I've typically enjoyed my experiences at this First Watch, but I recently placed an order for the "Good Morning" pack for 4 people and received a pitiful amount of food. The order allegedly consisted of 12 scrambled eggs and the fruit was supposed to be enough for 4 people. I should note that I ordered the "Good Morning" pack for 2 people the previous day and received the exact same portion of eggs (supposed to be 6 eggs for 2 people) and more fruit. I called the restaurant to question the amount of food we received and the cook who prepared the food condescendingly stated that I was wrong. I truthfully wouldn't have posted this review if the cook wasn't so rude. I was disappointed with the portions and the customer service. I like to think of First Watch as an upgraded version of Denny's and IHOP. This time, I got the healthy turkey omelette, sub toast with potatoes. Mmmmmm. The potatoes were crispy, and the egg white omelette was cooked perfectly (not burnt or overdone). Love this place for breakfast. The service is wonderful with nice staff who are also informative. Everything is fresh and feels like home made. They have a wild selection of healthy and hardy meal that is sure to satisfy and not feel heavy after. My favorite is the quinoa bowls. It's a nice portion and packed full of flavor. Their omelettes are really good too. If you like a nutritious meal with whole grains, free range, and special made than here is the place to go. Last thing are their drink specials which can be experimental to non-juicers but we'll balanced and delicious. The thing that sucks is the long wait. To combat the time is to use the app which you can register yourself and see how long the wait is. Also it closes very early around 2pm so it is not an all day special. It is becoming more popular and the place is sort of small but there are other locations. Currently they are renovating so I am sure the atmosphere will be fresh and hip like their food. The location is also good with sufficient parking but again it has become more popular with the weekend breakfast crowded. So parking is getting more cramped. read more

This place rules! I have never had even a slightly negative experience here. The place is clean, staff is friendly and the food... They have a regular menu that's packed full of breakfast variety as well as a seasonal menu that changes semi-regularly. Right now they have a pumpkin pancake special that donates to the www.nokidhungry.com foundation. I have not tried it, due to my lack of obsession over pumpkin spiced things. What I did try, last time, was the mushroom frittata and the pork chop and egg special. So flipping good! This round we started with the butternut squash soup, with sour cream on the side. They put quite a bit in the bowl and I feel like it diluted the flavor. On the side is perfect because hints every now and then were perfect. I ordered the Benedict this time around and got the salmon and vine grown tomato as the topping. The farm fresh cage free eggs really made the dish shine with the bright orange yolk. The greens they serve as a side were fantastic with a subtle vinaigrette dressing. Josh chose the "chickichanga". So much food! The "changa" was stuffed with chicken and chorizo as well as other goodies. The wrap itself was an omelette and a flour tortilla combo that had a lovely crisp to it. Another thing I really like about the service is they set a pot of coffee and large bottle of water on the table for you to pour at your leisure. I have never run out of coffee but I have asked for a second bottle of water, which they happily provide. Finally, they do have an app that allows you to "get in line" while you make your way to the restaurant. Pretty cool, especially on those busy weekend mornings when everyone wants breakfast. It's saved me at least 10 minutes of waiting on one specific occasion. I had the Market Skillet with coffee. My husband ordered the Million Dollar bacon and French Toast. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. This whole grain pancake was humongous and delicious! There were full banana slices in it cooked perfectly. The eggs were scrambled just as requested. And the mimosa was also delicious. The orange juice had a bit of pulp in it. I typically don't like pulp in my orange juice but it wasn't overwhelming. Also, it was packed! We love this place for breakfast or lunch and after roughly 8-10 visits, it has yet to disappoint. The First Watch in Cleveland Hts is our go to place when we are looking for breakfast or lunch. It's actually hard to pick another place over them because we've had such good experiences there. The service has been spot on and their large special (chalk) board showcases their latest culinary creations as soon as you walk in. There's even coffee you can self-serve while you wait for a table. NICE! Today, they had three things on the board that grabbed my attention immediately. It was very difficult to choose, but I decided to go for the carbonara eggs benedict... (I may nickname it the Bonara Benny) This benny was quite the amazing benny and I was so glad I went for it. At its base was chibata bread with some special bacon and two poached cage-free eggs, along with a creamy Parmesan sauce and I was enchanted. I'm very happy to say that my decision ended up being both delicious and filling. I occasionally added some of the Cholula hot sauce they keep on every table and it was a welcome peppery heat. Lil miss Alison went with the Tri-athlete, which is a regular menu item at First Watch. This is an egg white omelette with Crimini mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and green chillies. They serve it with housemade pico de gallo, whole grain artisan toast, all-natural house preserves (Yum!) and fresh fruit. The service is always amazing here and they're so friendly. The atmosphere is very comfortable and you get a full view of their clean kitchen. They have open tables and closed booths, if you get the chance to pick your preferred seating arrangement. They also have a sweet app that lets you grab a seat on your way to the restaurant. (Pro tip) I also dig their responsible ways such as their donations to great causes when you buy certain meals and even their reduction of dumb things that harm the environment like straws. My group of 8 came to First Watch for brunch on a Saturday morning around 11:30 am. There was no line when we arrived. We had to wait only briefly for them to clear some tables and move them together. A large crowd came while we were waiting. We were seated and experienced VERY attentive service. Our server was great, very funny and friendly. We were quickly brought water and coffee, which were both left on the table for convenient refills. I was dining with some slightly difficult eaters, but he was very accommodating. The first half of our party got their food SUPER quickly but it was about 5-10 minutes before the other half got theirs- that was my only qualm. Food-wise everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals. I had the Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos. It came with three tacos full of scrambled eggs, chicken, chorizo, and cheese topped with a slice of avocado each and their house-made pico de gallo. The meal came with black beans but I subbed it for a cup of berries (you can specify if you want berries as opposed to just a regular fruit cup, not sure if it was an extra charge). I was really happy with my meal! Perfect amount of food. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of flavor in the meal. The chorizo and pico de gallo really exceeded my expectations. We were there for a total of an hour and 45 minutes before we got our food. That includes waiting over an hour to get seated. The server was not very friendly. We asked for utensils and she snapped at us that they were being rolled. Then the ones we received were still dirty. Once we saw how understaffed they were while we were waiting to be seated we should've left and went elsewhere. After a night out about the town, this is definitely a place to go to resume your healthy side. Give your skin some nice moisture and boost up on Vitamin C by soaking up their freshly squeezed orange juice (only 3.39!). It is absolutely sweet and tangy. You can also cure any hangovers with their delicious Sunrise coffee...a whole pot of it if it pleases you for just a few dollars. I first heard about First Watch through a friend. My first reaction: "First Watch? Sounds like an insurance company" My friend: "Yeah, I thought it was some sort of weight loss program" Another friend who I invited along: "Oh that place? I thought they sold watches!" I didn't have any, but my friend said it tasted good. We got seated and the waitress took our orders. When it came to my turn to order, I pointed out what I wanted on the menu (eggs benedict florentine) and the waitress repeated what I said. About five minutes later, another waitress comes by and asks us "whoever had the skillet, how did you want your eggs?" We all look at each other- no one ordered a skillet? The waitress said she'd get the original waitress to sort it out. Well... a few minutes after that, yet another waitress comes along and sorts out our orders. Apparently the person taking my order wrote down skillet instead of eggs benedict, even though she repeated what I had ordered, and saw what I had pointed to on the menu. To be fair, she was new on the job, but in general it seemed like the service was unorganized (after we got all our food yet ANOTHER waitress came by with another order of my friend's food- oops for them) So.... food is good, service is spotty, and I was slightly grossed out by the bits of stuck on egg that was left on my knife.
