Just lacked some oomph even after I squirted the lemon on it. I'm going to give them three stars because of the quality of the food and the ambiance. It was really noisy but I guess it can be expected for a Sunday. The food itself was not as tasteful as it looked. I had the Lemon Ricotta pancakes and the lemon curd was runny like pudding and the bacon was almost burnt. The service however was great, though and the prices were pretty good coming from someone visiting from SoCal. I appreciate the consistency of food and service at First Watch. I found myself out in the area meeting with a friend, and we decided on First Watch for our breakfast catch-up. My go-to is to always share the banana granola crunch multi-grain pancake and the avo toast. Back in my omnivore/carnivore days, I liked the pesto chicken quinoa bowl. The bottomless coffee, the cold pressed juices, and now their breakfast cocktails, are all additional perks to the experience. This location does online ordering and to-go orders through various apps and third-party websites. As far as dine-in goes, if/when there is a wait, they do activate their Yelp Waitlist feature, meaning you can get on their waitlist from the comfort of your home, running errands, waiting in your car... or wherever. read more

I haven't eaten a good brunch in a long while. So, I tried First Watch out. First off, their menu was huge. I didn't have enough room in my stomach to try all their food. But, I really wanted eggs and finally settled on their farm skillet hash with added crimini mushrooms. I asked for over medium eggs, which came out perfectly runny. All the ingredients in this dish like the bacon, potatoes, mushrooms, roasted onions and tomatoes, and avocados were all delicious and pretty well seasoned. Just for my own taste, I did add a tad bit more salt and a ton of cracked black pepper. Not to mention some tobasco sauce for a bit more tang and kick. I did also get to try a bit of the Floridian french toast and morning meditation juice. Both were a ok. But, I did prefer my dish more. It wasn't extremely packed inside on a Saturday early afternoon. But, it was crowded enough to where we had to take pandemic precautions. We opted to sit outside on one of the three umbrella covered tables for better ventilation and social distancing. Our waitress was wearing a mask and was very attentive to us, which I appreciated. They gave us utensils wrapped in a napkin, which was good. We were also able to pull up their menu by scanning a QR code. My boyfriend took me here for brunch and I was happy that I finally got a chance to try it. I always drive past it and wanted to try them. We came on a Friday around 1 and there was no wait. We were seated promptly. I got the kale tonic drink and the power quinoa bowl. The bowl game with two eggs, quinoa, and Italian sausage. Now I must say that the food was really good as well as the kale tonic, it tasted like a green Apple jolly rancher. My boyfriend ordered the watermelon drink and that was really good as well. Pretty good breakfast place. Great for groups, familes, or eating solo. The menu has alot of different items compared to an Ihop or Dennys and has a modern farmhouse feel to it. It is located right off highway 90 in Sugar Land with plenty of parking and seating. I had the Pumpkin Pancake off the seasonal menu but it didn't taste very pumpkiny to me...but I guess that also means it used real flavors vs artificial overly sweet fake pumpkin spice flavors! We had an event to attend in Sugar Land so we decided to have a quick brunch nearby before..The food took 60 minutes to prepare! Once we got it, we were missing an entree. They said it would take more than 15 more minutes to get it so we opted to not wait given we were already going to be late for our event. We had tickets to this event and it started at an exact time, which made it problematic. We just shared our meals with the person who didn't receive theirs. It's kind of ironic to see Yelp advertising a zero wait time, because i just left here and that is certainly NOT the case. We decided to come here and check it out after Church for a special occasion brunch. The place was crowded but we were told the wait would be about 15 minutes, so we stayed. About 20 minutes later we were offered to share the large "community table" in lieu of getting our own. Our server was frantic and apologetic for the slow service. It took over 15 minutes just to get juice and coffee. We had placed our food order with the drink order to ensure we got our food as quickly as possible. About 40 minutes later, we realized that we hadn't even seen our waiter in almost half an hour. The other side of the community table got their food and we were still waiting. The rest of my party went to the car as I went up to the cashier to pay for our drinks and leave. Rather than honor my request, they insisted on getting the manager. I reiterated my request several times. After about five minutes of waiting at the cashier, our food finally came out (over an hour after we ordered) and the waiter was looking around clearly confused as if it hadn't been an hour. We were hungry and irritated at the horrific disregard for our time, so I finally just gave up on trying to pay for the drinks (after offering four times and holding my credit card out) and walked out. The GM followed me out to my car to apologize for the situation. He was very polite and apologetic, but I had to emphasize more than once that we'd been waiting over an hour and a half at this point and we were trying to go somewhere else to get food before we finally parted ways. I can't speculate on how the food was, but the apple juice and Sprite were standard fare and the coffee was a bit too acidic for my liking. I'll probably go back here on a slower day to see what the food is actually like, but the other people in my group weren't even keen on giving this place another visit and I can't blame them. read more

I don't really expect much for breakfast places. Most is generally standard ok, with some days being worst than others, but rarely any that stands out with wow, this is something I gotta have again. For my visit, it's 50-50. I got the salmon benedict, and it was alright. General standard ok. The presentation is very appetizing with green salad on the side and the salmon benedict on the other. However, I felt the salmon was not enough and the eggs were a bit small. The taste was ok, but nothing extraordinary. What I really liked and surprisingly enjoyed was the morning meditation drink. Our waitress was super helpful and accommodating to our table. I got the morning meditation juice since the ingredients sounded super appealing and clean. It tasted as delicious and refreshing as it looked. It had orange juice, beet juice, lemon, turmeric, ginger and agave nectar. Highly recommend this large drink. I also ordered the Farmhouse Hash with my eggs over easy. This dish has seasoned potatoes, bacon, avocado, onions, tomatoes, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese. It's served with whole grain toast and a side of fruits. I especially love potatoes so this was a winner for me. The blend of everything brunch into a bowl-like presentation was super convenient for me to munch on. The seasoning and different flavors blended so perfectly. We asked for coffee and waters for the table but only the waters came out. We tried several times to flag our server down but she kept ignoring us.
