It's that time again. It's been about 3months since I've been here. Stopped in for dinner to celebrate my sister's bday. It wasn't busy when we arrived around 4ish on a Sunday early evening but shortly after, it got busy. Ordered our usual and I was so full. Love the oysters & sashimi. Always so fresh! Staff were so friendly. I'll be back soon again

Sea bass and lamb chops part of $50 AYCE set menu

My parents recently discovered the secret menu that is the $50 all you can eat! Either it's a special deal for just my Asian mandarin speaking parents, or it might be the real deal! It was the waiter's recommendation when my father and his friends came over after some golf. While 50 large isn't something to sneeze at, nowadays it's just about there with 2 rolls! What does it come with? It starts with a set menu of slices of high grade and generous cut of sashimi, ami ebi, toro, hamachi, salmon tuna etc. lobster roll, oysters with uni on top, cooked dishes of hamachi kama, sea bass and lamb chops! With more people comes more rolls as well. Edamame is also included. Give it a try and see what happens! Supposedly, if you finish all of this and still have an appetite (we were done long before then) you can order more dishes!

I've been to Ebisu a couple times and always more impressed than the last visit. The restaurant is spacious, clean with attentive service. We ordered the spicy edamame, tiger roll, caterpillar roll and sashimi special. Every dish Ebisu makes looks like a culinary work of art - and tastes just as great. The portions are tremendous. The sashimi special is enough for two and the sushi rolls are quite large. We spent over two hours and still had plenty of leftovers. Ebisu is everything you could ask for and more.

We were celebrating one belated birthday, one job update, and one new house for three separate special ladies. I wanted to celebrate with a nice lunch and after reading a few reviews of restaurants located in Elk Grove, I decided to go with EBISU and these guys did not disappoint. Our party of 7 ordered a decent size spread that included the following: * 2 Truffle Hamachi * 2 Super Combos * 1 Double Toro Roll * 1 Rainbow Roll * 1 Elk Grove Special Roll * 1 Fresh Oysters (dozen) * 2 Miso Soups * 2 Side Salads * 1 Bento Box - Mixed Tempura and Beef Teriyaki * 1 Wagyu Roll * 1 Mixed Tempura * 1 Cream Crepe Cake Presentation was lovely (see photos), sashimi was fresh, and the flavors were spot on. For example, we had the truffle hamachi prepared two ways with two different sauces -- absolutely delicious. Oh, don't forget to request for the fresh pickled wasabi. It was a $500 lunch after taxes and gratuity, and I would say it was worth every penny.

Good fresh sushi! Definitely hit the spot. Came here on a Saturday, around 5:30 and was surprised there was no wait. Our server was super friendly and great! Food of excellent and the oyster shots were on point!

If you're looking to switch up your usual sushi spot in Elk Grove, Ebisu is definitely worth a visit! Came here on a Saturday night expecting a crowd, but surprisingly it was pretty calm and we were seated right away. The space itself is huge, super clean, and has a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your meal. Service was also a highlight, everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. We went all in on the menu and ordered the fresh oysters (half with uni, half regular), double toro roll, Ebisu roll, tonkatsu ramen, and the sushi taco. Honestly... everything was sooo good. You can really tell the quality of the fish here is top-tier. The standout of the night was easily the double toro roll- so buttery, rich, and perfectly balanced. Every bite just melted in your mouth. That alone is worth coming back for. For a first visit, Ebisu definitely made a strong impression. Between the quality, service, and overall experience, I'd absolutely come back to explore more of the menu!

Came in on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but we got sat right away without a wait. Ordered the teriyaki and sesame chicken entrees. They brought out my fiancés food first, and mine finally like 15 mins later. They must've forgotten about mine because by the time mine came out, the chicken was piping hot but the veggies on the plate were already cold. Not even room temperature, but just cold. My fiancé was literally already done eating by that time. I was pretty disappointed but didn't want to make a fuss. Service was moving slow, no one ever checked on us. I wasn't impressed this time. Sauce was also a little salty today. Hope it's better next time.

Came by on a Friday night around 6pm and we were seated quickly as a party of two. Seemed they had a larger birthday party in a private room but this did not slow down service. We ordered the Sacramento, caterpillar, spider and lobster rolls, which are all cooked rolls. We also got the gesso and soft shell crab as appetizers. Half of our rolls came out before the appetizers did. Staff were good about clearing plates out of the way as we finished. Enjoyed all the food but I'd probably ask for less sauce on the sushi rolls next time.

Bc of their coupon in the EG Marketplace flyer we only knew about this restaurant. We actually visited it prior to those coupons with friends though. Am I making sense? Of course not! I know. Silly me! lol Their food is decent but better in house to tell you the truth. Lots of parking in their huge lot & service is fast & convenient. We like the chill ambiance & it's very relaxing here. We prefer eating in the restaurant just bc to go well you know what happens. It's just not the same. I think they know us here as frequent as we have been here!!! My favorite is the chirashi bowl & my wife likes the steak chimichurri with steamed veggies. It's truly delicious. Reluctantly to write reviews bc once the word gets out it gets too busy! Oh the first time we were here that humongous sushi roll was cool to see!!! I remembered my wife ordering the chicken teriyaki & it was totally immersed with sauce so ask for sauce on the side! Mark my words!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally made it there for lunch. I ordered theTonkatsu Ramen. It was better than some of the other local places but I've had better in Bay Area and So Cal. Service was a little slow as there was only one person taking orders, and there was a big party in the side room. The place was a lot bigger than I thought. Might give it another try in the future so I can try their sushi.

My first time visiting this restaurant. Nice size to accommodate small and large groups. We were seated right away. Menu offered a different variety of items that I dont normally see. So if you're being adventurous with raw fish, its the place for you. Service was decent and food was really good. It felt like we ordered everything. -Green tea -Gyoza -Bbq spare ribs -Teriyaki chicken -Beef Teriyaki -Lobster roll

Service was phenomenal! Our waitress was consistent on checking up on us, refilling our beverages, and overall just really friendly. The food was equally just as phenomenal. We got a few rolls, oysters, clay rice pot. Everything was fresh, lots of flavor, and sauced very well. Their presentation was also really beautiful. I tried things I would definitely order next time. The restaurant is pretty roomy and quiet when it's not busy, and it was very clean and decorated nicely.

Tried EBISU today 1/7/2026. We had nigiri/sashimi combo, truffle hamachi and tonkutso ramen. Ramen- it's okay my tea is hotter than ramen broth. Tea egg seems pickled for long time.( I don't recommend) Super combo( nigiri and sashi plus Ebisu roll) mediocre nigiri and sashimi both did not stand out for both me and my husband. Truffle hamachi- my husband loves truffle scent he likes it place is okay . Customer service is great very friendly. Good we tried but not going back..

I brought my two kids for brunch before church because we actually meant to go next door to the bakery, then saw this place was open, so we decided, why not? We are so glad we did. The place is so clean and gives you the ambiance of flying on a first-class luxury plane. To get the full experience, you should order your own dish because, just like a luxury flight, everyone will get their own individual starters and drinks. The flight attendants, a.k.a. servers, were all so sweet and had great customer service. The food came out very well presented. We will definitely come here again. Great for a special occasion. And the prices are actually very reasonable. Get the Japanese bento box if you go there for brunch because it came out looking way better than the picture. In fact, it was so much better, I wouldn't have used the picture they used for their menu. Because if I saw a picture of what I actually received, then I would've ordered it immediately. I gave them five stars, which is very rare coming from me, because their vision and approach is bold and unique. I appreciate businesses that take big risks and execute their vision impeccably with what they have. Thank you, Sky Port Restaurant and Bar! The garlic noodles were really good they had a soy sauce flavor, garlicky and cheesy. The price was pretty expensive considering I've spent $30 less elsewhere. Here at hook & reel I spent $96 The service was good. She was very kind and helpful but also wasn't very attentive. The restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean. Guess you have to pretend to walk in the door to order or call in while you're sitting down to place the order to-go to avoid it being part of the total bill. Hopefully they change that system because why would you charge to-go orders as part of the dine-in to rack up the gratuity tip for an under par service!? When I questioned the server how does it make sense and she said yes we can cancel the order and call it in rather than just taking the initiative to separate the orders. I came across edamame under appetizers. Based on the description, I ordered it. I love me some spicy edamame, especially when it's seasoned very well. I got my order to go, got home and when I opened the edamame, it was not what I expected. It was sitting in liquid. The description of the edamame under appetizers says nothing about it being in any kind of liquid or sauce. So I revisited the establishment tonight, which is Friday (the next day). I explained to the employee taking my order what I expected based on the description on the menu and what I got. I even showed her pictures. She said she's never seen edamame made that way (not in sauce) even though there's a picture of it being made that way under their Yelp profile. There was no attempt to rectify the situation so I left it be but it is a bit disheartening to order something with a specific description, then you get home and your order is not what you thought it would be and then there is no recourse provided. Based on this experience, my tip for future patrons is to ensure you get clarification on an item if you are trying it for the first time because it might not come in the same way it is described on the menu. Came for a bday dinner - made reservations on Open Table and got sat relatively quickly. Free bread and butter. Butter was soft which was very much appreciated. Bread was not warm but still fine. 5/5 Boston clam chowder. Got a bowl and split with a friend. Really creamy with decent clam and potatoes. 5/5 field greens salad. The dressing is light, the cheese is delicious. The pecans are sweet and crunchy. One of my favorite salads ever. Not sure why it's so delicious! 4/5 crab cakes. Small portions but the cakes were flaky and the crispy fried scallions were so good I added to everything. Server was King, he was excellent, taking care of all our needs and so polite. He offered to split our entrees for us when we were having a hard time deciding. 3/5 halibut was sadly not very well flavored. 3.5/5 the ribeye wasn't as good as previous times. A bit chewy and flat. 4.5/5 garlic mashed potatoes with the entree didn't taste very garlicky so we asked the server to double check it was garlic. He came out with a giant replacement serving for us which was awesome and perfect. He indicated the chef added extra garlic which was exactly what we needed. We got a free dessert for our bday girl. She got the mixed berry cobbler complete with a candle and I got a crème brulee. 4/5 crème brulee, one of the better desserts I've had there. We also got a free champagne bottle for her bday l which was a nice touch. Inside was dim and dark but always feels very private. The entrees were less tasty than in prior visits which was a bit disappointing but prior visits were much better than expected so the bar may have been set too high. Hoping the food will be back on point next time, but overall still a solid visit.

Gave this place another try. My wife ordered the special halibut and I ordered the skirt steak (med…read morerare). Skirt steak came out med well but still tender. Skirt steak is thin so it's hard to cook to med rare. Halibut was overcooked and dry. Server came by and asked how everything was. Told him halibut was dry and overcooked. He said something like "let me check on that" and walked away. Next time I saw him he asked if we wanted dessert.

Shout out for West Sacramento…read more.. Did you know that right in West Sacramento there is a seafood stand selling fresh sustainable caught hook n line fish plucked from the Bodega Bay? Well know you do... Ferrari Fisheries has a stand that sells black cod, ling cod, red snapper which all are year round catches; and seasonal Dungeness crab and salmon. When they have a fresh caught batch; they text their customers what is available catch, and time & date. To get their text notifications; you can sign up on their website. I was fortunate enough to get to their stand early enough on a notification day to buy a couple of Dungeness crabs. The crabs were live, priced at $11/pound. Awesome price! When you get to the stand, there are two lines. The first line you want to get into is the one nearest the big containers where the fish on ice or crabs are kept. If you want your fish filleted, let them know. It is a complimentary service. Then you head into the other line to pay. They take cash and card, I'm not sure about other payment types. Keep in mind, the inventory sells quickly especially the seasonal items. Folks queue up earlier than the opening time stated in the texts. The start time was 10am; I got there at 10:20 am. They sold out as I was leaving the stand. Anthony (owner and fishing captain), his wife, and team are terrific. They all were helpful and had the best attitudes. Welcoming. I'm sure they answer the same questions over and over. But when talking with each customer, they were engaged and provided individual attention. Top notch customer service!

It's a decently sized restaurant capable of accommodating at least 60 people. When we arrived, there was already a group of at least 20 people in the rear, and they were able to accommodate our group of 6 children and 6 adults. Although there was a bit of a wait for the food because they were short staffed, we had the happy hour menu to choose deals from and entertainment from the large group's karaoke to keep us busy in the meantime. When the food came out, I was surprised to find such tasty, and, large crawfish and shrimp on our table! The food was piping hot and the portions nice and big. I especially loved that the seafood came out in metal bowls instead of the plastic bags every other boil place serves their boils in. Extra points to them for being environmentally friendly! After a few bottles of soju, our group decided to partake in the free karaoke too, and we had a great time belting our hearts out. All in all, we loved the fair prices, delicious food, kid and family environment, and will definitely be back the next time we're in town. Thanks for the awesome night, Crab City!
