking ownership for our experience. The young lady at the check out area who helped me pay our bill listened to me, took ownership and felt bad having me pay at all. We did not get charged for both coffees and bacon. She said she's an OM and she acknowledged that the GM should have handled it differently. As a gesture this OM provided me 4x $2 off coupon cards to use on future visits. To the young lady who I upset, I apologize and to the GM, I hope this reminds you that taking ownership of a customer/guests poor experience is important and vital for your business. Communication up front would have ELIMINATED the ENTIRE bad experience. The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because of the OM who helped close out the experience. read more

Wait wasn't too bad but the service was lacking. Our waitress Celeste, never checked up on us but was sure to bring the check. Though she was serving the table next to us, she never checked on us when we got our food or asked if we needed anything. Ordered "the works" omelette and when it came the potatoes weren't cooked and the omelette itself was dry and crispy. There was little to no cheese and the fillings weren't folded into the eggs, they were just thrown inside the eggs and folded over. Personally when I order an omelette I'd expect to filling to cooked with the eggs and not thrown in like a taco. The onions weren't cooked or peeled well, and the ham was barely seared. The food runners were the best part, they're the ones who brought us refills and checked up on us not our waitress. At the end when Celeste brought the check I informed her that I wanted to send my meal back and she responded that, I could take it io with the front and her manager to get a discount since I didn't eat it, and smirked.... then promptly left... No regard to my concern. I was able to waive down the manager who was extremely apologetic and helpful and provided resolution to the food issue. read more

I've had Yelp basically only to view a restaurants history since I myself am in the industry, this is maybe the second time I've written a review and I am doing so in the hopes that it is taken into serious consideration. We often have out-of-town guests and our preferred breakfast site for our guests is always F-W, as we were driving there I'm teasing my guests about what I know they want, the pancakes! We were ALL quite disappointed as these were served, visually when you are served and it's gone from a size that covers the entire plate to much smaller size, psychologically it messes with ones expectations. As I told our waitress whom confirmed various complaints about this, "I would NEVER do that to my customers I'd much rather raise my price point". We did not ask for it but these were removed from our bill, it would have been much more profitable for the business to have had them re-made and we would have been satisfied and NOT writing this now. We actually left the store saying "this may of very possibly have been our LAST First Watch". 49 years in the industry and such things have been suggested to me by management NEVER, have I agreed. My customers will ALWAYS get what they are used to. Also, the new Birria Tacos as shown on your poster these are supposed to be grilled with the Birria Stew and that was NOT the case. The Birria Stew was just poured on top. First Watch (to this point) in my opinion had a great reputation, when I discovered F-W in TX, that was my go-to as well.
