Stopped in for brunch. I ordered the Bloody Mary with Million Dollar Bacon. The drink was not good and the bacon sure came up short on a million dollar fatty and soggy not good. The glass was miserable to drink out of. The service was not good. They forgot the bacon and forgot my wife's potatoes. Now the food saved the day I ordered the Elote Mexican street corn hash. Two over easy eggs with Monterey cheese, avocado, roasted corn, chorizo, scallions, chipotle crema over potatoes. Served with a lime wedge and corn wheat tortillas. A very fresh tasting dish. We went here for brunch on Monday, When we walked in, the man at the counter had a huge grin on his face and welcomed us. When the food came, it was delicious! Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted, because they have so many delicious-sounding items to choose from! I finally choose the BLT-A with a cup of Butternut Squash Soup. Fabulous. The soup was perfect, and so was the sandwich. The bread was fresh and soft, really good. Today was my first visit with a few friends for lunch. I always thought this place was like Panera, mediocre food with a high price. Boy was I wrong. Walking in the door I was greeted by four staff members, a very warm welcome. Very pleasant waitress that let us take our time to order. I had the sunny Soul hash. It was one of the best breakfast dishes I've ever had. We all loved our food. I had the Smoked Salmon and Roasted Vegetable Frittata. Just the name alone had me intrigued. Among all the flavors in this frittata, my absolute favorite parts were the Wild Alaska Smoked Sockeye Salmon and the Parmesan cheese. I have tried both locations in Shelby Township and the one off the Hall Rd and my friend and I enjoyed the location off Hall rd more because they had more to choose from. The service was better too. Never greeted by server even though I was promised a gluten-free option review with said server (no gluten free menus). Sat for 10 mins while the server was eating a bagel in the kitchen and then on the restaurant floor which is unsanitary and unprofessional to say the least. The lack of work ethic by the chatty kids is ridiculous. Those who weren't stuffing their faces, were running their mouths and the hostess was on her phone. I have been to this location a couple times each time I go there it seems like the employees are lost or have a hard of hearing or an attention deficit .. you can tell them you can tell them what you want and they're going to put on what they feel and need to go on there like two scoops of rice on a Falafel wrap and then asking me if I want the falafel on the side after they've already stuffed the flower and can no longer close it. .more training is needed for sure.my wrap was 4.5" thick. Not impressive at all.better off going to real Mediterranean restaurant. This was my second time at First Watch. Definitely enjoyed my experience the second time more than the first. At our first visit we probably waited an hour+ for our food but this last time we had our meals in no time. I ordered the Trifecta which was fantastic. The homemade butter on the Belgian waffle was so rich I felt guilty eating it . It is served with a strawberry glaze on the side that tasted absolutely amazing. Eggs were cooked perfectly as well. The atmosphere is very open and inviting as well! There is an outdoor covered seating area which im always happy to see. All staff were wearing masks and I witnessed frequent hand washing which is fantastic given the current covid crisis. read more

People have told me the food was amazing and how they would like to go back We all decided to come to this place here in Michigan. We made a reservation and even after arriving to our reservation time we still had to wait another 10 minutes. The service was okay our server didn't really come by often and we had to wave someone down. Our table was poorly washed and sticky. The food was average and even those I came with who recommended this place said it was different from the other states one they went too. This place isn't worth the wait. I've been to many First Watch locations in Florida, Ohio, Missouri, Kansas, and Michigan. I do like the food and except for those in the Detroit, Michigan area, I like the atmosphere. This location in Sterling Heights is typical of their other locations in Troy and Shelby Township. Metal walls, , hard floors, no sound absorbing material. On a recent visit, the sound measured a steady 80 decibels and spiked higher. That's equivalent to trying to carry on a conversation with a vacuum cleaner running or on a busy city street. I want a place for breakfast or lunch that is quiet, restful, and where I can converse without shouting across the table. This wasn't it. I won't be back. read more

Enjoy breakfast with my daughter today. Happy restaurants are open for inside dining. Daughter tried the new Purple Haze drink, very yummy. Daughters got the trifecta with scrambled eggs (looked a little like they scramble in the pan, not with milk and whisk) waffle with crispy edges and turkey sausages she loved it all. I thought I would try something different. I got the eggs Benedict, original with ham no tomato. It was served on ciabatta. I had to send back because the poached eggs were overdone, yolks were cooked. They were very quick to bring me another plate, even replacing the potatoes. The sprinkle with arugula, not a fan so I removed and not quite enough hollandaise for my taste but it was very yummy. I had a side of pork sausage links (2 large pieces) it didn't come with toast I guess cause it's on ciabatta. There was plenty of ham not Canadian bacon.
