I'm not really a big breakfast person. But every time I come to First Watch, I consider fully converting. A millennial to the core, avocado toast runs through my veins. I honestly find FW's version of it inspiring. So much so that I modeled the ones I make at home after it, with the multi-grain bread, the extra lemon-y smashed avocado and the perfect, runny eggs. Nice fresh forward menu perfect for a light brunch. The chicken salad melt is a must. I had 1/2 ham and gruyere with a cobb salad very fresh and delicious. Kids had a humungous chocolate chip pancake and devoured it. Can get a bit busy but well worth it for a savory brunch. read more

This restaurant has a hip healthy menu. They are not easy to find in this shopping center. There are so many stores and restaurants in here it is easy to miss. The outside has fresh clean appeal. The outside seating is dog friendly. All tackles and chairs seem new. Everything gets thoroughly cleaned daily or at least looks like it. The food we ordered was made quick and fresh. My vegetarian wife loved the menu options she had here because there was more than normal for a vegetarian. This place is a must try if you are in this area. read more

Love, love, love this restaurant! Always light, bright and a fun time. I'm a tea drinker so it's nice to find a place that doesn't just give you a measly cup of Luke warm water and a tea bag in a smaller cup. First watch serves their tea in a nice, big mug with a pitcher of hot water which they leave at your table so you can refill as much as you like. My favorite items on the menu have to be the avocado toast with the eggs over easy and their Triple Berry Acai bowl which is on the seasonal menu. This time though I decided to try something a little bit different. I got the Smoked Salmon and Roasted Vegetable Frittata with a side of the potatoes and a ciabatta. It looked absolutely scrumptious and tasted really good. My only complaint is I wish they hadn't buttered my ciabatta for me and I wish my potatoes were a tad bit crispier. It was really good, but I don't think I'd order it a second time which is why they only get 4 stars this time. Definitely would recommend this spot for breakfast or brunch. Just be prepared for a 20-39 minute wait during peak hours. read more

We arrived around 10am and for a party of 8 the wait to be seated was not bad... Maybe 15 mins. Once seated, we ordered. They leave a jar of water and a pot of coffee for the table that they replaced as needed. The time we waited after we ordered seemed a little long, but it was to be expected as there were 8 orders. I got the Kale tonic juice. It was served cold and tasted wonderful. I ordered the Market Skillet Hash. It was prepared just right. Loved it. My hubby got an omelette and enjoy it to the last bite. My oldest got a Cobb salad, she doesn't care for breakfast foods in general, with a side of potatoes. It looked great and fresh. It is great to have the option of non-breakfast foods. My youngest got the traditional breakfast. Ham, eggs, potatoes, and toast. She subbed the potatoes for fruit and added cheese grits. She finished it all! She absolutely loves the strawberry jelly they serve. Also ordered at our table (by visiting family) with positive reviews Biscuits and gravy - "This is really good" The special - Madam Croquet (might have the name wrong)- Egg in bread with Ham and potatoes - "This is just like Mom use to make! First watch is such a good brunch place! This location has so many windows to allow for a lot of sunshine to come through. They tend to stay pretty busy so make sure to ask for the things you need! I usually get the elevated egg sandwich but decided to try a pancake today. It's very crispy on the edges and fluffy on the inside! Potatoes are very flavorful too. We got a table almost instantly and the food only took about 15 minutes to get our food and the food was absolutely amazing, has to be one of the best breakfast places I've eaten at in a while and is probably my new favorite, I would highly recomend. read more

I'm leaving this review about a week after I had my experience. Everything from the food to my waitress was superb. Typically when I go to restaurants, I try and leave my expectations at the door and have the moment overtake if you will. After catching sunrise out at the beach, a buddy of mine and I decided to stop here for a bite to eat. This was my second time visiting First Watch, the first time was also very nice but I wasn't on Yelp to give them kudos then. After glancing over the menu, I decided to get the Tri-Athlete. I've become more conscious of places I'd like to go and try to get an idea of what I want to order. No one wants someone to waste time flipping the menu two and three times. With the Tri-Athlete I added some turkey in it. I thought it'd be turkey sausage but it was turkey deli meat. Initially I wasn't happy but the overall taste with the mushrooms and chilies turned out to taste very good. I couldn't decide on a side so I had our waitress, Shania, surprise me with whatever she thought would compliment the dish. She choose the seasoned potatoes, maaaan, c'mon, those were some of the best skillet potatoes I'd had, well, ever! When people say that, I think they say it just to say it but for me, it stands true! I wanted one of their juices but was again, undecided. Shania brought me out a sample of one their new fresh juices but I didn't like it. I ended getting the morning meditation, very, very good. I could taste the ginger and orange but not the beet, which wouldn't have been an issue for me. I want to love this place, I really do! The food is fresh and tasty, but $14 for coffee, 2 eggs, sausage, & a pancake (albeit a pumpkin pancake) hurts my soul! Maybe I wouldn't mind so much if the service was on point, but today I waited 20 minutes to get cups to serve ourselves from the carafe of water they leave tableside. Overall, every time I leave First Watch, my heart and my wallet remind me that I should've just gone to Metro. :( read more

Not up to par with the other First Watch restaurants I have visited. It's dirty. Food is slow to come out. And did I mention dirty? They gave us to go cups because there were no clean dishes. I think that First Watch has noticed their mediocre reviews and has stepped it up a notch, here's why... I've come here a couple times, the first time was a weekday for brunch and it was very meh. My husband's skillet wasn't as large as anticipated, my Floridian French Toast was a little cold. I ordered their seasonal drink (strawberry mint cooler) and encountered a glass of nasty syrup, water, ice, and depressed mint leaves. I ended up diluting the heck out of the thing with water and taking it to go. For a place that's supposed to be fresh... what the heck strawberry syrup? :/ I signed up for the Sun eClub (I love free/cheap stuff), and shortly got an email for a free entree with purchase of another. Last weekend we set out to use it, and what could have been an absolute disaster was handled flawlessly by our server, Joe, and manager on duty Margaret. I got tea to drink, they offer a selection of fair trade and organic Bigelow. Kind of bottom of the barrel when it comes to fair trade/organic teas, but I come from hippie capital USA... I digress. My hubby ordered the Chickichanga, and I ordered the Forager Omelette- Egg Whites, sub feta for the swiss. A few bites in, I realized... I was brought the wrong omelette. Now, no big deal right? Remake it and bring out the right one? Wrong- I'm extremely pork intolerant and there was a HUGE piece of ham in there. Luckily, I got just a small piece in my mouth, and noticed before chewing/swallowing and was able to take off to the bathroom to rinse right away. While this was going on, my husband flagged down Joe who came and looked at the menu and agreed that yes- there was NOT supposed to be any meat whatsoever in the Forager Omelette, and took it back straight away. Shortly after I got back from the restroom, Margaret was at the table with a fresh plate- done right this time. Apparently, because I'd requested a different kind of cheese the kitchen got confused and made half of one omelette, and half of the one I had ordered. She apologized profusely, and told me something useful. IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES, tell your server and the kitchen will be notified with a giant red box around whatever you are allergic to. They will change gloves, prep surfaces, and cookware to avoid contamination. They use a lot of avocado here, she said most commonly they have people complain about feeling ill even if avocado wasn't used in their dish- it may have been used in one for a nearby customer. Easy fix, just make the kitchen aware. My meal was comped and we'll be using our buy one get one coupon today, instead. I was told I was welcome to use it even if it expired, and just to give her name. Great customer service. Now back to the food. My omelette was served at the right temperature both times, potatoes done well, and my husband's plate was similarly flawless. The mushrooms in my omelette were the kind advertised- a lot of places will try to sub out whatever mushroom is cheapest, so that was nice to find. My only complaint/concern here is that while yes, everything is cooked fresh to order, the chain seems not to brag about where all their ingredients came from. I've seen Smucker's sugar free syrup on tables, Quaker oats lined up in the kitchen, and my tea came with a tab of Smucker's honey. While their ingredients are fresh, I doubt that they are organic or all locally sourced. So, they're "healthy", yes, but not as much as one may think. I would love to see them head more in that direction in the future. They've already got Gluten Free options and an allergen chart on their website, which is great- maybe soon they'll jump on the Organic/locally sustainable band wagon too. read more

This place gets poppin every weekend so be ready for that. They have a cool wait list where you can sign up to be there with out going in so I recommend that. I got the Elevated Egg Sandwich, the Açaí Squeeze juice and a side of ham. Elevated egg sandwich: pretty decent bread to insides ratio. The egg was cooked to perfection and the bacon was nice and crispy so that when you bit into it it had that nice crunch you looked for. And because it was cooked so well the bacon didn't just slide right out after your first bite. The sandwich came with a side of potatoes but I wasn't a huge fan of them. Açaí juice: freakin good. Some juices I get tired of because they are so so sweet. This one was great bc it tasted like it was just fruit and no added sugars were in there. It's awesome. I stopped into this First Watch location with a friend the day after Christmas for brunch. When we arrived there was a 5-10 minute wait (other people were waiting as well). We probably waited about 10 minutes. Our waitress came over right away to get drink orders. We figured out pretty quickly what we wanted and put in our orders. The food was pretty slow to come out but we were in no rush so it wasn't a big issue. I order the elevated egg sandwich and it was incredibly delicious. It was messy (in a good way) so make sure to ask for extra napkins if you order it. My friend had the superfoods bowl and really enjoyed her meal as well. The location isn't the easiest but I really enjoy First Watch and the food is worth any slight inconvenience to get in and park. read more

My husband and I stopped here for a quick brunch. This place reminds me a lot of a Bob Evans. The restraint was MUCH MUCH too cold. We sat with goosebumps for the entirety of our dining experience. I looked around thinking I was the only one cold but, the lady in the booth in front of us had the body language of a cold temperature. I found the spoon for the tiny bowl of soup way too big, 3 spoons of the tomato basil and it was gone. The spoon had the size quality of a mixing spoon used in the back of restraints. As for the Bloody Mary was delicious and presented beautifully. It was very strong and spicy just how I enjoy them. The bacon inside of the Mary was VERY tasty and I am not much of a bacon fan. The soup had a decent taste to it but, it came out so hot I had to add 4 ice cubes (good thing) the side half sandwich I got was the Ham something (I can't remember the name of it) it was very good. My husband got the A.M bowl he enjoyed I didn't try it. I would stop by again maybe try a different menu option. read more

How have I not reviewed this First Watch. I've been here so many times to enjoy their great breakfast selection. The menu offers a fresh variety from fruit to meats and everything in between. Located on the outskirts of the Walmart parking lot this is a great location to grab a bite to eat. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly. Even for fresh food the wait for food from the kitchen is never long. I've tried multiple items from the menu with my favorite being between the breakfast tacos and the quinoa bowl with Italian sausage. The tacos have the perfect combination of chicken and chorizo to compliment the egg and avocado. The power bowls are filling and full of flavor. The sausage tastes so fresh that it makes me sad when I eat it all first before anything else in the bowl. read more
