Walked in this morning for breakfast with my family and was immediately greeted by a gentleman name Josh with an outstanding personality. We felt welcomed upon entry our waitress wasn't the friendliest not sure her name but she wasn't rude but not friendly smiling and welcoming. Food was great we will definitely be returning the young lady seating people the gentlemen at front and the cashier definitely gave a great first impression upon entering. This chain was highly recommended to me but alas, the reality was not worth the trouble. There were so many issues it's hard to know where to start. We had to ask for silverware and napkins which didn't arrive until after we'd received our long-expected food order. Part of our breakfast was cold. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to have a one-course Sunday brunch. Waitress kept wanting to take away our plates and interrupting us to ask, until she'd taken away so many plates we were without silverware to finish our meal. And, be VERY careful if you need to eat gluten-free. I had to return first the toast, which was clearly not gluten-free, and then even the other diner's sandwich arrived on the wrong bread. (By this point, we'd waited a very long time and had had several conversations with the waitress about the gluten-free issue, the level of allergy and the issue of cross-contamination.) First watch, love this place! Overall the food is pretty dependable and delicious regardless of which location we go to, and that's wonderful! We're so happy to have one closer to home now. Our only complaint is that while the service is friendly, everyone's super Sweet, they aren't super efficient or attentive. Drinks go unfilled, some of us are getting our food while others are waiting til we're half done with ours, and somehow our server disappears for long periods of time. Not Sure if it's understaffed or there's other issues, but hopefully that part gets sorted, because we love the breakfast in this nice bright atmosphere! read more

I've never been to a First Watch restaurant, so I assumed it was going to be similar to Panera. I decided to go with my husband yesterday and we were both pleasantly surprised. The place was clean, bright, and cheerful, and the service was friendly and prompt. My husband ordered one of the skillet hashes and I tried their tri-fecta plate. I liked that I could upgrade my pancake at no additional charge, so I tried the banana granola multigrain pancake, which was delicious. I thought the prices were competitive with Denny's and IHOP and the portions were satisfying. It's nice having a place like this in Hollywood and I'm looking forward to going back. read more

So this is my second time in this location and I will say the food is always good but service needs a lot of improvement. They take the order and pretty much forget your there, it took us forever to get water after they took our meal, and forgot a drink I requested to come with my meal. Half of our table got food while the others waited 10 minutes before we finally got ours. 10 minutes later they brought my friends pancake he order. Once we were done we watched the servers walk around as while we just sat there. The waitress finally came and for the first time seem happy as she dropped off the check. Our "20 minutes" wait for our party of 3 was actually 55 minutes during which time others that checked in after us and stood by hostess were seated. The server took our beverage order immediately and 5 min later took our food order. Then we had another 40 minute wait until all 3 had their meal. This place is amazing from their prices, service, creative menu, and quality food. Something that sticks out right away is that it's not greasy and oily breakfast / Brunch items. Usually restaurants that serve this type of food you will feel disgusting after your done eating, but NOT this place. I recommend their elevated egg sandwich and their avocado toast with egg. However, I do wish they had barista bar for fresh lattes and cappuccinos, that would Really put other places out Of business. This place has a great menu with a lot of options for breakfast and lunch. The service is great but the wait time to get a table could be long depending on the day. We've been there twice, first on a Thursday and fell in love, got seated right away and then on a Saturday and had to wait almost 30 min to get a table. I really like this place, very cool concept and they definitely pull it off! This restaurant is billed as a breakfast lunch place only, it closes at 2pm. The menu has unique items on it, which are generally healthy. For those who count calories, they are listed on the menu. Every time I have been there the place was busy, but the wait was very short. Service was good, quick, and attentive. The coffee with lunch is good. So far I haven't had anything that I haven't liked on the menu yet (been there on three occasions) Everything is decently priced. Definitely a must do for a good solid breakfast lunch with a twist. Had a nice breakfast here with my wife a couple weekends ago. After a 15 minute wait (hostess told us 20, so it was a pleasant surprise) we were seated and our server Eddy made fantastic suggestions for both food and drink. The juices were flavorful, omelets stuffed full of toppings, and coffee free-flowing. Love the decor and efforts to minimize waste. If you are looking for a place with good healthy food then this will definitely satisfy. I highly recommend getting on the waitlist and reserving a spot through Yelp though as waits are typically 30 minutes long. The nice thing if you do end up waiting for a while there is complementary coffee and water there. The menu has a variety of options including your traditional breakfast says a nice array of juices and specials as well. We ended up getting the Mexican street hash and the traditional breakfast with eggs biscuits and gravy. The food was OK but a bit salty and it would've been nice to have the food come out a little quicker than it did. We attempted to order Red Medicine juice that was listed on the wall of drinks and the waitress said it was discontinued but not taken off the juice posted list. When I walked in, I immediately liked the look, the ambiance. I was relieved to see they had full table service too. The menu was perfect especially since we were in the middle of a detox plan. Free range chicken, cage-free egg whites, avocado, black beans sided with an amazing chimi-type dressing and a cup-full of various fresh fruit! All within our detox specs! I was ecstatic! I like First Watch but this location is really bad at handling takeout orders. In the last 5 takeout orders I have gotten, they have forgotten items I have ordered in all of them. The meals come incomplete (breakfast with no toast, sides missing). Items don't come at all (missing entire orders). And the ones that do come are thrown together haphazardly. The Farmhouse hash I ordered today had one slice of avocado in the entire thing lol and it's brown and the eggs were overcooked. Ordered food for the first time today. Placed a to go order so I cannot account for the service when you eat in. I ordered the chicken avocado chop salad. I was disappointed, if you are going to call a salad a chicken avocado chop salad the first thing you would expect is to get chicken and avocado. This was my second time eating here. The inside is very nice, and the staff is friendly. However, after two visits, I am 95% sure I wont be back, although I understand they need to work out the kinks I just dont like when food is represented to be healthy and its not! The first time I ate breakfast, it was ok, nothing special or great about it. Today, I wanted to have lunch and my boyfriend had breakfast. I had the roast beef and the broc cheese soup, we asked about the roast beef and how it was cooked, we were advised med rare, it came out well done and after I took it apart, the texture of the roast beef was slimy, and the bread was so buttered up it was greasy, the soup was tasty but also all buttered up and super fattening and heavy, I only ate half the sandwich and left there with a major stomach ache. My boyfriend ordered eggs over easy, they came out over hard, the pancake was not fluffy or tasty. After our meals were served, no one came to check on us, and we sat there not able to eat the breakfast for 10 minutes as no one came by. We complained to the waitress about sandwich which she recommended, but no manager came by to talk to us. When we left, we asked to see a manager and were told he was in the office and could not come out, so we left there disappointed. I would rather eat at Jacks Diner, even though the inside may not be as trendy as First watch, they care more about the food they put out.
