In order to post, I had to give them stars. I chose one but they deserved None . We ordered two combination meals to go . One container only had about 3 tablespoons of the entrée, the rest was filled with rice. I could understand if the place was packed when I got there, but I was the only one there and there were no other orders to be picked up.. it used to be a good place to order from. I don't know if they're new owners or just new employees who don't care. I did call to tell them but the guy on the phone had absolutely nothing to say. Ordered my usual beef and broccoli from this generally delicious and polite Chinese restaurant. Gentleman on the phone said 10 minutes and hung up. Upon arriving he says pepper steak. I'm like no beef and broccoli at which point he gets standoffish and accused me of lying. 8 don't even know what is in pepper steak, very rude. Bring your best God vibes if you go into this restaurant. You're gonna need that calming energy cuz this dude is rude as hell. Smh read more

Way overdue writing a review. Coming here for many years. Great takeout spot in keyport. There are also some tables if you prefer to eat in. Great variety and the usually have blackboard specials. Easy to order by phone and usually ready in 10-20 minutes. We always pick up but they do deliver. Food is always fresh and consistent. Would definitely recommend. read more

First wok Rules! I lived in town for years and these guys have been fast and consistent since they opened. It's a take out and delivery place they have a couple American girls taking care of the phones and they have been here for more than 10 years. They are fast and efficient. The food is terrific. An above average chinese restaurant. Prices are comparable to any other place but in my opinion, the food is higher quality. I believe their flavor is more balanced than most places. For example, their boneless spare ribs are not too sauced up like other versions. Not too salty either. Their pork fried rice is REAL and above average. I am pretty surprised by the very low ratings, and they actually kept me from trying this place for so long. We tried so many Chinese restaurants in the area after moving from Staten Island, and we were disappointed in all of them. We did find one we liked enough, but then they served me food that wasn't fresh three times (dried out spare ribs, hard fried rice and burnt roast pork), so we decided to try First Wok. We really liked it. We've been ordering from them for several months now and the food has been consistently fresh and good. I would not say it's as good as our Staten Island take outs, but it's pretty close. We have ordered quite a few things, and liked them all. Our go to's include the house special wonton soup, hot and sour soup, lo-mein, sweet and sour chicken, chicken and broccoli, boneless ribs, General's chicken and orange chicken. All have been good. If you want the chicken and broccoli in brown sauce though, you have to specify...otherwise it's in a white sauce. Quick delivery...order always correct. Give it a try. read more

Terrible experience. There were pieces of aluminum scrubber in my ma po tofu. It went it my stomach while eating it and soon after I threw up (vomited). I had to rest for 2 hours and we tossed the map po tofu and the other two lunch specials fearing more such food poisoning. ( I still have one piece preserved). Later me and my wife went there and told the story to the guy. He said all they can do is give me the $8:50 for the ma po tofu. I did explain him all the wasted food, wasted time and wasted money. But the old owner just gave me $8:50 back. I did not have time to fight with them so we just left. Lesson: my strong belief is: the place is totally unclean and people who wash the pots leave the cleaning powder and metal scrubber pieces in the pots that are used to cook the food. Not sure what else goes into the pots that are used to cook. I will never go there again and i would recommend others to stay away from this place for your safety. Had food delivered to my home use to use China Wok on Port Monmouth rd in Middletown but because I received a flyer I decided to go with first wok. Food arrived in a soaked paper bag entree had spilled. Not usually a problem but when I opened my Moo Shi vegetables it smelled burnt. After turning the food over I found both burnt mushrooms and pea pods hidden on the bottom. I called to complain and was offered a replacement meal after several attempts trying to explain what was wrong, this was 930pm on a Wednesday night. 50 min later the meal arrived. In the meantime i thought I would eat my egg rolls only to find them sitting in a 1/2 " of grease with paper towels remnants soaked with grease. Will never order their again!
