Once I was able to get her attention she said the eggs will be right up. I told never mind I don't want them and handed her my plate as the rest of my party was done eating. Horrible service. This same situation has happened multiple times now. The hostess (blonde) and manager are exceptionally rude. They gave us an estimated wait time of 20 minutes. We waited over an hour and saw others seated. When asked about how much longer we had, we were told that we had 4 parties in front of us. How did we somehow get pushed down on the list? The wait would have been another hour (total of 2 hours). Instead of admitting that a mistake was made, the manager said "Well, what do you want me to do?" We had very good experience in another FW on San Jose, but this location is different. The building acts like a echoing chamber with all hard surfaces around. It was so noisy I could hardly hear the waitress. The first cup of coffee tasted like it has sat on burner for hours (it was 9 am Saturday.) My bacons were like they were fried in its grease. So I am giving this location 3 starts because I do love First Watch. My desire is to come back again at a later date and be able to give a higher rating. I want the fact that they are new to be the reason for my dissatisfaction. My waffle came out cold. I was given another and that was the last time I saw my waitress. I had to ask 3 separate servers to get me napkins. I did enjoy my eggs and grits and new hot waffle however the bacon was actually black and burnt on the bottom. This was left unnoticed until I took a bite, however because my server was no where to be found I could not say anything. My check was left on my table the same time my food was so there was not a reason for her to come back. Hopefully they can pull it together and become a great brunch spot the area needs read more

First Watch has the unique ability of making meals feel both indulgent and healthy. I have been to a few other locations for lunch and finally had the opportunity to stop in the Bartram Park location for breakfast. I know the lunch is delicious. The pecan chicken salad with a tangy, light honey mustard dressing is my favorite and I was tempted to get my regular in spite of planning to order breakfast for a change. For breakfast I ordered the BLT eggs benedict and my companion had the pork belly cheese grits with poached eggs. I steer clear of anything called "pork belly" because I have had fatty hunks of greasy pig meat elsewhere before, but the pork belly at First Watch looked beautifully rendered and crisp so it could change my opinion of pork belly, though I still would prefer they just call it thick bacon. My benedict had two small soft poached eggs on a toasted baguette with two slices of bacon, some tomato, avocado and a light hollandaise sauce. This dish was delicious and filling without feeling too heavy. My side of potatoes were just okay, a little bland or perhaps I was just less than impressed because I was envying my guest's cheese grits across the table. The coffee was ordinary, but sufficient. Sweet tea would have been a better choice. I love that more First Watch restaurants are opening around town and look forward to being a regular patron of whichever one is most convenient to me at the time. read more

This is my go to breakfast place. Their food is always top notched and fresh. I'm a big proponent of eating whole foods and this is a place with basically no processed foods. You must get the morning meditation juice! It's fresh and packed with vitamins! The pancakes are HUGE and the avotoast is the best. My husband and I went here for breakfast. The restaurant is fairly new so it was clean. The wait time was really short. They do have an app that allows you to check-in before arrival so you don't have to wait. The fresh squeezed orange juice was excellent. My husband had the chickichanga which he said was very good. I had a bite of the potatoes which came with it which was very good. I had the standard French toast which appeared to be made with sourdough bread; however, they were very dry and I didn't care too much for them. 12/22/2019 This specific First Watch was great, when it opened. I have been 4 times since June 2019. Today is my last visit to this location. June, I came on Father's Day I expected a long wait on a table but not on the food once we got seated. My wife and I waited an hour for food. The next time we visited this location was September 8th. We "got in line" through app and we were seated quickly when we go there. We both ordered chocolate chip pancakes, nothing fancy. We waited 45 minutes for food that never came. I had to go find our server and tell her we just wanted to leave. She apologized, brought our food immediately and took care of our meals. I'm not sure how the food magically was ready the minute we were ready to go but it was. We made our return October 6 when some friends visited us from out of town. Got seated quickly and the first thing the waitress says to us is "the kitchen doesn't have their stuff together today, so it may be a while on food". This waitress was very friendly, engaging, and honest. I was annoyed that once again the food would take long but at least this trip I was prepared to wait. She regularly provided us updates and finally the four of us got our food. Up until today, it has always been the slowness of the kitchen that has been my issue. 22 December same friends, my wife, and I visited this First Watch again for the last time. Seating was great, service was great, however the kitchen was the culprit again this time. I ordered the biscuit with turkey gravy, my wife order the cinnamon pancakes and a side of cheese grits we shared. The biscuit was so hard, and the gravy was cold. The cheese grits were so hard in the middle of the bowl you couldn't eat them we had to eat around the edges. Someone in the kitchen needed to lay-off the microwave this morning. This place has potential but it's the inconsistency around the kitchen that is so disappointing. If you like rolling the dice on time and quality of your food, this is a great stop. I would recommend Maple Street or a bigger selection Metro Diner. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because the staff seem very friendly, but often frustrated with things behind the scene. We went to Bartram Park First Watch yesterday and the food was terrible. Our bacon was so hard and dark you couldn't even bite into it. The Belgian Waffle was ice cold. I had taken a bite out of the bacon and then told the waitress. She took our plates to the kitchen. They came back out with the same waffles but the had been microwaved! Terrible food. read more

Enjoyed a delicious lunch with friends. This location is a bit louder than the San Jose location. We had the "2 for you" selections. I had the half Sweet Honey Pecan salad and half Market Veggie sandwhich. They were both delicious but my favorite was the sandwich. Two of my friends had the same salad with the ham & gruyere sandwhich which looked so yummy. It took a while for the food to be served but was worth the wait. Will definitely be back. Food gets a 3, service gets a 1. I told the server I'm vegan and ordered the veggie sandwich with no cheese, mayo or pesto. After a couple of bites I thought I tasted butter on the grilled bread. The server said he was pretty sure they didn't use butter but he would check. I figured he knew so I finished half the sandwich. Then he came out and apologized because there WAS butter on the bread. This was not the best experience service wise but the food was good. They were busy but not packed. We waited about 10 minutes before being seated. As soon as we sat our waitress came over with coffee and a big smile. She was very kind and patient even though you could tell she was overloaded with too many tables. We immediately ordered the seasonal rainbow toast as an app and then waited for her to come back before ordering our entree. After about 30 minutes our toast had not come out yet and we were starting to get a bit hangry. I had ordered some fruit to go and it had already came. After about another 10 minutes the entrees arrived (but still no toast app) and so our waitress went to check. My entree was cold when I got it but my husbands was hot. Finally our toast arrived which we ended up taking to go. You could tell the kitchen was not on top of things but our waitress comped part our bill for the mess up (we didn't ask, nor would I ever, not her fault). I have eaten at several first watch. This one sucks. I have ordered take out on multiple occasions, once missing my daughters meal, once with burnt bacon so bad I wouldn't eat it and i am not picky and once without toast, these things seem simple enough not to make a big deal over but it should be a decent place to eat. My boyfriend and I ate at the new location today and we're very disappointed. We have both been eating at First Watch for years. The glasses were dirty with dust floating inside of them. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast tacos without chorizo because he doesn't eat pork. Our waitress wrote the order correctly on the ticket, but it was still prepared with chorizo. They corrected the order letting us know the cooks made a mistake. On a positive note, our waitress was very friendly and apologetic. In past experiences, when there was a mistake, the manager personally apologized to us at the San Jose location. When we went to the counter to pay, we were told that my birthday coupon could not be used because they needed a printed copy. I've never been asked to present a printed copy at any First Watch location we've visited in the past. Although the new location is in my neighborhood, we will be visiting the San Jose, Southside, or beach location because of the better customer experience. read more
