Oyster nachos are slammin, and the seafood platter was awesome. And the freaking raw oysters were amazing. Im from Louisiana and i know the taste of my oysters. Because we were on our anniversary we were treated to a sample of all the oysters on the menu and the gulf oysters were hands down the best. Excellent food with service to match. I eat here whenever I visit my family in Edmond. The etoufee was the best I've ever had. Had the bacon wrapped shrimp and scallops at last visit. Scallops were cooked to perfection - delicate and buttery with the perfect sear! A lot of places tend to overcook them, leaving them like rubber. Perfect for a date or with family. We love this place and come here often. Seafood is my favorite and their shrimp is the best that I have ever eaten but I try other dishes too. My daughter loves their oysters. The quality of their food is consistent on everything we have tried. We have only had one issue, which was quickly resolved. Mistakes happen and I believe that how a mistake is rectified really says a lot. They have earned our loyalty and we will continue to eat there. read more

I've been to the Dallas location and this was our first visit to the Edmond location. The manager Corey was absolutely fantastic. He and our super sweet server Alexis made the atmosphere so welcoming and fun. You can tell as soon as you walk in that everyone there loves their job. It's reflected in their customer service and their fantastic food. The oyster nachos are an all time favorite appetizer and I always order them. Their blue point oysters are super fresh and delicious, my personal favorite preparation is chargrilled. The shrimp and grits were an explosion of flavor, and cooked to perfection. Corey held the door and wished well to all of the customers as they left, including us. He checked on us and all of the tables, making rounds to every area including the bar multiple times and made sure we were enjoying everything. Alexis kept our drinks full and food served hot, and politely cleared all of our plates in a timely fashion with a smile. Overall they exceeded all expectations and it made for a very lovely anniversary dinner. We left very happy and we will definitely be back. Best seafood in the OKC area by far. read more

First time was my last time. The waiter was great but the host staff and bartender were awful. The oysters were fine but not garnished well (no lemon?!). My fish special was extraordinarily bland. I tried my wife's fried cod and it was good but her fries were terribly salty. Everything was overpriced for the quality. Overall, disappointed. read more

I loved our lunch here's today. I'd heard good things, and fish sounded really good to me. My mom and I split the large order of catfish with waffle fries and cole slaw. We also ordered an extra order of hush puppies because I needed that action. I really loved the food. The catfish had a crispy cornmeal batter that was really good, and not in any way greasy, which is quite a feat. The waffle fries were really good too, and the hush pups were tops. I'm not a cole slaw gal, so I'll refrain from providing my inexperienced opinion on all things slaw. I also appreciated that they split the dish for my mom and me. The ambience is relaxed upscale casual, and the restaurant, including the ladies restroom was spotless. So, minus one star for a server who disappeared a few times for several minutes when we needed something, and for the weird display of specials. Let me explain: there's a chalkboard of the specials, but it is on the long wall of the restaurant - you can't see it from about 90% of the tables. So, we asked our sever to tell us the specials. We discussed the odd placement of the chalkboards amongst our little group. When we left, we looked back at the specials board, and we realized she'd only told us the main specials ($15-25 range) and not the lunch specials ($9-12 range). I could have gotten up and walked over and looked myself, but I trusted we were getting all the info. Not a big deal, but it felt like she was too busy to tell us the specials, and/or didn't want to tell us about the more affordable ones. If they want to move more specials, they should use one of the two, huge chalkboards that can be seen from all the table. I would totally come back here, a solid lunch spot for when I start going to OB appointments every two weeks and I'm in Edmond all the time. Just sharing some finer points of things I think could use some work. read more

It's quite spendy for the amount you get. We got the crab cakes - which shouldn't be plural as there was one large crab cake. Taste was good but for 11.99 maybe two? I got the stuffed flounder special which was ok, I needed to add some more seasoning as it was a little bland, portion again was small, crab bisque was good. My husband got the seafood platter. I wish I took a pic as it came with only one small red potato, and we had to de-vein the shrimp. All in all good flavors, spendy and small portions! I wouldn't mind the price if it was a bit larger portion. read more

The shrimp and grits were the best I've ever eaten. The service was fantastic. The drinks were great. I recommend the frozen margarita.

We hoped it would be good. We had no idea it would be this great! It was our first time there and our server, Leslie, brought us a sample of the oyster nachos as well as the soups. The nachos were amazing and the soup samples were good too. The gulf oysters were nice and plump, just the way we like 'em, and the apple cider slaw is not to be missed. We had one of those rare perfect meals tonight. Fish City Grill pulled off the hat trick. Drinks, main course, and dessert. The drinks set the tone for an unexpected treat to the palette. They are known for their oyster nachos which are great but this evening the stars of the show were the cod cakes and blackened redfish. Wow just superb. I moved back to Edmond a little over a year ago from Charlottesville, VA I was having trouble finding good seafood. My sister called from Tampa, Fl and wanted to buy our mother and myself some seafood. I had driven by Fish City a number of times and my mother had told me that in the past my father and her had been there to eat. I mentioned this to my sister and she called and ordered fried shrimp and fried oysters along with some lobster bisque. Let me tell you......it was out of this world. Oh my goodness! It is so rare to find authentic Creole cuisine in the middle of America. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was even better. Our server, Karima, was so helpful and friendly. She went out of her way to make us feel at home. She was very knowledgeable about the menu items and really helped us make great choices. Reading through some of the previous reviews, I like to believe that this establishment has really grown from it's critiques that it's received. My girlfriend and I have been in Edmond for a few years now and just discovered this place. Personally, I'm glad we did. While I've only visited 3 or so times, I've rather enjoyed it. We've hit it around noon and 6pm and every time the restaurant was only moderately busy, so the noise level has been pretty quiet. Most other customers I see are sitting at the bar. We were promptly greeted and sat within a moment of stepping in. I prefer booths and this place has plenty of them. Friendly staff as well. I wish I could comment on more of their food, but every time I have sprung for the fish n' chips. Though I wasn't thrilled with their "Apple Cider Coleslaw" that comes with it. Though that's personal preference and I'm picky about my slaw. I've learned from that and substituted one of their soups. Which, by the way, are quite tasty. The clam chowder was very creamy and flavorful and my g/f really enjoyed their crab bisque. Though she had a time handling the Shrimp Po'Boy, she said it was good. Fish City Grill has quickly become a favorite of mine for lunch. I can see myself visiting more when it cools down. read more

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible... Did I mention it was horrible?! I have been here two times. The first time was okay but they were out of every special they had written on the board so I was stuck with the salmon. My salmon was sub par and over priced. The second time I went I was with a large group of people. Every single person complained about their food and all the tables around us were complaining. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were not edible. The service was very slow, and when we complained about the food the waitress did nothing to make it up to us. We tried to give Fish City a second chance and they failed again. I have never left a resturant feeling robbed like I did the night we ate at fish city. My coworkers and I love this place as a seafood lunch option. We've been going regularly for over a year now and never had a bad experience. So I thought a review was long overdue. Crab Cake Sandwich! This is probably my favorite item on the menu, it's delicious, filling, and goes well with a poster or stout beer. While we're on that topic the Crab Bisque is killer as well. Just typing that made me want some. Taco specials! If they're running a taco special on the chalk board, order it. I've had several and enjoyed them all, their portions are normally more suitable for lunch than the giant fish taco dinner (still good, just a lot of food). Tacos pair well with a Moscow Mule. If they have the Salmon Enchilada special on the board, order it. One of my favorite dishes there. Goes well with the Spatan Optimator they keep on tap. I can say their standard items like fish n' chips, or the Cajun menu items are all pretty well done. My only disappointment was the Crawfish Etouffee, It didn't really get me that excited. Overall it's one of may favorite places. Maybe priced a little higher than it should, but hasn't been a deterrent for me. Fair warning, lunch can get busy there. read more

I've been going here for years. The food has never let me down. The chargrilled oysters are amazing. My favorite desert was the pecan cobbler which is seasonal. Overall, I was fairly disappointed with my experience at Fish City. We were promptly greeted and seated by a very enthusiastic waitress. She took our drink orders and returned soon enough to discuss the menu. She seemed very knowledgeable of the menu and its offerings and suggested an item that for some reason eludes my mind. My sister (who isn't a seafood fan) ordered a burger. Up to this point, I was pretty psyched. And then she disappeared and we never saw her again. We later found out she was in a meeting with a manager in the back of the restaurant which is perfectly fine. However, we weren't aware that the guy who dropped off our food had now become our official waiter. There was no greeting or heads up. And so after sampling the shrimp, I was severely disappointed in both the portion size and the quality (very bland) of the dish. Since I was waited for our original waitress, I sat there for 15 minutes before just giving up. We had to flag the guy down (who was busy bussing the surrounding tables) to ask about what happened to our waitress. Annoying. And our drinks were never refilled. So for now, I'll leave this review with 3 stars. I'm inclined to try it again and give it one more shot since a few of the dishes sounded promising. read more

Very satisfied as we were looking for something different for a late lunch. The fish tacos that we shared were excellent. To top it off, we were offered a sample of their famous Oyster Tacos. They were another pleasant surprise, although I am not necessarily a fan of oysters. These were topped with pico de gallo and a bit spicy, and did I say delicious. The atmosphere is warm and family-friendly and filled with mouth-watering aromas. As a first-time visitor, I was treated with samples of four of their soups...so delicious I won't be waiting until cooler weather to enjoy a full serving!
