This was a special outing for breakfast after a fasting. blood draw. We both had the special , ham n eggs and bacon n eggs. I would do the bacon next time. Where do I start? Eggs were over easy although we ordered over medium. I asked for hollandaise on the side but they served it with the sauce on top. They nicely brought me a replacement with sauce on the side but the eggs were cold because the salmon on the salmon Benedict was cold. The home fries were so salty they were truly inedible. I've been to several First Watches over the years and this one in particular is a nice friendly, politely staffed restaurant. We were seated right away on a Saturday morning to a clean table and chairs. The waitress was polite and efficient and with a nice smile. The food was hot and delicious. I personally think the fried potatoes are over salted but it could be a personal choice. Draw your own conclusions. The prices seem expensive however if you compare it to eating at somewhere less than enjoyable establishment. Enjoying breakfast. read more

This spot is...OK. Sometimes it's great and sometimes you wait forever - put those two thoughts together and you get...OK. I had lunch here two days ago by myself. There was a wait for tables, but there was space at the communal table, so I sat there. Service was good in spite of the noon-hour busyness. I ordered a ham and gruyere omelette with potatoes as the side dish ($13.29). It also came with two slices of buttered toast and some jam. I enjoyed everything. My only small complaint is that the omelette was too salty. Restaurants in general tend to oversalt everything. I liked the communal table even if I didn't end up chatting much with my neighbors. Family get together was good, restaurant only ok. Service was good but I had asked for extra pico de gallo for my wrap and it never came. I had a side fruit salad which was a few moldy raspberries with some grapes and pineapple chunks. So overall it was an only ok experience. Enjoyable and tasty comfort food. For those with a sodium restricted diet it's best to avoid certain foods here, especially the potatoes/hash. Service is friendly and efficient. The restaurant atmosphere is debatable. Warm feeling with a farmhouse decor look but the annoying loud music is extremely uncomfortable, making conversations with anyone nearly impossible. Also the music blasting away turns the restaurant into a bar-like atmosphere. I prefer a quiet and peaceful environment when eating. Therefore I only order takeout. read more

Food was good but i encountered a few eggshells on my egg benedicts. I never had this issue before, i mentioned it to the waitress and she said she'd tell the manager but never came back. So service was good, i understand it's busy, but it would of being nice to know if that ever got to their manager and so it doesn't happen to other costumers because it takes away from the experience of enjoying your plate, instead i'm concerned on every bite And picking stuff apart to take this eggshells out. Stopped in here with a friend today to have lunch. So many great choices that we both decided on the 1/2 sandwich & 1/2 salad combo. I could've had a choice of soup but because I was torn between salad of sandwich I chose this combo. The ham & Gruyère sandwich was delicious with a substantial amount of ham & the Gruyère was melted beautifully on the toasted brioche bread. The 1/2 salad I chose had chicken, avocado, pecans, bacon with a dijonaise dressing. And it too was so dang good I could've licked the plate if I was home. I would definitely come back as the service was excellent and the ambiance was too. That is until the neighboring table left with their service dog & it shook beside our table as they left leaving dog hair lingering about. Don't get me wrong, I don't have issues with service dogs but the owner could've prevented the dog from shaking. read more

We don't frequent this location and this proves why. I ordered a plain waffle with extra butter. Didn't want the powdered sugar or compote. And a side of bacon. Hubby ordered a breakfast that comes with a muffin. Half hour later, no muffin. My waffle came plain, no butter and no bacon. I asked where everything was? Went to breakfast this morning at First Watch. Got a gift card for my birthday and decided to treat myself. I was very disappointed. I ordered the French toast which was served to me extremely hot. The gentleman that brought out the food never warned me as to how hot it was. I burned the roof of my mouth on the first bite. Not sure if they microwave it prior to serving but please don't. It came with a very small container of compote which was mostly sauce, not alot of fruit. Fresh fruit would have been better. The bread was very soft and not flavorful at all. My husband had an egg entree which he enjoyed. His only complaint was that the eggs didn't have much yolk. I do enjoy their lunch menu and will return for that, never breakfast though. read more

Spent a week in Oro Valley and ate breakfast here twice. Both times, we We're beyond pleased by our food. Between the wonderful omelet, the classic breakfast, the biscuit and gravy meal, or french toast special, every meal was tasty, with portions being more than adequate. There was an issue with the timely servicing but they compensated us with a muffin! Our server tried her best, but I think mistake came from the kitchen. Very popular breakfast/lunch place in Oro Valley and a great local breakfast/lunch option. Don't forget to get on the on line wait list, because there's usually a crowd waiting to be seated. Never the less, the wait staff is pretty efficient in moving people in and out. Sometimes, they seem to be a bit overwhelmed, but they'll generally keep their sense of aplomb and keep on pitching. Menu emphasizes local sourcing of their food items, that's a good thing. Food choices run from standard breakfast to brunchy items. They alway modify the menu seasonally to provide a bit of a change. Recent addition of mimosa type drinks is a nice upgrade, although I wish they had more choices in the bubbly used. My usual go-to meal is the Tri-athlete, because it's healthy and tasty. But do not despair, the menu has many tempting savory and sweet choices to satisfy your palate. read more

Been wanting to try this place for quite a while. We went on a Sunday around 9am and thankfully did not have to wait for a table. However, we did wait a long time for the food. I saw a couple tables get seated after us and served way before us. Our waitress checked on us a couple of times then she decided to check on our food order. Apparently there was a mix up in the kitchen and I'm pretty sure our food either never got made or it went out in a DoorDash order. She was really nice and apologized for the delay and offers up a free muffin for the inconvenience. All in all it didn't upset our experience too much. The food was very good and the Purple Haze drink I had was awesome! Oh and if you are a biscuit fan, these were some of the best I've had. Nice place , friendly service and great. food. I was early for an event in Tucson and hungry so Yelp led me here. For a weekday morning it was pretty busy but my server Jesus was hustling. He was warm and friendly and offered some good suggestions on what to order. My food came out quickly and it was a nice surprise to see 4 good slices of bacon on my plate as well as all of the other goodies. When I'm back in Tucson I'll certainly add this place to the breakfast stop list. read more

We are big First Watch fans and it's great to the number of locations in town steadily increase. My husband always gets the French toast while I've tried several different items on the menu. The Athlete omelette and classic breakfast are both great, and I always enjoy the seasonal specials. Today I ordered the carnitas breakfast tostadas from the summer menu, which were delicious. I would definitely get these again. The watermelon wake-up juice (watermelon, pineapple, lime and mint) was perfectly refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. I definitely recommend the online waitlist on weekends. If you show up at the restaurant, you're looking at quite a wait, but the waitlist is usually pretty accurate in terms of wait time. Service can be a bit slow when it's busy, but that's the nature of dining out. This food is worth the wait. read more

The Sunrise Special was beautiful and very tasty - not super sweet. Ordered a BLT Benedict, seasonal Crabcake Benedict and a side of Biscuits and gravy. Eggs were poached beautifully and other ingredients were tasty. Biscuits very flavorful and sausage gravy delish. Gravy was not salty or very thick like other breakfast places. Mikala our server was fabulous making sure we took the time we needed to select our breakfast from their extensive menu. My husband and son had the Trifecta and I ordered the Bacado omelette (photo with shared waffle). Enjoyed one of their fresh squeezed juices and millionaire bacon too. My husband and I stopped by for brunch on a Friday and it was pretty busy. You can join a waitlist on their website so I recommend that to minimize wait time. We were given an estimated wait time of about 20 minutes, which was pretty accurate. Once seated, service was efficient and we were able to order and get our food quickly. Worst service. Went there for breakfast on our bike ride on Saturday morning. We chose the patio so we could keep an eye on our bikes. We asked the hostess for coffee while being seated who responded we could order coffee from the server. No server came to us though we watched 2 other parties get seated and servers took their orders! No one looked our way- when their food came we still hadn't had a server visit. While one of servers was leaving I called out with a wave of"hi, we haven't had a server yet". He acknowledged me with a grimace, then came over. We ordered coffee. By this time, 2 larger groups had been seated and were ordering. After a long while a different server came to take our orders. The food was great. We chatted and enjoyed our time. Our server left our checks on the table - we appreciated that. But when we were ready to leave we couldn't find a server to pay or get a carry out container. We finally had to go inside. They offer seasonal specials which their pumpkin pancakes are my favorite. I usually just do a pancake combo with eggs and chicken sausage. I've also tried the bacado (bacon + avocado) omelette, crab omelette, and benedicts. Their kids menu is reasonably priced and comes with seasonal fruit. First Watch recently got a liquor license so you can now enjoy cocktails and mimosas with your meal. If that's not your cup of tea, they offer freshly squeezed juices. First Watch serves salads + sandwiches for lunch but I haven't been during that time... yet! read more
