It's that time again. It's been about 3months since I've been here. Stopped in for dinner to celebrate my sister's bday. It wasn't busy when we arrived around 4ish on a Sunday early evening but shortly after, it got busy. Ordered our usual and I was so full. Love the oysters & sashimi. Always so fresh! Staff were so friendly. I'll be back soon again

Sea bass and lamb chops part of $50 AYCE set menu

My parents recently discovered the secret menu that is the $50 all you can eat! Either it's a special deal for just my Asian mandarin speaking parents, or it might be the real deal! It was the waiter's recommendation when my father and his friends came over after some golf. While 50 large isn't something to sneeze at, nowadays it's just about there with 2 rolls! What does it come with? It starts with a set menu of slices of high grade and generous cut of sashimi, ami ebi, toro, hamachi, salmon tuna etc. lobster roll, oysters with uni on top, cooked dishes of hamachi kama, sea bass and lamb chops! With more people comes more rolls as well. Edamame is also included. Give it a try and see what happens! Supposedly, if you finish all of this and still have an appetite (we were done long before then) you can order more dishes!

I've been to Ebisu a couple times and always more impressed than the last visit. The restaurant is spacious, clean with attentive service. We ordered the spicy edamame, tiger roll, caterpillar roll and sashimi special. Every dish Ebisu makes looks like a culinary work of art - and tastes just as great. The portions are tremendous. The sashimi special is enough for two and the sushi rolls are quite large. We spent over two hours and still had plenty of leftovers. Ebisu is everything you could ask for and more.

We were celebrating one belated birthday, one job update, and one new house for three separate special ladies. I wanted to celebrate with a nice lunch and after reading a few reviews of restaurants located in Elk Grove, I decided to go with EBISU and these guys did not disappoint. Our party of 7 ordered a decent size spread that included the following: * 2 Truffle Hamachi * 2 Super Combos * 1 Double Toro Roll * 1 Rainbow Roll * 1 Elk Grove Special Roll * 1 Fresh Oysters (dozen) * 2 Miso Soups * 2 Side Salads * 1 Bento Box - Mixed Tempura and Beef Teriyaki * 1 Wagyu Roll * 1 Mixed Tempura * 1 Cream Crepe Cake Presentation was lovely (see photos), sashimi was fresh, and the flavors were spot on. For example, we had the truffle hamachi prepared two ways with two different sauces -- absolutely delicious. Oh, don't forget to request for the fresh pickled wasabi. It was a $500 lunch after taxes and gratuity, and I would say it was worth every penny.

Good fresh sushi! Definitely hit the spot. Came here on a Saturday, around 5:30 and was surprised there was no wait. Our server was super friendly and great! Food of excellent and the oyster shots were on point!

If you're looking to switch up your usual sushi spot in Elk Grove, Ebisu is definitely worth a visit! Came here on a Saturday night expecting a crowd, but surprisingly it was pretty calm and we were seated right away. The space itself is huge, super clean, and has a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your meal. Service was also a highlight, everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. We went all in on the menu and ordered the fresh oysters (half with uni, half regular), double toro roll, Ebisu roll, tonkatsu ramen, and the sushi taco. Honestly... everything was sooo good. You can really tell the quality of the fish here is top-tier. The standout of the night was easily the double toro roll- so buttery, rich, and perfectly balanced. Every bite just melted in your mouth. That alone is worth coming back for. For a first visit, Ebisu definitely made a strong impression. Between the quality, service, and overall experience, I'd absolutely come back to explore more of the menu!

Came in on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but we got sat right away without a wait. Ordered the teriyaki and sesame chicken entrees. They brought out my fiancés food first, and mine finally like 15 mins later. They must've forgotten about mine because by the time mine came out, the chicken was piping hot but the veggies on the plate were already cold. Not even room temperature, but just cold. My fiancé was literally already done eating by that time. I was pretty disappointed but didn't want to make a fuss. Service was moving slow, no one ever checked on us. I wasn't impressed this time. Sauce was also a little salty today. Hope it's better next time.

Came by on a Friday night around 6pm and we were seated quickly as a party of two. Seemed they had a larger birthday party in a private room but this did not slow down service. We ordered the Sacramento, caterpillar, spider and lobster rolls, which are all cooked rolls. We also got the gesso and soft shell crab as appetizers. Half of our rolls came out before the appetizers did. Staff were good about clearing plates out of the way as we finished. Enjoyed all the food but I'd probably ask for less sauce on the sushi rolls next time.

Bc of their coupon in the EG Marketplace flyer we only knew about this restaurant. We actually visited it prior to those coupons with friends though. Am I making sense? Of course not! I know. Silly me! lol Their food is decent but better in house to tell you the truth. Lots of parking in their huge lot & service is fast & convenient. We like the chill ambiance & it's very relaxing here. We prefer eating in the restaurant just bc to go well you know what happens. It's just not the same. I think they know us here as frequent as we have been here!!! My favorite is the chirashi bowl & my wife likes the steak chimichurri with steamed veggies. It's truly delicious. Reluctantly to write reviews bc once the word gets out it gets too busy! Oh the first time we were here that humongous sushi roll was cool to see!!! I remembered my wife ordering the chicken teriyaki & it was totally immersed with sauce so ask for sauce on the side! Mark my words!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally made it there for lunch. I ordered theTonkatsu Ramen. It was better than some of the other local places but I've had better in Bay Area and So Cal. Service was a little slow as there was only one person taking orders, and there was a big party in the side room. The place was a lot bigger than I thought. Might give it another try in the future so I can try their sushi.

My first time visiting this restaurant. Nice size to accommodate small and large groups. We were seated right away. Menu offered a different variety of items that I dont normally see. So if you're being adventurous with raw fish, its the place for you. Service was decent and food was really good. It felt like we ordered everything. -Green tea -Gyoza -Bbq spare ribs -Teriyaki chicken -Beef Teriyaki -Lobster roll

    Terri S.

Service was phenomenal! Our waitress was consistent on checking up on us, refilling our beverages, and overall just really friendly. The food was equally just as phenomenal. We got a few rolls, oysters, clay rice pot. Everything was fresh, lots of flavor, and sauced very well. Their presentation was also really beautiful. I tried things I would definitely order next time. The restaurant is pretty roomy and quiet when it's not busy, and it was very clean and decorated nicely.

Tried EBISU today 1/7/2026. We had nigiri/sashimi combo, truffle hamachi and tonkutso ramen. Ramen- it's okay my tea is hotter than ramen broth. Tea egg seems pickled for long time.( I don't recommend) Super combo( nigiri and sashi plus Ebisu roll) mediocre nigiri and sashimi both did not stand out for both me and my husband. Truffle hamachi- my husband loves truffle scent he likes it place is okay . Customer service is great very friendly. Good we tried but not going back..

We started with the Ika Maruyaki (Teriyaki grilled squid) and for $28 this was a miss. No tentacles were served and the squid did not taste very fresh. It's really not worth the price point and I don't recommend it. The next appetizer was the toro roll and I think I need to order more sushi next time. The fish was incredibly fresh with a perfect amount of rice and high quality nori. I ordered the tempura udon - you really can't go wrong with the tempura here. It has a crisply light batter that is not too thick or oily. My husband got the tonkatsu curry and this always hits. The curry is so aromatic with the warm spices and the katsu is perfectly battered and cooked.

It was a variety of cut fishes atop a fried veggie leaf (sorry I forgot what the leaf was called lol) I will definately be back for more.

We ordered takeout and only ordered the Chicken Teriyaki (lunch), Summer Citrus Roll, and the Fatty Toro Roll. The parking lot was plentiful on a Monday around 1:30pm. The interior looked clean and there were a few people dining in. I was helped by the guy working here and he was friendly and gave me our order. The Chicken Teriyaki was good and had that char taste to it which I liked when getting chicken teriyaki at restaurants. The sauce complemented the chicken and was good to me. The Summer Citrus Roll was also good and same with the Fatty Toro Roll. Everything tastes fresh to me and definitely good to have sushi again. I would recommend any of those if you weren't sure what to order here. The food here was good and we'll be back in the future!

They told me that they weren't really making it so they sold the business. It's really sad since we really like their food and especially their beef teriyaki. It was always the best. Their sushi was always fresh and we enjoyed the food there. Their restaurant will be missed and hopefully the new place will be just as good. Good luck to the owners.

For me, Hello Temaki is the place to go for Hand Rolls and adding the usuals to make a complete meal. Update: recently tried the 3 set premium hand roll including Snowcrab, fresh Hokkaido Scallop (not frozen), and Bluefin Toro and it was one of the best sushi I've had in the Sacramento area. Upon entering, we were quickly greeted and sat down. My go to is the 5 set Hand Roll and add Udon, Hamachi Kama, appetizers, or additional hand rolls like the soft shell crab. The 5 set hand roll includes Salmon, Spicy Tuna, Yuzu Negihama, Tsubugai, and Escolar. They have traditional Genmaicha Tea which I always order with my meal. I appreciate the use of plastic around the seaweed to maintain the crispiness of the seaweed. The seafood taste fresh and the perfect size cut for sushi. There's a few muted TVs in the room with slow chill music to easily allow hearing conversations at the table. The waitress kept checking up on us and we were easily able to add more orders as we gauged our hunger level.

We saw Mizuki and decided to give it a try. First off, the rolls were 50% off! So of course we each got a roll. We all loved them. I also got the taste of Himalaya which is salmon over a salt rock! Such a fun and delicious experience. The service was great. We were greeted and sat right away. Waters were promptly brought to our table as well. I would definitely recommend this location. I did have a poor experience at their other location previously; however, with this being such a great experience, I am going to give their second location another try.

Worst service we've experienced, both dining in and ordering takeout…read more The food has always been very good, but one female server has consistently been rude whenever she's waited on us. The last time we dined in, my husband politely asked for spicy mayo a second time after she forgot to bring it with our food. She rolled her eyes at him, then came back and tossed the container of spicy mayo onto our table. We didn't say anything because we wanted to be respectful to the chefs and didn't want to make a scene. Our takeout experiences haven't been much better. On one order, they forgot an entire container that was part of our meal, so we had to drive back to get it. They called to let us know they had forgotten it but also told us we needed to arrive within 10 minutes because they were closing. They also regularly forget the spicy mayo on takeout orders, even though they charge extra for it, while it's provided at no extra cost when dining in. My husband and I used to come here regularly because we genuinely loved the food, but after multiple disappointing experiences with the service, we decided it wasn't worth coming back. The food is good, but good food isn't enough when you're consistently treated poorly. I'd rather chew a jean jacket than pay to be disrespected.
