Only one star because of the good service. Waiting 1 hour for this incredibly basic restaurant is only the half of it. As soon as I finished the biscuits and gravy something didn't sit right and it wasn't the overwhelming amount of pepper in the gravy. It was food poisoning. Feeling pretty stuffed from the Farmhouse Hash I just ate at First Watch in Troy. I've heard of this restaurant before from relatives that have one near them but this is my first visit to the one near me. As an avid Eggs Benedict fan, I was unfortunately not impressed with theirs at all. So much so that I couldn't eat it and had to send it back. It was very watery and tasted of vinegar and the bread it came on was not hardy enough to hold up to the liquid and weight of the egg. My serverr, Kelsey, gave me no problems with changing it out for a different dish and suggested the Farmhouse Hash. She remembered that I did not like the tomatoes that came on the Florentine Eggs Benedict and asked the cooks to remove them from the hash. Very intuitive and much appreciated! Otherwise, the coffee was good and hot, the free wifi was nice and my overall experience was good. I'll take more time to peruse the menu a little longer when I return for my next visit. read more

Yesterday I had gone to first watch and again, very slow service, but my 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad has 2 separate hairs in it. Been to this location quite a few times. However, the last two times the service was terrible. The food didn't come out for about 30 minutes, no water refills, didn't give us silverware which we had to wait an additional 8 minutes longer before we could even eat. My eggs were extremely soggy and lukewarm, the mixed greens that came with didn't have enough dressing, and the hollandaise has no flavor. Loved this place since they've opened. There's a variety of options for everyone. The menu is available online. The food is very clean. Service is friendly and fast. I do wish they had more options as far as fresh juice. They also do not make lattes. The only true negative here is there always seems to be a long wait. We went to a first watch in Nashville and loved it so we were so excited when one went in near us. Went this morning..... the food was great! We went for the specials and they were amazing. We did get forgotten when we were being seated and had to wait over 45 min for food before being served, but our waitress was absolutely great, and they ended up comping our meal even though we didn't complain at all. The waitress came up at the end of our meal and just apologized for the wait and said we were all set. She handled the kitchen back up.... which wasn't her fault at all... like a champ. I have been to first watch two times and each time my order was wrong. First I got the elevated egg sandwich and the eggs were suppose to be over east but they were over cooked and the yolk was hard. The second time I got the farmhouse skillet hash and asked for no tomatoes or onions in it. After 30 minutes of waiting for food and our drinks my meal had onions and tomatoes in it. I was mostly upset set because the meal took so long to make and it still came out wrong. Also the potatoes we ordered were raw. Not a good experience read more

The wait was incredible. I got inline on the app. Showed up 5 mins before I was expected and ended up waiting another 45 mins to be seated. I can understand a long line, but I was pissed to see that there were empty tables, but they just didn't have enough servers to seat folks. Tried for the first time today. Took my mom, who can be a fussy eater. She enjoyed the breakfast she got, which was the traditional; eggs any style, meat choice of Bacon, seasoned potatoes, and multi grain toast. I tried the potatoes, they were ok. A little oily. I didn't care for how they were cooked with onions tho. Too overpowering for me. But my mom liked it so that's all that matters I got the Trifecta breakfast. Eggs any style, bacon, and a Belgian waffle that came with a warm mixed berry compote!! (So good) Our server was very courteous. For a Monday mid-morning I didn't expect it to be as busy. Food portions was good. Coffee was great -loved that they give & leave a little carafe at the table! We didn't have to wait for refills! No drink ordered was taken, nor was the typical glass of water presented. I had to request a round of water. Which also came in glass bottle for refills. Too bad the water was room temperature & I would have like iced & a straw. I'm sure I could have asked but after a while, you hate to keep " asking" for these little things. Prior to, I had to request cream for the coffee (the bowl at the table was empty) I also had to ask for napkins. Our server came by twice after our food was brought out. Once immediately and the second time to make sure the food tasted good. While the food was tasty, we didn't let him know it was lukewarm and both of our scrambled eggs were a little raw in one small area. Also, I wished they had asked if we'd like butter on our toast , not just assume so and putting on a very very thick coating. Waitstaff doesn't come by to clear the table from empty plates or from trash (empty coffee creamer containers) Overall- food was decent, tasted fresh, presented well. Food was good, but the wait is what ruined everything. I told was 5 times it would be 10mins for our food and they would keep telling me a little bit longer. I tired calling during lunch, but nobody answered the phone 3 times. So when I went in to order they took my order and said it would be ready in 15 mins.
