The quantity is sufficient and we never leave hungry but we also never leave feeling bloated which is good point in their favor. The service is hit-or-miss; sometimes the waiters are really paying attention and helpful and sometimes they are just not walking around enough. We been here when it is very busy and very light and it was still hit-or-miss. I really liked this place. I am sick of the same eggs and bacon and this menu delivers on creativity. Everything is cage free or freshly squeezed. I had the Asian Pork Belly Bowl which came in around $10.95. It remined me of the bibimbap they used to have at Locavore at Potawatomi. Two eggs were perched on rice and some perfectly seared pork belly. On top of that was Siracha and some pickled carrots. There were some jalapenos too if you needed more heat. This place is the best breakfast food I've ever eaten. It's literally gourmet food with regular prices. The service was so quick to seat us the second we walked in and it took 5 minutes to get our food to us from when we ordered. The Purple haze was such a good drink 10/10 recommend the skillets as well the goat cheese was delicious and the eggs were perfect. Normally I don't like to trust eggs at restraunts. My friend got a huge pancake and the syrup they had was heated up for her as well. My2nd time to a First Watch, both in the Milwaukee area and both times for breakfast. Impressive menu from traditional pancakes to some rather imaginative dishes. Seated immediately. coffee showed up soon thereafter. Person who seated us also provided menus at the same time. A nice time saving gesture. Very soon she came back to take our orders and I had not even picked up the menu yet. Service was almost too efficient. Placed our orders. within a very few minutes (and I do mean very few) our food arrived. Mine was warm but not hot. Both entrees were quite good and were ample without burying you in too much food. Two breakfasts, 2 coffees at $4 each, tax and tip was $40. Now I don't go out very much to eat. Too cheap I guess. My wife has a far more active social calendar than I do and she found the prices to be quite acceptable for the quality of the food and the attentive service. On a side note, I love their coffee cups. Big, white mugs with a handle large enough for those of us with short, stubby fingers to hold comfortably. We tried First Watch in Oak Creek through a couple of take-out orders. It was not great but thought the travel time affected the quality. So we gave it a shot by coming in and eating. The greeting was rushed even though it was not busy. There were plenty of people working but mostly standing around talking to each other. It took over 10 minutes before we saw our server. We ordered and they were out of some ingredients. The order came out with missing items, one of the dishes was cold and the pancakes came without syrup. It took another 10 minutes before we saw out server to get the order corrected. When we got the food it was not any better than the take out after we got it home. One slice of bacon got a little overdone, but it wasn't terrible. I chose the Belgian waffle over the multigrain pancake, and it was a little crispy and light inside. I rarely order waffles, because I don't like the way the butter just sits on top. The waffle came out hot enough that the butter mostly melted. The star was the berry compote. It was the perfect amount of sweetness for me. The only thing that would have taken it up a notch would have been a dollop of light cream. First Watch has a great selection for breakfast/brunch options, which I really appreciate. The service was great, but unfortunately the cleanliness did disappoint. My mug and fork both had food residue on it, but our waitress was quick to remedy the issue and apologize. We ordered the Floridian French toast and Market skillet hash. The fruit on the French toast was fresh which I appreciated. It had the perfect amount of sweetness but I've had French toast with better bread elsewhere. The market skillet hash had a great variety of veggies and cheese, which was really delicious. It was a bit bland but some hot sauce helped out with that issue.
