I always enjoy having brunch here. It's one of my favorite brunch places in the area. I love the decor and vibe of the place. Everything is super cute. The quality of the food and drinks are great and prices are reasonable. It's busy often so wait times for food can be a while at times. The wait for seating is generally quick since there's lots of space so there's always tables turning over. I've had mixed experience with the servers here. Guests are usually seated with delicious entrees in the restaurant as you pass by heading to your table. I've always encountered friendly and knowledgeable staff, which is definitely a plus. The restaurants are mid sized and have a farm to table ambiance. Nothing stuffy or fancy about the interior and it's always spacious enough not to hit elbows with the next guest. Decided to eat at this First Watch for breakfast with some friends before an all day road trip. I was very excited to try this restaurant since I'd never been and had heard good things about it. We were seated immediately and It didn't take us long to be served. I ordered the breakfast tacos (minus the chorizo) and they were delicious. I didn't finish all of them so I asked for a to go box to take the last one with me. I stepped away from the table for not even 2 minutes to go to the restroom and when I returned, the table was completely cleared off and my to go box was no where to be found. This was upsetting to me considering that I would not ask for a to go box if I didn't plan on taking my food with me. I didn't even have time to bring it to anyone's attention since we were on a tight schedule and in a rush. But that one thing completely ruined the experience for me and I doubt I will go back to this location. read more

This company, or more specifically, back when they were The Egg and I, was near and dear to a departed loved one so I will forever remember that person when I drive by any First Watch location. In fact, we were meeting up here just after finishing up some of the official affairs of the above mentioned person and chose First Watch as a small tribute for our little family get-together. That said, I feel a little bad giving them 4 stars because if you want to get breakfast here, they really are 5 stars. The food is fresh and there are plenty of healthy choices so you can have your eggs any way you want, just get egg whites, etc. If you like omelettes, pancakes, fertattas, etc. you'll be in heaven! Part of the reason I'm taking a star off however is that the lunch menu is kind of lacking. Yes, they have salads and sandwiches, but given that they're open for breakfast and lunch, and given how strong of a lineup they have for breakfast, they could have thrown in a grilled chicken with veggies or grilled salmon or something in there too. I went with Chicken Avocado Chop salad which was pretty good but could have had a little more chicken. The service is also super friendly, but I noticed that nobody was checking to see if we needed a refill on iced tea. The coffee drinkers were happy though because they just left the pot there, but if I had to nitpick, I would have liked having more iced tea. I guess I could have been an adult and just asked too so half of that is on me! Overall though, this place is clean, friendly, healthy and you can't go wrong for breakfast here. read more

I really like the food at First Watch. The menu changes regularly and food is consistently good. Service has been spotty at best. Seems like lots of new servers learning how to provide hospitality. My last three visits to FW we've had something spilled on us. It's kind of crazy and doesn't seem possible. It's a running joke with my daughter and I. The atmosphere is clean but crowded, they definitely are moving people in and out quickly. Not a bad thing but it's not a relaxing brunch place. If that's what you're looking for then this ain't it. Minor tweak, my husband and I were done eating but still drinking coffee and in a pretty deep conversation. Our waiter came to ask if we needed anything and if we want the check. While the food and service was good I have to report that I will not be eating here again unless they change their dangerous and authoritarian policy of not allowing people with a license to carry firearms to carry inside any of their locations. While I can see the reason for not allowing open carry in an establishment, not allowing licensed carriers is senseless and does absolutely nothing but put law abiding patrons at risk. These signs do not stop criminals from entering the premises with firearms. These signs only prevent law abiding citizens the right and capability to defend themselves. In looking at both the "thank-fall" menu their full menu (available via QR code), I could not find exactly what I wanted. Lucky for me, I got Robert as my waiter! Such a beautiful soul ... inside and out. I told Robert what I was looking for, gluten-free breakfast ... basically I love bacon, eggs and greens! He helped me out together my breakfast with no worries. He was attentive, thorough and polite. My breakfast arrived beautifully presented on a right sized plate. The black coffee is really good! Hello my fellow Yelpers. This pains me to write this review. We have ordered food from First Watch via delivery apps over the past year or so and every time the food arrived, everything thing was great. So since we both feel safer about being in public, we could not wait to actually visit the actual brick and mortar. The thought was "if the food we get delivered is outstanding, it is going to be epic not having to eat food that was cooked 30 minutes ago......how wrong we both were! As with all of my reviews, let me start with what was good. We started with a couple of freshly made juices. My wife got the Pineapple Express and I got the Kale Juice, both were good. Then we ordered the million dollar bacon, a perfect mix of savory, spicy and sweet. I thought bacon on it's own is one of the tastiest things to enter this pie hole but First Watch turned humble bacon into a million bucks. Our server was nice as well. And then we ordered our meals and this is where things went from good to flat out bad! I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and my wife ordered the Classic Benedict. I will start with my dish, the presentation looked like someone threw some eggs, Hollandaise Sauce and a boat load of greens on a plate. There was absolutely no texture, the Ciabatta bread appeared to be just heated, not toasted, the dish was severely under seasoned and the only thing that made it edible was the Old Bay seasoning that was on top. The poached eggs needed about 2 more minutes in the water as the egg whites were under and the yoke was almost watery and not silky as it is supposed to be. As some of you have read in a previous review about a different establishment, WE KNOW HOW TO COOK POACHED EGGS! My wife's dish was an even bigger disaster! Although her dish looked better than mine, one eggs was severely undercooked and the other egg was so overcooked that it was more of a boiled egg than a poached egg. So my wife asked for another egg and a little more Hollandaise sauce. Mind you, our initial order was at the table within 5 minutes of ordering it, which surprised us because we both know how long it takes to poach an egg, the replacement egg took 20 minutes to get to us and that egg was undercooked. And to top it off, they brought the egg in a bowl, that had water in it so my wife couldn't just pour the egg from the bowl and she tried to fish it out with a spoon but because the eggs was so undercooked, it immediately broke in the bowl, so now we had what looked like egg drop soup. The only reason why I gave two stars instead of one is because the Manager was extremely apologetic and comped her meal. What is mind blowing to me is how in the hell can you get a perfectly poached egg delivered but receive such crap in house! Come on man! I have read some reviews about how the Cinco Ranch location has way better quality control but since we were not sure which location delivered our food in the past, we made the bad decision of going to the closer location. Oh and one more thing, if your establishment is only a fourth occupied, why in the world would you try to seat us right by the door? Thank god we asked for another table because it got crowded quick and we would have had a bunch of people hovering over us waiting to be seated. Based on our past delivered orders, we will give them another shot but not at this location. And if the other location is this bad, then you will never get our money again First Watch!
