I've eaten at this First Watch multiple times and it's never been anything but a great experience with each meal. It's located quite close to the University of South Florida and depending on what events are happening there this location can get insanely busy. Because of that I really appreciate how they support getting in line virtually with the Yelp or No Wait apps. The quality of the food and the ability to do that make First Watch an obvious choice for brunch. I absolutely love their Floridian french toast, which is brioche toast with kiwis, strawberries, bananas, and powdered sugar. Pair that with some scrambled eggs and I could eat it every day of my life and never get sick of it. The fact that they're located next door to my favorite boba tea shop doesn't hurt either. First Watch is my favorite breakfast spot! The Fowler location is my personal favorite too! I have never had a wait time at this location since I use the live wait time feature on Yelp. All the other locations (Brandon, Downtown) have over an hour wait time any time go but not this location. I come here with friends and family all the time. I always order the french toast which is the perfect amount of food for me. The toast is always covered with some powdered sugar! Sometimes if I am really hungry, I will add a side of bacon to my regular order. It comes with two pieces of french toast and plenty of syrup to drench your plate if you prefer. The customer service is always great and if you make a reservation you can avoid the notorious long wait times. But in all honesty, if you go before 9:30 a.m. you can be seated right away. read more

Breakfast food is the best food. If I could start every morning at First Watch, I would. The food is always fresh, delicious, and they always have new menu items! My favorite standing menu item is the Millionaire Bacon. I got it during this visit, but I was so excited I forgot to take a picture. It's four slices of hardwood smoked bacon with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and a maple syrup drizzle. Get. It. Every. Time. I also love eggs Benedict, so this time I went for the salmon version with greens. Perfectly salty and goes well with the sweet bacon. Last but not least, the coffee is always fresh and delicious and I love that they leave a pot at your table. Honorable mention to the Key Lime Pancakes that are currently on the summer menu. Managers and servers were walking the floor and they were really welcoming. I ordered the wheat germ pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. The pancakes were awesome. They make the batter themselves with their special recipe. I know what you're thinking, yuck, grainy, but it wasn't! This pancake was sweet but not so much that you feel like you're having dessert for breakfast. Eggs were fresh, though they weren't organic, they were really great quality, Egg Lands Best quality, actually( I asked the sever). Bacon was well cooked, toasty but not burned. Overall a simply delicious breakfast. My daughter enjoyed the huge chocolate chip pancakes which she devoured without letting me try them lol. My friends want to have clean diet lunch near the USF area. I was able to locate one since I have been to the first watch near USF. My friend is a picky eater and he is not a vegan but he watches his diet carefully. It is challenging when one of your group people want a clean diet food. I only can think a few choices. We are great able to accommodate his need. I saw the first thing he has order is the kale tonic. It is kale, cucumber, lemon and Fuji Apple. Very healthy. No sugar added. This afternoon I have the smoke Salmon and Roasted Vegetable Frittata. It has the roasted shallots and tomatoes in the egg that create the sensation of the taste. Good touch. I leave after eating confident that I didn't overeat. I love to get the Traditional Breakfast, it is simple and very yummy. I would suggest getting it if you're a picky eater. I love this place but I cannot give it a 5 stars review. Some days when you order food there, it can be cold. Why it was cold nobody knows. It happened to me several times. Most likely it happens just in that location because in other First Watch locations I never had that experience. The last time I was there my friends ordered Eggs Benedict. When a lady brought their eggs, they were boiled. They were not Eggs Benedict at all. We understand that during the rush hour it might be busy but it does not mean that food should not cook the proper way how it supposed to be. That was really disappointing. Out of all the locations I've been, I gotta say that this was the best looking one I've seen! Each one looks a little different, and this one was huge. It was shaped like a big square, really spread out, and had some nice designs on the walls. Food wise, First Watch is a goldmine for the healthy-food eater, but even someone who isn't health-conscious will indulge in these meals! They have something for everyone, omelettes, waffles, pancakes, toast, yogurt, hash browns, meaty dishes...everything. And all of the food has it's own flare that keeps it being anything but basic. They're regular menu has a great offering, but there's always a small seasonal menu they give with it that has about 6 dishes. Along with our regular meals, we ordered off this menu something called "Rainbow Toast". It was a toasted brioche bread with ricotta cheese, strawberries, blueberries, mango and a brown sugar cinnamon granola, drizzled in honey. THIS. WAS. AMAZING. I never would've thought to add granola or even honey to my toast, obviously I've always just used syrup. But this worked so well, and was one of the best toasts I've ever eaten. I really liked the Tri-athelte omelette with fruit. The raison d'etre is the pancakes. They have a lot of creative pancakes, such as banana granola, cranberry nut, pecan, blueberry, chocolate chip.Compared to IHOP, they're huge. I'd say 7-8 inches in diameter. They're all yummy and very filling. For a big guy, I can only eat 2 of them. Most women would probably be fine with 1. Thor could probably eat 3 before smashing the plate. :) Being a cheap guy, I usually get 2 pancakes for 5 bucks. Service is always polite, quick, and friendly. This is my our family's first visit to First Watch. After passing the Alpharetta location in Georgia, I thought this would be a great chance to try the restaurant while vacationing in Florida. Upon entering the restaurant, we were never greeted. My husband had to ask the third employee, who could have been the manager or assistant to. While our server was nice, the food was not very good. Although we placed or children's order first and he returned for our order, we received our food first and the kids had to wait for their food; they didn't want our food. All of the glasses and the four sets of silverware were dirty with food and smears. My husband's oj glass had lipstick from some previous patron. When the kids fid did arrive, the server said he'd return with syrup, but didn't. My husband received no condiments with his burger. Upon requesting mayo and yellow mustard from another server, he was told that it would be returned. Minutes later, our server shows up after a long hiatus. We informed him that we were waiting on condiments. He said the other server would return with the condiments. The other server shows up without condiments and days that he told our server. Meanwhile, our server shows up without condiments and informed us that he made the request and he was waiting for the cook to give him condiments. Furthermore, they didn't have yellows mustard, they only had dijon and some other. When he consumed a bite of his veggie burger, it was cold so my husband was disappointed with his meal and experience. While I understand that they may have been busier than normal for a Wednesday afternoon, being improperly staffed created a negative customer experience for my family. However on a high now, the horchata made with cashew milk, and the kale tonic were really good. I would return strictly for a drink in a to go cup. read more

I highly suggest getting the 100% maple syrup for an additional 1.25 cause it's WORTH IT. It comes in a tiny resealable bottle if you have any leftover syrup to take home. Belgian waffle is indeed airy and fluffy as it's titled on the menu! Ask for it with the trifecta and it'll hit the spot. Don't be afraid to ask your eggs done how you like because they will cook it exactly as you want! They have a whole wheat toast topped with hierloom tomatoes, burrata, and sprouts.
