A neighborhood favorite of mine. Today, I went off the beat and path and ordered a seasonal item. It was the honey, lemon, and orange pancakes. It was 3 stacks of a fresh citrus flavor! Perfect to get me in the mood for springtime. While the meal itself wasn't filling for me, it was very good. The plate presentation was on point as well. My husband ordered the chicken salad with a spring salad mix on the side. He enjoyed it, again he didn't get full but it hit the hunger spot. All in all, I will visit again. read more

The First Watch chain of restaurants is probably my favorite way to get breakfast in the Tampa area. Their fun, colorful drinks and delicious brunch items are just such a treat. They have some really interesting, unique recipes that make them stand apart from other brunch restaurants. The problem I have with this Wesley Chapel location is consistency. Sometimes the food is great and sometimes it is not. For example, with the lemon ricotta pancakes (which are huge) oftentimes there's not enough lemon ricotta that comes with them. Also, sometimes you get thick, delicious dollops of lemon ricotta and sometimes you get a runny, melted blob of it. It's so frustrating because when they are on their A game it is definitely a five-star experience. read more

Upon entering the restaurant, the hostess greeted us and sat us at the table. Soon after, the wonderful server greeted us with a smile and took our orders as we were ready to place them. My daughter ordered the Seasonal Meal of Bananas Foster French Toast (sorry cannot remember price) and Herbal Mint Tea $3.99. I ordered coffee $2.75 and Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict $13.59 with greens and lemon dressing. our drinks appeared quickly on the table with a variety of creams and lemon. After a short wait, our meals were delivered to our table hot, quickly, and correctly. We did not expect such large portion sizes especially for the Bananas Foster French Toast. My daughter had to get a to go container for her to take back half for lunch. She was not upset at all about round 2 at home. LOL My meal was so delicious and filling. I loved the side salad. I was worried that I was going to regret not getting the potatoes. Honestly, I was very happy I did not order those as it would have been way too much to eat. Came here for breakfast and it was fantastic. Our server was very friendly and energetic. Their menu is large so I just asked him for what I wanted, eggs, bacon and French toast, he said no problem they can do that. My girlfriend has some carnitas omelette which honestly didn't sound very good to me but was awesome! I also like they leave a whole pot of coffee, nothing I hate more than waiting around for someone to refill my coffee. Coffee was good, eggs were very good and so was French toast. I started out with a cup Of coffee and my coworker started with a Morning Meditation that I was calling a "Mind Eraser". Look like a fancy bar drink from my past. All kidding aside she allowed me to taste her drink and it was very flavorful. She ordered the truffled mushroom hash and I ordered the short rib omelet. Both meals were very satisfying. The eggs in my omelet were light and fluffy and the hollandaise sauce was a nice compliment to the ham, sausage, mushrooms and onions in my short rib......WAIT.... there was no short rib, no spinach, no a bunch of ingredients. Oh well. Next time I'll order the western omelet and I'll end up with a short rib omelet. It was a tasty omelet whatever it was. I hope the other patron enjoyed my short rib omelet. My coworker really enjoyed her mushroom truffle thing..... It looked like a salad over breakfast. This was our first First Watch experience and it was memorable thanks to the friendly and efficient staff. The pancakes were delicious and so was the egg hash. The restaurant looks very inviting and drew quite a crowd when we were there. Outside parking is plenty albeit it not necessarily right in front. The location is off to the side in a large open shopping complex. Next time we are planning to use the app for a to go order. While they seemed to be catering to DoorDash, UberEats etc. our order and that of another party who had ordered directly from the restaurant seemed to fall by the wayside in that it was ready but nobody seem to notice. read more

Inconsistent food / Togo pickup. Whenever I show up for my order at the scheduled time I need to wait in a crowded space for 30-45 minutes. Same time it takes to be seated at a table. One time my order was never made and I waited half an hour before someone noticed. Another time, my order was provided to another customer. Neither time did management offer more than a quick apology. Please either fix the application to include accurate pickup times, or designate someone to ensure that takeout orders are properly managed. read more

Maybe it's the early morning long runs. Maybe it's the not so vegan friendly offerings. Maybe it's the bad coffee and sugary carbs. I haven't quite pinpointed what it is that makes me a breakfast homebody. I'd rather sit in my own kitchen drinking a homemade smoothie and eating fried potatoes and vegan sausage hash than go out to a restaurant. So when my coworkers gave me a gift card to First Watch, I thanked them awkwardly, thinking the whole time about how little they know me and put the gift card in a drawer full of forgotten items. It sat there for months. When a weekend breakfast emergency arose, I remembered the gift card and decided it was as good of a time as any to load up the family and head to First Watch. The first thing I realized when we arrived at the restaurant was that other people don't seem to share my love of being a breakfast homebody. This place was packed. We were put on a waiting list, forty minutes long. First Watch has teamed up with NoWait, a free app that keeps tabs on where you are in line, so I downloaded it and headed over to Don Pan to pick up some toddler snacks. A little less than forty minutes later NoWait informed me that my table was ready so we headed back to be seated. After being seated, our server came to us within moments and took our drink orders. We were given a few minutes to peruse the menu and I was pleased to learn that First Watch isn't just eggs, bagels, pancakes and meat. They also offer some healthy options including quinoa bowls, granola, parfaits and wraps. Traditionalists, fear not, there is a long list of waffles, pancakes, eggs and meats as well. I opted for the power breakfast. This is a bowl that includes a choice of muesli or granola, nuts, raisins and wheat germ. It is then topped with fresh fruit and cinnamon. Normally it is served with yogurt but I asked for that to be removed. Despite removing the yogurt, the bowl packed a tasty punch. I thought the granola was good, not too hard or dry, and it meshed well with the nuts and raisins that accompanied it. The bowl was topped with fresh strawberries (that I could actually taste) and bananas. My wife ordered a waffle with berry compote. She thought the waffle was good, she thought the berry compote was even better. So did my toddler who, once the waffle was finished, opted to eat the rest of the compote with a spoon. Our waitress was super attentive and constantly checked in to see if we needed anything. Our food came out quickly and accurately. I was quite impressed with the service considering the line of people at the door waiting to get in and the fact that every single seat in the place was taken. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to First Watch. I love that they accommodated my diet without having to depend on sugary carbs. If a breakfast emergency ever arises again, First Watch will definitely be on my short list of places to go. That being said, First Watch hasn't changed my thoughts about being a breakfast homebody. There isn't something on the menu that I think, man, I can't make that at home, let's go to First Watch to get it. For that, three stars is all I can muster. read more

I've been to this spot about 3 times and each time DID NOT MISS!!! New to the area officially (first 2 times I was visiting) my 3rd visit was on Valentines Day as a resident!! Safe to say, I have to control myself from not coming at least 2x a week. The food is super clean, delicious and on point. Started with some coffee and was stoked that they had oat milk - a few different types of sugar on the table (bonus for me as I love options) perfect cup. I ordered a hash skillet, my nephews had the cutest, generous portions of French toast and pancakes with bacon and fruit. My brother wasn't too hungry so he ordered a yogurt bowl with granola and berries which came with a side of some toast with almond butter, a pinch of flakey salt and what I believe was a drizzle of agave. He isn't easily impressed and he really enjoyed his meal. The toast isn't your average toast, they're healthy cuts of whole grain with great flavor and body. Ended the meal with mimosas, the orange juice was pure and didn't taste like store bought, it came with your own personal bottle of champagne which was super cute. If you're looking for a good brunch spot with plenty of options do not hesitate to come visit this establishment. The options range from healthy fresh juices, coffees, skillets, sandwiches, sweets, the list goes on. Perfect place to satisfy a health nut or someone looking for a heavy meal. My only complaint would be the lemon wedges that were served with my brothers juice. Seemed as if the seeds were discolored and the lemon may have been on its way out. Great food a bit pricey but you get what you pay for in terms of flavor. Alway busy and even with a packed house the wait staff are incredibly kind and attentive. My favorite menu item (cheddar bacon pancakes) was taken off the menu a while back but to this day they make them for me. I just can't get enough of the food here. Honestly, it's a battle when I'm here to decide what to get. Breakfast or lunch? Everything on the menu just sounds SO good and I know that what's served will deliver on that, too! Soups are great here. Broccoli Cheddar is a fave. Rarely do I order salads, but the Superfood Kale with it's cooked carrots and dried cranberries is unique, crunchy, fresh and delish! I also really Like the Ham and Gruyere sandwich. For breakfast, million dollar bacon is amazing. It's sweet and also spicy. Their eggs Benedict (any of them) are amazing, same with the omelets. Pancakes are huge, and the carrot cake pancakes are phenomenal. Good selection of fresh juices, too. I like that I can use the NoWait app to put my name on the (always long) list early. I placed my order at 10:25 and received an email stating the food would be ready at 10:45. 10:45 rolls around, I go in and let the hostess know I placed an order and she said to give it 5-10 minutes because the to go orders are backed up. 11:00 rolls around, no sign of my food. It's 11:10 when I finally asked someone what the status was on my food and they said they would check. She comes back to the register and doesn't even acknowledge I'm still standing there, no update whatsoever. Finally at 11:20 my food comes out and no apologies or even a "have a good day". I live 5 minutes away from this location and when I got home not only was my food cold, but the hash I had ordered was the size of a kid's meal. Usually I have no issues with this place, but this experience totally ruined it for me. It's one thing to say your orders are backed up, but it's another to see people be seated and have their food served to them while I'm standing there waiting on a TO GO order. This place needs to get their stuff together and their employees should be a little more compensating. read more

We tried FW again today & it was good. There were a few glitches but nothing major. Pot of coffee was almost cold when delivered. It was replaced, but without a cup! Our breakfasts were very good, but it was so cool in there they cooled off quickly. Our biggest negative was the pop music that was blaring so loud. It made it hard to talk across the table to each other. A smoother easier listening music would be more appropriate in our opinion. read more

What a delight! The service of this place started even before we were seated. Even though there was a long wait, there's was complimentary coffee, and the host offered to take orders ahead of time so the food could be prepared during our wait. OMG! This is such a brilliance. The restaurant is clean with cute chalkboard signs. I really like the Florida vintage painting over the wall in the waiting area. The host (blonde young man who worked Saturday shift 12/16 this morning, Thank YOU!) even offered me samples of their fresh juices when I couldn't decide. I was touched by their service even before trying their food. Once seated, our friendly server came over with all our drinks at once. And within few minutes, BOOM! All our orders came out to a tee. And the food was so good. Daughter1 got classic eggs Benedict. Daughter2 got kids chocolate chip pancakes bigger than her head! BUT.... this location needs some re-training. I'm at the community table, just me. Please give me water and coffee. Please clear the place settings from the exiting single diners around me. I call the store they offer to make it again and I can come pick it up, I'm sick so that's not happening so they tell me to call Uber. Thankfully Uber refunded my money no questions asked. Well I open up my "Bowl" of tomato soup and the container is only halfway full! I'm beyond pissed, sick and starving! Visited again this past Saturday. I used the app when I left home to "get in line". The app said about a 35 minute wait. We arrived about thirty minutes later. The hostess was not immediately able to find our entry but I persisted (gave her my phone number) and she found it. We were seated in less than five minutes. High marks for the app. Since they were smaller last time, I ordered two blueberry pancakes. My wife and I split our entrees (she had the Egg Frittata). We were full and could have shared one pancake (still not sure if they are smaller then a few years ago). Again, $10 for an egg plate seems high to us, but is in line with other places. Would like lower prices but otherwise, no complaints. Oh, one thing... The two-top tables were about 36x24 and were set so that we were at the ends of the 36" sides. Too far apart for us. They obviously did this so the tables would not interfere with foot traffic. Next time I will ask for different seating. read more

Never disappointed with First Watch. This is a good spot if you want a meal that you will not feel guilty about later. They have fresh choices that could be lean and a healthier choice if that's what you want. Yes I prefer to order there light and airy fluffy waffle but no I don't want to wear it on my butt later! Lol they have good waffles however I did order the market veg omelette with a small order of grits....couldn't help it! I have to cheat a little. Very tasty and satisfying. The omelette has kale, mushroom, onions and goat cheese that give it a wonderful taste.
