I have to admit I've never had a bad experience with this location (Oviedo) until today. The food was good, the service was terrible! The waitress never brought my drink. I waited and waited. My food came out and no drink. I made a comment to the person who brought my food about it. She said she addressed it with the waitress. Its a simple ask, a drink. I was never asked if I wanted a refill. Then i get my check and the waitress didn't even ask how was everything, thanks for stopping by, have a nice day. These are basic manners. My wife and I stopped in on a whim and it was great! Our waiter was phenomenal and the food was great. We started with the million dollar bacon and ginger donuts. The bacon was very good but had to much pepper for my wife. The ginger donuts were very good. Kind of reminded me of the fritters from Dixie Crossroads but definitely its own flavor. For our mains I had the classic eggs Benedict and my wife had french toast. We both enjoyed. My only critique is the Hollandaise sauce was not rich and pronounced enough for me when it should be the main attraction of the dish. Overall a great meal with great staff. I love First Watch! Have come to different locations on a number of occasions but this location has been my favorite. It is fairly brand new still and have a very homey southern but modern twist of decor. I get the avocado toast every time and their iced coffee is one of my favorites ! It's pretty sweet FYI. Service is amazing like always and when my grandma didn't like her bacon due to it being burnt they gave us coupons for a free meal ! This bad review hurts , as I have been eating at First Watch for a very long time. I also understand the fact there is employee shortages everywhere. But this morning by far the worst experience I have ever had at any First Watch , the server was young & nice but was a horrible server. The food came out & both of the English muffins weren't even toasted & the turkey sausage wasn't even fully cooked they were still cold , server came back said "I'm not even sure what to do" Manager came over wasn't much older he said he would take of our food & bring all new English muffins & turkey sausage 15-20mins later we just walked out , we will go back eventually but not for sometime. We've been to First Watch in Lake Mary often, and to the Mitchell Hammock location twice. They're both busy on weekends, expect a wait, but much more relaxed and quiet on the week day mornings. I've been to this location several time and never got what I could not call bad service but no service. 10-13-19 10:51am taryn table 9365/1. I got my order and the server had very little personality and after the order she drop a pot of coffee on the table and never came back until she handed me the bill. I had to ask the seater for a refill of ice tea and you would figure the waitress would rush to do it but that was not the point. A business colleague and I have been trying out the First Watch restaurant locations around town. This time Oviedo, since we'd dined in the Waterford Lakes, University and Mills Ave locations. Our server was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. He provided us with fresh brewed, decaffeinated coffee and regular half-and-half. We each ordered the 2 for You. I had the Roast Beef & Havarti and a cup of the Tomato Basil. Both were so very good that I couldn't stop. I usually bring half of my meal home; but, today I ate it all. My dining partner had a Cobb Salad and the Soup of the Day, which escapes my memory; but, he seemed to enjoy it very much. We talked business, family, aging, the new developments in the area; and, plan to get together again in the next 6-to-8 weeks. Went to Popeye's today. Had to wait 45 minutes in drive thru line. Ordered nuggets. Tasted dry, like they had been cooked a long time before. They were out of bbq sauce. Let me say this place is amazing! We can for breakfast to celebrate my birthday and it was a GREAT pick. Our server, Shatia, was very patient with my family of 5. She took her time to answer questions and explain menu options. I decided on the Crab Omelette, one of the summer specials! It was amazing. Every bite had crab, and vegetables. Hubby ordered the smoked salmon frittata, and I was skeptical that he would not like it however, to my surprise, he ate every bite with no complaints! My girls ordered French Toast, and let me say, this was one of the best French toast I've had! We had been to other First Watch in South Florida, and we had really liked it, but this time we were disappointed: 1) I asked whether the açaí used for the bowl had sugar or whether it was unsweetened. Server gave me a bit of an attitude bc she would have to "go to the back to check". She never came back with a clear answer. 2) the coffee was undrinkable: it wasn't fresh and it tasted like "old coffee" (the one you leave standing all day and then reheat). We left the whole cups of coffee full, and when we complained at the register, they still made us pay for it! Our experience may have been such because the place is still a bit new. We hope customer service improves because the food is generally good, but until then we won't be back again. read more

My husband and I went to this location for lunch today. This was our second visit since they opened. I walked in, and told the hostess that we'd like to sit outside and that my husband was already out there. She smiled and said no problem, and walked menus to our table. We chose to sit outside because we had our dog with us. There were two other parties outside and other outdoor tables that were empty. We sat out there for 20 minutes after we received our menus, and no one else came outside to check on the other parties or to take our order. No drinks, no water, nothing past getting the menus when we first arrived, so we decided to leave. We didn't want to make a fuss, so we didn't go back in requesting to be served. I am disappointed, and hope that the issue is addressed with the hostess. We ended up going to a local small business bakery, where we were greeted instantly and warmly. read more

We were seated very quickly and the service was excellent. The inside of this establishment is very nice because of the decor on the wall and the light fixtures are homey. I ordered the avocado toast and it was delicious . The avocados were fresh and the seasoning helped to cut the savorinesses of it all, and the eggs were warm and cooked very well. The only issues I had was that is that the water is a little odd tasting and that one of my party members got hot chocolate and it took a some time to come out. read more

We ordered the FarmHouse and The Ham and Gruyere and they were fantastic. The Kale Tonic is refreshing and probably ordered twice from my behalf, haha! Everything was cooked perfectly and our server Taryn was incredible. She had all tables full and still took very good care of us with what we needed. We ordered the french toast, breakfast tacos, and an omlette. The staff was friendly and we liked the food but we were disappointed with the experience. We put ourselves on the virtual wait list which said 20-30 minute wait. When we arrived 20 minutes after joining the waitlist and checked in, they said it would be an additional 20-25 minutes which we weren't expecting, but I understand it can happen on a weekend. When we sat down, one of the coffee mugs was stained with coffee like it hadn't been cleaned. The couple at the table next to us asked for a new mug as well because theirs had lipstick on it. Unfortunately, I don't know if we can call it a rare mistake if it happened to two tables within a few minutes of each other. When it was time to get our food, one person at our table received their dish 15-20 minutes before the other 2 people got their food. This location recently opened, and I have to say it is beautifully constructed and decorated. We ate here at around noon on a Saturday, and we did not even have to wait for a table. The food was delicious and the service was great! We experienced a small hiccup (they forgot the avocado on my sandwich) and the mistake was very quickly resolved. Our server was great and very attentive. Overall, this is a great location! The high ceilings can make it get a little loud-- so if you're dining with someone who is hard of hearing at a peak rush time, it may make conversation a little difficult. Today was an enjoyable first visit with my daughter from out of town. Service and flavor of our meals were both outstanding. My only complaint is that there were 2 managers visible but just standing around. No interaction with their guests...no touching tables, not even a thank you as I walked past them to leave. First of all, let me say that the service was friendly, prompt, and charming. The restaurant was clean, the bathrooms were clean, and overall it was a nice experience. My biggest complaint is really with the lunch items. And it is not so much a specific complaint as it is a general disappointment with the quality of the lunch items when compared to the breakfast items. I had the ham and gruyere sandwich, which was nice but overly buttered. It made it quite messy to eat, and also seemed like it did not receive the proper amount of Dijon. Now I have been to First Watch multiple times for breakfast. This was my first time ordering a lunch item. The manager was friendly (really the only reason I'm giving 3 stars otherwise it would be one) but our server was horrible & unfriendly. Food was mediocre.
