I was surprised that this location had a mediocre rating when we had an exceptional experience this past Saturday. We always shop at Earth Fare on the weekends and decided to try this new spot. It was pretty busy in the morning so we were given a 30 minute wait time which allowed us to get what we needed at Earth Fare and be back to be seated right away! (they text you when your table is ready) We told our server (wish I remembered her name. She was great!) that it was our 1st time at First Watch and she was nice enough to go over the menu with us highlighting the most popular items. We decided on an omelette and one of their breakfast casseroles (eggs over potatoes) and we were blown away with the flavor and the quantity of food. This is a brand new location so not sure if earlier reviewers might have experienced some issues due to this but we had pretty flawless service and the food was amazing! As we were getting ready to leave our server noticed that we didn't get a chance to drink our waters and gave us two water cups to go without asking I know free waters-to-go might not seem like a lot but these kind of gestures are priceless and builds customer loyalty. Wish more restaurants would train their servers to go the extra mile for their clients. Kudos First Watch! We will be back in the future to try more items in their menu! They have a lot to offer. The food is so good! Me and my dad went here awhile back and every first watch I go to the food is amazing I have zero complaints. The restaurant is very crowded and pretty noisy. But the waiters, the food, it's all worth it. It's a large amount of food portion wise so great for left overs and sharing plates! It's very kid friendly and has its own kid menu. Just another breakfast lunch place opened in the area that focuses on healthier options. Good atmosphere, wonderful service, and accommodating to my infant daughter. However, I consider the Eggs Benedict to be the pinnacle of brunch foods and I judge a place on how they do theirs. If you want to offer a benedict-style or benedict inspired dish, please do so and label it as such. I have found many other places that do iterations very well and I know not to expect the benedict that was made famous in NYC in the early 1900's, some would say earlier. With that being said, I ordered the "Classic Benedict". It should have been a simple dish. 2 English muffins halves, Canadian bacon, 2 poached eggs, and hollandaise in a perfect ratio. This "classic benedict" however, adds tomato as a futile attempt to make it a healthy option. If I ordered something covered with hollandaise, you better believe I know the dish is not healthy. Stop with the tomato. Furthermore, it was served on a ciabatta bread that not only didn't hold up to the dish, but was especially difficult to cut. The ?ham? that was on top of the bread was too thinly sliced and there was, quite frankly, too much of it, throwing off the perfectly balanced ratio that one would come to expect. The eggs were cooked well but had not been patted dry coming out of the poaching water so that added significant moisture to the overall dish. The hollandaise itself was thin and puny, more likely than not coming out of a jar or reconstituted powder. It was also missing all of the flavor that comes with a proper hollandaise. In addition, the hash brown potatoes that it came with were slightly undercooked on the inside but crispy to a point of almost black on the outside. The griddle might have been too high to cook them properly. They were also spread out in a single layer over the entirety of the rest of my plate, which was weird. It certainly didn't help to keep them warm like a pile would. The "million-dollar" bacon that the table shared was.....ok. I can also dip bacon in maple syrup and sprinkle cayenne over the top. I think I may have enjoyed it more if the bacon wasn't so thin and flimsy. I would of happily paid the same or more for 3 or even 2 slices of 7-9ct bacon as opposed to the 9-13ct we got. In the end it was all decent. My fellow diners enjoyed their meals and I am sure I will be back with the family to sample some of the other offerings they have. I certainly will not be getting the classic benedict again. Can't improve on a classic. read more

I gave the company time to make amends but I sent the following complaint more than a month ago and have not heard from them since. Now I'm certain that the company does not care. To Whom It May Concern: Since we welcomed your restaurant to the Laureate Park/Lake Nona neighborhood, we have been coming frequently to have breakfast. We have enjoyed our visits every time with very attentive service and exceptional food. Sadly, today was the worst experience we have ever had at any First Watch my family and I have visited. From the beginning, our server Victoria made us feel not welcomed. She seemed angry and tried to rush us throughout, constantly asking us to order without giving us enough time to look at the menu. And when we were ready, she would not come anymore. Maybe we have gotten used to the exceptional customer service experience or maybe Victoria had a bad day. Regardless, next time we are craving for breakfast, will most likely go to the neighborhood Canvas restaurant where we have been treated like neighbors every single time. Just to be clear, the food was exceptional, the hostess was polite, it was our server Victoria who ruined our day. I hope you don't dismiss this email and make the necessary arrangements to improve quality of service in your restaurants. We frequent this location quite often and the service is always horrible. At times, the food has been very good. Once, we waited 1.5 hours for our food when we sat on the patio. We have ordered from their website for delivery multiple times. Every time has been an absolute nightmare. One time, it was delivered cold - over an hour past the estimated delivery. Another time, we received our order without drinks. We had to contact corporate to get our money back. Do not eat here unless you want to wait a long time for your food or you don't want to eat what you ordered. read more

Their hosting service is awful. I had placed my name on the waitlist and I was told the wait would be a hour and a half. I waited that full timeframe and when I went to go check again I was told I would be waiting another hour and a half. There were people that put their name after me that were able to sit before me. I had a breakfast at this location, unfortunately I was able to observe the kitchen. All but one employee in the preparation are had masks protecting only their mouth or chin. Not covering there nose. I believe the manager was present from time to time, but this disrespect of the pandemic rules was not addressed. read more

Horrible service led my terrible Manager KELSIE I asked for a Am superfood Bowl as I usually order at ever other first watch I've been to this time I asked for it to go as my grandfather is in the hospital and I had to rush back they served me the smallest superfood bowl in a tiny Togo parfait container when I asked the guy who gave it to me he said it looks regular size, however the guy up front Michael noticed it was smaller than usual and went to get me more I asked for a small side of coconut mild which I usually do at EVERY OTHER first watch to fix the yogurt from being so dry and he and the MANAGER the MANAGER KELSIE of all people in the restaurant rudely told me she was not giving me coconut milk due to their poor food prepping tactics. This business needs to close down for a week or two and re-train your kitchen staff or replace them. We waited 1hour and 15 min for our food and they still got it wrong. They lost our order and still took another 20-30 min to bring our food once they re entered the order. We asked to speak to the Manager 3 times before she finally came out to speak with us. Our first time here. We were told there would be a 35min wait for a party of 2. Ok, that's fine. An hour later I got a text saying our table was ready, just to get inside for them to tell me that it was a mistake. Another 10mins later we got a table. The server was really pushing us to place an order even after we told her it was our first time and needed a few minutes with the menu. 45 minutes(!!!) later we got our food. Never once did she come to acknowledge the slow service or offer to refill our drinks. My omelette didn't come dressed as stated on the menu and had to ask for the toppings. We weren't even finished our meal before the server came back and put the check on the table. She had no problem rushing us to order and get out the door but she couldn't be attentive in the moments between. The food was fresh and good which is why they are getting 3 stars and not 2. But was it worth waiting an hour plus for a table then another 45 mins with a server who couldn't be attentive?? No. We will be loyal to Keke's Cafe for Sunday brunch instead of coming back. read more

Never again! 1 hour wait to sit which is understood for a Sunday at 11am but 46 minutes to get food that was burnt yet cold...not sure how that happened but waiter never even came back to check on anything. Food is good. Service is non-existent. By the time they come to your table you are ready to order. They do not come back to check on you since they leave a coffee pot for you. Then when your food comes 3 people will show up to leave your check and clear your table as fast as possible. And I think they were even training servers today which means that's how they want it to be. read more
