Ordered takeout today. Had 2 of our favorites - roast beef and havarti sandwich and chicken/pecan salad. Both very good. Sandwich also came with tomato basil soup which was very well seasoned and thick. Portions good size and their bread delicious. Warm chicken and dressing for salad came on the side as did horse radish sauce for sandwich. Nice takeout containers as well. By the way you can buy a loaf of the bread to take home. It's one of our grand daughter's favorites. Only 2 issues with takeout is you have to order on line but their system is very easy to use with key word search if you know what you want already. Second issue is it gave us a pick up time but was another 10 m after. But it was lunch time on a weekend and it's new. They also close at 2:30. This is a new location only open a couple weeks. Do not have liquor license yet so no bloody Mary's yet. Nice outdoor seating and good layout of inside. So happy they moved closer to us. Always a go to option. For a larger chain, this place is really great! They take breakfast seriously. The staff is always friendly and responsive, and it's a relaxed, but nice dining room. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that it isn't a local spot. read more

I love the idea of a breakfast/brunch spot that leans towards a menu that has mainly healthy breakfast items that are properly portioned out, I recommend the AM Superfoods bowl (wish I had a picture of it). It is very tasty and has the right amount of fruit and granola mixed in with it. I also recommend getting a Mint Mocha iced coffee along with an order of their million dollar bacon to start off. This was my first visit to this restaurant. The restaurant is chic with a very modern farmhouse esthetic. It has indoor and out door seating; and the booth and chairs are comfortable. We came here because we saw the reviews; and I wanted to have the crab cake Benedict. Unfortunately they no longer sell that dish. By default I ordered the ultimate omelette with seasoned diced potatoes. My husband had the waffle with eggs and bacon. Much like the previous reviews stated, the food was very slow, but I expected it so we were mentally prepared for a wait. My husband had a delicious waffle. It was light and fluffy, just like the menu described. His bacon and eggs were also good. My food was ok. I ordered their ultimate omelette with a side of pico de gallo, but it still tasted like some plain eggs with meat. More cheese would have been good. It was also a little dry even with the pico. I asked the waitress for some sauce. She recommended hollandaise, and it did help the lack cheese. My potatoes were good, but overcooked to the point that some were really hard to chew. The manager was walking around, but never made his way to our table. Just as I was about to leave, slightly disappointed, I asked the sever about the bar. She ended up bringing me a sample of their most popular juices. It was quite the experience. I loved the juice, because you could taste the freshness of each ingredient. I ordered the pomegranate drink. It came out in an adorable jar, and was served in a stemless wine glass. It was so delicious, and strong. It completely changed my disposition, and lifted my spirits. I will definitely be returning now for the drinks, and will definitely try something different as my entrée. I took a star away for the slow service and mediocre food. But the fresh design esthetic, the other food, friendly staff, and the drinks make this place a solid choice worth giving a try. read more

I came in for the first time earlier this week and enjoyed a delicious cocktail (the Spiked Lavender Lemonade) with great service from the bartender. Upon walking in I was greeted with smiles from all the workers despite the clear rush of guests flooding in and obviously high turnover. It is bright and welcoming and the decor just precious. What really stood out for me was my departure. I asked the bubbly checkout girl for recommendations on a nail salon near by as I was walking. This was a rainy, cold day mind you. Already long story short, she was a true princess when unbeknownst to me, her sister insisted on getting me a jacket to keep me warm on my walk. Several days later, I'm back. We Ordered million dollar bacon, coffee, tea, and watermelon wake up. Drinks were good. Appetizer took for ever to get here and when it did it wasnt warm. For the entrée my son and i ordered a Monterey sandwich and a honey pecan salad. My wife ordered a trifecta with sausage, Belgian waffle and eggs. The place wasnt overly crowded as we were sat right down, so i dont know why the food is taking so long. My son and i had a normal amount of food but wtf is going on with my wifes trifecta. At least put it on a small plate to look like you actually got something. And hers was not hot as well. My son asked for no avacado on his sandwich, yet there wasthe salad was good, sandwich was mediocre at best. Needless to say our visit wasnt the best and neither was our food. Food isn't bad and most of the waitstaff is pleasant but the wait is ridiculous. They leave half the restaurant empty and make people wait outside "because the kitchen is backed up and they need to get caught up" that's a terrible reason not to seat people. So I have to sit outside in the heat instead of waiting at an empty table. The kitchen seems to be grossly mismanaged. This brand new First Watch in Roosevelt Square is divine and me and my boyfriend love coming here for morning dates. They are a newer place so sometimes they can be a little bit slow, however they expressed to me and my boyfriend that they sometimes are understaffed. I always give grace to new restaurants because it takes a while for the employees to get into the flow. However, all of the employees are INCREDIBLY kind, it's insane. I've never seen waiters so kind and energetic. I always get the Traditional Breakfast and it is delicious every single time. The tables, silverware, plates, etc., are always clean and tidy. In September 2023 my husband brought me a half sandwich with soup, I know how much soup I shall get because I order this soup and sandwich alot but when I opened it I couldn't believe the amount of soup I received. We have frequent a decent amount of First Watch locations and have always had great food and a good experience. This location blew every other location out of the water with everything. The Food: the food at this location is ALWAYS delicious. I usually order the Avocado Toast, sometimes w the million dollar bacon. Their artisanal bread is tasty and substantial. It is a healthy portion of avocado on the toast. And the eggs are done just right. I have had pancakes and french toast, too. Always good. Today i ordered the Quinoa Bowl with sausage and kale. Holy coly, this is delicious!! I'm eating is now as i write this review. The Staff: i have found the staff here friendly, personable, and efficient. They are clearly well trained and know their job well. They are attentive without hovering. In short: the perfect balance of service and personal space. The Space: i love the large open feel of this restaurant. It is bright and airy and i feel extremely comfortable. Inside or outside, it's great. I actually love sitting at the bar when i come alone. I just walked out of your Roosevelt Blvd location for the last time. There's a long line of people waiting to get seated and 2/3 of the outside and inside seating areas are empty. One of the waitresses looked like she was going to cry because she was so stressed out by the situation. Why? Who manages this place? Long lines to pay (here's a hint: have the waitstaff take care of it if you can't assign a hostess to seat customers and take money.). And don't give us this "we can't hire enough people" excuse. I was unemployed in July for 7.5 months and couldn't find a job anywhere...ANYWHERE.. until February. People want to work. You just don't want to hire more people. It has only gotten worse over time. The disorganization and lack of management are not isolated to just this location. It doesn't matter where you visit First Watch it's the same thing. Disorganized and mismanaged. Why? Yes queen! But let's talk about everyone's biggest complaint in this group lately. SERVICE! Sit down queens of Petty, because my girl Deon had it this morning! We did the 5-10 minute wait... we sat down... and Deon came in like the happiest breath of fresh air! She was life at a good breakfast restaurant on a Sunday at 11:20 when non-church goer's know better then to be caught at a restaurant at dismissal hour . She came to our table with all of the "You are my family" vibes. She got down to our level and even though she was busy, she did her best to make sure we felt like we were the center of her world. Her execution of our order was flawless, she was one step ahead of me at all times, which is saying worlds! She celebrated our food choices in a way that doubled our excitement to eat My husband ordered that carnitas burrito with his chest out and proud while my simple buiscut, butter, and jam was equally as satisfying. (Don't judge me their coffee is bomb and needs no competition.) Damn Deon was amazing. I watched her quietly as everyone of her customers received the same amount of heart. So in an age of criticism of our AMERICAN CULTURES MOST VALUEABLE ASSETS, our food industry, I want to applaud Deon at First Watch on Roosevelt on the Westside Girlfriend when you read this, know that we need more people like you on the frontlines bringing your energy to the service industry. Second time here. Food and service are excellent. We got the Elevated egg sandwich that comes with home fried potatoes. It was sooo good. Coffee is served in a carafe which they leave at the table. Good coffee for those that appreciate it. Got one blueberry pancake just to try it. It was excellent as well served with a warm blueberry compote. Highly recommend this place. First Watch is my favorite breakfast/brunch restaurant. This location off Roosevelt is a new spot for the area, and I found it to be a positive experience. The staff was welcoming, the general manager checked in on us, and the food was just as ordered and expected. We were a party of 9 and the servers took excellent care of us, bringing our group everything we needed! They have a sweet little seasonal menu right now, and if you love cinnamon then I highly recommend the First Watch Cinnamon Chips pancakes! I will definitely be back! 1st time at this location since it opened a couple weeks ago. Tried the "get in line" feature online. Honestly we got there and waited a few but there wasn't too many waiting. We were sat in the order we got there. There were two hostesses and they both were polite and very welcoming. Once sat our waiter, Christian was super nice and looked like he thoroughly enjoyed what he was doing. Asked us if we had been there before & if we had any questions. Went over the menu a little and wished us a good weekend at the end. Meal was good... took a while in the kitchen but it was busy and they are still newly opened. Thought I would try the Roosevelt location. I tried the downtown location awhile ago was disappointed. Well the trend continues, I really want to like this place but I guess it's just not for me. The potatoes came in a dish with 1/8" of oil in the bottom, and they were under cooked. The over easy eggs, we're not over easy. The waffle was under cooked the bacon cold. All in all just not worth it. The customer service is almost nonexistent, think that was my last attempt. read more

When FW first came to our neighborhood, it was impossible to get in. I asked for a table for 3 and they said it could come back in an hour to get in the list. Well, an hour was closing time, soooo ... I was disappointed, needless to say! Time passed by and I didn't try again until one day I ordered from door dash, then I ordered directly on their website and saved the delivery fee and picked up myself.
