Wife: received 1 biscuit and gravy for 10.45 Me: Big Bear skillet (eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, potatoes, gravy) a biscuit, and a nice size serving of fresh fruit 11.95. When ordered I assumed the biscuit and gravy came with 2 biscuits (yes I read biscuit) but assumed for price and compared to what we get from other places that this was more than one. The biscuits were very dense but really good. They were not a soft fluffy biscuit that one would expect. They had a nice buttery taste and you could see all the layers inside. Stopped in for a work breakfast with some colleagues. This was my first visit, but the others were familiar with the restaurant. I got the vegetable and goat cheese omlette, and my colleague got the quinoa bowl. The salad was already seasoned, which was nice, but I couldn't identify the dressing. The omlette was good, though it felt like the goat cheese was only on one side of the omlette. Overall, it is conveniently located close to work, and the food and service were good. I tried First Watch for the first time today and the brunch was delicious. I ordered the Tri-Fecta with 2 over-easy eggs, Belgian waffles, and bacon. The waffles were AMAZING!!! The customer service and atmosphere were both great even with it being busy. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves a good breakfast/brunch. This is a decent spot where we visit locally. Tried the Million Dollar Hash and there's certainly a ton of things going on. I would prob like it better without the goat cheese and arugula, those are just two ingredients I'm not crazy about but wanted to try it in this dish, too overpowering for me tho. Tried First Watch for lunch today it was my first time there and I was pleasantly surprised and amazed at how simple yet delicious my food was. My friend had already been here a few times so I ordered based on her recommendation. When I seen "Million dollar bacon" on the menu I was sold! My server was very nice and attentive, I ordered the Ham & Gruyère melt in the "choose 2" option with a cup of white bean chicken chili soup. I was not expecting the soup to be so good and flavorful, but it was seasoned to perfection. My friend had suggested I save a piece of the bacon to put on top of my sandwich and that set it off! My wife requested that we stop here on our way out of town. She had been to one in the Austin area. The atmosphere is quite charming with a fresh and somewhat modern country feel to it. The service was great, and the food was beyond that. I've never had freshly made sour cream before, but it changes my definition of good sour cream. Yowsers was that amazing! Everything was so fresh and absolutely delicious. I would never think twice about picking one of these again should I come upon one in my travels. First Watch is by far one of our favorite restaurants for breakfast/brunch! It never disappoints, the food is always great and the service is outstanding! The atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant is relaxing and casual. There is usually a wait but it goes relatively fast since they have the nice option to get in line ahead of time which cuts down on the wait a lot! I've tried many different options on the menu but I think the Trifecta is my favorite! I get it with the blueberry pancake and add a side of their delicious potatoes and grits! They have the best coffee and I keep a bag of it on hand at home. One of our favorite servers is David, he is very friendly and personable, pays attention to detail and treats all of his customers well. This rating is based off of coming here more than once. Our first time here was a 5/5 star rating, which is another reason we came back a second time. The host was quick to seat us which wasn't surprising only because we wanted to sit outside and no one was outside. Our server was attentive and gave us time to look at the menu and decide what to get drink and food wise. He was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. He even brought a bowl of water for our pup when we didn't ask which was very sweet. The food was great! We have been on a mission to find a cinnamon roll that can compete with the cinnamon rolls back home and this place quickly came in a second because of the cinnamon toast roll they have. Their menu literally warns you that their pancakes are huge and to order the amount you want at your own risk which was hilarious but true (as you can see in the photos) and their water was served in a jar which was unique to me and I really enjoyed that. The fresh orange juice was cold and excellent! Everything was great and definitely a 5/5. On our second trip here we walked in and we were told the patio was closed, which is fine no big deal no hard feelings. They offered us to sit inside but we mentioned we had Roxy (our dog) with us. And the hostess' response then was "That sucks. Sorry it didn't work out" and we kind of had to walk out in embarrassment. There were soooo many other ways to handle that and from the first encounter we had which was great and friendly and amazing this was a total shock and really unexpected so just due to that and her tone and everything I'd have to take a star. This is everything a breakfast place can be (with one idiosyncratic exception for someone like me, they need to have a couple of fresh-not pickled-jalapeño peppers in the back to chop up for people who like it spicy in the morning). The million dollar bacon was aptly named, I would ask for it a bit more crisp then they prepare it normally, but that is just me. Otherwise it is pure heaven. The bananas foster french toast, of which my lovely 10 year old date partook, was delectable. The BLT eggs Benedict was perfectly executed, poached egg molten in the center and well formed. The barbacoa breakfast tacos were perfectly balanced and fresh, (of course with the noticeable exception of them having some fresh jalapeños for me to give them the morning zip I crave.... Ah Indiana, land of cheese and no spices lol). But seriously these were great. Lastly they have these fruit and veggie juices which are a wonderful change of pace from simple orange juice. I came here on a Sunday and there was a short wait around noon - the key is to add yourself to the waitlist on your way over via Yelp. We were seated immediately upon arrival since we were on the waitlist. I ordered the power quinoa breakfast bowl and the morning meditation juice. Both were AMAZING! The breakfast bowl was very flavorful, and they definitely didn't skimp on the Italian sausage. What would be awesome is if they added some tofu cubes to this (it was a little salty because of the sausage). The eggs were cooked to perfection (that runny yolk! ). This will definitely be my go-to. The morning meditation juice is a must - only $4 and its heavenly. Also, it looks beautiful. Not too sweet either - a perfect balance. The only reason I give 4 stars is for the service. I understand it was very busy but we waited more than half an hour for our food, and my juice was forgotten. This was a cool brunch spot right in the heart of downtown. They had quite a wait when we went (30 to 45) minutes but the staff and the quality of food made it all worth it. I will say early arrival is strongly suggest it plus they don't have any chairs due to Covid were you can sit inside and wait. Bummer! But as soon as our name was called we got a booth. This is a fantastic brunch place! I came here on a Sunday with two friends. There was only a 15 min wait on a Sunday and service was great. the million dollar bacon was the best part of this whole meal. We were hesitant because it is cooked in cayenne pepper and maple syrup but it wasn't spicy at all; it tasted very maple-y. We all ordered different plates and all thoroughly enjoyed our brunch. Also for the 3 of us we came out with only a $50 bill, so it is very well priced too! FYI downtown Indy had 50+ min waits at many brunch spots at 12:00 on a Sunday so we came here with only a 15 min wait (no reservation) and we are so glad it happened that way! read more

I have been to this location a few times and have had a similar experience each time. The host staff is always pleasant. I get seated fairly quickly and a server shows up in a reasonable amount of time. I order...my food comes out. This is where things get slightly disappointing. Today, I had a truffle mushroom hash. It came out hot, the eggs done correctly and they remembered to put the sauce in a cup on the side. The greens were on top, which I thought was strange but the plate was full, so I wasn't bothered. Everything looked great...except the mushroom situation! I had to pick through my dish to find them and ultimately found 5 pieces, equivalent to maybe slightly more than 1 whole mushroom. The food itself tasted fine; it just seems like if you have a dish with an ingredient listed as a main part it would be featured in the dish, not as a garnish. I asked the server about it and she told me that was how the dish was made and it's really mostly potatoes. It was just a disappointment. This is how I typically feel leaving First Watch. My food isn't bad but a breakfast that I was actually excited about just becomes "eh". Long wait (40-45 min) on a Sunday morning at 11:15am, but they had an option to take your name online which made things easier. Seating was appropriately socially distanced, which likely was the reason for long wait times as some booths were not in use. Our service was excellent and the food was fast and delicious! We tried their morning market veggie omelet and the Chile chorizo omelette - their side of toast was surprisingly yummy with their jam. Their side salad was also very tasty, which made the whole meal absolutely perfect. Who would've thought mundane breakfast side items could be SO good?! It has been quite awhile since I've written a review here. The Great Pandemic of 2019 and the years following really did a number on my foodie hobby. I use the term Great in much the same way that Boomers refer to the Great Depression or a historian refers to a Great figure who is a murderous psychopath like a Russian Czar or Alexander the Great. None of that is any good. First Watch however is incredible. At the extreme other end of the spectrum. The best breakfast spot I've been to in a long while, and I stopped in completely randomly for a working lunch. It is a very comfy place for a meal. Ron Swanson would frequent this place for breakfast throughout the day. They have a specials menu, Jump Start it is called if I recall; order from it. Really good dishes there. Hailie is a great server, with fine attention to detail. I was brought a carafe of coffee and she only poured just less than half in my mug. See, that keeps the coffee hot and let's the patron decide when they want more. She checked on my table often but also didn't interrupt; a fine balance to strike and few career servers can handle that. Extra touches like that go a long way. Hailie will make an amazing director of Project Management at Salesforce or every kids' favorite Pediatrician someday or maybe discover where the Dark Matter really is read more

This is a great spot to check into if your in the area. Definitely a popular spot to eat, because a few minutes after I was seating patrons continued to flow in. Great atmosphere, good for groups or just a place to decompress if you need time away from peopling. Anywho... the food was delicious and clearly freshly made. The service was fairly quick: it was touch and go for a second. I appreciate the hot tea varieties and the balanced selection between healthy/delicious and delicious/not as healthy options. I enjoyed the avocado toast and had my eggs scrambled. The avocado had a little too much salt for my taste but was delicious. The toast was perfection. And I'm not sure what they did to my eggs, but YES, give me more. To go I grab a fresh pressed juice. I'm a juicer at home so always nice to have those options while traveling. Today was my first time having anything from First Watch and I wish it could've been in person, but alas, it is the year of our lord 2020! But I digress. I ordered via DoorDash and chose to stick to the list of Popular Items. I ordered the Morning Meditation, a juice blend of orange, turmeric and beet amongst other things, and The Traditional. The Traditional is what it sounds like; a traditional pairing of bacon, eggs your way, potatoes and toast. The juice was much more beet than it was orange, which shocked me because the pictures online displayed the opposite ratio. It was surprisingly sweet, to me anyway, because I've never had beet juice. It was good and it made me feel healthy! LOL You can't really mess up bacon and eggs, but I will say that the bacon was really good and cooked perfectly, as were the eggs. The potatoes were a little undercooked in my opinion, but that's the glory of ordering out, I just nuked them a bit and they were fine.
