I'm a huge fan of First Watch when it comes to selecting a place for brunch. The service at this location was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was *chefs kiss*. The atmosphere is always relaxed which gives it a great vibe. Lastly, I must compliment the delicious cocktails. They never miss...always a hit.

    Brooklyn Breakfast Sandwich

This First Watch provided just what we needed on our moving day - a healthy, reasonably priced, fresh, delicious breakfast with kind service and bottomless coffee! That is the wonderful thing about First Watch, you know you're going to have a great consistent experience. I'm not one for chain restaurants but this one is my favorite! Our server was just perfect, the right amount of leaving us to enjoy our food vs. making sure we had everything we needed. I got the always solid Market Skillet (SO GOOD, packed with veg and flavor) and my partner got the special Brooklyn Breakfast Sandwich (pastrami and house pickled onions, genius!), and boy were we happy and full!!! Finish the meal off with the Holey Donuts, you will NOT be disappointed! They were so insanely fresh, steaming hot from the fryer, with a tasty berry compote! I'll be dreaming about them for a while... This location is so close to our new home! We will surely be back time after time!

Two egg breakfast with pork sausage and potatoes and gluten-free toast, but the toast is burnt
    Christina B.

My husband and I went to this first watch for the first time for brunch. He ordered an Italian omelette that came with a side of potatoes and he ordered an English muffin. I ordered their two egg, choice of meat and it comes with potatoes and toast, and I had the pork sausage and gluten-free toast. We were seated immediately, she tried to sit us at a tiny table, and we asked to be switched to a booth, which she accommodated us. Our waitress came out quickly and took our order, and our food came out relatively quickly. The temperature of the food was fine, my husband liked his meal. My meal was fine, except that the gluten-free toast was overcooked and pretty much burnt. I think the service could've been better. She took our order and people from the kitchen delivered it and she really never came back to ask if we needed anything else and just dropped off the ticket. The restaurant was generally clean and it had plenty of seating for a smaller restaurant and a casual atmosphere with a good sound level, not too loud with all the people that were there.

As far as "chain" breakfast restaurant goes, this is by far THE BEST in the area. You know it's good when you order the same thing over and over and over again and the food consistently tastes the same and hits the spot every single time. With that being said, I always order the Million Dollar Bacon and Salmon Frittata every single time. I highly recommend giving this combo a try! Service wise, I've always been greeted with a smile and less than a 10 min wait each time. They're quick to refill drinks and tend to your table in a timely manner! Overall highly recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for a yummy breakfast/brunch spot!

    Bloody Mary Morning Glory

It's been years since I've been to First Watch so I decided to try it out again. We checked in online to cut the wait and that was definitely worth it because they were busy. The lobby area isn't very spacious so it gets crowded quick and it makes you feel like no matter where you stand, your in the way. So definitely put your name on the list ahead of time. We started with a couple of brunch cocktails that I was quite frankly surprised they had. My dining companion got the Bloody Mary and I got the Morning Glory. They came out in cute little carafes and the juice was really fresh. The Morning Glory consisted of New Amsterdam Gluten Free Vodka, orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger and agave nectar. You could really taste the turmeric and ginger. I got the Blt Benedict-Two poached cage-free eggs atop toasted ciabatta with bacon, vine-ripened tomato, avocado and lemon-dressed arugula and covered with hollandaise. The ciabatta made it awkward to eat and hard to cut but it was good. The bacon was tasty and the lemon really stood out. The eggs were also perfectly poached and all the produce was fresh. I did swap out the salad it came with for potatoes. Overall it was good and they have an extensive menu that works for everyone.

Someone recommended this place to me, so I stopped by. So glad I did....food was good and service was excellent. I'd definitely eat at this place again.

    Classic breakfast

Had an early Sunday morning breakfast at this place. The restaurant is clean and comfortable with nice spacing between tables. Staff were friendly and efficient. My friend had the classic breakfast which she enjoyed. I had the crab avocado toast which was off of their Spring menu. There was plenty of crab, the avocado was tasty snd the toast was a lovely hearty piece of bread.

Salmon frittata Orange juice French toast with Turkey sausage
    A D.

Dan the manager working Saturday was so accommodating. I had ordered the salmon frittata with the greens and a kids meal french toast, Turkey sausage, and orange juice. Oh how I love their oj. Heavy gym day and I need it. Placed my order online and when I got there it was ready. There are a few things I would like to clear up before proceeding. The kids cup have been replaced with just a small cup due to covid(kids cups were to expensive to keep in inventory so the just switched to adult small, now they do not fill it up bc technically it's supposed to be for a child so do not get upset if your kids juice isn't to the brim of the cup. Also they can no longer keep toothpicks and mints out due to this as well. I did not know this so upon arrival I seen a half of a cup of juice and was like umm no. But technically yes this is correct and he explained to me so nicely and still filled it up for me. If you place an order online and for any reason you want to receive a refund you will have to call a number and wait 3-5 business days, also they are closed on the weekends, gotta love what COVID has done to the world. Like most first watch it was a nice crowd, the restaurant was clean but I'm a firm believer of what sets these chains apart are the people. This is why they get a 5. The food is always consistent and the people here are just so nice that I can't help but to pass up 2 others just to come to this one. Friendly staff, great breakfast, and clean.

Quick, clean, and good service. Portions are huge (specifically pancakes). Highly recommend getting a fun juice. This one was delicious and sweet - lasted me the whole meal.

    Cobb Salad
    Dev T.

I have been to this location twice. It is ok but not something that I would highly recommend. It does get busy so I would be ready for a wait or plan to come when it is not breakfast/lunch hour. I got the Cobb salad both times. It is a good, standard Cobb. They definitely give you a lot of food. It didn't look like I had barely made a dent by the time I was done. The bacon was very crispy and the avocado was great. The turkey was like a chopped up lunch meat turkey.

Delicious breakfast this morning at their Metcalf location. I will say, due to their layout, this location is noisier than most First Watch locations. First Watch is consistently delicious.

The food was really light and yummy. The potatoes wasn't greasy. Perfect place for a brunch. It was busy, but our waitress was quick and attentive. Make sure you join the waitlist around noonish, we went before the lunch rush so got seated real quick.

They absolutely have the processes of this little restaurant honed to perfection, and even during a busy lunch time kept things humming so that there was minimal wait time (to order, for the food to be brought out, and to pay for our meal). Many, MANY thanks to Robert, who seated us, took our order, brought our food out, and settled our bill. He was friendly, efficient, and so welcoming. It was a joy to watch him work; he made sure to greet each and every customer coming in the door, and was consistently so upbeat and positive. And many, MANY thanks to Tony at the grill! Our food was FANTASTIC!! I have high standards for Mediterranean food, and the falafel wrap was totally delicious! The falafel itself was perfectly cooked, with a crispy outer layer, and the other ingredients in the wrap were chosen for a perfect melding of flavors. I had the side salad, with homemade Thai peanut dressing, and it was equally tasty. My husband had the patty melt, which came on homemade bread (!) and was, per his report, perfectly done. His side was tater tots, and we shared them. They were crisp and light without being greasy, and addictively yummy! The restaurant is in a strip center; it's not very big, but the tables are well placed so that no one feels cramped. The open reception area and kitchen/grill make it easy for the staff to respond to what's happening in the dining room (e.g., new folks arriving). It was a truly memorable meal, and we'll definitely be back! Again, MANY thanks to Robert and Tony for such a great lunch. We appreciate you!

We loved the little set up with a great amount of seating, a clean bathroom, and outlets for people who want to study or get some work done. We were a little hungry and got the empanadas and both tried the Yerba mate. We've never had the traditional yerba mate and were excited we could try it here. Once our order was ready one of the employees was happy to explain to us how to properly drink the yerba mate. She was patient, kind, and professional the whole time. There's definitely a trick to drinking it without getting the tea leaves through the straw. As we enjoyed our snack and drink we could tell the caffeine kicks in a little later. So, if you're up to trying traditional yerba mate, be aware that you'll get a gradual burst of energy a little later. I personally loved the decor and the atmosphere here. They had little knick knacks you could purchase, a small refrigerator with items to take with you as well. I recently attended a somewhat fancy "Tasting Tea Party" here, which was part delightful and fun,…read moreand part awkward and disappointing. The table setting was lovely, with small vases of roses, and it was a great way to gather with 5 friends for a fun afternoon. They provide tiered towers of small sweet and savory treats, which included a delicious pastry with bits of pear, a slice of tasty cheesecake to top with strawberry jam, salmon with cream cheese rolled in a crepe, and a tasty but crumbly tiny sandwich. Each tower was shared by 2 people with one of everything for each. However, they weren't all "finger food," and some were too messy to pick up, and/or too big to eat in any dainty way in one clean bite! So we had to ask for small plates to put them on, and utensils of some sort...and more napkins, of course! It seemed those kinds of things should' have been provided or anticipated without our having to ask or go get them ourselves. We expected they would serve various teas by pouring a small amount in our individual cups to try, and tell us what kind we were tasting, and then come back in a bit with the next kind to taste as we munched on treats. Instead we got individual teapots, in which we could only choose one flavor to brew, when we all wanted to try them all...it was supposed to be a tasting!! But having 6 pots of unlabeled teas, and not remembering which was what, and everyone wanting to taste all made it unnecessarily complicated. And continually passing 6 different pots of unknown teas back and forth across the table was cumbersome and confusing. We tried to write each type on a napkin and twist them around the teapot handles, but those didn't stick! And if you didn't like one kind, or more, there was nothing to pour the remainder from your cup into in order to try the next. So one of us left the table to ask for a "tea-spittoon" so to speak. A good time was had by all, but it wasn't an event we would want to do again at the European Market and Cafe. It is a fascinating market with a large variety of packaged foods and candies from many countries. It would be very helpful to be multilingual in order to read the labels to know what they are! You can also enjoy a meal in the cafe, and/or carry out some pre-prepared fresh specialty foods, pastries and desserts. But be prepared for a little sticker shock. Then again, I guess that's common everywhere these days!

I also had a decaf iced latte, which was tasty. Both my mom and I agreed that the food was good and richly flavored. The employee who served us was both nice and knowledgeable, answering any questions we had about food options we weren't familiar with in easy to understand, succinct terms. When I went (mid afternoon on a Tuesday) it was pretty quiet, with one employee in the front and a couple of other patrons seated. There was some pop music in the background on low volume, which I appreciated. Overall the vibe at that time of day on a weekday was very calm. I'm interested in checking out their karaoke, live music, and tea time nights/events in the future. They definitely look like fun ways to spend some time! Ultimately, if you're looking for good, casual European fare, including Eastern European, or even if you're just curious, I absolutely recommend European Market and Cafe.

I happened to visit during the World Cup, so the flags made the atmosphere feel especially fitting. It was relatively quiet when I stopped in, making it a nice spot to relax with a coffee and pastry as well. The menu isn't huge, but it offers a nice selection of Brazilian favorites, including pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), coxinha (Brazilian chicken croquettes), and Escondidinho de Carne, a Brazilian-style shepherd's pie made with yuca instead of potatoes (available with either beef or chicken). Many of these items are also sold frozen to take home, along with brigadeiros, cakes, and other desserts. They also serve coffee, smoothies, and a creative lineup of açaí bowls named after Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu belt colors. I've never had an açaí bowl before, but the belt-themed names definitely made me want to try one next time. My Order: Beef Yuca Shepherd's Pie The crust was flaky and buttery with a savory beef and yuca filling. I ordered it to go, and it was still warm by the time I got home. Honestly, I'm not sure I could tell much of a difference between yuca and potatoes, but if you're already a fan of shepherd's pie like me, this is definitely worth trying. Atmosphere & Service: 5 Beef Yuca Shepherd's Pie: 5 The only reason I'm giving 4 stars overall instead of 5 is because the menu is fairly limited.
