They were frozen eggs that were microwave and they put a green garnish sprinkled on top with undercooked frozen disgusting little potatoes. Consistently delicious for breakfast. I find all the ingredients to be fresh and very well put together. The avocado toast a multigrain bread with some of the best I've had. My first trip to First Watch was awesome! I couldn't believe the crowd on a Thursday morning around 10:30. I didn't wait for a table but the place was almost packed. The first thing I ordered was iced coffee, my favorite kind. The server told me it would be sweetened, which was music to my ears. The coffee was great. As a breakfast enthusiast who is also gluten free, I was excited to learn of their gluten free French Toast! I had been craving pancakes or waffles or French toast, so of course I ordered it. I added a side of scrambled eggs and potatoes as well. I even paid a little extra for the real maple syrup option. I'm from New England -real maple syrup is all I know. The food was presented quite appealing on a pretty large plate. There was a surprise side of berry syrupy jam, a delicious additive to my French Toast. This menu had so many vegan and vegetarian options on it that we decided to share! I started with a grilled portobello and roasted pepper panini with pesto sauce and then finished with a piece of this fantastically flavorful pina colada stuffed French toast that was truly reminiscent of the beachy beverage! I really enjoyed the sautéed onions in the country style hash browns and was intrigued by the zest of the pickle - it had a flavor I couldn't quite place but really appreciated. I ordered a hot tea as my drink and was excited when the server brought out a box of tea filled with flavor options. I found the Waiter to be polite, prompt and attentive, the restaurant clean, and the food flavorful and satisfying. Why 4 stars? Because this is another great breakfast option near my house. --- --- --- It's been years since I'd been to a First Watch, and I'm not really sure why I took so long in between visits. The mystery expands even further when you consider how ridiculously close this location is to my house and how often I'm at the next-door Publix. I often see the people waiting for a table, sitting outside as I walk into Publix and I think, "man... I could go for some pancakes and eggs." I finally did it! But speaking of people waiting, my favorite thing about First Watch is that they utilize Nowait. Nowait allows you to get on a virtual waitlist, so you don't have to spend the entire time sitting around at the restaurant waiting for a table to open. We got on the waitlist at our house, checked in at the time it recommended, and only stood in the lobby for 2-3 minutes while we eyed the menu and made our decisions on what to order. Why every restaurant doesn't use Nowait, I'll never know. As for the food, I ordered The Works omelette, which basically came with everything you can imagine would come in an omelette. To be honest, it was okay - I've had better omelettes. I did upgrade to seasoned potatoes as my side, and those were great! Really, they were the perfect omelette compliment. I also couldn't resist ordering a banana granola pancake, which was huge - one was plenty enough to scratch my pancake itch. This was the highlight of the meal for me - I wish I could eat one of these every morning. To drink, I ordered a Kale Tonic, because it was an oft-mentioned item on Yelp. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't like it because I've not been a huge fan of kale and kale-related accessories in the past, but this was quite refreshing. I would definitely order it again. I also went with the cold brew coffee, which like the omelette, was just okay. My wife got an omelette and grapefruit juice, and altogether, the bill came to $50 after tip. That, for me, is what secured the 4-star rating instead of a 5. The food was tasty and the experience was convenient, but it was definitely one of the more expensive breakfasts I've had. For that reason, we probably won't be at First Watch super often, but it's good to know that it's right here in our 'hood. read more

I ordered 2go. It came out over 10 minutes later than it was supposed to, which is no biggie, but they didn't pack and cutlery or napkins, which was an inconvenience since I wasn't home. It was fairly busy, but not too loud. The food was good. The kale juice was good. I have no complaints there. My only other complaint is that the people weren't that friendly. They spoke, but it appeared like no one wanted to be there. I get it, it was bust, but that's a part of the game. You should fake til you make it and throw that smile on! A great healthy and filling bowl! 5/5 AM Superfoods Bowl with Almond Butter Toast- This was the best chia seed pudding I have ever had. The coconut milk really makes a difference in the texture of the pudding. Only problem was the price was pretty expensive for how little I got (see picture). The almond toast was very basic, just a multigrain toast with natural almond butter on it. 4/5 Hokey Donuts- if you love old fashioned donut holes, these hot the spot! The berry compote goes with it much better than the chocolate sauce (which tastes like Nesquick Syrup). 4/5 Million Dollar Bacon- I can't come here without having this bacon! First time visiting a first watch. We were impressed. It was busy on a Thursday morning around 11 am. We were sat right away and the service was outstanding. Overall the food was solid. Extensive menu options. I am reading through some of the reviews regarding wait times and customer service. It's like people forgot we are still in the middle of a pandemic. Finding help, retaining help is hard. Not to mention employees in the service industry are still contracting Covid and calling out for shifts. If you are the type of person that demands perfection and fast paced service at all times do us all a favor and cook at home. Wait: the restaurant had lot of people waiting up ahead of us. We checked in and took a complimentary coffee while waiting. That's a nice touch not available elsewhere. Food: We ordered omelette with house potatoes, one with egg whites, cheese grits and toast. We also ordered the morning healthy drinks that looked and tasted good. Food is very tasty, flavorful and portion sizes are good. My only complaint is about Cheese grits. It was super hot and my fiancé burned his mouth. Typically he handles hot food but he said this was like piping hot he has to stop eating the grits. Wish we were warned about that. Service: the hostess was clueless and seemed confused. The waiter was ok but seemed busy. We didn't get enough attention so had to seek out to other servers to get our butter, napkins, etc. We had the manager take out the grits off the check. I've always loved the first watch chain, but my biggest gripe is that there is always a wait on weekend mornings. Now I have an app for that and so glad First Watch participates. Before my app I only had the patience to come here twice a year. Since I've been back I noticed tons of changes. This location was revamped and instead of the clean and pristine l look it now has an old farmhouse decor. This works well, but I had no issues with the old atmosphere where you can see right back into the kitchen. The changes to the menu include the Fresh Juice Bar which I absolutely love! I've stopped into First Watch just to get a Kale Tonic to go! The lemon ricotta pancakes are so light yummy. The elevated egg sandwich is pretty good, but I subbed the bacon for salmon. This is a great restaurant to get a tasty and very filling breakfast. It's a nice little restaurant located inside of a shopping center with lots of parking. I went on a random Monday morning so it was not very crowded and I was seated immediately. My waiter was very attentive and helpful throughout my entire time there. I ordered the chorizo omelette which came with potatoes and toast;I also ordered a side of their 'Million Dollar Bacon(Bacon drizzled with honey). The omelette was huge and full of so many tasty ingredients and the potatoes may of been some of the best I've ever had. They also offer some lunch items such as sandwiches and house made juices, but in the last couple times I've gone, I've always wanted to order the breakfast options. My favorite go-to option is called the Trifecta which includes 2 eggs cooked anyway you like, a pancake of your choice, and a side like bacon or sausage. I usually go for the plain pancake flavor which is absolutley scrumptious, but this time I decided to live a little and order the banana granola crunch. I was particularly impressed with it, as it had sliced banana in the batter along with granola that wasnt too sweet and still crunchy as you ate it. They serve it with a delicious dollop of butter and a glass bottle of hot syrup which was delightful. The pitcher of coffee they bring to the table is good too, and you can customize your mug of coffee with the half and half creamer and cane sugar or stevia options already available at the table. I love the food, but I ended up giving 4 stars because this is more of an in and out sit down breakfast place and pay up front on your way out type of spot, which could at times feel a bit rushed. This is not your lounging around , mimosa type take-your-time brunch style place, just to be clear. The service is always very different from incredibly hospitable, fast, and attentive to quite the opposite. This place is amazing! The ambiance, the look, the feel, the design, and spacious. I brought my family here after my cousin recommended this place to us while on vacation (June 2017). I'm sure glad we visited. Upon arrival, there was a short wait, so we sat down. There is nothing blocking the views so the kitchen and the dining room is well visible. So we people watched for the 7 minutes we waited. Lol I ordered their Breakfast Sandwich, the wife had their Quinoa dish with a fried Egg, and I ordered their Belgium Waffles. OMG that Waffle was perfect. I mean simply PERFECT. I ordered another Waffle and shared it with them. My Breakfast Egg Sandwich was a bit weak on the eggs though... Service was excellent, space is clean, portion is adequate, and most importantly food taste great! When I returned to Miami, I search for locations in my area and found a few in Ft. Lauderdale.
