Take note though, reservations are welcomed during the Week Days only and it's first come first serve on Weekends. We were a party of 8 and we were seated within 15 minutes. The Manager was Awesome for making this happen! We told our waitress Abby that we had 2 Birthdays to Celebrate and she said, "I got you!" We proceeded to order Agua Fresca and sodas. The Agua Fresca we ordered was the Jamaica, Horchata and Virgin Piña Colada and they came in cute Mini Jarritos (little jugs) and they were all so refreshing and delicious! For the food, we ordered the Molcajete Poca Madre, Parrillada para Dos (includes carne asada, chicken, shrimp, chorizo, bacon wrapped peppers, grilled green onions and guacamole), Fajitas de Camaron, Loaded Nachos, Chicken Flautas, California Burrito, Birria Tacos and Enchiladas Rojas! The entrees all come with a side of chorizo beans, rice, salsa, guacamole and 6 mini flour tortillas or 3 Corn (these are huge). The food was served within 30 minutes, but prior to being served, we were brought Tri-Color (Mexican Flag colors of Red, White & Green) chips and salsa. All the food and desserts are authentic Mexican cuisine and are made in house, from scratch and made to order! We all got to taste Everything that was ordered and it was DELICIOUS!! The pictures of our food do not give it justice! The portions are huge, the shrimp in the fajitas were Jumbo, the carne asada was clean, the chicken was juicy and all the sides were deliciously seasoned! There was so much food, that we took home 7 containers of leftovers. Afterwards, Abby and friends brought over Mexican sombreros for the Birthday boy and girl to wear and then it was a Paaaaaarty!!! They also got a Free Tres Leches slice of cake after the entire restaurant sang "Happy Birthday"! We are definitely coming back next time for Brunch! The food is great, but the music they play both inside and outside is way too loud for anyone to have a conversation. This may be OK for dinner, but we were having brunch with my older parents, and they sat next to each other, and could not hear each other, let alone hear us. Indicated that they would not come back because of the very loud music, which saddened me because again, the food is good. I would recommend that they at least lower the volume until late evening dinner or even better if they'd offer the outdoor patio to be low volume, and I mean very low volume music and folks can choose whether they want to sit inside and be blasted with music, or sit outside and be a little bit more comfortable if that's their preference. I don't get me wrong, the music selection is great for me, but I honestly could see a lot of other folks around us in the outside patio at noon brunch that were struggling to converse with each other. However, while the interior decor is beautiful and the patio has full coverings from the sun, the food and service were lacking. The wait time for the food was roughly 30 minutes. We were there for brunch. My eggs came out hard which is overcooked from the over easy I requested. Hash browns were disgusting. Like they were cooked in old oil. We sat there for some time before the server came back to give us the check. I think standard good service is picking up the empty plates when dropping off the check. Decided to try this place with my sister. We saw reviews were good so we gave it a shot. Hostess made the experience seem chaotic and didn't know what she needed to do. We waited around 30 mins to be seated. I will say service wasn't the best. We didn't get a server until another server saw we were at the table without anyone attending us. It took about 10 mins to get beverages to the table. We had ordered an appetizer but did not come out for a while. Our food came out in about 30ish minutes. I ordered the chilaquiles with carne asada. I will say $20 for this plate was good but the taste I didn't like. The food was like warm and made it taste off. We also had ordered menudo shooters and I also didn't like the flavor it had a weird taste to me. Ambiance was good but the servers seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. One thing I noticed was the chef coming out and bringing the food to the tables which I thought was off. I don't think I've ever seen that. I noticed some Tesla charging ports in the entrance but were not operational and the staff told me the management is working g with the shipping center management to get them operational. We were seated sooner than expected. The ambiance and decor is very classy and inviting. Music keeps the vibes going I did notice everything very clean. Food is ok nothing special, had the menudo it was $18 for a medium size bowl with some seasoning and lime it was decent, definitely not worth the $18 better off going to food city. Holy crap on a cracker! What a crap show. So excited to try this new restaurant, but what a disappointment. I will never return. The restaurant was freezing. They refused to close the patio, stating that it would not unlock and that people would be trapped outside. Because of this, we were freezing throughout our meal, and our food went cold within minutes of being served. Originally, we ordered iced mocha lattes that came out tasting like watered-down chocolate milk, 30 minutes after ordering, we received them. We returned this drink and got black coffee instead, which was barely recognizable as coffee; it tasted like warm tap water. We ordered an espresso martini that took 45 minutes to arrive, and it wasn't creamy. It was watered down. There was no espresso flavor. The Chilaquiles were ordered with Carne Asada and red and green sauce. It came out cold and congealed. My dining partner ordered a single pancake to go along with this. The pancake came out cold. The syrup was not warmed up. The butter was so cold that it could not even spread on the pancake. I ordered the Birria grilled cheese, which came with a cone and a bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapeño. This was the only part of the meal that either one of us enjoyed. The manager who spoke with us gave the impression that it was our fault for being uncomfortable with how poor the service was, the food quality, and the restaurant's temperature, even though other customers were complaining and changing tables. We really tried to give this place a fair chance despite the disappointing service and long wait. At first, I was impressed by the restaurant itself and the variety on the menu. Unfortunately, it took over an hour for our food to arrive, and when it did, we were served the wrong items. There were only two of us, yet larger parties around us received their meals first and appeared to have correct orders. The table next to us experienced similar issues, which made the situation even more frustrating. The food itself did not meet expectations, especially for the price point, and we still did not receive everything we had ordered. We had to repeatedly flag down our server to ask about missing items. At one point, I even asked for the menu so we could clarify what we were supposed to be served, as it seemed there was confusion about the dishes. I remained polite and understanding, because my concern is never about the cost, but about receiving what I ordered and ensuring the team is knowledgeable about the menu. The photos make the food look amazing, and when it arrived it looked great, but that's where it ended. The birria queso tacos had a strange flavor, and the consommé tasted like watered-down canned tomato soup. The biggest disappointment was the ribeye. It tasted like salt and little else. The melted butter helped, but a good steak shouldn't rely on butter for flavor. It's also more expensive than some steakhouses while giving you less. The loaded potato was bland too. I've had similar potatoes from all the berto's restaurant that tasted just as good. The restaurant itself could have been cleaner, with food left on several seats. I visited twice, first for breakfast and then for lunch. On my second visit, I ordered pozole, but I was quite disappointed. It didn't have enough hominy, and it wasn't fully cooked. There was a fair amount of meat, though. Pozole is traditionally served with cabbage, radishes, not onion, and cilantro--that's for menudo. On the bright side, the flavor was good. The decor was absolutely beautiful and the plating presentation was unique and added to the menu experience. You can tell a lot of thought and consideration went into the design, menu, presentation and food and they knocked it ALL out of the park! The only thing that was a little weird, was it was 'seat yourself' when we walked in but there's no sign or staff to tell you that so it was a little awkward at first but once we sat down, the staff were quick to come over and get us started. This place is brand new and not a chain. The staff is getting up to speed here, but I will say for a new place they are doing a solid job. You may need a little patience while they get their footing but that should be expected. Everyone I came in contact with had a welcoming smile and was super friendly even if they still need a little time to learn the large menu. The food I have to say is absolutely outstanding. The tortillas are home made. The Chimichanga is huge. The Birria tasty. My only recommendation is a little larger container for salsa to go with the chips. My experience here was so much better than Barrio Queen. Let's face it, this part of town has a ton of Mexican restaurants to choose from and so far this is the best I've had out this way. It's a fantastic addition to not only The Blvd, but all of Avondale. The bar is nice and the patio is a great place to hang out. The Birria tacos were good but don't come with anything for $20 and tasted like french toast they cooked it on the same grill they had just made French toast on. The green juice was good. They didn't offer water or chips and salsa. Not sure if you have to ask for those or not. The service leaves a bit to be desired. You feel like you are there for them not the other way around. I asked for my check and my waitress sat over there for five minutes on her phone and talking with the other waitresses. Overall, the place is a little loud and feels like a knock off of Hash Kitchen rather than its own concept. Very gimmicky. The menu is a bit all over the place. There's not a defined difference between the brunch menu and the dinner menu besides a couple breakfast menu items, but there is a hard stop between the two at 3 PM and a few of the appetizers that they probably should serve all day are only served after 3 PM.
