We've been to a First Watch in another city so familiar with the franchise. It was Easter Sunday so our choices for breakfast after church were limited. My wife double checked with the restaurant to confirm they were open and logged on to be added to the waitlist. Upon arrival, we waited a couple of minutes before we were seated. My wife ordered coffee and the Farmhouse Hash with cheese and wheat toast and I, at our server's recommendation, ordered the Frittata Rustica. Service was efficient and we appreciated the carafe of coffee and water on our table. My wife liked her breakfast, highlighting how she liked the flavors. However, she thought the cheese should've been included in the meal and not something you'd have to pay extra for. She thought one piece of toast was chintzy. I didn't care too much for my frittata. I felt it was too rustic with big chunks of mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes that I didn't care for. Speaking of chintzy, it was served with this thin slice of ciabatta! Really? The potatoes were good though. All in all, it was what we expected. The place was clean and was quite busy. Breakfast for two with tip came out to just under $43.

This is, by far, our favorite breakfast spot in Ocala. The service is always attentive and friendly, the restaurant is clean despite being "standing room only" on weekends, and their food is delicious. I always order the traditional breakfast which is more than enough food for one meal. It may be pricey ($14.29), but in this case you get what you pay for and it's worth every penny!

I wish we had one in California! Brunch was absolutely delicious! The fruit on the french toast was super fresh and you can tell the juice is fresh as well. My husband loved the million dollar bacon, it was smoky and sweet, and sauce left on the plate was a perfect addition to the potatoes. The place was packed when we came in but we were seated right away on the patio, which had a bunch of industrial fans going that combated the heat. Our server was obviously very busy but she was attentive and friendly. We may have to come back once more before we leave

First Watch is a very good chain overall, and this location is no exception. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming, and the service was both friendly and efficient. I like the menu choices and always enjoy the Eggs Benedict Florentine. However, this time my food was served lukewarm, which shouldn't happen.

The food was great! We tried their seasonal cheesecake donut holes which were amazing. The breakfast tacos were pretty average but the salmon frittata was the so fresh and light, I would order it again. The toffee honey coffee was more honey than I prefer but still very tasty and a great coffee base. Service was very accommodating as it was warm and sunny and they moved the shades and turned on outdoor fans for us when we asked. I loved the easy but busy energy of the restaurant. Worth trying them out!

Out of town and stopped off for a bite to eat for breakfast. I ordered the smoked salmon fritata and my company ordered the carrot and pecan pancakes. Smoked salmon was fantastic. Salmon was a bit of the salty side but other than that, the tomatoes and chive cream was excellent. The pancake originally sounded weird but the seasoned carrot and pecan nuts were an absolute must try here. Service was quick and responsive when getting our coffee refilled. Decided to dine outside on the patio which had a heated and non-heated section. Will definitely be returning next time I'm in town for the Sangria pitcher.

This restaurant exudes a very cool vibe, modern but at the same time old school. Our server Alexander is so old school cool very attentative, friendly but also professional along with the other staff are well verse with the menu. Really good customer service. The food is simple but clean and healthy. We will definitely come back.

Came in was greeted instantly friendly and chill vibe! Was very warm and envying! I love how they have coffee cups and coffee pots on tables ready to go! Menus was huge food was amazing ! Service was very quick professional and friendly!!! I wish we had one in California!!! They had outdoor seating as well! I had cheesy grits biscuits and gravy the biscuits were buttery and moist but not wet and the main dish I had was a party of so many flavors it was perfect!

Very good we are at one of these in Nashville TN .. I had the egg sandwich with avacado , bacon, guyere cheese and arugula on a brioche bun . I opted for the fresh fruit instead of home fries but hubby liked the home fries that cane with his . He had traditional breakfast with scrambled eggs 4 turkey sausage links which he said were very good and artisan toast with home made strawberry jam . We liked it and would eat here again and recommend . We went for brunch on Sunday 10:30 very busy had to wait but seated in 20 mins .. food came out quickly hot and delicious my only negative is why a place that offers farm to table food has nasty flavored coffee creamers on the table ( which I'm positive have no nutrition value what so ever that's my 2 cents read more

Amazing, fresh food! So many different options on the menu from healthy to indulgence. I guarantee this menu would make anyone happy. I also worked there for many years along with other restaurants I have worked at, and First Watch is by far the cleanest kitchen I've ever seen. Also a very good and friendly staff. The menu had so many amazing choices. Definitely a good pick for healthy breakfast or brunch. Staff was extra friendly. What I ordered wasn't what I expected when it arrived and the waitress insisted she get me something I was happy with even though it was my mistake. Awesome little spot with delicious, healthy (ish) options with great prices and service. We stopped for a quick lunch and we got seated promptly. Service was impeccable and our friendly waitress was attentive and expedited our children's meal order. My chicken salad sandwich was delicious. It was the sort of old school chicken salad that is hard to find anymore because chefs everywhere want to throw sriracha or some other newfangled spice into EVERYTHING. Not here. The Monterrey melt, the veggie burger and the egg dish were all straightforward, well prepared and tasty. They also have seasonal specials that are worth a try. Overall a great brunch/lunch spot. read more

One of the best places for breakfast in Ocala! Waitstaff, cleanliness, timeliness, quality of food were wonderful. The farmer's breakfast is to die for, with so much food that two people can eat from one plate. But please don't do this as it's not nice. Kidding around! I did not give this a 5 because the noise level was a bit too much for us. I will frequent this establishment in the future when passing through Ocala. read more

Nasty! First, the "multigrain" pancakes are far from multigrain. I also had the healthy turkey omelet. The eggs were not cooked well. Service was not great. I felt our waitress was not happy. Maybe it's me but I like to see a smile on a waitress. Anyways I won't be back. But this is typical for slowcala anyways. read more

I've been here for forty minutes and all I got was a small juice(no free refills) my waiter hasn't even came and check in on me this is ridiculous I'm OUTRAGED!!!! Food was really good. Got a roast beef and Havarti sandwich and cup of tomato basil soup. Only 4 stars because they somehow manage to cram 1200 calories into a simple roast beef sandwich somehow. But it was listed in the site and I could have looked it up beforehand. Not the place for calorie conscious people. read more

So we visited this restaurant on Father's Day, we were a party of 6 and waited more than 90 minutes for a tables. 2 and 4 tops were practically walking in off the street and getting a table but they refused to push a couple of tables together and made us wait till one of the larger tables opened up. Oh, and did I tell you the Breakfast restaurant RAN OUT OF EGGS AND BACON!!! Awesome!! Keep your distance, this place was awful read more

I am impressed with this place for a chain breakfast restaurant. Everything has always been great and I am never disappointed. The menu is always changing and delicious. I always get the eggs Benedict Florentine with the salad on the side (you can get potatoes or fruit instead of the salad). I always try whatever my boyfriend orders (he tries something new every time) and it's always been great. I'm not a picky eater but I am when it comes to a place that is a chain and I never felt like this place was a chain. I always try to persuade people to come here for breakfast because it's so good. Do yourself a favor and try it out you won't be disappointed. read more

What a great lunch we had! Being rather new to the area, we have been looking for lunch and dinner places. Interesting location in little mall in front of Home Depot was large enough so it was not crowded or noisy. We were waited on in good time and our lunch was Exxxxxcelent! Waitress was nice and our food was brought as ordered-one breakfast and one yummy sandwich. We have decided that this goes to the top of our list and recommend it highly. I ordered the steak and dozen fried shrimp combo which came with 20 shrimp. Awesome! I ordered the broccoli and mashed potatoes with gravy and everything was awesome. I loved the butter on the steak, made everything just taste rich and delicious because you had better believe I do not cook with that much butter at my house. But for a special treat while traveling, it was delicious. The shrimp were perfectly fried and some of them were rubbing up against the butter so thy were delicious too. I ate them first so they didn't have time to get soggy. The mashed potatoes were red potatoes with just the perfect amount of skin still on and chunks still in it and I loved the gravy. And the broccoli was also delicious, also cooked with butter and not just boring and bland. Definitely not the healthiest of meals considering, but not the worst option either. Definitely couldn't eat here all the time without my waist complaining, but I was very happy and so was my belly and head. The service was pretty nice too, the people were all lovely. I will definitely be back when I have been really good and deserve a cheat day, there is a ton more stuff on the menu I want to try.

We were on their bottom floor patio (which was lovely) but I did spy that they have a rooftop patio as well (what's not to love?!?). Everything from the food to the cocktails to the service was exemplary. For my cocktail I got their Old Colonel's Smoking Gun which was their twist on an old fashioned and was delightful. For my entree, I got their salmon entree. It's glazed and comes with a size of their crispy brussels and cheesy grits. The brussels were delish and their cheesy grits rank among some of the best I've had with sharp cheddar giving them the perfect flavor kick. The atmosphere was so pleasant. It's definitely the sort of spot you'll feel tempted to linger. Get to it!

Two stars for this one as well... not because the folks working there are bad, or even because the place itself is bad place to eat... they are not. It is just that the food is just not very good, and from what I have experienced no matter what the employees do the food is still going to be mediocre.

My co-worker David lost his father recently and came into a grand inheritance. We spoke at work and he expressed that he wanted to do something nice for our fellow co-workers at our middle school we work at. He asked me where I thought we should go that was tasty and price didn't matter. I said let's give our business not to a big franchise but to a smaller business here in Ocala. We decided on First Watch Ocala. He called last week and let them know we would have a bigger group and the time we would arrive. He was told they could accommodate us. He arrived at approx 9:25am this morning. There were only 11 of us total. At approx. 10 am they gave us a booth up front for half of us and a table about 5 tables down for the other half of the group. We let them know we wanted to sit together and they looked stunned. They said then we would have to wait for tables to come available. We just waited over 30 minutes for these tables. As they were telling us this, they sat two people in the middle of a long booth that could have fit our entire party. We asked if they could instead sit those two people at one of the two tables they offered us, so our party could be together. They told us they couldn't do that and we had to wait again. Mind you this morning it was about 50 degrees or a tad bit lower. They asked if we could wait outside. We had already waited for the first two tables for 30 minutes and now we were made to wait again. Not wanting to wait in the cold, 3 of us ladies in the group waited inside to stay warm. About 10:15am the hostess asked if we could please go outside to wait because of social distancing. I said we have already been here since 9:30am, (David 9:25am) and it is cold outside. She then proceeded to tell me then I could go wait in my car. WHAT!? One there was no parking, so we had to park in the side lot a bit of a walk away and two, who treats customers like that? I instead stood there with my one friend as the others waited outside. The hostess then asked if I had a mask, which I didn't because we were all going to be eating together. At 10:25 there was no one at all in the lobby except us and we still weren't seated anywhere, yet everyone that came in after us had been seated. My friend David just wanted to bless his co-workers with a nice meal in memory of his dad and one lucky waitress today with a generous tip. This establishment sadly took his opportunity away to do that and treated us so poorly. We left at approx 10:30am and went to Mimi's Cafe down the road and had a beautiful meal. I was stunned by the rudeness today at First Watch Ocala and the obvious lack of concern of whether we ate there or not. The hostesses should be trained how to properly seat and treat a large party. This place is too pricey for breakfast (One of the most expensive in Ocala) to have horrible customer service too. No thank you. read more
