Not the best experience at First Watch. We were able to get on the waitlist through their app which saved us a lot of time but once we got seated and the staff took our order it took about another 20-30 minutes for our food to come in. Once the food was served, my egg benedict was hard boiled and not poached like it should be. Our other egg dish was also well done and not over easy like requested. I was greeted by Tiffany. She is the host today and not serving tables. She was very courteous and greeted everyone at the door, which made the experience great. My server Jamie was good as well. The only thing I wish she did was make a recommendation. I tried the biscuits and gravy today and $1 million bacon. The bacon itself is not my cup of tea. They were out of the signature blueberry cornbread at 11am on a Thursday. Eggs are not being cooked properly. No refills on drinks nor check in after meals arrived. Terrible service! I will definitely update this in a month or two after they iron out their wrinkles as I would hope to see improvements on the service more so than the food by then. Unfortunately we were seated right by the hostess stand and maybe he was the manager kept placing his elbow on the rail right next to my husbands face which made him feel confined. (There was an empty table right next to us) I ordered the breakfast wrap with fruit which was great, loved the cromini mushrooms! My hubby had the 1/2 and 1/2, roast beef sandwich was good but the Cobb salad was just ok. Lettuce was not crispy. But definitely do not skip on the million dollar bacon - bomb! Sweet and crispy! We needed refills on our pico de gallo and ranch which we had to request from another waitress because ours was nowhere to be seen. 11:30am, 23/12. After 30+ minute wait (fine by us), this was the experience: Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. Dry (crumbly--need water within reach dry). Companions had a taste and agreed. The appeal to try the other pancake flavors next time evaporated. The Lemon curd-like condiment, however, was nice--if I had a bowl of just that, I would have been perfectly satisfied. Barbacoa Chilaquiles Bowl. The bowl was drenched with an overpoweringly tart ranchero sauce. Was it lime or vinegar--couldn't tell but it literally made me pucker and do the head shake--not for dramatic purposes. The tortilla chips were not as expected. They appeared "store bought" lacking the distinctive taste of freshly-fried corn tortilla pieces. If the chips were baked instead of fried, given that First Watch promotes itself as a healthier dining option, I can overlook this issue. The chips were fine for other dips, just not for chilaquiles. And I should have read the description better so it's on me, but I was disappointed that it was served with a scrambled egg and not with a twosome of over-easy fried eggs; chilaquiles is traditionally enjoyed with a runny yolk. Side of beans were good. My friends had their own complaints with their dishes but they'll just have to yelp their issues on their own. As for service, we needed to flag our server down for water because we weren't checked on for a long while after our dishes were served. Will we give First Watch another go? For now, considering the price of breakfast these days and to be as disappointed as we were, we'll be driving another 4 miles to stick to our tried-and-true, Cafe du Val, until another breakfast/brunch place opens up in the area with our fingers crossed. *long sigh* read more

I visited this place for the first time with my son. He specifically asked for wheat toast instead of multigrain, but they still served him multigrain. We also ordered different drinks and a pancake, and the server kept forgetting parts of our order. When my son finally took a bite of his toast, we realized it was multigrain. He ended up getting sick and throwing up in the bathroom because he's allergic to sunflower seeds. I had to leave right away to give him Benadryl. I currently need to use a walker due to post surgery recovery and the host was very considerate, she even walked my wife over to the section we would be seated to ensure it would be manageable. My family and I decided to try First Watch this morning because we've heard great things, but we were sadly disappointed. We were sat on the patio which is beautifully decorated and dog friendly. We didn't receive menus upon being seated, our cocktails took 10 minutes which were pre bottled and just needed to be poured over ice, and we did not receive water until after our food arrived. Service was very poor. There were a few times when there were no servers helping tables on the patio whatsoever for over 5 minutes. My food was actually the saving grace minus the potatoes. I ordered the bacon egg breakfast sandwich which was delicious and asked for breakfast potatoes but to my distaste they were undercooked and hard. My husband ordered steak and eggs which were tasty as well but again the potatoes were undercooked and hard. I found out about this place when I went to Utah and was pleasantly surprised they were opening some locations here in LV. The flavors of the food are amazing, my go to breakfast is the biscuits and gravy sometimes I substitute for the million dollar potatoes!! It's so hard to mess up breakfast food but this place managed to do it. I've never eaten at a breakfast place and disliked everything I tried. They were out of the cornbread that day, yet a standalone flyer at each table advertises it. Why not draw less attention to it and remove the signage? Server even said "so many people were disappointed today." Server asks if we're ready to order less than a minute after being sat. When we weren't, she seemed annoyed and took her sweet time coming back to us. She brought us our food after some time but no utensils. We asked for some, she agreed and came back a few minutes later, set it down without saying anything. She just seemed unenthused/annoyed. Ordered a classic: biscuits with turkey gravy, poached eggs and potatoes. Everything on the plate was BLAND - eggs were over cooked, barely any meat in the gravy, potatoes were soft but tasteless and the biscuit was cold. This entree was just sad. There are multiple breakfast/brunch spots within a mile or 2 of this place that are significantly better. Last week I went to Ihop to pass some time while getting my tires done off Decatur. It was not a very nice part of town, the waiter was having a hard time breathing, the place was a ghost town. I felt like I needed a bulletproof vest and a tetanus shot just to be in the restaurant. The food was expensive and not at all tasty. They had several items that weren't available and I told my son I will never go to Ihop again, but between Ihop and this First Watch I had a few days ago. I would probably go back to Ihop. read more

Understandable first opening week. Waited approximately 20 minutes to be sat. Server was strange. Kept coming over but leaving I did get a coffee out of it. But not my milk. Finally I believe either a head server or manager came and took our order. She was nice and knew what she was doing but the server was very pushy and brash . We weren't even half done eating and brought pour check and tried to explain how we can pay on our phones. I don't want to hear about paying my bill in the middle of eating my food. So thumbs down for service. Food was tasty but like warm eggs benny were well done. Not runny at all . Tres leeches French toast average not hot at all and were the tres leches was I could not find. Pretty pricey for what we got. We will try it again when they get their eggs in one basket. Maybe will be better. Also tell your servers to not touch the guests it's not professional and irritating. Unfortunately Las Vegas is so saturated with places to eat and choices of places to eat that when we went to first watch on eastern on Sunday it was not all that. The potatoes weren't finished they had that like weird hard gritty taste feeling to it. We were able to walk in and sit down right away the staff was very friendly it just doesn't really stand out. I live closer to the Stephanie store and the Stephanie store was still not open they open on Monday which is also confusing why wouldn't you open the same day as Smith's opens since you're in the same parking lot. In this economy if it's not Peppermill or coffee cup in Boulder city or maybe another handful of places I'll be cooking my breakfast at home. read more

We came to First Watch today on opening weekend, and it was honestly the best breakfast I've ever had -- but what truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Desiree. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the entire menu. She explained each dish in detail, helped us choose the perfect items, and her recommendations were spot on -- especially the Benedict with the bright, lemony hollandaise and the fresh-squeezed juices. Everything was delicious, but her service is what made the meal unforgettable. Even with the opening-day rush and a whole training team watching her every move, she remained positive, professional, and kind. I could see how much pressure she was under, yet she handled everything with such grace and enthusiasm. That kind of attitude is rare and deserves to be recognized. Despite the restaurant being very busy and the team understandably prioritizing larger tables, our drinks arrived after we were already more than halfway through our meal, which is unusual for us, as we do not eat quickly and ordered the drinks first. While our assigned hostess was consistently busy, Saida, who was not our server, truly stood out. She checked in on us multiple times, cleared our plates promptly once we were finished, and even made sure a drink refill we had requested--but hadn't yet received was ready for us as we paid the bill. Saida has a remarkable way of making you feel like family. It felt less like restaurant service and more like being cared for by a family member who genuinely wants to make sure your needs are met. Her warmth, attentiveness, and initiative made a lasting impression and completely elevated our experience. As for food, we ordered The Biscuits and Gravy, The Works Omelette, a Kale Tonic, and Blackberry Iced Tea. The drinks were refreshing and well made.
